OBJECTIVE To explore the curative effect and mechanism of Yiqi Huoxue decoction in the treatment of coronary heart disease with Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome.METHODS The patients with coronary heart disease of Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome were treated with Yiqi Huoxue decoction for 3 months, and the changes of cardiac function were observed.61 serum samples(including 29 cases of disease group and 32 cases of Yiqi Huoxue expression group)were analyzed by non labeled proteomics. The disease group was used as the control group, and the protein with expression level difference of more than 1.2 folds(P<0.05)was screened. The molecular function, biological pathway and protein interaction of the different proteins were analyzed by bioinformatics,so as to identify the molecular and biological pathway of Yiqi Huoxue decoction in the treatment of coronary heart disease with Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome.RESULTS Clinical treatment found that Yiqi Huoxue decoction can improve TCM syndrome score and left ventricular ejection fraction, regulate blood glucose and blood lipid levels, prolong thrombin time, and improve heart function. The results of proteomic quantitative analysis showed that there were 69 proteins with different expression levels in the disease group.Bioinformatics analysis results showed that Yiqi Huoxue decoction may regulate ApoA1,alpha-2 and other proteins to act on HDL assembly, platelet degradation,PI3K Akt signaling pathway, and then play a therapeutic role in coronary heart disease with Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome.CONCLUSION Yiqi Huoxue decoction can effectively improved the heart function decline caused by Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome of coronary heart disease. It mainly act on energy metabolism and platelet activation pathway by activating HDL assembly and platelet degradation signal pathway proteins. This study can provide reference for the follow-up treatment mechanism of Qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome of coronary heart disease. 展开更多

Cancer-related anemia is a common complication in patients with a malignant tumor caused by the tumor itself or the tumor's treatment. It can seriously affect the quality of life of patients and even accelerate the progression of the tumor.Western medicine is often given a blood transfusion, erythropoietin, and iron agent in cancer-related anemia treatment, but there are also some problems such as increasing tumor-related mortality.Traditional Chinese medicine believes that cancer-related anemia's occurrence is related to the“Deficiency of Spleen and Kidney and Deficiency of Qi and Blood”,so clinical treatment is mainly to“Tonify Spleen and Kidney and Qi and Blood”.The combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine is useful in cancer-related anemia's treatment, which provides a new idea and method for cancer-related anemia's clinical treatment. 展开更多

Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury(CIRI) refers to a pathological phenomenon that aggravates the injury after the restoration of blood perfusion and oxygen supply to the cerebral ischemia-induced tissues and organs, with a relatively high incidence. The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) believes that Qi deficiency and blood stasis are the cause of CIRI. Therefore, Chinese medicine for tonifying Qi and activating blood is regarded as an important choice for the treatment of CIRI. In recent years, it has been found that many Chinese herbal medical ingredients and compound Chinese medicine(CCM) have significant anti-CIRI effects, and their mechanisms of action mainly include improving brain blood supply, neuroprotection, regulating signal pathways such as TLR4/HO-1/Bcl-2, protecting mitochondrial function, regulating related protein levels, and regulating oxidative molecule levels. This article summarizes and introduces the pharmacological mechanisms of Tonifying-Qi and activating-blood Chinese medicine and CCM which have the function of anti-CIRI. Our goal is to provide effective reference for further researches on the cerebral protection of related TCMs or compounds and their clinical application. 展开更多

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of traditional Chinese herbs on heart failure(HF)using nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)metabolomics. Methods:Plasma metabolomics was conducted on both patients with HF and healthy controls. The partial least squares model was applied to determine potential metabolic markers and related metabolic pathways of the disease.HF patients with the traditional Chinese syndrome pattern of qi deficiency and blood stasis were divided into two groups, and treated, respectively, with conventional medicine and a combination of conventional and Chinese herbs, aimed at tonifying qi and activating blood.Healthy participants served as a control group for comparison. Results and conclusion:Both conventional and herbal treatments appear to regulate disorders of amino acid and glucose metabolism.Combined treatment appears to be more comprehensive, indicating that herbal and conventional medicines exert their effects through different mechanisms in treating HF.It can be further inferred that herbs that tonify qi and activate blood may regulate different essential metabolites. 展开更多

Objective:Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of cross-shaped moxibustion on the conception vessel and belt vessel for dysmenorrhea due to qi and blood deficiency. Methods:Taking Shenque(神阙CV8)as the center,up to Zhongwan(中脘CV12),down to Zhongji(中极CV3),and both sides to Daimai(带脉GB26),the above mentioned were treated area. The patient’s umbilicus was filled with the herbal powder for moxibustion and the powder was also scattered in a straight line along the treated area. The two sheets of mulberry paper were put in a cross way on the herbal powder for moxibustion, and the cross-shaped moxibustion box was put on the paper. The ginger paste was put into the box to a height of 3 cm and pressed tightly with a tongue depressor, the margin of the ginger paste should be clinged to the moxibustion box.The moxa cones were put end to end in the groove on the median of the ginger paste and ignited orderly. When the cones were burnt completely, the new cones were used and ignited.Three cones were adopted in succession in each treatment. The treatment was given once a week, and three treatments as one course, the therapeutic effect was evaluated after two courses of treatment. Results:There were 16 cases cured,5 cases effective and 2 cases non-effective in all.The total effective rate was 91.3%.Conclusion:Coss-shaped moxibustion on the conception vessel and belt vessel has sound effect for dysmenorrhea due to qi and blood deficiency. 展开更多
