Taking the pilgrimage,tourism and cultural island of Meizhou Island as an example,the evaluation index system of the coupling and coordinated development of“Mazu culture,socio-economy,eco-environment”(MSE)compound s...Taking the pilgrimage,tourism and cultural island of Meizhou Island as an example,the evaluation index system of the coupling and coordinated development of“Mazu culture,socio-economy,eco-environment”(MSE)compound system was constructed.The index weights were determined by AHP-entropy method,and the coupling degree,coordinated degree,comprehensive evaluation index and grey correlation degree of MSE system of Mazu Island from 2012 to 2022 were measure.The results showed that:(1)the comprehensive evaluation indexes of the three subsystems was on the rise in general,but the evaluation index of the ecological subsystems increased relatively slowly.(2)The coupling degree was only in the running-in stage in 2012,and the other years were in the coordinated coupling stage.(3)The coupling coordination degree increased from 0.35 in 2012 to 0.82 in 2022,the coupling coordination level was changed from mild imbalance to good coordination.(4)Through the comparison of grey correlation degree,the 24 indexes in the evaluation index system had great influence on the coupling coordination degree of MSE system.The coupling coordination degree was closely related to the development of socio-economy and the spread of Mazu culture.With the rapid development of tourism brought about by the spread of Mazu culture,the pressure on the ecological environment will be increasing.Compared with the rapid growth of tourism and economy,it is equally important to strengthen environmental protection and pay attention to the quality of ecological environment development.展开更多

Background: Over the past 20 years, cultured meat has drawn a lot of public attention as a potential solution to issues with animal husbandry, including inadequate use of natural sources, improper animal welfare pract...Background: Over the past 20 years, cultured meat has drawn a lot of public attention as a potential solution to issues with animal husbandry, including inadequate use of natural sources, improper animal welfare practices, and possible risks to public health and safety. The novel method of producing meat through culture reduces the need for animals to produce muscle fiber, thereby obviating the necessity for animal slaughter. Apart from its ethical advantages, cultured meat presents a possible way to fulfill the expanding need for food among growing populations. The purpose of this research was to find out whether Turkish students would be willing to pay for and accept cultured meat. Technique: Method: 371 university students who willingly consented to fill out a questionnaire and provide demographic data make up the research sample. Questions from previous studies on the acceptability of cultured meat were compiled to create the survey. The research’s data collection took place in March and April of 2022. The research was completed in June 2022 after the data had been processed and analyzed. Results: The results showed that the majority of participants were female and had omnivorous eating habits. Based on the results of the Bonferroni correction test, students with a higher intention to purchase and consume cultured meat were those who received economics and business education. Students with two years of university education had a higher overall survey score than those with four years of education (p < 0.05). Furthermore, it is discovered that there is a negative correlation between the participants’ ages and their Factor 2 (using cultured meat as an alternative to industrial meat) and Factor 3 (consuming and purchasing it) section points (r = -109, p = 0.036) (r = -0.121, p = 0.019). In conclusion, university students generally have a negative outlook on health-related issues, such as eating cultured meat as an alternative.展开更多

Crab cell line,especially continuous crab cell line,can provide us a useful tool for studies on the virology,immunology,and molecular biology of crabs.However,no continuous crab cell line has been available due to the...Crab cell line,especially continuous crab cell line,can provide us a useful tool for studies on the virology,immunology,and molecular biology of crabs.However,no continuous crab cell line has been available due to the lacking of suitable medium and the occurrence of mitosis-arrest.In this study,long-term in vitro culture conditions for both two-(2D)and three-dimensions(3D)were successfully developed for the circulating hemocytes of swimming crab Portunus trituberculatus,designated as PTH cells.In 2D culture,a novel crab basic medium in osmolarity of 990–1100 mOsm/kg was optimized for the first time,which is different from Leibovitz's L-15 medium in mainly the components of amino acids,containing double strengths of the contents of free amino acid mixture in the crab serum.Then an optimal crab growth medium was developed by supplementing 5%fetal bovine serum,50-g/L yeast extract powder,20-μg/L basic fibroblast growth factor and epidermal growth factor into the optimal crab basic medium,and found that it could support a long-term survival of PTH cells in a healthy monolayer up to 347 days and partially break through the mitosis-arrest of crab cells evidenced by the obvious increase of proliferating potential detected in the 10-d primarily cultured PTH cells.These 2D cultured PTH cells could be successfully sub-cultured for 11 times by physical flushing method and well cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen.In 3D culture,using the same crab growth medium,the PTH cell aggregates could be easily formed and healthily maintained on the surface of solidified Matrigel or in the ultra-low-attachment plate with a survival rate of 50%–60%on Day 103.This work largely improved the primary culture and subculture of crab cells and will facilitate the establishment of continuous crab cell line.展开更多

Culture elements, when embodied in a properly developed and organized curriculum can be systematically implemented all along the different phases of language growth. Mastery of a language is not simply mastery of vocabulary as well as grammar and spelling rules. The most successful language learners learn both culture and language together. The conceptualizations provided by research, although at times conflicting, form a useful foundation for language teaching that provides a deeper and a more enriching human experience. Making culture the core in a language class is akin to asserting the obvious (Furstenberg, 2010);they are two flip sides of the same coin. With its focus on revisiting the role of culture in the FL Classroom, the paper seems to fall into the same category - affirming the tried and true, but like Furstenberg, the author believes there is good reason to re-consider the possibility of closing the language and culture gap.展开更多

Recent advances in bionics have made it possible to create various tissue and organs.Using this cell culture technology,engineers have developed a robot driven by three-dimensional cultured muscle cells(bioactuator)—...Recent advances in bionics have made it possible to create various tissue and organs.Using this cell culture technology,engineers have developed a robot driven by three-dimensional cultured muscle cells(bioactuator)—a muscle cell robot.For more applications,researchers have been developed various tissues and organs with bio3D printer.However,three-dimensional cultured muscle cells printed by bio3D printer have been not used for muscle cell robot yet.The aim of our study is to develop easy fabrication method of bioactuator having high design flexibility like as bio3D printer.We fabricated three-dimensional cultured muscle cells using mold and dish having pin which can contribute to shape and cell alignment.In this study,we observed that our method maintained the shape of three-dimensional cultured muscle cells and caused cell alignment which is important for bioactuator development.We named three-dimensional cultured muscle cells developed in this study“bio-cultured artificial muscle(BiCAM)”.Finally,we observed that BiCAM contracted in response to electrical stimulus.From these data,we concluded our proposed method is easy fabrication method of bioactuator having high design flexibility.展开更多

One of its municipalities, Minalin, is considered as one of its major centers of production. This study aims to determine the impacts of climate change hazards on the economic performance of tilapia-intensive pond culture in Minalin, Pampanga considering the threats to the industry, livelihoods, and food security. Results revealed that the economic performance of tilapia pond operations using semi-intensive large-scale culture was affected by climate change, as reflected in the reduction of yield among tilapia pond operators. This makes intensive tilapia pond farming in Minalin still a viable venture but will now require more than a year to pay for investment (variable and fixed) costs if under climate change risks. The study recommends strengthening capacity building related to climate-smart tilapia farming technologies for pond operators and to implement appropriate technologies to address climate change risks.展开更多

文摘The inseparable relationship between language and culture indicates that culture teaching is indispensable in English teaching.The ultimate goal of culture teaching in English teaching is to cultivate learners’cross-cultural communication skills.Cross-cultural communication is a two-way process,which requires not only knowledge of English culture but also the use of English as a medium for disseminating Chinese culture to the outside world.However,in actual English teaching,the teaching of Chinese culture is a mere formality,and the teaching effect is not obvious.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct a survey and research on Chinese culture teaching in high school English classrooms to understand its current situation,existing problems,and their causes,so as to provide suggestions for Chinese culture teaching in high school.
文摘This study aims to further promote the inheritance and innovative development of intangible cultural heritage in Yunnan Province,promote the protection,inheritance,integration,and innovation of ethnic culture in Lijiang,strengthen the protection and inheritance of Baisha murals in Lijiang,and change the teaching of art design majors in vocational colleges in Yunnan.Given the lack of traditional Chinese culture and local ethnic culture,this article focuses on the teaching of art design majors in Yunnan vocational colleges.It explores the construction model of the cultural inheritance and innovation carrier of Lijiang Baisha murals to meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the local people,and efforts will be made to promote the high-quality development of the Baisha ethnic area in Lijiang.
文摘Language and culture are closely related,and understanding the cultural knowledge embedded in the process of language learning is an important goal of English teaching in colleges and universities.At present,the dissemination of Chinese culture in English teaching in colleges and universities is lacking,which affects the improvement of students’intercultural communication skills.In order to effectively solve such problems,we need to take effective measures to disseminate Chinese culture by combining teaching content and students’characteristics.This paper summarizes the problems of Chinese culture dissemination in English teaching in colleges and universities,and explores effective countermeasures and teaching considerations,hoping to provide teachers with valuable guidelines.
文摘Culture teaching is an inseparable part of International Chinese Language Education,and it has great significance in international Chinese language teaching.Students can enhance their interest in Chinese language learning and improve their learning effect through understanding the excellent traditional Chinese culture,at the same time,culture teaching can help to disseminate the Chinese culture and promote the development of a multicultural world.Taking the teaching of Chinese New Year culture as an example,we analyze the current teaching materials involving Chinese New Year culture with high popularity and acceptance,put forward effective teaching methods matching the feasibility of teaching Chinese New Year culture,and then present the specific teaching design of Chinese New Year culture,in order to provide references for the teaching of culture in International Chinese Language Education.

文摘Crab cell line,especially continuous crab cell line,can provide us a useful tool for studies on the virology,immunology,and molecular biology of crabs.However,no continuous crab cell line has been available due to the lacking of suitable medium and the occurrence of mitosis-arrest.In this study,long-term in vitro culture conditions for both two-(2D)and three-dimensions(3D)were successfully developed for the circulating hemocytes of swimming crab Portunus trituberculatus,designated as PTH cells.In 2D culture,a novel crab basic medium in osmolarity of 990–1100 mOsm/kg was optimized for the first time,which is different from Leibovitz's L-15 medium in mainly the components of amino acids,containing double strengths of the contents of free amino acid mixture in the crab serum.Then an optimal crab growth medium was developed by supplementing 5%fetal bovine serum,50-g/L yeast extract powder,20-μg/L basic fibroblast growth factor and epidermal growth factor into the optimal crab basic medium,and found that it could support a long-term survival of PTH cells in a healthy monolayer up to 347 days and partially break through the mitosis-arrest of crab cells evidenced by the obvious increase of proliferating potential detected in the 10-d primarily cultured PTH cells.These 2D cultured PTH cells could be successfully sub-cultured for 11 times by physical flushing method and well cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen.In 3D culture,using the same crab growth medium,the PTH cell aggregates could be easily formed and healthily maintained on the surface of solidified Matrigel or in the ultra-low-attachment plate with a survival rate of 50%–60%on Day 103.This work largely improved the primary culture and subculture of crab cells and will facilitate the establishment of continuous crab cell line.
文摘This paper advances an approach to culture and language instruction through the theoretical construct of the 3Ps (Products, Practices, Perspectives), combined with an inquiry-based approach utilizing the theory on stages of second language acquisition. Culture elements, when embodied in a properly developed and organized curriculum can be systematically implemented all along the different phases of language growth. Mastery of a language is not simply mastery of vocabulary as well as grammar and spelling rules. The most successful language learners learn both culture and language together. The conceptualizations provided by research, although at times conflicting, form a useful foundation for language teaching that provides a deeper and a more enriching human experience. Making culture the core in a language class is akin to asserting the obvious (Furstenberg, 2010);they are two flip sides of the same coin. With its focus on revisiting the role of culture in the FL Classroom, the paper seems to fall into the same category - affirming the tried and true, but like Furstenberg, the author believes there is good reason to re-consider the possibility of closing the language and culture gap.

文摘Recent advances in bionics have made it possible to create various tissue and organs.Using this cell culture technology,engineers have developed a robot driven by three-dimensional cultured muscle cells(bioactuator)—a muscle cell robot.For more applications,researchers have been developed various tissues and organs with bio3D printer.However,three-dimensional cultured muscle cells printed by bio3D printer have been not used for muscle cell robot yet.The aim of our study is to develop easy fabrication method of bioactuator having high design flexibility like as bio3D printer.We fabricated three-dimensional cultured muscle cells using mold and dish having pin which can contribute to shape and cell alignment.In this study,we observed that our method maintained the shape of three-dimensional cultured muscle cells and caused cell alignment which is important for bioactuator development.We named three-dimensional cultured muscle cells developed in this study“bio-cultured artificial muscle(BiCAM)”.Finally,we observed that BiCAM contracted in response to electrical stimulus.From these data,we concluded our proposed method is easy fabrication method of bioactuator having high design flexibility.

文摘Against the background of outstanding traditional Chinese culture and the innovation-drivendevelopment strategy, this study analyzed regional cultures of Yichang where ancient Ba and Chu culturesmet and blended, proposed regional architectural designs adapted to modern conditions, fully clarified thedesign concepts of “deeply exploring, highly condensing, making the past serve the present, inheriting andinnovating” through analyzing the design cases in many regional architectural projects. The paper aimedat further inheriting and developing the outstanding traditional Chinese cultures, and provided theoreticalreferences for future designs.
文摘Pampanga is the top tilapia-producing province in Philippines. One of its municipalities, Minalin, is considered as one of its major centers of production. This study aims to determine the impacts of climate change hazards on the economic performance of tilapia-intensive pond culture in Minalin, Pampanga considering the threats to the industry, livelihoods, and food security. Results revealed that the economic performance of tilapia pond operations using semi-intensive large-scale culture was affected by climate change, as reflected in the reduction of yield among tilapia pond operators. This makes intensive tilapia pond farming in Minalin still a viable venture but will now require more than a year to pay for investment (variable and fixed) costs if under climate change risks. The study recommends strengthening capacity building related to climate-smart tilapia farming technologies for pond operators and to implement appropriate technologies to address climate change risks.
