The molecular non-covalent interaction often originates from the electrostatic attraction and accords with the Langmuir isothermal adsorption. The sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS)-polychrome blue B (PCB)-protein [bovine serum albumin (BSA), ovalbumin (OVA) and myoglobin (MB)] ternary reaction has been investigated at pH 3.88. Protein to replace PCB from the PCB-SDBS binding product was used to characterize the assembly of an invisible-spectral compound, SDBS, on proteins by measuring the variation of PCB light-absorption by the microsurface adsorption-spectral correction (MSASQ technique. The effect of ionic strength and temperature on the aggregation was studied. Results showed that the aggregates SDBS(92)(.)BSA, SDBS(58)(.)OVA and (SDBS15MB)-M-. at 30 degreesC and SDBS(83)(.)BSA, SDBS(39)(.)OVA and (SDBS10MB)-M-. at 50 degreesC are formed. 展开更多

This paper analyses the decorative polychrome painting of architectural members(caihua)that has sur­vived in the Hall of Mental Cultivation(Yangxindian)in the Forbidden City,Beijing.Beginning with the Yongzheng emperor,the Hall of Mental Cultivation was the residence and centre of daily governance for Chinese emperors.Combining information gained through on-site surveys and scaled drawings executed during a recent conservation project with evidence from historical records and other sources,this study finds that the remaining decorative poly­chrome painting can be dated to four different historical phases:the reign of the Jiajing emperor;the late Ming and early Qing dynasties;the reign of the Qianlong emperor;and the late Qing Dynasty and beginning of the Republic of China.It reveals that the designs of decorative polychrome painting on architectural members are closely related to changes in the functions of the buildings and imperial use.As part of an investigative conservation project,the study aims to provide a reliable basis for the conservation and repair work in the next step. 展开更多

A five-channel polychromator, utilizing high performance interference filters, has been completed for Thomson scattering measurements on HT-7 tokamak. For our instrument, the range of electron temperature varies from 50 eV to 1.5 keV. According to this, the bandpass of the different interference filters are chosen. Unique features of the polychromator are high throughput, easy alignment, flexibility and compact size when compared with other alternatives. In this article, both the method of designing and the measured transmission curves for the polychromator are given. 展开更多

A 16-channel heterodyne radiometer system and a 20-channel grating polychromator, have been installed on HT-7 and EAST. A 32-channel heterodyne radiometer system, with a wider frequency coverage and better spatial resolution, is being built. In order to provide a reliable electron temperature profile, an in-situ absolute calibration system is currently being built. With the ECE measurements, study on the electron heat transport and the anomalous Doppler resonance is conducted. 展开更多
