Augmented reality(AR)is an emerging dynamic technology that effectively supports education across different levels.The increased use of mobile devices has an even greater impact.As the demand for AR applications in ed...Augmented reality(AR)is an emerging dynamic technology that effectively supports education across different levels.The increased use of mobile devices has an even greater impact.As the demand for AR applications in education continues to increase,educators actively seek innovative and immersive methods to engage students in learning.However,exploring these possibilities also entails identifying and overcoming existing barriers to optimal educational integration.Concurrently,this surge in demand has prompted the identification of specific barriers,one of which is three-dimensional(3D)modeling.Creating 3D objects for augmented reality education applications can be challenging and time-consuming for the educators.To address this,we have developed a pipeline that creates realistic 3D objects from the two-dimensional(2D)photograph.Applications for augmented and virtual reality can then utilize these created 3D objects.We evaluated the proposed pipeline based on the usability of the 3D object and performance metrics.Quantitatively,with 117 respondents,the co-creation team was surveyed with openended questions to evaluate the precision of the 3D object created by the proposed photogrammetry pipeline.We analyzed the survey data using descriptive-analytical methods and found that the proposed pipeline produces 3D models that are positively accurate when compared to real-world objects,with an average mean score above 8.This study adds new knowledge in creating 3D objects for augmented reality applications by using the photogrammetry technique;finally,it discusses potential problems and future research directions for 3D objects in the education sector.展开更多
The benefits of regular physical activity are well known.Yet,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(PA)into curricula within a post-secondary setting.To investigate the incorporat...The benefits of regular physical activity are well known.Yet,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(PA)into curricula within a post-secondary setting.To investigate the incorporation of PA into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(MSK)anatomy course material.These synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy instructor.The fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anatomy instructor asked questions about relevant anatomical structures related to course material previously covered.After the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving MSK anatomy knowledge,PA levels,and mental wellbeing.Thirty participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of MSK concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).Many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce stress.The majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social connectedness.Overall,medical students saw benefit in PA based interventions to supplement MSK course concepts.Along with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating PA into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.展开更多

This study is to explore the dual effects of rural education in promoting the physical and mental health of adolescents and developing agricultural labor force in the Philippines.By analyzing the data of the Philippin...This study is to explore the dual effects of rural education in promoting the physical and mental health of adolescents and developing agricultural labor force in the Philippines.By analyzing the data of the Philippine Bureau of Statistics(PSA),the report of the Ministry of Education and the survey of the Asian Development Bank(ADB)from 2015 to 2022,and combining with 12 core documents,this paper summarized the data of the Ministry of Education.It reveals that rural education has significantly improved the health literacy of adolescents through curriculum and community interaction(education coverage increased from 48%in 2015 to 67%in 2021),while providing an average annual labor reserve of 15%for agricultural production.In spite of this,geographical isolation(30%of rural schools need to walk more than hour)and uneven distribution of resources(education expenditure per student in urban areas is 2.3 times that in rural areas)are still main constraints for the education effectiveness.Finally,this study proposes implementing the policy framework of"integration of agricultural education",integrating mental health services and vocational skills training,and establishing a cross-sectoral collaboration mechanism.展开更多

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate health education using videos and leaflets for preconception care (PCC) awareness among adolescent females up to six months after the health education. Methods: The...Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate health education using videos and leaflets for preconception care (PCC) awareness among adolescent females up to six months after the health education. Methods: The subjects were female university students living in the Kinki area. A longitudinal survey was conducted on 67 members in the intervention group, who received the health education, and 52 members in the control group, who did not receive the health education. The primary outcome measures were knowledge of PCC and the subscales of the Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile. Surveys were conducted before, after, and six months after the intervention in the intervention group, and an initial survey and survey six months later were conducted in the control group. Cochran’s Q test, Bonferroni’s multiple comparison test, and McNemar’s test were used to analyze the knowledge of PCC data. The Health Awareness, Nutrition, and Stress Management subscales of the Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile were analyzed by paired t-test, and comparisons between the intervention and control groups were performed using the two-way repeated measures analysis of variance. Results: In the intervention group of 67 people, the number of subjects who answered “correct” for five of the nine items concerning knowledge of PCC increased immediately after the health education (P = 0.006) but decreased for five items from immediately after the health education to six months later (P = 0.043). In addition, the number of respondents who answered “correct” for “low birth weight infants and future lifestyle-related diseases” (P = 0.016) increased after six months compared with before the health education. For the 52 subjects in the control group, there was no change in the number of subjects who answered “correct” for eight out of the nine items after six months. There was also no increase in scores for the Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile after six months for either the intervention or control group. Conclusion: Providing health education about PCC using videos and leaflets to adolescent females was shown to enhance the knowledge of PCC immediately after the education.展开更多

文摘The integrated development of nursing education and innovation&entrepreneurship education is a crucial approach to cultivating high-quality nursing professionals and advancing the discipline of nursing.This paper discusses the main issues currently faced in the integration process and provides reform suggestions from six aspects:curriculum system,teaching methods,practical teaching platforms,project competitions,faculty development,and evaluation systems.These explorations aim to offer theoretical support and practical references for promoting the deep integration of nursing education and innovation&entrepreneurship education,ultimately enhancing students’innovation and entrepreneurial capabilities.
文摘As an important result of the development of digital science and technology,artificial intelligence(AI)technology has penetrated all aspects of preschool education,bringing unprecedented changes to children’s learning and development.Based on the current situation of preschool education,the article analyzes the characteristics of the application of AI equipment in children’s preschool education,and points out that the value of its application is mainly manifested in enriching the form of play in preschool education,improving the acceptance of students,enhancing the pertinence of preschool education based on big data prediction,and enriching the means of education for special children.Under the background of the rapid development of AI technology,the article puts forward countermeasures for the development of children’s education in the era of AI,adheres to the bottom-line principle of protecting children,and forms a good AI application scenario based on children’s needs.To further cultivate children’s AI literacy and strengthen the depth of AI application in preschool education,this article helps the users of preschool education to apply AI more effectively and achieve quality improvement of preschool education.

文摘The current system of Chinese medicine education is centered on institutional education,teacher-training education,and continuing education,and it has realized the dynamic match between the supply of talents and the demand of the industry through large-scale cultivation,innovative teacher-training integration,and multi-dimensional continuing education.However,there are still problems such as the disconnection between the theory and practice of institutional education,the limited development of teacher-training education on a large scale,the uneven quality of continuing education,the conflict of combined education of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine,and the obstruction of internationalized education.This paper proposes to reconstruct the institutional curriculum system,innovate the stratified classification system of teacher training,strengthen the practice orientation of continuing education,promote the in-depth integration of Chinese and Western medicine,and improve the policy guarantee mechanism,and other improvement paths,aiming to build a new type of Chinese medicine personnel training system that emphasizes both classical inheritance and modern innovation,and the complementarity between institutional education and teacher training,so as to provide a decision-making reference for the sustainable development of Chinese medicine education.
文摘Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate health education using videos and leaflets for preconception care (PCC) awareness among adolescent females up to six months after the health education. Methods: The subjects were female university students living in the Kinki area. A longitudinal survey was conducted on 67 members in the intervention group, who received the health education, and 52 members in the control group, who did not receive the health education. The primary outcome measures were knowledge of PCC and the subscales of the Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile. Surveys were conducted before, after, and six months after the intervention in the intervention group, and an initial survey and survey six months later were conducted in the control group. Cochran’s Q test, Bonferroni’s multiple comparison test, and McNemar’s test were used to analyze the knowledge of PCC data. The Health Awareness, Nutrition, and Stress Management subscales of the Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile were analyzed by paired t-test, and comparisons between the intervention and control groups were performed using the two-way repeated measures analysis of variance. Results: In the intervention group of 67 people, the number of subjects who answered “correct” for five of the nine items concerning knowledge of PCC increased immediately after the health education (P = 0.006) but decreased for five items from immediately after the health education to six months later (P = 0.043). In addition, the number of respondents who answered “correct” for “low birth weight infants and future lifestyle-related diseases” (P = 0.016) increased after six months compared with before the health education. For the 52 subjects in the control group, there was no change in the number of subjects who answered “correct” for eight out of the nine items after six months. There was also no increase in scores for the Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile after six months for either the intervention or control group. Conclusion: Providing health education about PCC using videos and leaflets to adolescent females was shown to enhance the knowledge of PCC immediately after the education.

文摘This article aims to analyze the development and shortcomings in women’s education in Asia during the past two decades.Asian women students have been subjected to numerous forms of discrimination and unequal treatment in school and the global labor market,despite the efforts of educators,politicians,and many related stakeholders.The article first critically examines several theories of globalization and education from the perspective of equity.It then analyzes several typical pieces of study on the obstacles that Asian women students encounter both before and after graduation to draw implications for future research.

文摘The integration of visual elements,such as emojis,into educational content represents a promising approach to enhancing student engagement and comprehension.However,existing efforts in emoji integration often lack systematic frameworks capable of addressing the contextual and pedagogical nuances required for effective implementation.This paper introduces a novel framework that combines Data-Driven Error-Correcting Output Codes(DECOC),Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)networks,and Multi-Layer Deep Neural Networks(ML-DNN)to identify optimal emoji placements within computer science course materials.The originality of the proposed system lies in its ability to leverage sentiment analysis techniques and contextual embeddings to align emoji recommendations with both the emotional tone and learning objectives of course content.A meticulously annotated dataset,comprising diverse topics in computer science,was developed to train and validate the model,ensuring its applicability across a wide range of educational contexts.Comprehensive validation demonstrated the system’s superior performance,achieving an accuracy of 92.4%,precision of 90.7%,recall of 89.3%,and an F1-score of 90.0%.Comparative analysis with baselinemodels and relatedworks confirms themodel’s ability tooutperformexisting approaches inbalancing accuracy,relevance,and contextual appropriateness.Beyond its technical advancements,this framework offers practical benefits for educators by providing an Artificial Intelligence-assisted(AI-assisted)tool that facilitates personalized content adaptation based on student sentiment and engagement patterns.By automating the identification of appropriate emoji placements,teachers can enhance digital course materials with minimal effort,improving the clarity of complex concepts and fostering an emotionally supportive learning environment.This paper contributes to the emerging field of AI-enhanced education by addressing critical gaps in personalized content delivery and pedagogical support.Its findings highlight the transformative potential of integrating AI-driven emoji placement systems into educational materials,offering an innovative tool for fostering student engagement and enhancing learning outcomes.The proposed framework establishes a foundation for future advancements in the visual augmentation of educational resources,emphasizing scalability and adaptability for broader applications in e-learning.
文摘Cross-cultural education plays a pivotal role in fostering mutual understanding and cultural exchange between China and Thailand.It not only nurtures talent to drive the economic and social development of both nations but also deepens their friendship and cooperation.Since 2023,the Center for Language Education and Cooperation(CLEC)under China’s Ministry of Education has partnered with the Chinese Department of the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Rangsit University(RSU)in Thailand to promote the innovative educational concept of“Chinese Plus.”This partnership resulted in the launch of the Chinese Plus Music program,with its first literacy camp officially held on November 25,2024.Rooted in the principles of mutual cultural learning and integrated arts education,the camp blends Chinese language learning with practical music training.It employs a multidimensional,highly interactive training model designed to equip Thai middle school teachers with fresh approaches to Chinese language education.
