With the rapid development of technology, academic English assessment is facing new challenges. The book Assessing Academic English for Higher Education Admissions surveys the definitions of the four language abilities: reading, listening, writing, and speaking, and focuses on interpreting the construct framework of assessing academic English abilities. Using TOEFL iBT, IELTS, and PTE as examples of academic English tests, the book compares and contrasts the practical operations of these assessments.
