Although ample Chinese-speaking studies have been published on the topic, most of them suffer from paying too little attention to dynamic multi-scalar interactions between firms, institutions, policies and places, as well as a too strong focus on individual cases. They also mostly disregard internationally recognized concepts and theories in the field. Based on these internationally recognized modern concepts, this paper therefore puts forward some potential avenues for future research on the evolution of old industrial areas in China, which should overcome existing deficits in the Chinese-speaking literature. It suggests that some evolutionary economic geography concepts such as path dependence, lock-in, path creation, relatedness, as well as multi-scalar institutional and leadership approaches have useful potentials to better understand the evolutionary processes and mechanisms of old industrial areas in China.展开更多

A patient diagnosed as multicentric gliomas is presented in this paper. He was firstly misdiagnosed as cerebral metastatic tumors, but later the histopathological examination revealed them to be glioblastoma (WHO grade IV). Additionally, the aim of the paper was to describe the case history of the patient and the problems encountered in the pathogenesis, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment.展开更多

Drawing on the rich literature on the teacher cognition in grammar, this study borrows some relevant insights for a better understanding of the relationship between teacher cognition and DI. Following a qualitative treatment, the study concludes that instruction on D1 is a dynamic debate fed by both teacher training and teachers' experience of teaching and learning in general, which leads into suggesting the need for any teacher training on DI to take into account both DI knowledge as well as teacher core and peripheral belief. The contribution of the study lies in its tapping of a relatively poorly investigated area and offering advances on the many negative or simplistic teacher attitudes regarding intonation instruction as expressed in the literature, as well as in bringing to the surfaces something which teachers sometimes are not explicitly aware of.展开更多

Methods: With data mining technology, clinical literatures related to acupuncture-moxibustion for dyspepsia published between January 1997 and July 2018 were collected from major Chinese databases, and the treatment methods, point and meridian frequencies were summarized and analyzed. Results: A total of 106 studies were included. For meridians, the top 5 meridians used were the Stomach Meridian, Conception Vessel, Spleen Meridian, Liver Meridian and Pericardium Meridian. For point selection, the leading 5 points were Zusanli (ST 36), Zhongwan (CV 12), Shangwan (CV 13), Xiawan (CV 10) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6). For major and adjunct points, the 5 most significant major points were Zusanli (ST 36), Zhongwan (CV 12), Neiguan (PC 6), Sanyinjiao (SP 6) and Shangwan (CV 13);the 5 most significant adjunct points were Neiting (ST 44), Qihai (CV 6), Fenglong (ST 40), Yinlingquan (SP 9) and Tianshu (ST 25). For treatment method, the top 3 methods used were moxibustion alone, acupuncture alone and acupuncture combined with medicinal herbs. Conclusion: The main meridian chosen in acupuncture-moxibustion for dyspepsia was the Stomach Meridian, and the points were mainly selected from the Stomach Meridian;treatment method was moxibustion alone, which may provide reference for clinical treatment of this disease.展开更多
