The effect of calcination temperature on the reactivity for vapor phase hydrofluorination of acetylene to vinyl fluoride. The catalysts calcined at different temperatures were characterized using NH3-TPD, pyridine-FTIR, X-ray diffraction, and Raman techniques. It was found that the calcination process could not only change the structure of these catalysts but also modify the amount of surface acidity on the catalysts. The catalyst calcined at 400 ℃ exhibited the highest conversion of acetylene (94.6%) and highest selectivity to vinyl fluoride (83.4%) and lower coke deposition selectivity (0.72%). The highest activity was related to the largest amount of surface acidity on the catalyst, and the coke deposition was also related to the total amount of surface acidic sites.展开更多

This method is simpler and more efficient than previously reported step-by-step method in which magnets were consecutively dispersed in DMF solutions each containing one MOF precursor, and the obtained Fe304@UiO-66-NH2 with three assembly cycles has a higher degree of crystallinity and porosiW. The core-shell Fe3O4@UiO-66-NH2 is highly active and selective in Knoevenagel condensations because of the bifunctionality of UiO-66-NH2 and better mass transfer in the nano-sized shells. It also has good recycling stability, and can be recovered magnetically and reused at least four times without significant loss of catalytic activity and framework integrity. The effects of substitution on the reactivity of benzaldehyde and of substrate size were also investigated.展开更多

It was found that the addition of K significantly enhanced the activity. A detailed kinetic study showed that the activation energies of the K-containing catalysts were lower than those of the K-free ones, particularly for catalysts with high Pt contents (51.6 k)/mol for 0.42K-2.0Pt/Al2O3 and 6:3.6 kJ/mol for 2.0Pt/Al2O3 ). The CO reaction orders were higher for the K-containing catalysts (about -0.2) than for the K-free ones (about -0.5), with the former having much lower equilibrium constants for CO adsorption than the latter. In situ Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy showed that surface CO desorption from the 0.42K-2.0Pt/Al2O3 catalyst was easier than from 2.0Pt/Al2O3. The promoting effect of K was therefore caused by weakening of the interactions between CO and surface Pt atoms. This decreased coverage of the catalyst with CO and facilitated competitive O2 chemisorption on the Pt surface, and significantly lowered the reaction barrier between chemisorbed CO and O2 species.展开更多

In this work, the catalyst, whose activity increases with the reaction temperature and pressure, was studied at calcined, reduced, and reacted conditions. TEM and EDX images for the calcined and reduced catalysts showed that copper was distributed uniformly at both conditions. TPR profile revealed two reduction peaks at 165 and 195 °C for copper species in the calcined catalyst. QXAFS results demonstrated that the calcined form consisted mainly of a mixed Cu O and Zn O, and it was progressively transformed into Cu metal particles and dispersed Zn O species as the reduction treatment. It was demonstrated that activation of the catalyst precursor occurred via a Cu^+intermediate, and the active catalyst predominantly consisted of metallic Cu and Zn O evenunder higher pressures. Structure of the active catalyst did not change with the temperature or pressure, indicating that the role of the Zn was mainly to improve Cu dispersion. This indicates the potential of QXAFS method in studying the structure evolutions of catalysts in methanol synthesis.展开更多

The structural and physico-chemical properties were analyzed with X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron micrograph (SEM) and mercury porosimetry. The NOx conversion and durability were investigated on a pilot plant test set under the actual operational conditions of a coal fired boiler. The catalyst monolith had good formability with mass per- centage of V : W : Mo : TiO2 : fiber glass = 1 : 4.5 : 4.5 : 72 : 18. Vanadium, tungsten and molybdenum species were highly dispersed on anatase TiO2 without causing the transformation of anatase TiO2 to ruffle by calcining under a current of air at 450℃ for 4.5 h, but there were some degrees of crystal distortion. The catalyst particle sizes were almost uniform with close pile-up and the pore structure was regular with complete macro-pore formation and large specific surface area. The NOx conversion was sensitive to temperature but nearly insensitive to NH3. The catalyst showed strong adaptability to NOx concentration with activity above 80% in the range of 615 1640 mg.m-3. Within the range of 720-8640 h continuous operation, the NOx conversion dropped at a rate of about 1% reduction per 600 h.展开更多

The catalyst samples were characterized by using N2 physical adsorption, temperature-programmed reduction/desorption (TPR/TPD) and MSssbauer effect spectroscopy (MES) methods. The characterization results indicated that the BET surface area increases with increasing Al2O3 content and passes through a maximum at the Al2O3/Fe ratio of 10/100 (weight basis). After the point, it decreases with further increase in Al2O3 content. The incorporation of Al2O3 binder was found to weaken the surface basicity and suppress the reduction and carburization of iron-based catalysts probably due to the strong K-Al2O3 and Fe-Al2O3 interactions. Furthermore, the H2 adsorption ability of the catalysts is enhanced with increasing Al2O3 content. The FTS performances of the catalysts were tested in a slurry-phase continuously stirred tank reactor (CSTR) under the reaction conditions of 260 ℃, 1.5 MPa, 1000 h^-1 and molar ratio of H2/CO 0.67 for 200 h. The results showed that the addition of small amounts of Al2O3 affects the activity of iron-based catalysts to a little extent. However, with further increase of Al2O3 content, the FTS activity and water gas shift reaction (WGS) activity are decreased severely. The addition of appropriate Al2O3 do not affect the product selectivity, but the catalysts incorporated with large amounts of Al2O3 have higher selectivity for light hydrocarbons and lower selectivity for heavy hydrocarbons.展开更多

文摘A series of K-promoted Pt/Al2O3 catalysts were tested for CO oxidation. This decreased coverage of the catalyst with CO and facilitated competitive O2 chemisorption on the Pt surface, and significantly lowered the reaction barrier between chemisorbed CO and O2 species.

文摘A series of V2O5‐WO3/TiO2‐ZrO2,V2O5‐WO3/TiO2‐CeO2,and V2O5‐WO3/TiO2‐CeO2‐ZrO2 catalysts were synthesized to improve the selective catalytic reduction(SCR)performance and the K‐poisoning resistance of a V2O5‐WO3/TiO2 catalyst. The physicochemical properties were investigated by using XRD,BET,NH3‐TPD,H2‐TPR,and XPS,and the catalytic performance and K‐poisoning resistance were evaluated via a NH3‐SCR model reaction.Ce^4+and Zr^4+co‐doping were found to enhance the conversion of NOx,and exhibit the best K‐poisoning resistance owing to the largest BET‐specific surface area, pore volume, and total acid site concentration,as well as the minimal effects on the surface acidity and redox ability from K poisoning. The V2O5‐WO3/TiO2‐CeO2‐ZrO2 catalyst also presents outstanding H2O+SO2 tolerance. Finally, the in situ DRIFTS reveals that the NH3‐SCR reaction over the V2O5‐WO3/TiO2‐CeO2‐ZrO2 catalyst follows an L‐H mechanism, and that K poisoning does not change the reaction mechanism.

文摘The V/O5-WO3-MoOy'TiO2 honeycomb catalyst was prepared with industrial grade chemicals. Within the range of 720-8640 h continuous operation, the NOx conversion dropped at a rate of about 1% reduction per 600 h.

文摘A series of mesoporous Cu-Zn-Al2O3 materials have been synthesized at ambient temperature and their structure was characterized by XRD, N2 physical adsorption and TPR techniques. Their catalytic applications for the dehydrogenation of 2-butanol to methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) were evaluated in a fixed-bed flow reactor at atmospheric pressure. It is demonstrated from the XRD patterns that both the as-synthesized samples and calcined samples have the typical XRD patterns of meso-structured materials and the results of N20 chemical adsorption showed that Cu was embedded in the framework of the mesoporous materials and homogeneously dispersed in the mesoporous Cu-Zn-Al2O3 materials. The catalytic activity of 2-butanol dehydrogenation was varied in the order of CZA(10) 〈 CZA(CP) 〈 CZA(20) 〈 CZA(30); while the selectivity of MEK was increased in the order of CZA(CP) 〈 CZA(10) 〈 CZA(20) 〈CZA(30).

文摘Ni-based catalysts doped with copper additives were studied on their role in ethanol steam reforming reaction. The effects of Cu content, support species involving Al2O3-SIO2, Al2O3-MgO, Al2O3-ZnO, and Al2O3-La2O3, on the catalytic performance were studied. Characterizations by TPR, XRD, NH3-TPD, XPS, and TGA indicated that catalysts 30Ni5Cu/Al2O3-MgO and 30Ni5Cu/Al2O3-ZnO have much higher H2 selectivity than 30Ni5Cu/Al2O3-SiO2, as well as good coke resistance. H2 selectivity for 30Ni5Cu/Al2O3-MgO catalyst was 73.3% at 450 ℃ and increased to 94.0% at 600℃, whereas for 30Ni5Cu/Al2O3-ZnO catalyst, the H2 selectivity was 63.6% at 450 ℃ and 95.2% at 600℃. TheseAl2O3-MgO and Al2O3-ZnO supported Ni-Cu bimetallic catalysts may have important applications in the production of hydrogen by ethanol steam reforming reactions.

文摘A series of iron-based Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) catalysts incorporated with Al2O3 binder were prepared by the combination of co-precipitation and spray drying technology. The addition of appropriate Al2O3 do not affect the product selectivity, but the catalysts incorporated with large amounts of Al2O3 have higher selectivity for light hydrocarbons and lower selectivity for heavy hydrocarbons.
