Iljinskaja from the Hunchun Formation (Middle Eocene) shows similarity to that of modem C. paliurus (Batal.) Iljinskaja and the specimen is the oldest fossil record in Europe and Asia. The distributions of C. cf. paliurus and other fossil records, such as Glyptostrobus, Metasequoia, Nyssa, and Liquidambar, in Hunchun flora show that it would have been a warmer-temperature to subtropical climate in Hunchun District during the Eocene period. 展开更多

Pterocarine (1), a new diarylheptanoidal compound, was isolated from Pterocaryatonkinesis (Franch.) Dode. together with a known diarylheptanoid, myricatomentogenin (2), througha bioassay-guided fractionation procedure. The structure of 1 was elucidated as (+)-3', 4''-epoxy-1-(4'-hydroxyphenyl)-7-(3''-hydroxyphenyl)-heptane-3-one by the spectroscopic methods.Pterocarine (1) inhibited the proliferation of tsFT210, HCT-15 and K562 cells with the inhibitionrates of 20.2±2.4, 23.8±2.4 and 50.5±1.2% at 100 μg/mL, respectively. Flow cytometric analysisindicated that 1 could inhibit the cell cycle of tsFT210, HCT-15 and K562 cells at the G0/G1 phaseand could also induce apoptosis in HCT-15 (19%) and K562 (11%) cells. 展开更多

[Methods] The column chromatography and recrystallization were used to isolate 13 compounds from walnut green husk, and their structures were identified by modern spectroscopy. [Results] The 13 kinds of compounds isolated from walnut green husk were identified as 3, 5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxy benzene carbonic-7-O-β-D-pyranglucose(1), myricananin F(2), β-stitosterol(3), oleanolic acid(4), regiolone(5), asiatic acid(6), hederagenin(7), β-daucosterin(8),(4 R)-4,8-dihydroxy-α-tetralone-4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(9), 3β, 23-dihydroxy-urs-12-en-28-oic acid(10), ursolic acid(11), syringc acid(12), and Juglanoside B(13). Among these, compounds 1, 2, 6, 7, 9, and 10 were all isolated from this genus of plant for the first time. [Conclusions] Through screening for antitumor activity in vitro, it was found that compound 4 showed strong growth inhibitory activity against the proliferation of human hepatoma cells(HepG-2), and compound 9 had certain growth inhibitory activity against the proliferation of human breast cancer cells(MCF-7). 展开更多

Ten previously undescribed dammarane-type triterpenoid glycosides,cyclocarysaponins A–J(1–10),were isolated from the leaves of Cyclocarya paliurus(Batal.)Iljinskaja.The structures of these compounds were characterized through detailed spectroscopic analysis,including 1D and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)and high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry(HR-ESI-MS).The cytotoxic activities of all isolates were assessed against five human cancer cell lines(Bel-7402,Caski,BGC-823,A2780,and HCT-116).Of the tested compounds,compounds 1,7,and 9 exhibited selective cytotoxicity against one or more human cancer cell lines. 展开更多

The present study was designed to isolate and characterize novel chemical constituents of the stem bark of Juglans mandshurica Maxim.(Juglandaceae).The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by various chromatographic techniques. The structures of the compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectral data(1D and 2D NMR, HR-ESI-MS, CD, UV, and IR) and by the comparisons of spectroscopic data with the reported values in the literatures. Two long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids(1 and 2) were obtained and identified as(S)-(8E,10E)-12-hydroxy-7-oxo-8,10-octadecadienoic acid(1) and(S)-(8E, 10E)-12-hydroxy-7-oxo-8,10-octadecadienoic acid methyl ester(2). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on the isolation and structural elucidation of the two new conjugated ketonic fatty acids from this genus. 展开更多
