The Evaluation of the Dietary Habits Influence on the Microhardness of Gingiva-Coloured Composite and Acrylic Denture Base Materials

Purpose: The study investigated the impact of dietary habits, specifically soda, milk kefir, water kefir, almond milk, and distilled water (control) consumption, on the microhardness of gingiva-coloured composite and acrylic denture bases. Methods: Materials included gingiva-coloured composite (Fusion Universal G1), acrylic (Imicryl), and subdivided Procryla group. Subgroups comprised 15 and 30-minute heat polymerized (Pro15, Pro30), and 1 wt% (Pro1Z) and 3 wt% (Pro3Z) zirconium added groups. Immersed in beverages for 1, 7, and 14 days, pH and microhardness were assessed. SEM examined random samples. Statistical analysis used repeated measures ANOVA, and post hoc tests (p Results: The gingiva-coloured composites displayed noteworthy time-associated microhardness changes (p 0.05). Despite variable pH levels in beverages, no substantial group interaction effects were observed (p > 0.05). Initial microhardness rankings shifted after a 14-day immersion. Conclusions: Gingiva-coloured composite exhibited the highest microhardness pre- and post-immersion, followed by Procryla30 and Imicryl groups. . 展开更多

Majority of superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) yet reported either have low gel strength or high production cost. Therefore, we synthesized a novel polyacrylic acid-grafted China clay (Kaolinite) super-absorbent polymer composite (SAPC) with high thermal stability, low cost of production and superior sorption and retention capability for water and salt solution. The resulting SAPCs were extensively characterized and analysed by X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Results suggested that the composites were thermally stable. Water absorbency increased with increase of clay content up to 45%, while further increase in clay content decreased the water absorbency. Percentage of acrylic acid (AA) and clay by weight shows the optimum absorbency in 35% and 40% respectively. Crosslinker and initiator contents were optimized to be 0.5% and 0.3% by weight respectively. The resulting polymer composite showed high water absorbency of about 785 g/g and 103 g/g of 1% NaCl solution with above 90% retention ability at 50 oC. 展开更多

Despite the great potential of cellulose wood pulp and cellulose nanofibrils as reinforcing filler in thermoplastics,its use is limited due to its tendency to form agglomerates and due to its high hydrophilic character.Here we describe fiberboard composites with high contents of wood pulp or cellulose nanofibrils,and a resin of poly(styrene-methyl-methacrylate-acrylic acid)used as water-based emulsion.Cellulose wood pulp and cellulose nanofibrils were used directly in the form of water suspensions.The method is based on the flocculation of the polymer emulsion followed by agglomeration of a mixture of the polymer emulsion and cellulose suspension,leading to the co-precipitation of the composite material,which can be easily separated from the water phase.Composites with acrylic polymer/cellulose fibers in the proportions of 75:25,50:50 and 25:75 wt%were prepared.Composites were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA)and water absorption tests.SEM analysis revealed a very good dispersion of the fibers without evidence of agglomeration,which led to superior mechanical properties.These results showed the effectiveness of the methodology and the potential of cellulose wood pulp and CNF as reinforcement fillers in fiberboard composites and any other high fiber-content materials. 展开更多

形状记忆合金在受到强冲击荷载作用时会发生相变,而相变对其结构件的动态力学响应影响显著。本文采用同时考虑静水压力和偏应力影响的相变临界准则,推导了增量型的相变本构模型。基于广义特征理论,得到了复杂应力状态下特征波速的解析... 形状记忆合金在受到强冲击荷载作用时会发生相变,而相变对其结构件的动态力学响应影响显著。本文采用同时考虑静水压力和偏应力影响的相变临界准则,推导了增量型的相变本构模型。基于广义特征理论,得到了复杂应力状态下特征波速的解析表达式。特征波速不仅和材料本身的力学参数(如拉压不对称性和混合相的模量)有关,还和材料所处的应力状态有关。对因相变导致体积膨胀的TiNi合金而言,拉压不对称性系数的增大会提高慢波的波速,而对快波几乎没有影响。在相变椭圆的短轴处(α=90°),慢波的波速最低,并随混合相无量纲模量的增大而显著减低,混合相无量纲模量由2增加至5时,波速降低幅度为36.2%,而快波的波速达到最大值c_(0),和混合相的模量无关;在相变椭圆的长轴处(α=180°),慢波的速度达到最大值,而快波的波速达到最小值c_(2)。 展开更多

A novel biopolymer-based superabsorbent hydrogel composite based on kappa-carrageenan (κC) have been prepared via graft copolymerization of acrylic acid (AA) in the presence of bentonite powder using methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) as a crosslinking agent and ammonium persulfate (APS) as an initiator. The hydrogel structure was confirmed using FTIR spectroscopy and the morphology of the samples was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The affecting variables onto graft polymerization (i.e. AA, MBA and APS concentration, as well as the bentonite amount) were systematically optimized to achieve a hydrogel with swelling capacity as high as possible. The results of Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) analysis showed that the average pore diameter of the synthesized hydrogel was 11.5 nm. The effect of various salt media and solutions with different pHs on the swelling of the superabsorbent was also studied. 展开更多

The reverse martensitic transformation of TiNi shape memory alloy fibers embedded in a pure aluminum matrix was studied in this paper. Results showed that the phase composition of the TiNi alloy fibers prior to prestraining at the room temperature had a significant influence on the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) results of the composites. By a comparison to the high temperature X-ray diffraction (XRD) results, it was confirmed that the martensite was divided into two groups: the self-accommodating martensite (SAM) and the preferentially oriented martensite (POM). A series of poly ( 2-ethylhexyl acrylate-co-acrylic acid ) s ( P (2-EHA-co-AA) )s with different mole contents of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate ( 2-EHA ) were synthesized through free radical copolymerization in ethanol for investigating the influences of copolymer composition upon the performance such as apparent viscosity, film behaviors, and adhesion to fibers for warp sizing. The content of 2-EHA was varied from 80 % to 40 %. The adhesion was estimated by measuring tensile strength and work-to-break of impregnated roving. The film behaviors were evaluated in terms of breaking strength, breaking elongation, work-to-break, and flex- fatigue resistance. It was observed that the viscosity, adhesion, and film behaviors of the copolymers strongly depended on the content of 2-EHA. Excessively increasing or decreasing the content of 2-EHA units incorporated into the copolymeric chains reduces the serviceability of P(2-EHA-co-AA) in warp sizing. The adhesion and film behaviors of the copolymcr reach their maximal values at mole content of 50 % simultaneously. Therefore, the copolymer used as sizing agent should be synthesized under equal mole of 2-EHA and AA in monomer formulation. 展开更多

In this research, a series of wood-based panels were produced by using wood chips [beech (Fagus Sylvatica L.) and Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris L.)] as wastes of wood-working workshops and acrylic fibers as wastes of textiles factory. Four kinds of different panels (Eltapan I, II, III and IV) were obtained by mixing these components in different composition (0%, 25% and 50%). Some physical and mechanical properties of the samples taken from these panels were determined in accordance with ASTM D1037-12 and ASTM-C 1113. The values were compared to properties of industrially produced chipboard. As a result, the textile fibers used as additive material reduced density, thermal conductivity and bending resistance of wood panel and increased dimensional stability of wood panel. 展开更多

[目的]为了提高丙烯酸酯乳液涂层的防腐蚀性能,需在乳液聚合时引入功能单体,并在乳液中添加功能填料,以阻止腐蚀介质的侵入。[方法]以甲基丙烯酸十二氟庚酯(DFMA)、乙烯基三甲氧基硅烷(VTMS)及苯胺(Ani)为功能单体,通过无皂乳液聚合法制备了氟硅丙烯酸酯-苯胺共聚乳液(FSiAc-Ani);再以木质素磺酸钠为改性剂,制备了磺酸改性氧化石墨烯(SO_(3)H-GO)。在Q235钢表面制备了磺酸改性氧化石墨烯/氟硅丙-苯胺共聚乳液(SO_(3)H-GO/FSiAc-Ani)复合防腐蚀涂层。探讨了改性GO的种类、用量及不同的复合方法对复合涂层性能(尤其是防腐蚀性能)的影响。[结果]当SO_(3)H-GO用量为1.25%(相对于FSiAc-Ani乳液的质量)时,SO_(3)H-GO/FSiAc-Ani复合涂层的干、湿附着力均为0级,吸水率为1.78%,水接触角为96.56°,低频阻抗模值最大,腐蚀电位最正,腐蚀电流密度最小。[结论]相比于单纯共混的硅烷改性氧化石墨烯/聚苯胺/氟硅丙乳液(Si-GO/PANI/FSiAc)和磺酸改性氧化石墨烯/聚苯胺/氟硅乳液(SO_(3)H-GO/PANI/FSiAc)复合涂层,SO_(3)H-GO/FSiAc-Ani复合涂层对Q235钢具有更优异的防腐蚀性能。 展开更多

以聚醚砜(PES)为成膜基材,乙烯-丙烯酸共聚物(EAA)为添加剂,同时添加聚乙二醇(PEG)作为致孔剂,将N,N-二甲基乙酰胺(DMAc)作为溶液,通过非溶剂诱导相分离法制备了PES/EAA复合膜。研究了EAA的添加量对PES/EAA膜的渗透通量、抗污染性能、... 以聚醚砜(PES)为成膜基材,乙烯-丙烯酸共聚物(EAA)为添加剂,同时添加聚乙二醇(PEG)作为致孔剂,将N,N-二甲基乙酰胺(DMAc)作为溶液,通过非溶剂诱导相分离法制备了PES/EAA复合膜。研究了EAA的添加量对PES/EAA膜的渗透通量、抗污染性能、亲水性、拉伸强度等的影响,并使用扫描电子显微镜和傅里叶变换红外光谱、孔径分布测试对膜的结构进行表征及测试。结果表明,EAA有效改善了复合膜的亲水性和截留性能。当EAA的质量分数为0.8%时,PES/EAA复合膜的综合性能最佳,与PES基膜相比,PES/EAA复合膜的接触角由68.43°降低至51.81°,纯水通量由8.42 L/(m^(2)·h)提高至153.68 L/(m^(2)·h),对1 g/L的牛血清蛋白溶液的截留率由94.12%提高至99.32%。 展开更多

聚合物材料在湿敏材料的制备中得到了广泛的应用,但其灵敏度低、响应速度慢、解吸附能力差等问题仍然存在,限制了其发展潜力。本文通过将聚丙烯酸树脂(HAC)与埃洛石纳米管(HNTs)复合,以提高聚丙烯酸树脂阻抗型湿度传感器的湿敏响应性能... 聚合物材料在湿敏材料的制备中得到了广泛的应用,但其灵敏度低、响应速度慢、解吸附能力差等问题仍然存在,限制了其发展潜力。本文通过将聚丙烯酸树脂(HAC)与埃洛石纳米管(HNTs)复合,以提高聚丙烯酸树脂阻抗型湿度传感器的湿敏响应性能。采用扫描电子显微镜、透射电子显微镜和原子力显微镜观察材料薄膜的表面形貌特征和粗糙度,证明HNTs的掺杂提高了复合材料的湿敏性能。采用红外光谱仪测试材料的分子结构,证明了HNTs成功掺杂形成复合材料。采用热重分析仪测试材料的热重曲线,表明材料具有良好的热稳定性。采用LCR数字电桥测试叉指电极的阻抗,结果表明,材料的湿敏响应曲线具有高的线性度(r=0.99986)、超快的响应/恢复速度(0.4 s/9.8 s)、小的湿滞(0.78%RH)和低的温变系数(0.013%RH/℃)。采用复阻抗谱法研究了材料的湿度响应机制,在低、中湿度范围内由湿敏材料的本征导电占主导,在高湿度范围内由离子导电性占主导地位。 展开更多
