However, the complex space radiation environment induces primary knock-on atoms(PKAs) in BJTs through collisions, resulting in hard-to-recover displacement damage and affecting the performance of electronic components. In this paper, the properties of PKAs induced by typical space heavy ions(C, N, O, Fe) in BJTs are investigated using Monte Carlo simulations. The simulated results show that the energy spectrum of ion-induced PKAs is primarily concentrated in the low-energy range(17eV–100eV) and displays similar features across all tested ions. The PKAs induced by the collision of energetic ions have large forward scattering angles, mainly around 88°. Moreover, the distribution of PKAs within a transistor as a function of depth displays a peak characteristic, and the peak position is linearly proportional to the incident energy at a certain energy range. These simulation outcomes serve as crucial theoretical support for long-term semiconductor material defect evolution and ground testing of semiconductor devices.展开更多

In this work, we mainly focus on reviewing our two projects performed in the past decade. One is about the ions with Z■30 that are generally of astrophysical interest, and the other one is about the highly charged krypton(Z = 36)and tungsten(Z = 74) ions that are relevant in research of magnetic confinement fusion. Two different and independent methods, namely, multiconfiguration Dirac–Hartree–Fock(MCDHF) and the relativistic many-body perturbation theory(RMBPT) are usually used in our studies. As a complement/extension to our previous works for highly charged tungsten ions with open M-shell and open N-shell, we also mainly focus on presenting and discussing our complete RMBPT and MCDHF calculations for the excitation energies, wavelengths, electric dipole(E1), magnetic dipole(M1), electric quadrupole(E2), and magnetic quadrupole(M2) transition properties, and level lifetimes for the lowest 148 levels belonging to the 3l3configurations in Al-like W61+. We also summarize the uncertainties of our systematical theoretical calculations, by cross-checking/validating our datasets from our RMBPT and MCDHF calculations, and by detailed comparisons with available accurate observations and other theoretical calculations. 文摘With the increasing demand for scalable and cost-effective electrochemical energy storage, aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs)have a broad application prospect as an inexpensive, efficient, and naturally secure energy storage device. However, the limitations suffered by AZIBs,including volume expansion and active materials dissolution of the cathode, electrochemical corrosion, irreversible side reactions, zinc dendrites of the anode, have seriously decelerated the civilianization process of AZIBs.Currently, polymers have tremendous superiority for application in AZIBs attributed to their exceptional chemical stability, tunable structure, high energy density and outstanding mechanical properties.Considering the expanding applications of AZIBs and the superiority of polymers, this comprehensive paper meticulously reviews the benefits of utilizing polymeric applied to cathodes and anodes, respectively. To begin with, with adjustable structure as an entry point, the correlation between polymer structure and the function of energy storage as well as optimization is deeply investigated in respect to the mechanism. Then, depending on the diversity of properties and structures, the development of polymers in AZIBs is summarized, including conductive polymers, redox polymers as well as carbon composite polymers for cathode and polyvinylidene fluoride-,carbonyl-,amino-,nitrile-based polymers for anode, and a comprehensive evaluation of the shortcomings of these strategies is provided. Finally,an outlook highlights some of the challenges posed by the application of polymers and offers insights into the potential future direction of polymers in AZIBs.It is designed to provide a thorough reference for researchers and developers working on polymer for AZIBs.

文摘In the scope of developing new electrochemical concepts to build batteries with high energy density, chloride ion batteries(CIBs)have emerged as a candidate for the next generation of novel electrochemical energy storage technologies, which show the potential in matching or even surpassing the current lithium metal batteries in terms of energy density,dendrite-free safety, and elimination of the dependence on the strained lithium and cobalt resources. However, the development of CIBs is still at the initial stage with unsatisfactory performance and several challenges have hindered them from reaching commercialization. In this review,we examine the current advances of CIBs by considering the electrode material design to the electrolyte, thus outlining the new opportunities of aqueous CIBs especially combined with desalination, chloride redox battery, etc. With respect to the developing road of lithium ion and fluoride ion batteries, the possibility of using solid-state chloride ion conductors to replace liquid electrolytes is tentatively discussed.Going beyond, perspectives and clear suggestions are concluded by highlighting the major obstacles and by prescribing specific research topics to inspire more efforts for CIBs in large-scale energy storage applications.

文摘The electron-impact single ionization cross section for W8+ion has been calculated using flexible atomic code, employing the level-to-level distorted-wave approximation. This calculations takes into account contributions form both direct ionization(DI)and excitation autoionization(EA).However, the theoretical predictions, based solely on the ground state, tends to underestimate the experimental values. This discrepancy can be mitigated by incorporation contributions from excited states. We extended the theoretical analysis, including the contributions from the long-lived metastable states with lifetimes exceeding 1.5×10-5 s.We employed two statistical models to predict the fraction of ground state ions in the parent ion beam.Assuming a 79%fraction of parent ions in ground configuration, the experiment measurements align with the predictions.Furthermore we derived the theoretical cross-section for the ground state as correlated plasma rate coefficients, and compared it with existing data.Despite the uncertainty in our calculations, our results are still acceptable.

文摘Vanadium-based electrodes are regarded as attractive cathode materials in aqueous zinc ion batteries(ZIBs)caused by their high capacity and unique layered structure. However,it is extremely challenging to acquire high electrochemical performance owing to the limited electronic conductivity, sluggish ion kinetics, and severe volume expansion during the insertion/extraction process of Zn^(2+).Herein,a series of V_(2)O_(3)nanospheres embedded N-doped carbon nanofiber structures with various V_(2)O_(3)spherical morphologies(solid,core-shell,hollow)have been designed for the first time by an electrospinning technique followed thermal treatments. The N-doped carbon nanofibers not only improve the electrical conductivity and the structural stability, but also provides encapsulating shells to prevent the vanadium dissolution and aggregation of V_(2)O_(3)particles.Furthermore,the varied morphological structures of V_(2)O_(3)with abundant oxygen vacancies can alleviate the volume change and increase the Zn^(2+)pathway.Besides,the phase transition between V_(2)O_(3)and Zn_XV_(2)O_(5-m)·n H_(2)O in the cycling was also certified. As a result, the as-obtained composite delivers excellent long-term cycle stability and enhanced rate performance for coin cells, which is also confirmed through density functional theory(DFT)calculations.Even assembled into flexible ZIBs,the sample still exhibits superior electrochemical performance, which may afford new design concept for flexible cathode materials of ZIBs.

文摘With the depletion of fossil fuels and the demand for high-performance energy storage devices, solidstate lithium metal batteries have received widespread attention due to their high energy density and safety advantages.Among them, the earliest developed organic solid-state polymer electrolyte has a promising future due to its advantages such as good mechanical flexibility, but its poor ion transport performance dramatically limits its performance improvement.Therefore,single-ion conducting polymer electrolytes(SICPEs)with high lithium-ion transport number, capable of improving the concentration polarization and inhibiting the growth of lithium dendrites, have been proposed, which provide a new direction for the further development of high-performance organic polymer electrolytes. In view of this, lithium ions transport mechanisms and design principles in SICPEs are summarized and discussed in this paper. The modification principles currently used can be categorized into the following three types:enhancement of lithium salt anion-polymer interactions, weakening of lithium salt anion-cation interactions, and modulation of lithium ion-polymer interactions. In addition, the advances in single-ion conductors of conventional and novel polymer electrolytes are summarized, and several typical highperformance single-ion conductors are enumerated and analyzed in what way they improve ionic conductivity, lithium ions mobility, and the ability to inhibit lithium dendrites. Finally, the advantages and design methodology of SICPEs are summarized again and the future directions are outlined.

文摘Despite the presence of Li F components in the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)formed on the graphite anode surface by conventional electrolyte, these Li F components primarily exist in an amorphous state, rendering them incapable of effectively inhibiting the exchange reaction between lithium ions and transition metal ions in the electrolyte.Consequently, nearly all lithium ions within the SEI film are replaced by transition metal ions, resulting in an increase in interphacial impedance and a decrease in stability.Herein,we demonstrate that the SEI film, constructed by fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)additive rich in crystalline Li F,effectively inhibits the undesired Li^(+)/Co^(2+)ion exchange reaction, thereby suppressing the deposition of cobalt compounds and metallic cobalt.Furthermore, the deposited cobalt compounds exhibit enhanced structural stability and reduced catalytic activity with minimal impact on the interphacial stability of the graphite anode. Our findings reveal the crucial influence of SEI film composition and structure on the deposition and hazards associated with transition metal ions, providing valuable guidance for designing next-generation electrolytes.

文摘Bipolar junction transistors(BJTs) are often used in spacecraft due to their excellent working characteristics. These simulation outcomes serve as crucial theoretical support for long-term semiconductor material defect evolution and ground testing of semiconductor devices.

文摘Developing efficient energy storage for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)by creating high-performance heterojunctions and understanding their interfacial interaction at the atomic/molecular level holds promise but is also challenging.Besides, sluggish reaction kinetics at low temperatures restrict the operation of SIBs in cold climates.Herein,cross-linking nanoarchitectonics of WS_(2)/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) heterojunction, featuring built-in electric field(BIEF),have been developed, employing as a model to reveal the positive effect of heterojunction design and BIEF for modifying the reaction kinetics and electrochemical activity.Particularly, the theoretical analysis manifests the discrepancy in work functions leads to the electronic flow from the electron-rich Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) to layered WS_(2),spontaneously forming the BIEF and“ion reservoir”at the heterogeneous interface.Besides, the generation of cross-linking pathways further promotes the transportation of electrons/ions,which guarantees rapid diffusion kinetics and excellent structure coupling.Consequently, superior sodium storage performance is obtained for the WS_(2)/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) heterojunction, with only 0.2%decay per cycle at 5.0 A g^(-1)(25℃)up to 1000 cycles and a high capacity of 293.5 mA h g^(-1)(0.1A g^(-1)after 100 cycles)even at-20℃.Importantly,the spontaneously formed BIEF,accompanied by“ion reservoir”,in heterojunction provides deep understandings of the correlation between structure fabricated and performance obtained.

文摘Atomic radiative data such as excitation energies, transition wavelengths, radiative rates, and level lifetimes with high precision are the essential parameters for the abundance analysis, simulation, and diagnostics in fusion and astrophysical plasmas. 文摘Vertebrate neurons are highly dynamic cells that undergo several alterations in their functioning and physiologies in adaptation to various external stimuli. In particular, how these neurons respond to physical exercise has long been an area of active research.Studies of the vertebrate locomotor system’s adaptability suggest multiple mechanisms are involved in the regulation of neuronal activity and properties during exercise. In this brief review,we highlight recent results and insights from the field with a focus on the following mechanisms:(a)alterations in neuronal excitability during acute exercise;(b)alterations in neuronal excitability after chronic exercise;(c)exercise-induced changes in neuronal membrane properties via modulation of ion channel activity;(d)exercise-enhanced dendritic plasticity;and(e)exercise-induced alterations in neuronal gene expression and protein synthesis. Our hope is to update the community with a cellular and molecular understanding of the recent mechanisms underlying the adaptability of the vertebrate locomotor system in response to both acute and chronic physical exercise.

文摘Advancing high-voltage stability of layered sodium-ion oxides represents a pivotal avenue for their progress in energy storage applications.Despite this,a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms underpinning their structural deterioration at elevated voltages remains insufficiently explored. In this study,we unveil a layer delamination phenomenon of Na_(0.67)Ni_(0.3)Mn_(0.7)O_(2)(NNM)within the 2.0-4.3 V voltage, attributed to considerable volumetric fluctuations along the c-axis and lattice oxygen reactions induced by the simultaneous Ni^(3+)/Ni^(4+)and anion redox reactions.By introducing Mg doping to diminished Ni-O antibonding, the anion oxidation-reduction reactions are effectively mitigated, and the structural integrity of the P2 phase remains firmly intact, safeguarding active sites and precluding the formation of novel interfaces. The Na_(0.67)Mg_(0.05)Ni_(0.25)Mn_(0.7)O_(2)(NMNM-5)exhibits a specific capacity of100.7 mA h g^(-1),signifying an 83%improvement compared to the NNM material within the voltage of2.0-4.3 V.This investigation underscores the intricate interplay between high-voltage stability and structural degradation mechanisms in layered sodium-ion oxides.

文摘The state-selective cross section data are useful for understanding and modeling the x-ray emission in celestial observations. In the present work, using the cold target recoil ion momentum spectroscopy, for the first time we investigated the state-selective single electron capture processes for S^(q+)–He and H_(2)(q=11–15)collision systems at an impact energy of q×20 keV and obtained the relative state-selective cross sections. The results indicate that only a few principal quantum states of the projectile energy level are populated in a single electron capture process. In particular, the increase of the projectile charge state leads to the population of the states with higher principal quantum numbers. It is also shown that the experimental averaged n-shell populations are reproduced well by the over-barrier model. The database is openly available in Science Data Bank at 10.57760/sciencedb.j00113.00091.

文摘Improving the reversibility of anionic redox and inhibiting irreversible oxygen evolution are the main challenges in the application of high reversible capacity Li-rich Mn-based cathode materials.A facile synchronous lithiation strategy combining the advantages of yttrium doping and LiYO_(2) surface coating is proposed.Yttrium doping effectively suppresses the oxygen evolution during the delithiation process by increasing the energy barrier of oxygen evolution reaction through strong Y–O bond energy.LiYO_(2) nanocoating has the function of structural constraint and protection, that protecting the lattice oxygen exposed to the surface, thus avoiding irreversible oxidation. As an Li^(+) conductor,LiYO_(2) nano-coating can provide a fast Li^(+) transfer channel, which enables the sample to have excellent rate performance. The synergistic effect of Y doping and nano-LiYO_(2) coating integration suppresses the oxygen release from the surface, accelerates the diffusion of Li^(+)from electrolyte to electrode and decreases the interfacial side reactions, enabling the lithium ion batteries to obtain good electrochemical performance. The lithium-ion full cell employing the Y-1 sample(cathode)and commercial graphite(anode)exhibit an excellent specific energy density of 442.9 Wh kg^(-1) at a current density of 0.1C,with very stable safety performance, which can be used in a wide temperature range(60 to-15℃)stable operation. This result illustrates a new integration strategy for advanced cathode materials to achieve high specific energy density.

文摘The effects of impurities on ion temperature gradient(ITG)driven turbulence transport in tokamak core plasmas are investigated numerically via global simulations of microturbulence with carbon impurities and adiabatic electrons. The simulations use an extended fluid code(ExFC)based on a four-field gyro-Landau-fluid(GLF)model.The multispecies form of the normalized GLF equations is presented, which guarantees the self-consistent evolution of both bulk ions and impurities. With parametric profiles of the cyclone base case,well-benchmarked ExFC is employed to perform simulations focusing on different impurity density profiles. For a fixed temperature profile,it is found that the turbulent heat diffusivity of bulk ions in a quasi-steady state is usually lower than that without impurities, which is contrary to the linear and quasilinear predictions. The evolutions of the temperature gradient and heat diffusivity exhibit a fast relaxation process, indicating that the destabilization of the outwardly peaked impurity profile is a transient state response.Furthermore, the impurity effects from different profiles can obviously influence the nonlinear critical temperature gradient, which is likely to be dominated by linear effects. These results suggest that the improvement in plasma confinement could be attributed to the impurities, most likely through adjusting both heat diffusivity and the critical temperature gradient.

文摘The absolute partial and total cross sections for electron impact ionization of carbon monoxide are reported for electron energies from 350 eV to 8000 eV.The product ions(CO^(+),C^(+),O^(+),CO^(2+),C^(2+),and O^(2+))are measured by employing an ion imaging mass spectrometer and two ion-pair dissociation channels(C^(+)+O^(+)and C^(2+)+O^(+))are identified. The absolute cross sections for producing individual ions and their total,as well as for the ion-pair dissociation channels are obtained by normalizing the data of CO^(+)to that of Ar^(+)from CO-Ar mixture target with a fixed 1:1 ratio. The overall errors are evaluated by considering various kinds of uncertainties.A comprehensive comparison is made with the available data, which shows a good agreement with each other over the energy ranges that are overlapped. This work presents new cross-section data with electron energies above 1000 eV.
