Fluid-conveying pipe systems are widely used in various equipments to transport matter and energy.Due to the fluid–structure interaction effect,the fluid acting on the pipe wall is easy to produce strong vibration and noise,which have a serious influence on the safety and concealment of the equipment.Based on the theory of phononic crystals,this paper studies the vibration transfer properties of a locally resonant(LR)pipe under the condition of fluid–structure interaction.The band structure and the vibration transfer properties of a finite periodic pipe are obtained by the transfer matrix method.Further,the different impact excitation and fluid–structure interaction effect on the frequency range of vibration attenuation properties of the LR pipe are mainly considered and calculated by the finite element model.The results show that the existence of a low-frequency vibration bandgap in the LR pipe can effectively suppress the vibration propagation under external impact and fluid impact excitation,and the vibration reduction frequency range is near the bandgap under the fluid–structure interaction effect.Finally,the pipe impact experiment was performed to verify the effective attenuation of the LR structure to the impact excitation,and to validate the finite element model.The research results provide a technical reference for the vibration control of the fluid-conveying pipe systems that need to consider blast load and fluid impact. 展开更多

In this paper,the limit sets theory for an autonomous dynamical system is generalized to a multi-body system vibrating with impacts.We discover that if every motion of the system is bounded,it has only four different types:periodic motion 7 t,non-periodic recurrent motion γ2,and non-Poisson stable mo- tions γ3 and γ4 approaching γ1 and γ2, respectively.γ2 is the source of chaos.It is very interesting that cha- otic motions seem stochastic but possess the character of recurrence.By way of example,we discuss chaotic motions of a small ball bouncing vertically on a massive vibrating table.The result obtained by us is different from that obtained by Holmes. 展开更多

To analyze the dynamic response and reliability of a continuous beam bridge under the action of an extra heavy vehicle, a vehicle–bridge coupled vibration model was established based on the virtual work principle and vehicle–bridge displacement compatibility equation, which can accurately simulate the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle and bridge. Results show that deck roughness has an important function in the effect of the vehicle on the bridge. When an extra heavy vehicle passes through the continuous beam bridge at a low speed of 5 km/h, the impact coefficient reaches a high value, which should not be disregarded in bridge safety assessments. Considering that no specific law exists between the impact coefficient and vehicle speed, vehicle speed should not be unduly limited and deck roughness repairing should be paid considerable attention. Deck roughness has a significant influence on the reliability index, which decreases as deck roughness increases. For the continuous beam bridge in this work, the reliability index of each control section is greater than the minimum reliability index. No reinforcement measures are required for over-sized transport. 展开更多

To achieve the dual demand of resisting violent impact and attenuating vibration in vibration-impact-safety of protection for precision equipment such as MEMS packaging system, a theo- retical mathematical model of multi-medium coupling shock absorber is presented. The coupling of quadratic damping, linear damping, Coulomb damping and nonlinear spring are considered in the model. The approximate theoretical calculating formulae are deduced by introducing transformation-tactics. The contrasts between the analytical results and numerical integration results are developed. The resisting impact characteristics of the model are also analyzed in progress. In the meantime, the optimum model of the parameters matching selection for design of the shock absorber is built. The example design is illustrated to confirm the validity of the modeling method and the theoretical solution. 展开更多
