Extending the retirement age is an inevitable trend with the extension of the life expectancy of the population, reducing the financial burden of pensions, increasing the utilization rate of human capital, alleviating... Extending the retirement age is an inevitable trend with the extension of the life expectancy of the population, reducing the financial burden of pensions, increasing the utilization rate of human capital, alleviating the shortage of the labor market and other social problems. More and more countries are beginning to impose extended retirement policies, like United States, South Korea, Canada and Nordic countries and so on, all have taken some measures to delay retirement. However, the general social recognition is not high. Both the aged group, the education level and the individual's lifestyle have a significant impact on the delayed retirement age policy. Severe aging situation puts the future pension system at risk, based on the interests of the country, delayed retirement will help utilize the human capital and relieve the country' s financial pressure; from individual perspective, extending retirement age can help reduce the provision for the aged people. This article based on previous literatures review, through conducted the survey of people in Halmstad to analyze the local citizen's perception on delayed retirement and the influencing factors behind. Concluded that willingness of delayed retirement among people is not very high, reasons vary from different kinds of people. 展开更多

The analysis results showed that the positions entered into the regression model (OR = 2.339);the expected retirement age (OR = 3.280);and delayed retirement can better solve the pension problem (OR = 0.553). Retirement can relieve child financial pressure (OR = 0.217), emotional exhaustion (OR = 0.913) and social opportunities (OR = 1.132). The OR of job title, expected retirement age, and social opportunities is greater than 1, and the others are less than 1. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> The most expected retirement age for nurses is 50 to 55 years old, and they are more inclined to retire early. Factors affecting the willingness to postpone retirement include position and expected retirement age. Postponement of retirement can better solve pension problems. Postponement of retirement can alleviate child financial pressure, social opportunities and emotional exhaustion. </p> 展开更多

In recent years, China's aging population continues to accelerate the process, so that our aging population and the pension system is generated between the sustainable development of the serious contradictions, resulting in a waste of human resources, increasing the operating pressure pensions, working hours inequity the negative impact on the existing retirement system challenges. Recently, the delay of the retirement age controversy sparked widespread concern in the community, the paper is as a starting point, a comprehensive analysis of the social contradictions of the current status of China's current retirement system, drawing on the successful adjustment of retirement abroad experience from multiple perspectives demonstrates the urgency of delayed retirement age and feasibility. This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter proposes the research background and significance of the age of retirement, as well as domestic and foreign scholars on the issue of research in the retirement age. The second chapter describes the status of China's retirement system, the contradiction between the implementation of the background, family problems and the current retirement age and the aging population about three aspects. The third chapter analyzes the feasibility to extend the retirement age. Chapter IV presents a delayed retirement policies and recommendations, with emphasis on "flexible retirement system." 展开更多

Will the State-owned Capital Transfer Policy Enhance the Sustainability of the Urban Employee Basic Pension Insurance Fund in China?

To analyze the efect of the state-owned capital transfer policy on the sustainability of China's urban employee basic pension insurance fund(CUEBPIF),this study develops an actuarial model for pension insurance.The results reveal the following:(i)Without policy intervention,the CUEBPIF would face a deficit in 2027 and a cumulative shortfall of RMB207.44 trillion by 2050,and the proportion of fiscal subsidies for the CUEBPIF in the total fiscal expenditure would increase to 12.86 percent in 2050.(i)Based on a delayed retirement policy,the transfer of 10 percent of state-owned capital can delay the onset of the fund deficit by 6 years,and the accumulated shortfall in 2050 would fall to RMB39.42 trillion,and the proportion of fiscal subsidies would decrease by I1.77 percentage points.(ii)The state-owned capital transfer policy can improve the sustainability of the CUEBPIF and reduce the burden of enterprise social security contributions when the transfer ratio increases to 20 percent. 展开更多

This paper aims to construct a mathematical model for choosing a proper policy about raising retirement age on the basis of the interaction between shortage of pension funds and labor market.It has also conducted a simulation analysis over the economic efficiency and political feasibility of a uniformed or a differentiated retirement-age delay policy.Our findings show that it is up to how effective the pension deficit is closed,how many employments will be crowded out,and whether it is politically acceptable that the length and kind of the delay is decided.From the policy effect of raising retirement age,a soft approach to delaying retirement will be better than a tough one,and a differentiated method will be better than a uniformed one.The root cause for the inconsistency of the policy effect is the discrepancies in terms of wage rate and job fulfillment,brought by different human capital situations and individual differences of the insured.The shortage of pension funds can be more effectively closed,and the impact on new labor force will be reduced,if we employ a differentiated approach to delay retirement according to the pattern of human capital accumulation and the supply and demand status of labor force.However,the policy effect of raising retirement age will not be maximized unless the human capital situation is improved.In order to resolve the pensions crisis and alleviate the pressure of unemployment,it is unavoidable that the insured,especially the low-skilled labor,can get more vocational training and academic education. 展开更多
