Excitons have significant impacts on the properties of semiconductors.They exhibit significantly different properties when a direct semiconductor turns in to an indirect one by doping.Huybrecht variational method is also found to influence the study of exciton ground state energy and ground state binding energy in Al_(x)Ga_(1−x)As semiconductor spherical quantum dots.The Al_(x)Ga_(1−x)As is considered to be a direct semiconductor at AI concentration below 0.45,and an indirect one at the concentration above 0.45.With regards to the former,the ground state binding energy increases and decreases with AI concentration and eigenfrequency,respectively;however,while the ground state energy increases with AI concentration,it is marginally influenced by eigenfrequency.On the other hand,considering the latter,while the ground state binding energy increases with AI concentration,it decreases with eigenfrequency;nevertheless,the ground state energy increases both with AI concentration and eigenfrequency.Hence,for the better practical performance of the semiconductors,the properties of the excitons are suggested to vary by adjusting AI concentration and eigenfrequency. 展开更多

Aerodynamic Features of High-Speed Maglev Trains with Different Marshaling Lengths Running on a Viaduct under Crosswinds

The safety and stability of high-speed maglev trains traveling on viaducts in crosswinds critically depend on their aerodynamic characteristics.Therefore,this paper uses an improved delayed detached eddy simulation(IDDES)method to investigate the aerodynamic features of high-speed maglev trains with different marshaling lengths under crosswinds.The effects of marshaling lengths(varying from 3-car to 8-car groups)on the train’s aerodynamic performance,surface pressure,and the flow field surrounding the train were investigated using the three-dimensional unsteady compressible Navier-Stokes(N-S)equations.The results showed that the marshaling lengths had minimal influence on the aerodynamic performance of the head and middle cars.Conversely,the marshaling lengths are negatively correlated with the time-average side force coefficient(CS)and time-average lift force coefficient(Cl)of the tail car.Compared to the tail car of the 3-car groups,the CS and Cl fell by 27.77%and 18.29%,respectively,for the tail car of the 8-car groups.It is essential to pay more attention to the operational safety of the head car,as it exhibits the highest time average CS.Additionally,the mean pressure difference between the two sides of the tail car body increased with the marshaling lengths,and the side force direction on the tail car was opposite to that of the head and middle cars.Furthermore,the turbulent kinetic energy of the wake structure on the windward side quickly decreased as marshaling lengths increased. 展开更多

Quasi-one-dimensional(1D)antiferromagnets are known to display intriguing phenomena especially when there is a spin gap in their spin-excitation spectra.Here we demonstrate that a spin gap exists in the quasi-1D Heisenberg antiferromagnet CoTi2O5 with highly ordered Co2+/Ti4+occupation,in which the Co2+ions with S=3/2 form a 1D spin chain along the a-axis.CoTi2O5 undergoes an antiferromagnetic transition at TN~24 K and exhibits obvious anisotropic magnetic susceptibility even in the paramagnetic region.Although a gapless magnetic ground state is usually expected in a quasi-1D Heisenberg antiferromagnet with half-integer spins,by analyzing the specific heat,the thermal conductivity,and the spin-lattice relaxation rate(1/T1)as a function of temperature,we found that a spin gap is opened in the spin-excitation spectrum of CoTi2O5 around TN,manifested by the rapid decrease of magnetic specific heat to zero,the double-peak characteristic in thermal conductivity,and the exponential decay of 1/T1 below TN.Both the magnetic measurements and the first-principles calculations results indicate that there is spin-orbit coupling in CoTi2O5,which induces the magnetic anisotropy in CoTi2O5,and then opens the spin gap at low temperature. 展开更多

AIM:To investigate the impact of multifocal gas permeable contact lens(MFGPCL)in various add power and distance/near area allocation on short-term changes of choroidal thickness(ChT),axial length(AL),and retinal defocus profile in young adults.METHODS:Seventeen young adults(2 males and 15 females;age 23.17±4.48y)were randomly assigned to wear two designs binocularly with a one-week washout period in between.Total of four MFGPCL designs were assessed.All designs were distance-center that varied in two add power(+1.50 and 3.00 D)and/or two distance zone(DZ)diameters(1.50 and 3.00 mm;design A:DZ 1.5/add 3.0,B:DZ 1.5/add 1.5,C:DZ 3.0/add 3.0,D:DZ 3.0/add 1.5).ChT,AL,and peripheral refraction data were collected on each subject at baseline,on days 1 and 7 of MFGPCL daily wear.ChT was assessed in four quadrants using a spectraldomain optical coherence tomography.RESULTS:AL was shortened by-26±44μm with lens C,-18±27μm with lens D,-13±29μm with lens A,and-8±30μm with lens B(all P<0.05).A significant overall increase in ChT was observed with all 4 designs(lens A:+6±6μm,B:+3±7μm,C:+8±7μm,and D:+8±7μm).Temporal and superior choroid exhibited more choroidal thickening associated with MFGPCL.All designs induced significant relative peripheral myopia(RPM)beyond the central 20o across the horizontal meridian in both nasal and temporal fields(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:MFGPCLs show a significant influence on ChT and AL,which are associated with significant increase in RPM after short-term wear.The reliability and feasibility of quantifying short-term changes in ChT support its use as a promising marker for the long-term efficacy of myopia-controlling treatments. 展开更多

In this context, we have introduced a model that utilizes a combination of Schwarzschild’s radius and Compton length to quantify the gravitational length of an object. This model has provided a novel perspective in generalizing the uncertainty principle. A CombustionModel for Explosive Charge Affected by a Bottom Gap in the Launch Environment

Launch safety of explosive charges has become an urgent problem to be solved by all countries in the world aslaunch situation of ammunition becomes consistentlyworse.However, the existing numericalmodels have differentdefects. This paper formulates an efficient computational model of the combustion of an explosive charge affectedby a bottom gap in the launch environment in the context of the material point method. The current temperatureis computed accurately from the heat balance equation, and different physical states of the explosive charges areconsidered through various equations of state. Microcracks in the explosive charges are described with respectto the viscoelastic statistical crackmechanics (Visco–SCRAM) model. Themethod for calculating the temperatureat the bottomof the explosive charge with respect to the bottomgap is described. Based on this combustionmodel,the temperature history of a Composition B (COMB) explosive charge in the presence of a bottom gap is obtainedduring the launch process of a 155-mm artillery. The simulation results show that the bottom gap thickness shouldbe no greater than 0.039 cm to ensure the safety of the COM B explosive charge in the launch environment. Thisconclusion is consistent with previous results and verifies the correctness of the proposed model. Ultimately, thispaper derives amathematical expression for themaximumtemperature of the COMB explosive chargewith respectto the bottomgap thickness (over the range of 0.00–0.039 cm), and establishes a quantitative evaluationmethod forthe launch safety of explosive charges.The research results provide some guidance for the assessment and detectionof explosive charge safety in complex launch environments. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Simple bone cysts(SBC)are benign tumor-like bone lesions typically identified in children.While SBC may lead to growth disturbances or growth arrest,such cases are uncommon.The mechanisms behind these observations remain unclear.Additionally,research on the etiology of SBC remains inconclusive,and there has been no consensus on the appropriate timing and methodology for treatment.CASE SUMMARY Here,we present our experience in the successful surgical management of a 10-year-old girl with SBC,who presented with a pathological fracture complicated by malunion of the displaced fracture,varus deformity,and limb length discrepancy.We hypothesized two possible etiologies for the patient’s growth arrest and subsequent humerus varus deformity:(1)Direct disruption of the physis by fluid from the cyst itself;and(2)damage to the epiphysis due to repetitive pathological fractures associated with SBC.In addressing this case,surgical intervention was undertaken to correct the proximal humerus varus deformity.This approach offered the advantages of simultaneously correcting angular abnormalities,achieving mild limb lengthening,providing definitive SBC treatment,and reducing the overall treatment duration.CONCLUSION As per current literature,acute correction of acute angular deformity in proximal humeral SBC is not well comprehended.However,in this specific case,acute correction was considered an optimal solution. 展开更多

The pitch is a fundamental attribute employed in numerous speech-related works. For fundamental frequency extraction, several algorithms have been developed which one to use relies on the signal’s characteristics and the surrounding noise. Thus, the algorithm’s noise resistance becomes more critical than ever for precise fundamental frequency estimation. Nonetheless, numerous state-of-the-art algorithms face struggles in achieving satisfying outcomes when confronted with speech recordings that are noisy with low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) values. Also, most of the recent techniques utilize different frame lengths for pitch extraction. From this point of view, This research considers different frame lengths on male and female speech signals for fundamental frequency extraction. Also, analyze the frame length dependency on the speech signal analytically to understand which frame length is more suitable and effective for male and female speech signals specifically. For the validation of our idea, we have utilized the conventional autocorrelation function (ACF), and state-of-the-art method BaNa. This study puts out a potent idea that will work better for speech processing applications in noisy speech. Coseismic Coulomb stress changes induced by a 2020-2021 M_(W)>7.0 Alaska earthquake sequence in and around the Shumagin gap and its influence on the Alaska-Aleutian subduction interface

Three M_(W)>7.0 earthquakes in 2020-2021 occurred in the Shumagin seismic gap and its adjacent area of the Alaska-Aleutian subduction zone,including the Mw7.8 Simeonof thrust earthquake on July 22,2020,the M_(W)7.6 Sand Point strike-slip earthquake on October 19,2020,and the M_(W)8.2 Chignik thrust earthquake on July 29,2021.The spatial and temporal proximity of these three earthquakes prompts us to probe stress-triggering effects among them.Here we examine the coseismic Coulomb stress change imparted by the three earthquakes and their influence on the subduction interface.Our results show that:(1)The Simeonof earthquake has strong loading effects on the subsequent Sand Point and Chignik earthquakes,with the Coulomb stress changes of 3.95 bars and 2.89 bars,respectively.The Coulomb stress change caused by the Sand Point earthquake at the hypocenter of the Chignik earthquake is merely around 0.01 bars,suggesting the negligible triggering effect on the latter earthquake;(2)The triggering effects of the Simeonof,Sand Point,and Chignik earthquakes on aftershocks within three months are not well pronounced because of the triggering rates of 38%,14%,and 43%respectively.Other factors may have played an important role in promoting the occurrence of these aftershocks,such as the roughness of the subduction interface,the complicated velocity structure of the lithosphere,and the heterogeneous prestress therein;(3)The three earthquakes caused remarkable coseismic Coulomb stress changes at the subduction interface nearby these mainshocks,with an average Coulomb stress change of 3.2 bars in the shallow region directly inwards the trench. 展开更多

目的探讨血清神经元特异性烯醇化酶(NSE)、同型半胱氨酸(Hcy)及神经生长相关蛋白(GAP)-43水平与老年缺血性脑卒中发生发展的相关性。方法选取老年缺血性脑卒中患者282例为观察组,同期体检中心健康老年人100例为对照组。通过美国国立卫... 目的探讨血清神经元特异性烯醇化酶(NSE)、同型半胱氨酸(Hcy)及神经生长相关蛋白(GAP)-43水平与老年缺血性脑卒中发生发展的相关性。方法选取老年缺血性脑卒中患者282例为观察组,同期体检中心健康老年人100例为对照组。通过美国国立卫生院脑卒中量表(NIHSS),将观察组分为轻度脑卒中、中度脑卒中和重度脑卒中组;通过磁共振成像(MRI)显示的脑梗死面积,将观察组分为大梗死灶、中梗死灶和小梗死灶组;评估对照组与观察组、不同NIHSS评分分组、不同梗死面积分组及不同随访时间分组血清中NSE、Hcy及GAP-43的水平。通过改良Rankin量表(mRS)和Barthel指数(BI)量表,评估血清中NSE、Hcy及GAP-43的水平与随访1、3、6个月预后功能相关性。结果与对照组比较,观察组NSE、Hcy及GAP-43的水平明显升高,且随病情严重程度增加、梗死面积增大逐渐升高,随时间的延长逐渐降低,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。在3个月时,改良mRS评分与NSE水平呈显著正相关,BI评分与Hcy、GAP-43水平呈显著负相关(P<0.05);在6个月时,改良mRS评分与血清中NSE、Hcy及GAP-43的水平均呈显著正相关,BI评分与血清中NSE、Hcy及GAP-43的水平均呈显著负相关(P<0.05)。结论老年缺血性脑卒中患者血清中NSE、Hcy及GAP-43的水平与病情的发生发展有重要的相关性,可指导早期干预治疗和作为评估预后的重要依据。 展开更多

基于Info-gap理论的巷(隧)道围岩岩爆稳健可靠性预测

鉴于岩爆倾向性围岩对其参数变化的强敏感性,考虑巷(隧)道围岩物理、力学、环境等参数的变化幅度,建立了基于Info-gap理论的Info-gap模型、稳健函数及评价模型,定义了具有明确含义的安全系数。采用抗力—荷载模型,基于岩爆烈度分级标准... 鉴于岩爆倾向性围岩对其参数变化的强敏感性,考虑巷(隧)道围岩物理、力学、环境等参数的变化幅度,建立了基于Info-gap理论的Info-gap模型、稳健函数及评价模型,定义了具有明确含义的安全系数。采用抗力—荷载模型,基于岩爆烈度分级标准,建立了岩爆预测的功能函数。通过工程实例验证了基于Info-gap理论的岩爆预测模型的可靠性,并探讨了各参数对岩爆预测结果的影响。结果表明:基于Info-gap理论的岩爆预测模型是合理和适用的;通过岩爆预测评价模型,可实现对强烈岩爆、中等岩爆、弱岩爆和无岩爆的连续评价预测;若评价结果为强烈岩爆,则中等岩爆和弱岩爆必发生,若评价结果为中等岩爆,则弱岩爆必发生;随支护力的增加,稳健可靠度指标增加,支护对岩爆烈度降低及岩爆发生与否有重要控制性作用;对于巷(隧)道围岩内部而言,所处位置不同,稳健可靠度指标不同,代表其岩爆烈度不同,通过稳健可靠性分析可得出不同岩爆烈度的岩爆深度;地应力值的变化对岩爆烈度及岩爆发生与否有重要影响。研究结果可为岩爆预测及控制提供依据。 展开更多

试验旨在探究罗非鱼无乳链球菌(GBS)膜蛋白gap的免疫原性。试验提取GBS的DNA,利用PCR扩增出gap基因,并与表达载体pET-28a-SUMO构建重组质粒,转化至大肠杆菌BL21;经IPTG诱导、SDS-PAGE分析和Western blot检测确定其表达效果。采用纯化的... 试验旨在探究罗非鱼无乳链球菌(GBS)膜蛋白gap的免疫原性。试验提取GBS的DNA,利用PCR扩增出gap基因,并与表达载体pET-28a-SUMO构建重组质粒,转化至大肠杆菌BL21;经IPTG诱导、SDS-PAGE分析和Western blot检测确定其表达效果。采用纯化的gap蛋白与弗氏佐剂乳化腹腔注射免疫罗非鱼,以间接ELISA法检测血清效价并使用GBS进行攻毒试验。结果显示,PCR扩增出1011 bp大小的单条带gap基因,与预期一致;重组载体pET-28a-gap在23℃、0.4 mmol/L IPTG、12 h条件下成功表达49.8 ku的可溶性蛋白;ELISA检测显示,重组蛋白gap能够产生较高的血清抗体效价水平,对GBS攻毒后的罗非鱼相对保护率为64.1%。研究表明,重组蛋白gap具有较好的免疫原性,为鱼类的链球菌病的预防提供新的理论依据。 展开更多
