Being a logic extension of and many inherent connections with ABS/BSR, ACC is easily integrated with ABS/ASR to form an integrated system by adding the headway distance? detecting device to the existing ABS/ASR system and expanding the ABS/ASR software. The algorithm flowcharts and control methods of the ABS/ASR/ACC are given. The advantages of the ABS/ASR/ACC system compared with those using the stand alone systems ABS, ASR and ACC are mentioned in details.展开更多
To develop the pressure control algorithm for active braking of adaptive cruise control(ACC) system,a test bench with real parts of the tested vehicle is built.With the dynamic analysis of the active braking actuato...To develop the pressure control algorithm for active braking of adaptive cruise control(ACC) system,a test bench with real parts of the tested vehicle is built.With the dynamic analysis of the active braking actuators,it is demonstrated that different duty of pulse-width modulation(PWM) signals could control the pressure changing rate of the wheel cylinder.To obtain that signal,a modified proportional-integral-differential(PID) control algorithm is developed using the variable parameter method,the control value reset method,the dead zone method and the integral saturation method.Experimental results show that the delay and overshoot of the pressure response could be reduced considerably using the modified PID algorithm compared with the conventional one.The proposed pressure control algorithm could be used for the further development of the ACC's controller.展开更多

The validity of the algorithm to calculate the reference speeds of both the ACC vehicle and the targeted car according to the vector quadrangle composed of the relative distance, the relative azimuth angle, the relative speeds of the vehicles has also been demonstrated through numerical example in Matlab. New laws to obtain the desired deceleration by estimating the braking force according to the vehicle analyses force equation are established too.展开更多

The system including the main control module, the da...The integrated control system of vehicle ABS/ASR/ACC has been developed using the MC9S12DP256 single chip, which is the new Motorola 16-bit product in HSC12 family. The system including the main control module, the data collection module and the drive and fault diagnosis module is demonstrated and its data collection function is presented in detail. The system designed by the modularization can supervise the data, drive the valves and pump. The program can be debugged on line, which is steady and reliable validated by the large numbers of vehicle road tests.展开更多
