Tracking apps that have been adopted in many countries to...The literary review presented in the following paper aims to analyze the tracking tools used in different countries during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tracking apps that have been adopted in many countries to collect data in a homogeneous and immediate way have made up for the difficulty of collecting data and standardizing evaluation criteria. However, the regulation on the protection of personal data in the health sector and the adoption of the new General Data Protection Regulation in European countries has placed a strong limitation on their use. This has not been the case in non-European countries, where monitoring methodologies have become widespread. The textual analysis presented is based on co-occurrence and multiple correspondence analysis to show the contact tracing methods adopted in different countries in the pandemic period by relating them to the issue of privacy. It also analyzed the possibility of applying Blockchain technology in applications for tracking contagions from COVID-19 and managing health data to provide a high level of security and transparency, including through anonymization, thus increasing user trust in using the apps.展开更多

The Internet revolution has resulted in abundant data from various sources,including social media,traditional media,etcetera.Although the availability of data is no longer an issue,data labelling for exploiting it in ...The Internet revolution has resulted in abundant data from various sources,including social media,traditional media,etcetera.Although the availability of data is no longer an issue,data labelling for exploiting it in supervised machine learning is still an expensive process and involves tedious human efforts.The overall purpose of this study is to propose a strategy to automatically label the unlabeled textual data with the support of active learning in combination with deep learning.More specifically,this study assesses the performance of different active learning strategies in automatic labelling of the textual dataset at sentence and document levels.To achieve this objective,different experiments have been performed on the publicly available dataset.In first set of experiments,we randomly choose a subset of instances from training dataset and train a deep neural network to assess performance on test set.In the second set of experiments,we replace the random selection with different active learning strategies to choose a subset of the training dataset to train the same model and reassess its performance on test set.The experimental results suggest that different active learning strategies yield performance improvement of 7% on document level datasets and 3%on sentence level datasets for auto labelling.展开更多

This study investigates the relationship between the tone of financial disclosures and managers’earnings management behavior using Form 20-F filings of Chinese firms listed in the U.S.during 2002–2014.The results sh...This study investigates the relationship between the tone of financial disclosures and managers’earnings management behavior using Form 20-F filings of Chinese firms listed in the U.S.during 2002–2014.The results show that the proportion of positive,uncertain,or modal words used in financial disclosures is positively related to corporate earnings management,implying that managers attempt to conceal earnings management behavior by manipulating the tone of their financial reports.In addition,robustness tests are conducted using an alternative proxy for earnings management that considers the effects of the financial crisis and separately examines the information and non-information technology industries.The results suggest that the tone used in financial disclosures has informative value,and textual analysis can be an effective tool for identifying earnings management.展开更多

文摘The herbal textual research of Inulae Flos was carried out from the aspects of name,origin,habit and distribution,nature and flavor,meridian,efficacy and indications by referring to ancient Chinese herbal books and different editions of Pharmacopoeia of People’s Republic of China.After textual research,Inulae Flos has been named as"Inulae Flos"since Shennong Bencaojing(Shennong’s Herbal Classic).Its original plant is Inula japonica Thunb.or I.britannica L.,which is easy to multiply and widely distributed.Inulae Flos is used medically with clean and dry capitulum,and there is also honey-burning method.The description of Inulae Flos in Pharmacopoeia of People’s Republic of China,such as nature and flavor,meridian,efficacy and indications,is generally consistent with the records in traditional herbal books.
文摘The purpose of this study is to identify the specifics of opera libretto in the context of intertextual relationships.The implementation of this goal involves the following tasks:Determining the intertextual nature of the opera libretto;Analyzing the structural laws of the text of the literary source and how they are transformed in the opera libretto.Libretto as the phenomenon of musical culture requires a multidimensional knowledge of the modern humanities.This requires overcoming a highly specialized approach,be it musicological or literary,and a transition to a comprehensive cultural analysis.To solve the problems posed in the work,this study employs the following methods:Integrative,enabling application of the knowledge gained through various sciences to the solution of the tasks posed in this study.
