Model adjustment and verification were performed in conjunction with field data. The simulated results coincide well with measured data.In addition the model is applied to predict the shore-line planning scheme of Lingdingyang Bay.The theoretical criterion is provided for the shore line plan in the model. And a new mathematical simulated method is put out to research the planning engineering concerned with one-dimensional net rivers and two-dimensional estuary.展开更多

In this paper, we study the effect of a conductor between the transmitter and the survey area on the target conductor response using forward modeling and inversion. The 2D forward finite element calculations show that the conductor mainly affects the response at middle and low frequencies. The lower the resistivity and the larger the conductor, the larger the effect and the effect increases with decreasing frequency. The inversion results indicate that the calculated position of the target body can move towards the source, leading to an incorrect interpretation without considering the conductor. In order to reduce the effect of a conductor between the source and the survey area, CSEM acquisition should be conducted in three dimensions using multiple sources and 3D inversion should be used during interpretation.展开更多

In order to study the thermal conduction mechanism, we obtained gray images of coal mass microstructure by scanning samples with a digital microscope. With the use of Matlab, these gray images were transformed into binary images, which were then transformed into a corresponding matrix consisting only of the values 0 and 1. According to the calculation method of box-counting dimension, we calculated the fractal dimension of the loose coal to be approximately 1.86. The thermal conductivity expressions of loose coal were derived based on the simulation method of thermal resistance. We calculated the thermal conductivity of loose coal by using a fractal model and compared the calculated values with our experimental data. The results show that the test data show an encourag-ing agreement with the calculated values. Hence fractal theory is a feasible method for studying thermal conductivity of loose coal.展开更多

The study shows that: (1) under the different jet-to-surface spacing, the impingement cooling with inline arrangement is better than that with staggered arrangement for a given jet-to-crossflow mass flux ratio;( 2 ) the value of jet-to-surface spacing impacts a complicated effect on the flow and heat transfer for jet array impingement; (3) as the ratio of crossflow-to-jet mass flux ratio increases, the cooling effectiveness on monotonous decrease for both inline and staggered arrangements at the same jet-to-surface spacing.展开更多

The movement forms and flow field characteristics of a multi-moving state AUV navigating in head sea at high speed were studied. The mathematical model on longitudinal motion of the high-speed AUV in head sea was established with considering the hydrodynamic lift based on strip theory, which was solved to get the heave and pitch of the AUV by Gaussian elimination method. Based on this, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method was used to establish the mathematical model of the unsteady viscous flow around the AUV with considering free surface effort by using the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations, shear-stress transport (SST) k-w model and volume of fluid (VOF) model. The three-dimensional numerical wave in the computational field was realized through defining the unsteady inlet boundary condition. The motion forms of the AUV navigating in head sea at high speed were carried out by the program source code of user-defined function (UDF) based on dynamic mesh. The hydrodynamic parameters of the AUV such as drag, lift, pitch torque, velocity, pressure and wave profile were got, which reflect well the real ambient flow field of the AUV navigating in head sea at high speed. The computational wave profile agrees well with the experimental phenomenon of a wave-piercing surface vehicle. The force law of the AUV under the impacts of waves was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively, which provides an effective theoretical guidance and technical support for the dynamics research and shape design of the AUV in real complex environnaent.展开更多

Through response computations and time series analysis, chaotic behavior in the reduced system was discussed in details. Firstly, the dynamical response of the reduced system under a set of parameters was calculated, and the power spectrum of the attractor was obtained through fast Lagrangian transformation; then the phase space was reconstructed by fixing embedding dimension to be 6 and delay time to range from 1 to 20, and the correlation dimension of the attractor was calculated based on the curves under the coordinates of logarithm of correlation integral vs. logarithm of covering radius; and lastly, the Lyapunov indices of the attractor were calculated by using Gram-Schmit's orthogonalization method. The results show that the power spectrum of the attractor is continuous; the correlation dimension of the attractor is equal to 2.36; among the Lyapunov indices, LE1, LE2, LE3 are positive, LE5, LE6 are negative, and LE4 fluctuates near zero. All the analysis indicates that there may exist chaos in the system of non-steady, non-Darcy flow.展开更多
