Methodology: Syncytiotrophoblast microvilli (stbm) and l-arginine nitrosyl methyl ester were screened out via caudal vein injection. Twenty gestational hypertension-preeclampsia model SD (Sprague Dawley) rats successfully induced by L-NAME (L-arginine Nitrosyl methyl ester) were randomly divided into 2 groups (model group and Danshen injection group, n = 10). Then another 10 normal pregnant SD rats without model were selected as blank control group. The Salvia miltiorrhiza injection group was given Salvia miltiorrhiza injection (0.5 g?kg?1?d?1) through tail vein, and the control group and model group were given equal volume of normal saline through tail vein injection. All three groups were treated by tail vein injection once a day (d) for 7 days. After treatment, heart rate (HR), Systolic pressure (SP), diastolic pressure (DP) and mean arterial pressure (MAP) were measured by tail artery. Left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVDd) and Left ventricular end systolic diameter (LVDs) were recorded by echocardiography. Left ventricular end diastolic pressure (LVEDP), left ventricular systolic pressure (LVSP), left ventricular ejection fraction (left ventricular ejection) fraction, LVEF) and the maximum rate of increase/decrease of left ventricular pressure during isovolemic systole (+dp/dtmax/?dp/dtmax);Endothelin-1 (ET-1) levels in rat tail vein blood were detected by ELISA. Results: SP, DP, MP, HR, LVSP, LVDs and ?dp/dtmaxx were all decreased, plasma ET-1 expression was low, and LVDd, LVEDP, LVEF, and +dp/dtmax were all increased in the Salvia miltiorroot injection group, with statistical significance compared to the model group (p Conclusion: Salvia miltiorrhiza injection can improve the cardiac function and reduce blood pressure in rats with pregnancy-induced hypertension and preeclampsia, and the mechanism may be related to alleviating systemic arteriolar spasm by regulating ET-1 level.展开更多

In this study, we aimed to investigate the FC changes of cardiac patients after the CR program in different subgroups in terms of anthropometric, clinical, and psychological indices. <strong>Materials and Methods:</strong> This is a descriptive retrospective study that has been derived from the results of a Cohort study at the Rehabilitation Research Center of the Cardiovascular Research Institute of Isfahan (Iran), from 2006 to 2017. In this study, the dependent variable is functional capacity changes based on Mets obtained in exercise testing at the beginning and end of the CR program. Independent variables included age, sex, dyslipidemia, diabetes, smoking, and Body mass index, type of intervention, depression, and EF. <strong>Results:</strong> The sample size is 1250 cardiovascular patients, of which 917 (73.5%) are male and 331 (26.5%) are female. Functional capacity after the CR program significantly increased in all age, gender, body mass index, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, smoking, depression, EF, and type of operation performed (angioplasty or open-heart surgery) subgroups, (p < 0.001). Using multiple linear regression analysis, a significant relationship was found between Mets changes and only the variables of gender, depression, and EF. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> The results of this study show the importance of rehabilitation programs in the secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease in different subgroups and factors such as gender, level of primary depression, and EF less than 35 are the most important factors affecting functional capacity increase after CR program in heart patients.展开更多

Realtime PCR was used to detect transcription factors T-bet and GATA-3 of Th1 and Th2; flow cytometry was applied to determine the ratio of Th17 and Treg cells; ELISA was employed to test cytokines IFN-γ, IL-4, IL-17 and IL-10 of peripheral blood Th1, Th2, Th17 and Treg cells, respectively; ultrasonic cardiogram was used to exploit to LVEF and LVEDd; and electrochemilu minescene immunoassay was used to examine plasma BNP. The differences of all indexes of all groups were analyzed and the correlation between CD4 T cells and clinical indexes was analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. Results: As compared to the control group, the transcription factors T-bet and GATA-3 of Th1 and Th2, the ratio of cytokines Th17 and IFN-γ, cytokines IL-17, T-bet/GATA-3, IFN-γ/IL-4, Th17 cells/Treg cells, IL-17/IL-10 of the ischemia group and non-ischemia group, heart functionⅠ-Ⅱgroup and heart function Ⅲ-Ⅳ group, event group and non-event group were all increased significantly, while their transcription factor GATA-3 of Th2, cytokines IL4, Treg cells ratio, cytokines IL10 were decreased obviously. The differences showed statistical significance (P < 0.05). The increase or decrease of the partial CD4+ T cells of the ischemia group, heart function Ⅲ-Ⅳ group and event group was more distinctly. The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that IFN-γ and IL-17 were significantly positively correlated with LVEDd and BNP, IL-4 and IL-10 were also significantly positively correlated with LVEF, but correlated negatively with BNP, and IL-17 was negatively correlative with LVEF. Conclusions: There was a correlation between CHF and the dysfunction of CD4+ T cells showing immune activation phenomenons of deviations from the Th1/Th2 balance towards Th1 and from the Th17/Treg balance towards Th17, which was also related to the types, severity and prognosis of the disease.展开更多

Cardiac function indicators were assessed for 96 men (18 - 35 years old) deployed into a high altitude (3700 - 4800 m) environment requiring intense physical activity. The subjects were divided into 3 groups based on AHAR at high altitude: severe AHAR (n = 24), mild to moderate AHAR (Group B, n = 47) and non-AHAR (Group C, 25);and based on HADAR: severe HADAR (Group E, n = 19), mild to moderate HADAR (Group F, n = 40) and non-HADAR (Group G, n = 37) after return to lower altitude (1,500 m). Cardiac function indicators were measured after 50 days at high altitude and at 12 h, 15 days, and 30 days after return to lower altitude. Controls were 50 healthy volunteers (Group D, n = 50) at 1500 m. Significant differences were observed in cardiac function indicators among groups A, B, C, and D. AHAR score was positively correlated with HADAR score (r = 0.863, P < 0.001). Significant differ- ences were also observed in cardiac function indicators among groups D, E, F, and G, 12 h and15 days after return to lower altitude. There were no significant differences in cardiac function indicators among the groups, 30 days after return to lower altitude, compared to group D. The results indicated that the severity of HADAR is associated with the severity of AHAR and cardiac injury, and prolonged recovery.展开更多

Methods: MI was induced by ligating the left anterior descending coronary artery in rats. Electrocardiograms, echocardiographs and hemodynamic parameters were assessed and myocardial infarct size was measured from mid-transverse sections stained with Masson's trichrome. Results:The sum of pathological Q wave amplitudes was strongly correlated with myocardial infarct size (r=0.920, P<0.0001), left ventricular ejection fraction (r=-0.868, P<0.0001) and left ventricular end diastolic pressure (r=0.835, P<0.0004).Furthermore, there was close relationship between MI size and cardiac function as assessed by left ventricular ejection fraction (r=-0.913, P<0.0001) and left ventricular end diastolic pressure (r=0.893, P<0.0001).Conclusion: The sum of pathological Q wave amplitudes after MI can be used to estimate the extent of MI as well as cardiac function.展开更多

One hundred and fifty-eight cases of gestational hypertension in our hospital were analyzed retrospectively while 30 healthy pregnant women were served as normal controls. The heart function parameters in the two groups were measured with noninvasive cardiac function analyzer, such as myocardial contractive force indexes (JP, VP), impedance indexes (RTM, RS), volume load indexes (GCV, LVDP) and left heart output index (LCI). In all 158 cases of gestational hypertension, the myocardial contractive force indexes, impedance indexes and left heart output index increased unusually. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The myocardial contractive force indexes and the impedance indexes increased significantly higher than left heart output index (P < 0.05). The noninvasive cardiac function measurement was much valuable in the early diagnosis of pregnancy-induced hypertension, especially the myocardial contractive force indexes, impedance indexes and left heart output index, it appeared to be simple and efficient, and it deserves to be clinically popularized and applied.展开更多

The systemic arterial blood pressure (BP) must be increased to prevent cerebral hypoperfusion. However, it is not clear how the cardiac function is affected when BP increase to maintain cerebral perfusion pressure in anesthetized patients. Methods: An analysis was performed using the data from 13 patients. We prepared a parallel circuit using a FloTrac Sensor transducer and an arterial BP transducer. Following the transfer of the patient to the BCP under general anesthesia, the FloTrac Sensor transducer was placed at the level of the fourth intercostal space, the arterial BP transducer was placed at the external auditory meatus level. We selected two points before surgery (120 s apart), during which the mean arterial BP (mABP) at the level of the brain was stable and at which the values in the supine position and the BCP were within 5 mmHg. Results: While the patients were in the supine position, the mean mABP at the mid-axillary level was 65.7 mmHg. In the BCP, the mean mABP was 66.5 mmHg at the external auditory meatus and 80.7 mmHg at the fourth intercostal space. The cardiac index changed from 2.2 (supine position) to 2.5 l/min/m2 (BCP). The stroke volume index was significantly increased from 35.8 to 42.3 ml/m2 (P = 0.003). The heart rate changed from 63.0 to 58.6 beats/min. The stroke volume variation was significantly decreased from 12.4% to 8.8% (P = 0.024). Conclusion: In order to ensure patient safety, close attention should be paid to the systemic cardiovascular changes that occur when the BP is increased.展开更多

Study Design and Setting: This randomized controlled trial recruited 70 patients who are in stage II CHF with ejection fraction (≤40%) from a Nigerian university teaching hospital. They were randomly assigned into Exercise Group (EG: n = 35) or Control Group (CG: n = 35). Physical function, activity of daily living (ADL), distance walked in six minutes and grip strength were assessed using a validated ADL questionnaire, six minute walk test and a hand dynamometer respectively. In addition to medication, EG underwent aerobic and upper extremity resistance exercises thrice weekly for eight weeks while CG used medications only. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Alpha level was at p p > 0.05). Significant improvements were noticed at fourth week among participants’ ADL (30.0% ± 6.0%), 6MWD (321.7 ± 26.3 m) and VO2 max (8.9 ± 0.4 mL/kg/min) variables within the exercise EG but no significant changes were observed in the CG (p > 0.05). Participants in EG demonstrated more significant improvements in ADL (15.0% ± 5.0%), 6MWD (406.0 ± 29.7 m) and VO2 max (10.3 ± 0.5 mL/kg/min) (p p > 0.05). Conclusions: Cardiac rehabilitation exercise protocols involving self-paced walking, sit-to-stand and upper extremity dynamic strength training improved activity of daily living, walking and functional capacity in patients with stable chronic heart failure.展开更多

The peak velocity of blood stream were measured, including E, A and E/A at mitral valve orifice on the four chamber view with pulse wave. And then tissue Doppler imaging mode was employed to measure the velocity of mitral valve annulus including Ea, Aa, Sa and Ea /Aa. Correlation analysis was conducted between the velocity of orifice and that of annulus in terms of gestation age. And then correlation analysis was performed between above data and gestation ages. A positive correlation was found between the velocity of orifice and that of annulus, and the velocity increased with the gestation age. The change was the most significant between the 28th and the 34th week of gestation age. Our study showed that it is feasible to evaluate the fetus’s left ventricular diastole function by tissue Doppler imaging. Its stability can avoid the influence of fetal heart rates and preload.展开更多

文摘Objective Anthracycline chemotherapeutic agents have significant cardiotoxicity. The present study emphasized the effect of anthracycline chemotherapy drugs on left ventricular(LV)myocardial stiffness in breast cancer patients by measuring the intrinsic wave velocity propagation(IVP),and evaluating the potential clinical value of IVP in detecting early LV diastolic function impairment. Methods A total of 68 newly diagnosed breast cancer patients, who were treated with anthracycline-based chemotherapy, were analyzed.Transthoracic echocardiography was performed at baseline(T0),and after 1,2,3,4 and 8 chemotherapeutic cycles(T1,T2,T3,T4 and T5,respectively).Then,the IVP,LV strain parameters[global longitudinal strain(GLS),longitudinal peak strain rate at systole(LSRs),longitudinal peak strain rate at early diastole(LSRe),longitudinal peak strain rate at late diastole(LSRa),and the E/LSRe ratio],and conventional echocardiographic parameters were obtained and further analyzed.A relative reduction of>15%in GLS was considered a marker of early LV subclinical dysfunction. Results Compared to the T0 stage,IVP significantly increased at the T1 stage. However, there were no significant changes in GLS,LSRs,or LSRe between the T0 and T1 stages. These parameters significantly decreased from the T2 stage.LSRa started to significantly decrease at the T5 stage, and the E/LSRe ratio started to significantly increase at the T3 stage(all P<0.05).At the T0 stage,IVP(AUC=0.752,P<0.001)had a good predictive value for LV subclinical dysfunction after chemotherapy. Conclusions IVP is a potentially sensitive parameter for the early clinical assessment of anthracycline-related cardiac diastolic impairment.
文摘Objective To investigate the impact of microvascular obstruction(MVO)on the global and regional myocardial function by cardiac magnetic resonance feature-tracking(CMR-FT)in ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI)patients after percutaneous coronary intervention. Methods Consecutive acute STEMI patients who underwent cardiac magnetic resonance imaging 1-7 days after successful reperfusion by percutaneous coronary intervention treatment were included in this retrospective study.Based on the presence or absence of MVO on late gadolinium enhancement images, patients were divided into groups with MVO and without MVO.The infarct zone, adjacent zone, and remote zone were determined based on a myocardial 16-segment model. The radial strain(RS),circumferential strain(CS),and longitudinal strain(LS)of the global left ventricle(LV)and the infarct, adjacent, and remote zones were measured by CMRFT from cine images and compared between patients with and without MVO using independent-samples t-test.Logistic regression analysis was used to assess the association of MVO with the impaired LV function. Results A total of 157 STEMI patients(mean age 56.66±11.38 years)were enrolled.MVO was detected in 37.58%(59/157)of STEMI patients, and the mean size of MVO was 3.00±3.76 mL.Compared with patients without MVO(n=98),the MVO group had significantly reduced LV global RS(t=-4.30,P<0.001),global CS(t=4.99,P<0.001),and global LS(t=3.51,P=0.001).The RS and CS of the infarct zone in patients with MVO were significantly reduced(t=-3.38,P=0.001;t=2.64,P=0.01;respectively)and the infarct size was significantly larger(t=8.37,P<0.001)than that of patients without MVO.The presence of LV MVO[OR=4.10,95%CI:2.05-8.19,P<0.001]and its size[OR=1.38,95%CI:1.10-1.72,P=0.01],along with the heart rate and LV infarct size were significantly associated with impaired LV global CS in univariable Logistic regression analysis, while only heart rate(OR=1.08,95%CI:1.03-1.13,P=0.001)and LV infarct size(OR=1.10,95%CI:1.03-1.16,P=0.003)were independent influencing factors for the impaired LV global CS in multivariable Logistic regression analysis. Conclusion The infarct size was larger in STEMI patients with MVO,and MVO deteriorates the global and regional LV myocardial function.
文摘Objective: This study is to observe the effects of Salvia miltiorrhiza injection on blood pressure and cardiac function in rats with pregnancy-induced hypertension and preeclampsia. Results: SP, DP, MP, HR, LVSP, LVDs and ?dp/dtmaxx were all decreased, plasma ET-1 expression was low, and LVDd, LVEDP, LVEF, and +dp/dtmax were all increased in the Salvia miltiorroot injection group, with statistical significance compared to the model group (p Conclusion: Salvia miltiorrhiza injection can improve the cardiac function and reduce blood pressure in rats with pregnancy-induced hypertension and preeclampsia, and the mechanism may be related to alleviating systemic arteriolar spasm by regulating ET-1 level.
文摘<strong>Background: </strong>Cardiac rehabilitation (CR) is a multifaceted treatment that can increase the survival and quality of life of cardiac patients by increasing their functional capacity (FC). <strong>Conclusion:</strong> The results of this study show the importance of rehabilitation programs in the secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease in different subgroups and factors such as gender, level of primary depression, and EF less than 35 are the most important factors affecting functional capacity increase after CR program in heart patients.

文摘Objective: To study the effect and mechanism of the dysfunction of CD4+ T cells in the disease process of chronic cardiac failure (CHF).Methods:According to different group technologies, 100 CHF patients were divided into the following groups: ischemia group and non-ischemia group, heart function Ⅰ-Ⅱ group and heart function Ⅲ-Ⅳ group, event group and non-event group, and 50 healthy volunteers were included in the control group. Conclusions: There was a correlation between CHF and the dysfunction of CD4+ T cells showing immune activation phenomenons of deviations from the Th1/Th2 balance towards Th1 and from the Th17/Treg balance towards Th17, which was also related to the types, severity and prognosis of the disease.

文摘The relationship between acute high altitude response (AHAR), cardiac function injury, and high altitude de-adaptation response (HADAR) was assessed. The results indicated that the severity of HADAR is associated with the severity of AHAR and cardiac injury, and prolonged recovery.
文摘Objective:Myocardial infarction (MI) is the main cause of heart failure, but the relationship between the extent of MI and cardiac function has not been clearly determined. The present study was undertaken to investigate early changes in the electrocardiogram associated with infarct size and cardiac function after MI. Methods: MI was induced by ligating the left anterior descending coronary artery in rats. Electrocardiograms, echocardiographs and hemodynamic parameters were assessed and myocardial infarct size was measured from mid-transverse sections stained with Masson's trichrome. Results:The sum of pathological Q wave amplitudes was strongly correlated with myocardial infarct size (r=0.920, P<0.0001), left ventricular ejection fraction (r=-0.868, P<0.0001) and left ventricular end diastolic pressure (r=0.835, P<0.0004).Furthermore, there was close relationship between MI size and cardiac function as assessed by left ventricular ejection fraction (r=-0.913, P<0.0001) and left ventricular end diastolic pressure (r=0.893, P<0.0001).Conclusion: The sum of pathological Q wave amplitudes after MI can be used to estimate the extent of MI as well as cardiac function.
文摘This paper aims to explore the diagnostic value of noninvasive?cardiac function measurement for hypertension in pregnancy. The noninvasive cardiac function measurement was much valuable in the early diagnosis of pregnancy-induced hypertension, especially the myocardial contractive force indexes, impedance indexes and left heart output index, it appeared to be simple and efficient, and it deserves to be clinically popularized and applied.
文摘Background: Shoulder surgery is performed in the beach chair position (BCP). Conclusion: In order to ensure patient safety, close attention should be paid to the systemic cardiovascular changes that occur when the BP is increased.

文摘Objective: This study investigated the effects of cardiac rehabilitation exercise protocols on physical function (PF) in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF). Conclusions: Cardiac rehabilitation exercise protocols involving self-paced walking, sit-to-stand and upper extremity dynamic strength training improved activity of daily living, walking and functional capacity in patients with stable chronic heart failure.
文摘To explore the feasibility of using tissue Doppler imaging technique for the evaluation of fetus’s left ventricular diastolic function, and to confirm its reliability by comparing it with traditional methods, this study examined 61 pregnant women in whom satisfactory images were obtained of fetal echocardiography. Its stability can avoid the influence of fetal heart rates and preload.
