Urban parks,as a vital component of green infrastructure,significantly contribute to alleviating the impacts of climate change and enhancing the urban ecosystem.This paper examines the EVFBS Cemetery Park in Berlin as a case study to elucidate the significant role of centralized urban greening,exemplified by urban cemetery parks,in addressing the challenges posed by urban climate change.Through field research,data collection,and various methodologies,this study examines the specific planning and design measures employed to address climate-related challenges,including air purification,temperature regulation,and mitigation of the urban heat island effect.Additionally,it explores the multifaceted roles of urban parks in enhancing the quality of the urban ecological environment,promoting biodiversity,and providing recreational spaces for residents.The aim is to elucidate the significance of diverse urban parks within the climate regulation strategies of contemporary metropolises.By comparing and discussing relevant practices and successful experiences in climate-adaptive design from Berlin,and summarizing advanced concepts and planning experiences that may serve as valuable references for the development of urban green spaces in China,it examines the significance of urban park greening for climate regulation in contemporary cities. 展开更多

With the rapid development of urbanization,landscape architecture has become an indispensable component of daily life.In order to achieve better landscape effects and protect the ecological environment,landscape ecology theory can be integrated into landscape planning to carry out disciplinary crossing and integration research between landscape ecology and landscape architecture.In this study,based on the basic theories of landscape ecology,the waterfront landscape of Dapo Town was designed,with the aim to achieve ecological balance in planning,showcase biodiversity,and create a harmonious landscape ecological environment which can benefit both nature and people.This design combined artificial and natural elements while improving the natural environment,which promoted a harmonious relationship between humans and nature,thus enriching the spatial organization of the city,and playing a role in regulating the urban environment and climate. 展开更多

Because of the development of urbankation, however, most cities have lost their balance in the ecological enviionment although they seem to have the modem flavor of life. Integrating garden design with plant protection is an important measure to protect the ecological environment and maintain ecological balance. How to protect the plants in urban garden planning and design has become a problem to be solved by garden designers. According to the study on 39 sites of rail transit Line 3 in Chongqing, the sites are classifi ed into three types: residential type, business center type, traffi c hub type in this paper. The study shows that the sites have many problems such as discordance of land use, severity of spatial segregation, low rate of site utilization. To solve these problems, development approaches of site space resources within 1,000 m around the site area are further explored. The approaches include four aspects: characteristics of land use, functional composite, walking guide and shuttle transportation.
