Most colleges and universities in China have basically achieved the popularity of computer multimedia classrooms and campus networks. However, according to researches(Xia, 2002), most teachers still hold the main role of them in classes as"language interpreter"and"language instructor". Although advanced computer technology has been provided, most teachers feel confused or difficult in using it to assist their English teaching efficiently. As a consequence, computer technology fail to play its role in English classes. Driven by the great development of science and technology, computer has brought about incredible changes in every aspect of social life since 1980 s. In current times, almost every aspect of college students' life has been closely associated with computer. However, in most situations, computer is not taken as a typical language learning tool in their daily life. It is known that most students' English basis is relatively weak in vocational colleges; meanwhile, the way in which they learned English during the middle school period was basically translation- based teaching. The results show that a series of in-class and out-of-class activities could help improve the students' language competence as well as non-language competence such as learning strategies,emotional attitudes,and cultural awareness. The results show that a series of in-class and out-of-class activities could help improve the students' language competence as well as non-language competence such as learning strategies,emotional attitudes,and cultural awareness. The implementation and effect of school online courses were inferior to classroom teaching,but they provide reference and experience for future mixed teaching.
文摘With the development of domestic higher education towards the popularization of education and the integration of global economy,as a basic course in colleges and universities,college English has been playing an important role in the process of higher education.Therefore,under the guidance of scientific and technological innovation and information technology,it is necessary and worthy trying to explore and establish a practical English blended teaching mode to improve college students’English comprehen⁃sive ability.This essay attempts to discuss the problems and reflections of blended teaching mode,explore the college English teaching strategy under the blended teaching mode,which establishes the practical English blended teaching mode,promote teach⁃ing equity and benefit teachers and students.
