BACKGROUND Vestibular dysfunction(VH)is a common concomitant symptom of late peri-pheral vestibular lesions,which can be trauma,poisoning,infection,heredity,and neurodegeneration,but about 50%of the causes are unknown...BACKGROUND Vestibular dysfunction(VH)is a common concomitant symptom of late peri-pheral vestibular lesions,which can be trauma,poisoning,infection,heredity,and neurodegeneration,but about 50%of the causes are unknown.The study uses the information-motivation-behavioral skills(IMB)model for health education,effectively improve the quality of life,increase their self-confidence,reduce anxiety and depression,and effectively improve the psychological state of patients.AIM To explore the effect of health education based on the IMB model on the degree of vertigo,disability,anxiety and depression in patients with unilateral vestibular hypofunction.METHODS The clinical data of 80 patients with unilateral vestibular hypofunction from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected as the retrospective research objects,and they were divided into the control group and the observation group with 40 cases in each group according to different nursing methods.Among them,the control group was given routine nursing health education and guidance,and the observation group was given health education and guidance based on the IMB model.The changes in self-efficacy,anxiety and depression,and quality of life of patients with unilateral VH were compared between the two groups.RESULTS There was no significant difference in General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)scale scores between the two groups of patients before nursing(P>0.05),which was comparable;after nursing,the GSES scale scores of the two groups were higher than those before nursing.The nursing group was higher than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the scores of Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS)and anxiety and depression subscales between the two groups before nursing(P>0.05).After nursing,the HADS score,anxiety,and depression subscale scores of the two groups of patients were lower than those before nursing,and the nursing group was lower than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After nursing,the Dizziness Handicap Inventory(DHI)scale and DHI-P,DHI-E and DHI-F scores in the two groups were decreased,and the scores in the nursing group were lower than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Health education based on the IMB model can effectively improve patients'quality of life,increase self-efficacy of patients with unilateral vestibular hypofunction,enhance patients'confidence,enable patients to resume normal work and life as soon as possible,reduce patients'anxiety and depression,and effectively improve patients'psychological status.展开更多
Adolescents are considered one of the most vulnerable groups affected by suicide.Rapid changes in adolescents’physical and mental states,as well as in their lives,significantly and undeniably increase the risk of sui...Adolescents are considered one of the most vulnerable groups affected by suicide.Rapid changes in adolescents’physical and mental states,as well as in their lives,significantly and undeniably increase the risk of suicide.Psychological,social,family,individual,and environmental factors are important risk factors for suicidal behavior among teenagers and may contribute to suicide risk through various direct,indirect,or combined pathways.Social-emotional learning is considered a powerful intervention measure for addressing the crisis of adolescent suicide.When deliberately cultivated,fostered,and enhanced,selfawareness,self-management,social awareness,interpersonal skills,and responsible decision-making,as the five core competencies of social-emotional learning,can be used to effectively target various risk factors for adolescent suicide and provide necessary mental and interpersonal support.Among numerous suicide intervention methods,school-based interventions based on social-emotional competence have shown great potential in preventing and addressing suicide risk factors in adolescents.The characteristics of school-based interventions based on social-emotional competence,including their appropriateness,necessity,cost-effectiveness,comprehensiveness,and effectiveness,make these interventions an important means of addressing the crisis of adolescent suicide.To further determine the potential of school-based interventions based on social-emotional competence and better address the issue of adolescent suicide,additional financial support should be provided,the combination of socialemotional learning and other suicide prevention programs within schools should be fully leveraged,and cooperation between schools and families,society,and other environments should be maximized.These efforts should be considered future research directions.展开更多

Methods: The study used the experimental control method. The study lasted from September to November 2022. The subjects of this study were 49 students of standardized training for resident doctors of traditional Chinese Medicine from grades 2020, 2021 and 2022 of Dazhou integrated TCM & Western Medicine Hospital. They were randomly divided into experiment group (25) and control group (24). The experiment group adopted flipped classroom combined with problem-based learning teaching method, and the control group adopted traditional teaching method. The teaching content was 4 basic clinical skill projects, including four diagnoses of traditional Chinese Medicine, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, dressing change procedure, acupuncture and massage. The evaluation method was carried out by comparing the students’ performance and a self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the students’ evaluation of the teaching method. Results: The test scores of total scores in the experimental group (90.12 ± 5.89) were all higher than those in the control group (81.47 ± 7.96) (t = 4.53, P P Conclusions: The teaching process of the flipped classroom combined with problem-based learning teaching method is conducive to improving the efficiency of classroom teaching, cultivating students’ self-learning ability, and enhancing students’ willingness to learn.展开更多

Rehabilitation draws together the most varied professional teams treating patients from a range of specialists, and physical therapists generally receive very little intra-workplace skills training. The aim of this paper is to develop the first of a two-part educational model that is useful for the professional development of therapists working in rehabilitation medicine, by incorporating, at least, Shared Decision-Making and Narrative-Based Medicine. The most productive systems of analysis are Bloom’s psychomotor taxonomy and the Japanese DIKW system. The Japanese DIKW model of “chishin”, which is based on Data, Information, Knowledge, and Wisdom, is similar to the professional attitude and rehabilitative mindset in the healthcare system, the convalescent rehabilitation wards. The individual, departmental, and hospital levels could all benefit from aspects of these systems. Rehabilitative medicine in Japanese terms is presented as a holistic medical care that heals the body and mind and restores dignity, such as personality and self-confidence, and it is also a place where unique Japanese cultural concepts such as “Ikigai” (reason to live) and “Omotenashi” (hospitality) can be nurtured as professional awareness.展开更多

Materials and methods: It was an analytical cross-sectional study that took place from 1 to 28 February 2020 at the Yalgado Ouedraogo Teaching Hospital in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The study population was made up of medical students at the Doctorate II level. The previous experience of the students in the obstetric examination of the parturient, the contribution of the simulation on their feelings and on their skills towards this examination were studied. The Mc Nemar Chi<sup>2</sup> test was used to compare percentages on paired samples. Results: The level of difficulty in performing the obstetrical examination in the parturient evolved downwards after the practice of the simulation. The stress level to perform the obstetric exam has been significantly reduced. On the other hand, confidence has increased. The students’ ability to appreciate each of the elements of the obstetric examination studied had improved after the practice of simulation. Conclusion: The simulation in the skills laboratory was a great contribution and the acquisition of models of better fidelity would help to improve the contribution to the confidence building and the acquisition of skills by learners.展开更多

The basic educational model proposed here is my seven-step process model of rehabilitation practice. Knowledge consists of four aspects: 1) clinical, 2) psychological, 3) environmental, and 4) disability;skills consist of two steps: 5) identifying intervention points and 6) setting feasible goals;and attitudes 7) of communicating and sharing policies and paths with patients, families, and other professionals. This constitutes the process of rehabilitation practice, and a framework that integrates the three elements is developed here. This study focuses on integrating knowledge, skills, and attitudes into what Bloom described as “the integration of instruction and assessment” so that learners and instructors can reconcile them. Therefore, a typology that explains each other for advancing and deepening individual skills is adopted. In Bloom’s original taxonomy of educational goals, the cognitive domain has five layers in the pyramid of knowledge;the psychomotor domain of Simpson’s has seven layers, and Bloom’s affective domain is represented by five in another pyramid. Ther...Objective: “Basic Nursing Skills Practice” is a key course connecting classroom and clinical teaching in nursing specialty teaching. Nursing practice ability is one of the core abilities of nurse practitioners. Therefore, the teaching quality of this course is directly related to the quality of nursing work. To improve the teaching quality of practical course, the assessment reform of the “Basic Nursing Skills Practice” course was carried out among the nursing undergraduates to explore a reasonable and fair assessment mechanism. Method: In the assessment of “Basic Nursing Skills Practice” course, the assessment included individual skill operation assessment, virtual simulation assessment and team comprehensive skill assessment. The assessment proportion was adjusted from 100% for the final examination to 50% for the middle and final examinations respectively. The assessment method was changed from individual skills assessment at the end of the term to a combination of individual skills assessment at the midterm and virtual simulation assessment and team skills assessment at the end of the term. The method has changed from summative evaluation to a combination of formative evaluation and summative evaluation, and self-made questionnaire was used to investigate the effect. Results: After implementing the assessment reform, 86.84% of the students were satisfied with the assessment reform, and the percentage of students with scores above 80 reached 100%. The highest score is 93.0, while the lowest score is 83.0, and the average score was 88.0. Conclusions: High satisfaction of students with basic nursing skills examination reform promoted the learning effectiveness and professional emotions, cultivated comprehensive quality and ability, promoted the realization of talent training objectives.展开更多
Numeracy is the capacity to use mathematical ideas in all facets of life.It involves activities such as adding and subtracting numbers,counting,number recognition,solving number problems involving various operations,s...Numeracy is the capacity to use mathematical ideas in all facets of life.It involves activities such as adding and subtracting numbers,counting,number recognition,solving number problems involving various operations,sorting,observing,identifying,and establishing patterns.It is one of the fundamental skills that students should have mastered by the end of their primary schooling.With the notable importance of mastery of numeracy skills,low achievement and performance of the learners were observed in this aspect.This study aimed in enhancing the numeracy skills of Grade 3 learners through authentic performance tasks.The variable in numeracy skills includes the four fundamental operations and problem solving.The quasi-experimental design was utilized wherein purposive sampling or non-randomized sampling was used.In this study,33 Grade 3 learners of Rizal Elementary School were selected to participate in the tests.Pre-test and post-test crafted by the teacher were the main instrument in the study.The result revealed that in the pre-test the learners obtained a mean percentage score(MPS)of 38.20%in four fundamental operations,which implied a non-numerate level.While in terms of problem solving,the learners obtained a MPS of 20.60%which is also in the non-numerate level.It has a grand mean of 29.40%with an interpretation of non-numerate level.In the post-test,it was observed that four fundamental operations have a MPS of 81.10%which is in average numerate level,while problem solving has a MPS of 76.30%with a grand mean of 78.70%with an interpretation of average numerate level.This implied that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test in the four fundamental operations and problem solving.Thus,it can be concluded that the application of authentic performance tasks was effective to bridge the gap on numeracy skills.展开更多

The subjects of this study were 49 students of standardized training for resident doctors of traditional Chinese Medicine from grades 2020, 2021 and 2022 of Dazhou integrated TCM & Western Medicine Hospital. They were randomly divided into experiment group (25) and control group (24). The experiment group adopted flipped classroom combined with problem-based learning teaching method, and the control group adopted traditional teaching method. The teaching content was 4 basic clinical skill projects, including four diagnoses of traditional Chinese Medicine, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, dressing change procedure, acupuncture and massage. The evaluation method was carried out by comparing the students’ performance and a self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the students’ evaluation of the teaching method. Results: The test scores of total scores in the experimental group (90.12 ± 5.89) were all higher than those in the control group (81.47 ± 7.96) (t = 4.53, P P Conclusions: The teaching process of the flipped classroom combined with problem-based learning teaching method is conducive to improving the efficiency of classroom teaching, cultivating students’ self-learning ability, and enhancing students’ willingness to learn.

This study discussed definition of cybercrime, cybercrime categories as well as comparison between traditional criminal techniques and cybercrime. As the abilities and skills required for detectives to investigate cybercrime have been discussed. Additionally, literature review and related work, was addressed challenges role of the police in combating cybercrime and facing cybercrime policing. We proposed the main tool in the study which is “Checklist of essential skills for a cybercrime investigator”. 文摘Japan has an advanced healthcare system, on par with any developed country;at the same time, it is challenged by a rapidly aging population. In line with other countries, medical and paramedical training differs from college or university to when the graduates start working in the hospital wards;it seems like a new career to freshmen. Rehabilitation draws together the most varied professional teams treating patients from a range of specialists, and physical therapists generally receive very little intra-workplace skills training. The aim of this paper is to develop the first of a two-part educational model that is useful for the professional development of therapists working in rehabilitation medicine, by incorporating, at least, Shared Decision-Making and Narrative-Based Medicine. The most productive systems of analysis are Bloom’s psychomotor taxonomy and the Japanese DIKW system. The Japanese DIKW model of “chishin”, which is based on Data, Information, Knowledge, and Wisdom, is similar to the professional attitude and rehabilitative mindset in the healthcare system, the convalescent rehabilitation wards. The individual, departmental, and hospital levels could all benefit from aspects of these systems. Rehabilitative medicine in Japanese terms is presented as a holistic medical care that heals the body and mind and restores dignity, such as personality and self-confidence, and it is also a place where unique Japanese cultural concepts such as “Ikigai” (reason to live) and “Omotenashi” (hospitality) can be nurtured as professional awareness.
文摘Objective: To evaluate the interest of the simulation in the learning of the obstetric examination of parturient by medical students. Materials and methods: It was an analytical cross-sectional study that took place from 1 to 28 February 2020 at the Yalgado Ouedraogo Teaching Hospital in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The study population was made up of medical students at the Doctorate II level. The previous experience of the students in the obstetric examination of the parturient, the contribution of the simulation on their feelings and on their skills towards this examination were studied. The Mc Nemar Chi<sup>2</sup> test was used to compare percentages on paired samples. Results: The level of difficulty in performing the obstetrical examination in the parturient evolved downwards after the practice of the simulation. The stress level to perform the obstetric exam has been significantly reduced. On the other hand, confidence has increased. The students’ ability to appreciate each of the elements of the obstetric examination studied had improved after the practice of simulation. Conclusion: The simulation in the skills laboratory was a great contribution and the acquisition of models of better fidelity would help to improve the contribution to the confidence building and the acquisition of skills by learners.

This study focuses on integrating knowledge, skills, and attitudes into what Bloom described as “the integration of instruction and assessment” so that learners and instructors can reconcile them. In Bloom’s original taxonomy of educational goals, the cognitive domain has five layers in the pyramid of knowledge;the psychomotor domain of Simpson’s has seven layers, and Bloom’s affective domain is represented by five in another pyramid. In addition, the above seven layers of the process model and the seven layers of the skill level of the Dreyfus model were brought together. The integration of the above five typologies becomes a useful educational evaluation model when the relationships are clarified.

文摘The foundations for an adult’s authentic and durable dedication in sport or in any kind of motor activity are laid by providing a good quality physical education.This means that the choice of learning experiences to be imparted to the child throughout his or her school curriculum,starting from kindergarten,is important and must be not only planned,inclusive and progressive but also,in some way,personalised.In other words,lessons must respond to the children’s needs in order to enhance their motor skills and abilities and their social skills and to give an input on how to lead a physically active life,thus keeping basic motor skills alive.The research involved the administration of the Mobak 5-6 Test on a convenience sample of 31 children(f=12,m=19),aged 10-12 years,in order to analyse the basic motor skills of a group of young athletes.An individual qualitative and quantitative motor repertoire must therefore be built,allowing the child to be able to take the opportunities offered to him or her in both curricular and extracurricular scholastic field.These motor skills,with which the child is provided,will also be useful for cultivating correct physical activity habits in later life and must be formed through systematic evaluation of the development of his or her motor skills.

文摘Mobile-assisted language learning(MALL)has been regarded as an excellent tool in the field of language acquisition as modern technology develops.The popularity of using mobile devices in education makes it possible for people to learn languages through platforms like tablets and smartphones from anywhere and at any time.However,the application of MALL in a collaborative student-centered environment has received comparatively little attention.Since spoken fluency and vocabulary size are the two crucial components of language proficiency,this study aims to investigate if young learners can improve their native language level through learning online beyond the classroom.The quantitative data reveal that MALL does make a difference in students’linguistic skills.The results show that the incorporation of mobile applications into language learning could better help learners achieve the learning outcomes and improve their communication skills than simply using conventional methods.In addition,the data of the questionnaire exposed some issues that need to be continuously improved.The viable suggestions are also discussed to share ideas about building a more sustainable learning environment in a data-driven age.

文摘One of the major problems in the education sector is the reading skills of learners.Students enrolled in the Alternative Learning System(ALS)also experienced this scenario due to several circumstances.This study focused on the improvement of reading comprehension skills of ALS learners by means of project RICE(Reading Intervention and Comprehension Enhancement)as well as the issues and challenges.A quasi-experimental design was utilized in this study which was participated by 54 learners,composed of 27 learners under the experimental group and 27 under the control group.The result revealed that the learners in the experimental group changed from frustration level to instructional level after the implementation of project RICE while the learners in the control group changed from instructional level to inde-pendent level,thereby signifying a significant difference and the effectiveness of the project.Additionally,issues with time and resources were often encountered by the learners.
文摘Objective: “Basic Nursing Skills Practice” is a key course connecting classroom and clinical teaching in nursing specialty teaching. Nursing practice ability is one of the core abilities of nurse practitioners. Therefore, the teaching quality of this course is directly related to the quality of nursing work. To improve the teaching quality of practical course, the assessment reform of the “Basic Nursing Skills Practice” course was carried out among the nursing undergraduates to explore a reasonable and fair assessment mechanism. Method: In the assessment of “Basic Nursing Skills Practice” course, the assessment included individual skill operation assessment, virtual simulation assessment and team comprehensive skill assessment. The assessment proportion was adjusted from 100% for the final examination to 50% for the middle and final examinations respectively. The assessment method was changed from individual skills assessment at the end of the term to a combination of individual skills assessment at the midterm and virtual simulation assessment and team skills assessment at the end of the term. The method has changed from summative evaluation to a combination of formative evaluation and summative evaluation, and self-made questionnaire was used to investigate the effect. Results: After implementing the assessment reform, 86.84% of the students were satisfied with the assessment reform, and the percentage of students with scores above 80 reached 100%. The highest score is 93.0, while the lowest score is 83.0, and the average score was 88.0. Conclusions: High satisfaction of students with basic nursing skills examination reform promoted the learning effectiveness and professional emotions, cultivated comprehensive quality and ability, promoted the realization of talent training objectives.
文摘Numeracy is the capacity to use mathematical ideas in all facets of life.It involves activities such as adding and subtracting numbers,counting,number recognition,solving number problems involving various operations,sorting,observing,identifying,and establishing patterns.It is one of the fundamental skills that students should have mastered by the end of their primary schooling.With the notable importance of mastery of numeracy skills,low achievement and performance of the learners were observed in this aspect.This study aimed in enhancing the numeracy skills of Grade 3 learners through authentic performance tasks.The variable in numeracy skills includes the four fundamental operations and problem solving.The quasi-experimental design was utilized wherein purposive sampling or non-randomized sampling was used.In this study,33 Grade 3 learners of Rizal Elementary School were selected to participate in the tests.Pre-test and post-test crafted by the teacher were the main instrument in the study.The result revealed that in the pre-test the learners obtained a mean percentage score(MPS)of 38.20%in four fundamental operations,which implied a non-numerate level.While in terms of problem solving,the learners obtained a MPS of 20.60%which is also in the non-numerate level.It has a grand mean of 29.40%with an interpretation of non-numerate level.In the post-test,it was observed that four fundamental operations have a MPS of 81.10%which is in average numerate level,while problem solving has a MPS of 76.30%with a grand mean of 78.70%with an interpretation of average numerate level.This implied that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test in the four fundamental operations and problem solving.Thus,it can be concluded that the application of authentic performance tasks was effective to bridge the gap on numeracy skills.
