The modern medical education system has gradually evolved starting from 1910 incorporating the suggestions by Abraham Flexner,his public disclosure of the poor conditions at many medical schools provided a means to galvanize all the constituencies needed for reform to occur.He could say what other reformers could not,due to their links to the medical education community.But now we are again going back to a pre-Flexnerian state due to multiple reasons such as gradually diminishing importance of basic science subjects for the students,the decline in the number and quality of investigator initiated research among clinical researchers,lesser emphasis to bedside training by means of detailed clinical examination and making appropriate observation of signs to reach to a diagnosis rather than over reliance on the laboratory tests and radiological modalities for the diagnosis,poor exposure to basic clinical skills starting from college throughout residency and the trend of disrespect and absenteeism from both theoretical and clinical/practical classes.The attitude of students is just to complete their required attendance so that they are not barred from appearing in examinations.This de-Flexnerization trend and regression to pre-Flexnerian era standards,ideologies,structures,processes,and attitudes,are bound to beget pre-Flexnerian outcomes,for you get what you designed for. 展开更多

Vocational education can effectively improve the vocational skills of employees,improve people’s traditional concept of vocational education,and focus on the training of vocational skills for students by using new educational methods and concepts,so that they can master key vocational skills and develop key abilities.In this paper,three different learning models,Deep Knowledge Tracing(DKT),Dynamic Key-Value Memory Networks(DKVMN)and Double Deep Q-network(DDQN),are used to evaluate the indicators in the vocational education system.On the one hand,the influence of learning degree on the performance of the model is compared,on the other hand,the performance evaluation of three models under the same learning effect is compared,so as to obtain the best learning model applied to the field of skill training.In order to accurately evaluate the learning status of students,the loss function curves under three models are compared.Finally,the error rate of students in vocational skills education tends to be zero,and the learning process of intensive learning effectively improves students’mastery of skills and key abilities. 展开更多

As technology improves,several modernization efforts are taken in the process of teaching and learning.An effective education system should maintain global connectivity,federate security and deliver self-access to its services.The cloud computing services transform the current education system to an advanced one.There exist several tools and services to make teaching and learning more interesting.In the higher education system,the data flow and basic operations are almost the same.These systems need to access cloud-based applications and services for their operational advancement and flexibility.Architecting a suitable cloud-based education system will leverage all the benefits of the cloud to its stakeholders.At the same time,educational institutions want to keep their sensitive information more secure.For that,they need to maintain their on-premises data center along with the cloud infrastructure.This paper proposes an advanced,flexible and secure hybrid cloud architecture to satisfy the growing demands of an education system.By sharing the proposed cloud infrastructure among several higher educational institutions,there is a possibility to implement a common education system among organizations.Moreover,this research demonstrates how a cloud-based education architecture can utilize the advantages of the cloud resources offered by several providers in a hybrid cloud environment.In addition,a reference architecture using Amazon Web Service(AWS)is proposed to implement a common university education system. 展开更多

The aim of this research was to explore the critical indicators of evaluating higher education system.The data was obtained according to the available information from websites of relevant authoritative organizations like U.S.News and Universitas 21,etc.The national higher education system was evaluated by the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)model,then by further establishing the dual index evaluation model which includes the concepts of Health Index(H),Sustainability Index(S),finally,combined the two-index by Mckinsey matrix.This research ranked the sustainability and health of higher education systems from 10 countries in 2020 where it reflected that Unites States had the highest evaluation weight while India and Brazil still had room for improvement.Using India as the research subject,the health and sustainability degree of the improved higher education system were analyzed by Lanchester^equation.According to the results of the evaluation model,a policy implementation model was proposed to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of India?s higher education system. 展开更多

Using a qualitative research approach,the current analysis aimed to investigate the COVID-19 pandemic's effect on Bangladesh's higher education from the viewpoint of students.The report comprises a survey of 300 students from higher education institutions.The Convenience sampling method is used to pick fifty university students for the study to collect enough data to answer the test query.They were students from Bangladesh's eight universities(five public universities and three private universities)and three other universities.The pandemic of COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on all facets of human life,including education.It has culminated in learning experiences that have never been seen before.Many schools and universities have shut their doors and moved their teaching and learning to the internet.This study found that there has an effect of COVID-19 on the higher education system in Bangladesh.Both the government and private universities are required to work together to resolve the academic delays as fast as possible,such as the closing of educational schools and the transition to online schooling,which have a serious impact on the education sector and students'lives.This is the first study of Bangladesh.This study tries to find out the problem of education systems and solving the problem of Bangladesh which will be a great effect on the education system of Bangladesh and the economy. 展开更多

There are so many university ranking systems for academic performance as based on different criteria in the world.These systems,which have been considered since beginning of 2000’s years,have quickly followed with their own hierarchical measures by higher education organizations.This paper mentions the main principles of a new system for university performance in Turkey and summarizes the study,which was made for the performance of selected universities throughout country.The system depends on teaching income,teaching structure,teaching quality,number of publications and projects,the index for entrepreneurial and innovative university,and student satisfaction.The aim is to provide a comparative study with well-balanced and justice decision for the related universities.This study includes the 10 universities(Anadolu,Çukurova,Cumhuriyet,Dicle,Erciyes,Fırat,İnönü,Ondokuz Mayis,Selçuk,and Uludağ)which were founded between 1973 and 1978.In this study,data belonging to the period of 2010 and 2014 have been considered for the related universities.This study indicates that enlargement rate,localization,politicization,and degradation on management system influence the performance of universities. 展开更多

However, the current education system is ridden with many setbacks and problems. This paper conducts an analysis of the specific conditions of education both at home and abroad, status quo of education in China, makes some reflections on the direction and measures of China's education reform based on the practical reality of education in China. Measures should be taken to inject personalities into the traditional, exam-oriented education system, which keeps pace with the new era. As is known to all, it's important to strike a balance between public education and non-government funded education in a scientific and reasonable manner. With the advent of cloud computing technology, the development of mobile applications for use in several facets of life has been on the increase. This has been supported by the proliferation of mobile devices in the society which is also being used in utilizing the prowess of the cloud technology. Building a mobile education system that is platform independent is a major challenge since most of the popularly used ones are either software dependent or hardware dependent. In this work, a framework for mobile education system that is cross platform in nature with regard to operating system, hardware and web browsers using the 3-tier Client/Server mobile application architecture built on web standard was developed and fully tested. A first year computer science course offered by more than 1000 students was used as input to validate the framework. An integration of Short Message Services (SMS), virtual classroom and e-assessment components enable students and lecturers to communicate, create discussion forum and carry out e-testing using their mobile devices. This work is strongly recommended for higher institutions in Nigeria that need to explore the use of mobile devices that are available with the majority of students. Only registered users can access the developed app via the use of handheld devices (smart-phones & tablets). This can actually improve learning, research and collaboration between students and lecturers thereby enhancing learning experience. 展开更多

In early colonial times,European scientists and politicians explained and justified the aggressive and devastating expansion of Europe to nearly every corner of the world.Africans,for example,had been dehumanized,infantilized,and bereft of history.The legacy of this colonial enterprise can still be observed in various activities of the African especially in the domain of education.The German colonial effort only began in 1884 with the scramble for Africa but was short‐lived in their stay in Africa.As a result,they implemented their own form of education in their colonies in Africa and that was the case in Cameroon.In this sphere,the German colonial authority realized that they gained strength over colonized nations not only through physical control,but also through mental control.This mental control was carried out through their education system.The German educational goal in Cameroon,like elsewhere in Africa,was to expose Africans to a superior culture with the hope that education will usher the natives into the modern world and will make them more civilized.Captured from this background,this paper,in the first segment,analyze the political objectives of the German educational system in Cameroon with emphasis on their desire to extend overseas culture to the natives.Secondly,the characteristics of this educational system in the domains of school premises,teaching style,curriculum contents,and educational organization are examined.At the end,this paper investigates the difficulties faced and the drastic impact of such education especially in the domain of traditional administration in the study local. 展开更多
