This work is devoted to the study of the relationship between strong earthquakes and planetary configurations using the example of two consecutive strong earthquakes that occurred in Türkiye (Turkey), on February...This work is devoted to the study of the relationship between strong earthquakes and planetary configurations using the example of two consecutive strong earthquakes that occurred in Türkiye (Turkey), on February 6, 2023. It is shown that at the time of the earthquakes, linear alignment of the planets along the Jupiter-Venus-Sun line was observed, that is, the astronomical trigger belonged to the generalized Kepler conjunction scheme (gKc), when the Earth does not participate in the linearization scheme. It is shown that for the first earthquake that occurred at 01:17 UTC, the ratio of the distances between Jupiter-Earth and Jupiter-Mars was close to an integer value equal to 5.993. For the second earthquake that occurred on the same day at 10:25 UTC, no integer resonance ratios were detected, however, it was found that the terrestrial e UTC line at the time of the earthquake passed through the position of Mercury. Recall that the 12-hour line of the eUTC chart is always oriented towards the Sun. The conclusions of the work once again confirm the correctness of the theories of Archimedes and Kepler and convince us of the existence of a gravitational phenomenon that does not depend on the distances and masses of planets, has a pronounced inertial and wave character and does not fit into the general theory of relativity, developed in the last century by Albert Einstein.展开更多

Language transfer is one of the most significant aspects of cross-linguistic influ-ence.It can be divided into two types:positive and negative,the beneficial and det-rimental use of one language's acquired charact...Language transfer is one of the most significant aspects of cross-linguistic influ-ence.It can be divided into two types:positive and negative,the beneficial and det-rimental use of one language's acquired characteristics in another.This study aims to investigate the L1(Chinese)influence on Hong Kong ESL learners'acquisition of conjunctions and whether the use of L1 has an impact on this influence.An online questionnaire combining questions about students'English learning experience and a grammatical judgement task was sent to a government-funded secondary school in Hong Kong and completed by 79 students.Evidence of both positive and negative transfer from Chinese to English was found by testing six conjunctions or conjunc-tion pairs:although...but,because...so,not only...but also,either...or,neither...nor,.and despite.The results suggest that Chinese is likely to have an impact on students'acquisition of conjunctions,and the use of Chinese in English classes can worsen negative transfer and boost positive transfer.The degree of transfer might increase when more Chinese is used in class.To alleviate the impact of Chinese transfer and to provide more effective L2 teaching,monitoring the use of L1 and regular evalua-tion might be useful.Teachers can also adjust the amount of Chinese used according to the students'English proficiency level.展开更多

AIM:To assess the efficacy of ketotifen in treating allergic conjunctivitis.METHODS:A systematic search of systematic reviews and Meta-analyses was conducted on the Pub Med and Web Science of Science until October 202...AIM:To assess the efficacy of ketotifen in treating allergic conjunctivitis.METHODS:A systematic search of systematic reviews and Meta-analyses was conducted on the Pub Med and Web Science of Science until October 2021 to address this knowledge gap.Mean difference with 95%CI and P values were used to assess the efficacy of ketotifen.The heterogeneity(I^(2))was used to evaluate the impact of heterogeneity.RESULTS:Eight randomized controlled trials(RCTs)involving 1589 patients were included in this Meta-analysis.The results revealed that after treating with ketotifen,itching(MD=-0.91,95%CI:-1.63 to-0.20,I^(2)=94%,P=0.01),tearing(MD=-0.40,95%CI:-0.61 to-0.18,I^(2)=75%,P=0.0003)and total signs and symptoms(MD=-0.85,95%CI:-1.12 to-0.58,I2=0,P<0.00001)showed better benefit effect compared to the placebo group.CONCLUSION:Topical ketotifen is an effective treatment for patients with allergic conjunctivitis.展开更多

Thus, the need to evaluate the groundwater potential in the catchment is crucial as alternative supplier of water and resilience to climate hazards. The AHP was performed integrating ten influencing factors such as geomorphology, geology, soil, land use/land cover (lulc), slope, rainfall, drainage density, borehole rate & depth and piezometric level to generate groundwater potential zones (GWPZs) in Samendeni watershed (4420 km<sup>2</sup>). All the factors were processed and ranged into five (5) classes. Weight was assigned to each class of thematic layer. These thematic layers were then reclassified based on the normalized weight to be used in the calculation of groundwater potential zones (GWPZ). The final output, groundwater potential map, revealed a significant groundwater potential with very good (11%), good (31%), moderate (30%), poor (20%), and very poor (8%) of proportion. The interesting (very good, good) GWPZs in the study area are mostly in the central towards the east. The poor zones in term of groundwater potential are concentrated in the upper west region of the watershed. Besides the cross-validation with the relationship between different groundwater potential zones and the wells available in the study area, the overall accuracy was estimated to 88% provided from the result of the similarity analysis where 22 out of the 25 validation wells match with the expected yield classes of GWPZs. The statistics from that validation revealed the performance of AHP method to delineate groundwater potential zones at catchment level.展开更多

文摘The joint European Space Agency and Chinese Academy of Sciences Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(SMILE)mission will explore global dynamics of the magnetosphere under varying solar wind and interplanetary magnetic field conditions,and simultaneously monitor the auroral response of the Northern Hemisphere ionosphere.Combining these large-scale responses with medium and fine-scale measurements at a variety of cadences by additional ground-based and space-based instruments will enable a much greater scientific impact beyond the original goals of the SMILE mission.Here,we describe current community efforts to prepare for SMILE,and the benefits and context various experiments that have explicitly expressed support for SMILE can offer.A dedicated group of international scientists representing many different experiment types and geographical locations,the Ground-based and Additional Science Working Group,is facilitating these efforts.Preparations include constructing an online SMILE Data Fusion Facility,the discussion of particular or special modes for experiments such as coherent and incoherent scatter radar,and the consideration of particular observing strategies and spacecraft conjunctions.We anticipate growing interest and community engagement with the SMILE mission,and we welcome novel ideas and insights from the solar-terrestrial community.

文摘The second phase in multi-phase alloys has connection with many important phenomena such as aging strengthening,dispersion strengthening,secondary hardening,crystal refinement.In this paper,the interface conjunction factors of the interface between MC(M=V,Nb,Ti) and austenite and martensite are calculate out.The relationship between these factors and the characteristics are analyzed.The reason for the second phases being fine and dispersing and their strengthening and toughening effect on the alloy is explained using the relationship.Based on the relationship,the valence electron structure of the interface between the second phase particles and the matrix can be optimized by changing the alloying elements,which make it possible to design the composition of alloys from the valence electron structure of the second phase particles.
文摘In late 2018,the asteroid Ryugu was in the Sun's shadow during the superior solar conjunction phase.As the Sun-Earth-Ryugu angle decreased to below 3°,the Hayabusa2 spacecraft experienced 21 days of planned blackout in the Earth-probe communication link.This was the first time a spacecraft had experienced solar conjunction while hovering around a minor body.For the safety of the spacecraft,a low energy transfer trajectory named Ayu was designed in the Hill reference frame to increase its altitude from 20 to 110 km.The trajectory was planned with the newly developed optNEAR tool and validated with real time data.This article shows the results of the conjunction operation,from planning to fight data.

文摘A lot of combinatorial objects have a natural bialgebra structure. In this paper, we prove that the vector space spanned by labeled simple graphs is a bialgebra with the conjunction product and the unshuffle coproduct. In fact, it is a Hopf algebra since it is graded connected. The main conclusions are that the vector space spanned by labeled simple graphs arising from the unshuffle coproduct is a Hopf algebra and that there is a Hopf homomorphism from permutations to label simple graphs.
文摘AIM:To assess the efficacy of ketotifen in treating allergic conjunctivitis.METHODS:A systematic search of systematic reviews and Meta-analyses was conducted on the Pub Med and Web Science of Science until October 2021 to address this knowledge gap.Mean difference with 95%CI and P values were used to assess the efficacy of ketotifen.The heterogeneity(I^(2))was used to evaluate the impact of heterogeneity.RESULTS:Eight randomized controlled trials(RCTs)involving 1589 patients were included in this Meta-analysis.The results revealed that after treating with ketotifen,itching(MD=-0.91,95%CI:-1.63 to-0.20,I^(2)=94%,P=0.01),tearing(MD=-0.40,95%CI:-0.61 to-0.18,I^(2)=75%,P=0.0003)and total signs and symptoms(MD=-0.85,95%CI:-1.12 to-0.58,I2=0,P<0.00001)showed better benefit effect compared to the placebo group.CONCLUSION:Topical ketotifen is an effective treatment for patients with allergic conjunctivitis.

文摘The landscape of ophthalmology has obser ved monumental shifts with the advent of artificial intelligence(AI)technologies.This article is devoted to elaborating on the nuanced application of AI in the diagnostic realm of anterior segment eye diseases,an area ripe with potential yet complex in its imaging characteristics.Historically,AI’s entrenchment in ophthalmology was predominantly rooted in the posterior segment.However,the evolution of machine learning paradigms,particularly with the advent of deep learning methodologies,has reframed the focus.When combined with the exponential surge in available electronic image data pertaining to the anterior segment,AI’s role in diagnosing corneal,conjunctival,lens,and eyelid pathologies has been solidified and has emerged from the realm of theoretical to practical.In light of this transformative potential,collaborations between the Ophthalmic Imaging and Intelligent Medicine Subcommittee of the China Medical Education Association and the Ophthalmology Committee of the International Translational Medicine Association have been instrumental.These eminent bodies mobilized a consortium of experts to dissect and assimilate advancements from both national and international quarters.Their mandate was not limited to AI’s application in anterior segment pathologies like the cornea,conjunctiva,lens,and eyelids,but also ventured into deciphering the existing impediments and envisioning future trajectories.After iterative deliberations,the consensus synthesized herein serves as a touchstone,assisting ophthalmologists in optimally integrating AI into their diagnostic decisions and bolstering clinical research.Through this guideline,we aspire to offer a comprehensive framework,ensuring that clinical decisions are not merely informed but transformed by AI.By building upon existing literature yet maintaining the highest standards of originality,this document stands as a testament to both innovation and academic integrity,in line with the ethos of renowned journals such as Ophthalmology.

文摘Dear Editor,Drug rash with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms(DRESS)syndrome is a drug reaction featuring high fever,eosinophilia,skin rashes,and multi-organ involvement that may be fatal.Ocular manifestations,including cicatrizing conjunctivitis,corneal infiltration,and anterior uveitis,are rarely reported[1-6]but may cause serious complications if untreated.Therefore,it is important to diagnose DRESS syndrome in patients with ocular features promptly with appropriate treatment.This article reports a case diagnosed with DRESS syndrome associated with pseudomembranous conjunctivitis secondary to carfilzomib.
文摘Demand for water increases in Samendeni regarding the undertaken agricultural projects while pressure on surface water from global warming/evapotranspiration also increases. Thus, the need to evaluate the groundwater potential in the catchment is crucial as alternative supplier of water and resilience to climate hazards. The AHP was performed integrating ten influencing factors such as geomorphology, geology, soil, land use/land cover (lulc), slope, rainfall, drainage density, borehole rate & depth and piezometric level to generate groundwater potential zones (GWPZs) in Samendeni watershed (4420 km<sup>2</sup>). All the factors were processed and ranged into five (5) classes. Weight was assigned to each class of thematic layer. These thematic layers were then reclassified based on the normalized weight to be used in the calculation of groundwater potential zones (GWPZ). The final output, groundwater potential map, revealed a significant groundwater potential with very good (11%), good (31%), moderate (30%), poor (20%), and very poor (8%) of proportion. The interesting (very good, good) GWPZs in the study area are mostly in the central towards the east. The poor zones in term of groundwater potential are concentrated in the upper west region of the watershed. Besides the cross-validation with the relationship between different groundwater potential zones and the wells available in the study area, the overall accuracy was estimated to 88% provided from the result of the similarity analysis where 22 out of the 25 validation wells match with the expected yield classes of GWPZs. The statistics from that validation revealed the performance of AHP method to delineate groundwater potential zones at catchment level.
