The problem of data island hinders the application of big data in artificial intelligence model training,so researchers propose a federated learning framework.It enables model training without having to centralize all data in a central storage point.In the current horizontal federated learning scheme,each participant gets the final jointly trained model.No solution is proposed for scenarios where participants only provide training data in exchange for benefits,but do not care about the final jointly trained model.Therefore,this paper proposes a newboosted tree algorithm,calledRPBT(the originator Rights Protected federated Boosted Tree algorithm).Compared with the current horizontal federal learning algorithm,each participant will obtain the final jointly trained model.RPBT can guarantee that the local data of the participants will not be leaked,while the final jointly trained model cannot be obtained.It is worth mentioning that,from the perspective of the participants,the scheme uses the batch idea to make the participants participate in the training in random batches.Therefore,this scheme is more suitable for scenarios where a large number of participants are jointly modeling.Furthermore,a small number of participants will not actually participate in the joint training process.Therefore,the proposed scheme is more secure.Theoretical analysis and experimental evaluations show that RPBT is secure,accurate and efficient. 展开更多

Recent developments in heterogeneous identity federation systems have heightened the need for the related trust management system.The trust management system evaluates,manages,and shares users’trust values.The service provider(SP)members of the federation system rely on users’trust values to determine which type and quality of service will be provided to the users.While identity federation systems have the potential to help federated users save time and energy and improve service experience,the benefits also come with significant privacy risks.So far,there has been little discussion about the privacy protection of users in heterogeneous identity federation systems.In this paper,we propose a trust value sharing scheme based on a proxy ring signature for the trust management system in heterogeneous identity federation topologies.The ring signature schemes can ensure the validity of the data and hide the original signer,thereby protecting privacy.Moreover,no group manager participating in the ring signature,which naturally matches with our decentralized heterogeneous identity federation topologies.The proxy signature can reduce the workload of the private key owner.The proposed scheme shortens the calculation time for verifying the signature and then reduces the overall time consumption in the process of trust sharing.Our studies prove that the proposed scheme is privacy-preserving,efficient,and effective. 展开更多

Also permitted and restricted combinations,and merging rules are provided,and the influence on HLA interface specification is given.The comparison between modular FOM and base object model(BOM)is performed to illustrate the importance of their combination.The applications of modular FOM are summarized.Finally,the significance to facilitate compoable simulation both in academia and practice is presented and future directions are pointed out. 展开更多

An adequate compute and storage infrastructure supporting the full exploitation of Copernicus and Earth Observation datasets is currently not available in Europe.This paper presents the cross-disciplinary open-source technologies being leveraged in the C-SCALE project to develop an open federation of compute and data providers as an alternative to monolithic infrastructures for processing and analysing Copernicus and Earth Observation data.Three critical aspects of the federation and the chosen technologies are elaborated upon:(1)federated data discovery,(2)federated access and(3)software distribution.With these technologies the open federation aims to provide homogenous access to resources,thereby enabling its users to generate meaningful results quickly and easily.This will be achieved by abstracting the complexity of infrastructure resource access provisioning and orchestration,including discovery of data across distributed archives,away from the end-users.Which is needed because end-users wish to focus on analysing ready-to-use data products and models rather than spending their time on the setup and maintenance of complex and heterogeneous IT infrastructures.The open federation will support processing and analysing the vast amounts of Copernicus and Earth Observation data that are critical for the implementation of the Destination Earth resp.Digital Twins vision for a high precision digital model of the Earth to model,monitor and simulate natural phenomena and related human activities. 展开更多

Diagnosing multi-stage diseases typically requires doctors to consider multiple data sources,including clinical symptoms,physical signs,biochemical test results,imaging findings,pathological examination data,and even genetic data.When applying machine learning modeling to predict and diagnose multi-stage diseases,several challenges need to be addressed.Firstly,the model needs to handle multimodal data,as the data used by doctors for diagnosis includes image data,natural language data,and structured data.Secondly,privacy of patients’data needs to be protected,as these data contain the most sensitive and private information.Lastly,considering the practicality of the model,the computational requirements should not be too high.To address these challenges,this paper proposes a privacy-preserving federated deep learning diagnostic method for multi-stage diseases.This method improves the forward and backward propagation processes of deep neural network modeling algorithms and introduces a homomorphic encryption step to design a federated modeling algorithm without the need for an arbiter.It also utilizes dedicated integrated circuits to implement the hardware Paillier algorithm,providing accelerated support for homomorphic encryption in modeling.Finally,this paper designs and conducts experiments to evaluate the proposed solution.The experimental results show that in privacy-preserving federated deep learning diagnostic modeling,the method in this paper achieves the same modeling performance as ordinary modeling without privacy protection,and has higher modeling speed compared to similar algorithms. 展开更多

为了解决联邦学习过程中数据异质性导致模型性能下降的问题,考虑对联邦模型个性化,提出了一种新的基于相似度加速的自适应聚类联邦学习(ACFL)算法,基于客户端本地更新的几何特性和客户端联邦时的正向反馈实现自适应加速聚类,将客户端划... 为了解决联邦学习过程中数据异质性导致模型性能下降的问题,考虑对联邦模型个性化,提出了一种新的基于相似度加速的自适应聚类联邦学习(ACFL)算法,基于客户端本地更新的几何特性和客户端联邦时的正向反馈实现自适应加速聚类,将客户端划分到不同任务簇,同簇中数据分布相似的客户端协同实现聚类联邦学习(CFL),从而提升模型性能。该算法不需要先验确定类簇数量和迭代划分客户端,在避免现有基于聚类的联邦算法计算成本过高、收敛速度慢等问题的同时保证了模型性能。在常用数据集上使用深度卷积神经网络验证了ACFL的有效性。结果表明,所提算法性能与聚类联邦学习算法相当,优于传统的迭代联邦聚类算法(IFCA),且具有更快的收敛速度。 展开更多
