ERT(electrical resistance tomography) is effective method for visualization of multiphase flows,offering some advantages of rapid response and low cost,so as to explore the transient hydrodynamics.Aiming at this target,a fully programmable and reconfigurable FPGA(field programmable gate array)-based Compact PCI(peripheral component interconnect) bus linked sixteen-channel ERT system has been presented.The data acquisition system is carefully designed with function modules of signal generator module;Compact PCI transmission module and data processing module(including data sampling,filtering and demodulating).The processing module incorporates a powerful FPGA with Compact PCI bus for communication,and the measurement process management is conducted in FPGA.Image reconstruction algorithms with different speed and accuracy are also coded for this system.The system has been demonstrated in real time(1400 frames per second for 50 kHz excitation) with signal-noise-ratio above 62 dB and repeatability error below 0.7%.Static experiments have been conducted and the images manifested good resolution relative to the actual object distribution.The parallel ERT system has provided alternative experimental platform for the multiphase flow measurements by the dynamic experiments in terms of concentration and velocity. 展开更多

The Effect of Some Effective Quantities to Electronic Stopping Power

The dependences of effective quantities Z*, Zt,/*, (effective number of electrons for ionization and for quasi-molecule, effective mean excitation energy) on the incident ion energy have been studied for a pervious stopping power calculation method, and Bohr stripping criterion and quasi-molecule criterion in this regard have been discussed in some details. The effect of effective quantities to the obtained stopping power results is investigated by calculating stopping powers. The contributions to stopping power from the modified LSS and Bethe formulas have been calculated separately and compared in graphs of stopping power. The stopping power for lithium ions in the intermediate and higher energy region is found to be dominant due to excitation-ionization whereas quasi molecule criterion is dominant in the lower energy region. 展开更多

Cd3As2 was recently identified as a novel three-dimensional (3D) topological semimetal hosting the long-pursuing 3D Dirac Fermion. Crystals of Cd3As2 grown preferentially along the [100] and [112] directions were obtained through the modified chemical vapor transfer growth method, thus allowing the examination of transport anisotropy. The resistivity and magnetore- sistance (MR) are basically linear with respect to magnetic field (H) in the measured temperature range of 2-300 K irrespective of the directions. The linear resistivity and MR are significantly anisotropic not only along [100] and [112] directions but also with respect to tilt angle between the growth directions and H, thus providing transport signatures of the 3D Dirac Fermion as well as the possible linear and anisotropic change of Weyl Fermi surface in H. Very large MR along the [100] direction is observed, even approaching 3100% at 2 K and 14 kOe (10e = 79.5775 A m^-l). The results would be helpful in renewing interest in studying emergent phenomena arising from bulk 3D Dirac Fermion as well as in paving the way for Cd3As2 to be used in magnetoelectronic sensors. 展开更多
