Using brain thromboplastin with calcium and rabbit brain cephalosporin ad kaolin respectively the experiment aimed at demonstrating the effect of chloroquine with purity of 99.79% and naphthoquinone with purity of 97.00%, upon a three-day intraperitoneal administration at concentrations of 0.1 mg/kg, 0.5 mg/kg, 1.0 mg/kg and 2.0 mg/kg. Result showed that the APTT and PT of naphthoquinone at 2.0 mg/kg, were 196.67 seconds, and 67.63 seconds respectively, while the APTT and PT of chloroquine were 3.63 seconds and 1.40 seconds respectively for the same concentration. Also, naphthoquinone showed lower APTT but sustained PT at concentrations below 1.50 mg/kg whereas both APTT and PT increased from concentrations above 1.50 mg/kg. On the other hand chloroquine showed a lowered APTT between 0.00 to 0.15 mg/kg while PT was sustained, but both APTT and PT increased from concentration of 0.15 mg/kg gradually. This study conclusively showed that chloroquine has a shorter APTT and PT than naphthoquinones, even though they elicited similar actions. Apart from this, naphthoquinone and chloroquine belonging to the same family, naphthoquinone could be more toxic than chloroquine at the dosages equivalent to 1.50 mg/kg, therefore, any administration of naphthoquinone above this dosage should be closely monitored to avoid any form of danger to the patient.展开更多

Recent advances in the laserbased pump-probe interrogation techniques have made possible the temporal resolution of ultrafast electronic processes on the attosecond timescale, including photoionization and tunneling ionization. These interrogation techniques include the attosecond streak camera, the reconstruction of attosecond beating by interference of two-photon transitions, and the attoclock. While the former two are usually employed to study photoionization processes, the latter is typically used to investigate tunneling ionization. In this review, we briefly overview these timing techniques towards an attosecond temporal resolution of ionization processes in atoms and molecules under intense laser fields. In particular, we review the backpropagation method, which is a novel hybrid quantum-classical approach towards the full characterization of tunneling ionization dynamics. Continued advances in the interrogation techniques promise to pave the pathway towards the exploration of ever faster dynamical processes on an ever shorter timescale.展开更多

This duality is referred to as the field-particle of time (FPT). The analysis shows that when the FPT moves through matter, it causes time dilation. The FPT is also a significant element that appears in relativistic kinetic energy (KE = (γ - 1) · mc2). Accelerating matter to near the speed of light requires relativistic energy approaching infinity, which corresponds to the relativistic kinetic energy. Meanwhile, the potential energy (PE = mc2) from the rest mass remains constant. Then, the mass-energy equation can be rearranged in terms of PE and KE, as shown in E = (1 + (γ - 1)) · mc2. The relativistic energy of the FPT also directly affects the gravitational attraction of matter. It transfers energy to each other through spacetime. The analysis demonstrates that the gravitational force is inversely proportional to the distance squared, following Newton’s law of gravity, and it varies with the relative velocity of matter. The relationship equation between relative time and the gravitational constant indicates that a higher intensity of the gravitational field leads to a slower reference time for matter, in accordance with the general theory of relativity. A thought experiment presents a comparison of two atomic clocks placed in different locations. The first one is placed in a room temperature, around 25°C, on the surface of the Earth, and the second one is placed in high-density areas. The analysis, considering the presence of the FPT, shows that the reference time slows down in high-density areas. Therefore, the second clock must be noticeably slower than the first one, indicating the existence of the FPT passing through both atomic clocks at different speeds.展开更多

Five different aspect ratios of elliptical vessels were designed to compare their mixing time and flow field. Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulations were performed using the k–ε model to calculate the mixing time and simulate turbulent flow field features, such as streamline shape, velocity distribution, vortex core region distribution, and turbulent kinetic energy(TKE) transfer. Visualization was also carried out to track the tinctorial evolution of the liquid phase. Results reveal that elliptical stirred tanks can significantly improve mixing performance in USTs. Specifically, the mixing time at an aspect ratio of 2.00 is only 45.3% of the one of a circular stirred tank. Furthermore, the secondary flow is strengthened and the vortex core region increases with the increase of aspect ratio. The axial velocity is more sensitive to the aspect ratio than the circumferential and radial velocity. Additionally, the TKE transfer in elliptical vessels is altered. These findings suggest that elliptical vessels offer a promising alternative to circular vessels for enhancing mixing performance in USTs.展开更多

Conventional CTS always features a centralized network topology, which means that the CTS is accompanied by a local master clock. This largely restricts the stability and reliability of the CTS. We simulate the restriction and analyze the influence of the master clock on the CTS. It proves that the CTS's long-term stability is also positively related to that of the master clock, until the region dominated by the frequency drift of the H-maser(averaging time longer than ~10~5s).Aiming at this restriction, a real-time clock network is utilized. Based on the network, a real-time CTS referenced by a stable remote master clock is achieved. The experiment comparing two real-time CTSs referenced by a local and a remote master clock respectively reveals that under open-loop steering, the stability of the CTS is improved by referencing to a remote and more stable master clock instead of a local and less stable master clock. In this way, with the help of the proposed scheme, the CTS can be referenced to the most stable master clock within the network in real time, no matter whether it is local or remote, making democratic polycentric timekeeping possible.展开更多

Temporal convolutional networks (TCNs) based on dilated causal convolution have been widely used in time series forecasting. However, two problems weaken the performance of TCNs. One is that in dilated casual convolution, causal convolution leads to the receptive fields of outputs being concentrated in the earlier part of the input sequence, whereas the recent input information will be severely lost. The other is that the distribution shift problem in time series has not been adequately solved. To address the first problem, we propose a subsequence-based dilated convolution method (SDC). By using multiple convolutional filters to convolve elements of neighboring subsequences, the method extracts temporal features from a growing receptive field via a growing subsequence rather than a single element. Ultimately, the receptive field of each output element can cover the whole input sequence. To address the second problem, we propose a difference and compensation method (DCM). The method reduces the discrepancies between and within the input sequences by difference operations and then compensates the outputs for the information lost due to difference operations. Based on SDC and DCM, we further construct a temporal subsequence-based convolutional network with difference (TSCND) for time series forecasting. The experimental results show that TSCND can reduce prediction mean squared error by 7.3% and save runtime, compared with state-of-the-art models and vanilla TCN.展开更多

There is research that supports the use of electronic records as a tool to speed documentation;and research that found that it is time consuming. The purpose of this quantitative retrospective before-after project was to measure the impact of using the laboratory value flowsheet within the EHR on documentation time. The research question was: “Does the use of a laboratory value flowsheet in the EHR impact documentation time by primary care providers (PCPs)?” The theoretical framework utilized in this project was the Donabedian Model. The population in this research was the two PCPs in a small primary care clinic in the northwest of Puerto Rico. The sample was composed of all the encounters during the months of October 2019 and December 2019. The data was obtained through data mining and analyzed using SPSS 27. The evaluative outcome of this project is that there is a decrease in documentation time after implementation of the use of the laboratory value flowsheet in the EHR. However, patients per day increase therefore having an impact on the number of patients seen per day/week/month. The implications for clinical practice include the use of templates to improve workflow and documentation as well as decreasing documentation time while also increasing the number of patients seen per day. .展开更多

文摘Glanzmann’s thrombasthenia(GT)is an inherited autosomal recessive bleeding disorder, resulting from mutations in the ITGA2B and ITGB3 genes, that lead to a defect in the platelet membrane integrinαIIbβ3.[1]As integrinαIIbβ3 plays an important role in thrombus formation, the clinical manifestation of GT includes bleeding(mostly mucocutaneous)and purpura. For this reason, patients with GT are typically thought to be unlikely to suffer from thromboembolic incidents.Antithrombin is an anticoagulant that inhibits thrombin and is activated factor X and other serine proteases in the coagulation cascade.[2]Antithrombin deficiency is an autosomal dominant hereditary disease with an approximate prevalence of 1/500 in the overall population.[3]In contrast to the hemorrhagic tendency of GT,patients with antithrombin deficiency are at increased risk of thromboembolism, especially in the venous system.Herein,we describe a rare case of GT and antithrombin deficiency coexisting in a single patient.Rivaroxaban was used for the treatment of pulmonary embolism(PE)and deep vein thrombosis(DVT).

文摘Recent studies have mostly focused on engraftment of cells at the lesioned spinal cord, with the expectation that differentiated neurons facilitate recovery.Only a few studies have attempted to use transplanted cells and/or biomaterials as major modulators of the spinal cord injury microenvironment. Here,we aimed to investigate the role of microenvironment modulation by cell graft on functional recovery after spinal cord injury.Induced neural stem cells reprogrammed from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells,and/or thrombin plus fibrinogen, were transplanted into the lesion site of an immunosuppressed rat spinal cord injury model.Basso,Beattie and Bresnahan score, electrophysiological function, and immunofluorescence/histological analyses showed that transplantation facilitates motor and electrophysiological function, reduces lesion volume, and promotes axonal neurofilament expression at the lesion core.Examination of the graft and niche components revealed that although the graft only survived for a relatively short period(up to 15 days),it still had a crucial impact on the microenvironment.Altogether, induced neural stem cells and human fibrin reduced the number of infiltrated immune cells, biased microglia towards a regenerative M2 phenotype, and changed the cytokine expression profile at the lesion site.Graft-induced changes of the microenvironment during the acute and subacute stages might have disrupted the inflammatory cascade chain reactions, which may have exerted a long-term impact on the functional recovery of spinal cord injury rats.

文摘Electronic processes within atoms and molecules reside on the timescale of attoseconds. Continued advances in the interrogation techniques promise to pave the pathway towards the exploration of ever faster dynamical processes on an ever shorter timescale.

文摘In the fast-evolving landscape of digital networks, the incidence of network intrusions has escalated alarmingly.Simultaneously, the crucial role of time series data in intrusion detection remains largely underappreciated, with most systems failing to capture the time-bound nuances of network traffic. This leads to compromised detection accuracy and overlooked temporal patterns.Addressing this gap,we introduce a novel SSAE-TCN-BiLSTM(STL)model that integrates time series analysis, significantly enhancing detection capabilities. Our approach reduces feature dimensionalitywith a Stacked Sparse Autoencoder(SSAE)and extracts temporally relevant features through a Temporal Convolutional Network(TCN)and Bidirectional Long Short-term Memory Network(Bi-LSTM).By meticulously adjusting time steps,we underscore the significance of temporal data in bolstering detection accuracy. On the UNSW-NB15 dataset, ourmodel achieved an F1-score of 99.49%,Accuracy of 99.43%,Precision of 99.38%,Recall of 99.60%,and an inference time of 4.24 s.For the CICDS2017 dataset,we recorded an F1-score of 99.53%,Accuracy of 99.62%,Precision of 99.27%,Recall of 99.79%,and an inference time of 5.72 s.These findings not only confirm the STL model’s superior performance but also its operational efficiency, underpinning its significance in real-world cybersecurity scenarios where rapid response is paramount. Our contribution represents a significant advance in cybersecurity, proposing a model that excels in accuracy and adaptability to the dynamic nature of network traffic, setting a new benchmark for intrusion detection systems.
文摘This paper presents a hypothesis regarding the existence of time fused in spacetime, assuming that time possesses the properties of both a particle and a field. Therefore, the second clock must be noticeably slower than the first one, indicating the existence of the FPT passing through both atomic clocks at different speeds.
文摘Background:Prolonged sitting and reduced physical activity lead to low energy expenditures. However, little is known about the joint impact of daily sitting time and physical activity on body fat distribution. We investigated the independent and joint associations of daily sitting time and physical activity with body fat among adults. Methods:This was a cross-sectional analysis of U.S.nationally representative data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey2011-2018 among adults aged 20 years or older.Daily sitting time and leisure-time physical activity(LTPA)were self-reported using the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire.Body fat(total and trunk fat percentage)was determined via dual X-ray absorptiometry. Results:Among 10,808 adults, about 54.6%spent 6 h/day or more sitting;more than one-half reported no LTPA(inactive)or less than 150 min/week LTPA(insufficiently active)with only 43.3%reported 150 min/week or more LTPA(active)in the past week. After fully adjusting for sociodemographic data, lifestyle behaviors, and chronic conditions, prolonged sitting time and low levels of LTPA were associated with higher total and trunk fat percentages in both sexes. When stratifying by LTPA,the association between daily sitting time and body fat appeared to be stronger in those who were inactive/insuufficiently active. In the joint analyses,inactive/insuufficiently active adults who reported sitting more than 8 h/day had the highest total(female:3.99%(95%confidence interval(95%CI):3.09%-4.88%);male:3.79%(95%CI:2.75%-4.82%))and trunk body fat percentages(female:4.21%(95%CI:3.09%-5.32%);male:4.07%(95%CI:2.95%-5.19%))when compared with those who were active and sitting less than 4 h/day.Conclusion:Prolonged daily sitting time was associated with increased body fat among U.S.adults.The higher body fat associated with 6 h/day sitting may not be offset by achieving recommended levels of physical activity.

文摘Elliptical tanks were used as an alternative to circular tanks in order to improve mixing efficiency and reduce mixing time in unbaffled stirred tanks(USTs). These findings suggest that elliptical vessels offer a promising alternative to circular vessels for enhancing mixing performance in USTs.

文摘With the development of the integration of aviation safety and artificial intelligence, research on the combination of risk assessment and artificial intelligence is particularly important in the field of risk management, but searching for an efficient and accurate risk assessment algorithm has become a challenge for the civil aviation industry. Therefore,an improved risk assessment algorithm(PS-AE-LSTM)based on long short-term memory network(LSTM)with autoencoder(AE)is proposed for the various supervised deep learning algorithms in flight safety that cannot adequately address the problem of the quality on risk level labels.Firstly, based on the normal distribution characteristics of flight data,a probability severity(PS)model is established to enhance the quality of risk assessment labels.Secondly, autoencoder is introduced to reconstruct the flight parameter data to improve the data quality. Finally, utilizing the time-series nature of flight data,a long and short-termmemory network is used to classify the risk level and improve the accuracy of risk assessment. Thus,a risk assessment experimentwas conducted to analyze a fleet landing phase dataset using the PS-AE-LSTMalgorithm to assess the risk level associated with aircraft hard landing events. The results show that the proposed algorithm achieves an accuracy of 86.45%compared with seven baseline models and has excellent risk assessment capability.

文摘A significant obstacle impeding the advancement of the time fractional Schrodinger equation lies in the challenge of determining its precise mathematical formulation. In order to address this,we undertake an exploration of the time fractional Schrodinger equation within the context of a non-Markovian environment.By leveraging a two-level atom as an illustrative case,we find that the choice to raise i to the order of the time derivative is inappropriate. In contrast to the conventional approach used to depict the dynamic evolution of quantum states in a non-Markovian environment, the time fractional Schrodinger equation, when devoid of fractional-order operations on the imaginary unit i,emerges as a more intuitively comprehensible framework in physics and offers greater simplicity in computational aspects.Meanwhile,we also prove that it is meaningless to study the memory of time fractional Schrodinger equation with time derivative 1<α≤2.It should be noted that we have not yet constructed an open system that can be fully described by the time fractional Schrodinger equation. This will be the focus of future research. Our study might provide a new perspective on the role of time fractional Schrodinger equation.

文摘Singular spectrum analysis is widely used in geodetic time series analysis. However, when extracting time-varying periodic signals from a large number of Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)time series, the selection of appropriate embedding window size and principal components makes this method cumbersome and inefficient. To improve the efficiency and accuracy of singular spectrum analysis, this paper proposes an adaptive singular spectrum analysis method by combining spectrum analysis with a new trace matrix. The running time and correlation analysis indicate that the proposed method can adaptively set the embedding window size to extract the time-varying periodic signals from GNSS time series, and the extraction efficiency of a single time series is six times that of singular spectrum analysis. The method is also accurate and more suitable for time-varying periodic signal analysis of global GNSS sites.

文摘Accurate forecasting of time series is crucial across various domains. Many prediction tasks rely on effectively segmenting, matching, and time series data alignment. For instance, regardless of time series with the same granularity, segmenting them into different granularity events can effectively mitigate the impact of varying time scales on prediction accuracy. However, these events of varying granularity frequently intersect with each other, which may possess unequal durations.Even minor differences can result in significant errors when matching time series with future trends.Besides, directly using matched events but unaligned events as state vectors in machine learning-based prediction models can lead to insufficient prediction accuracy. Therefore, this paper proposes a short-term forecasting method for time series based on a multi-granularity event,MGE-SP(multi-granularity event-based short-termprediction).First,amethodological framework for MGE-SP established guides the implementation steps. The framework consists of three key steps, including multi-granularity event matching based on the LTF(latest time first)strategy,multi-granularity event alignment using a piecewise aggregate approximation based on the compression ratio, and a short-term prediction model based on XGBoost. The data from a nationwide online car-hailing service in China ensures the method’s reliability. The average RMSE(root mean square error)and MAE(mean absolute error)of the proposed method are 3.204 and 2.360,lower than the respective values of 4.056 and 3.101 obtained using theARIMA(autoregressive integratedmoving average)method,as well as the values of 4.278 and 2.994 obtained using k-means-SVR(support vector regression)method. The other experiment is conducted on stock data froma public data set.The proposed method achieved an average RMSE and MAE of 0.836 and 0.696,lower than the respective values of 1.019 and 0.844 obtained using the ARIMA method,as well as the values of 1.350 and 1.172 obtained using the k-means-SVR method.
文摘In this paper, the covert age of information(CAoI),which characterizes the timeliness and covertness performance of communication,is first investigated in the short-packet covert communication with time modulated retrodirective array(TMRDA).Specifically, the TMRDA is designed to maximize the antenna gain in the target direction while the side lobe is sufficiently suppressed. On this basis, the covertness constraint and CAoI are derived in closed form.To facilitate the covert transmission design, the transmit power and block-length are jointly optimized to minimize the CAoI,which demonstrates the trade-off between covertness and timelessness. Our results illustrate that there exists an optimal block-length that yields the minimum CAoI,and the presented optimization results can achieve enhanced performance compared with the fixed block-length case.Additionally,we observe that smaller beam pointing error at Bob leads to improvements in CAoI.

文摘The composite time scale(CTS) provides an accurate and stable time-frequency reference for modern science and technology. In this way, with the help of the proposed scheme, the CTS can be referenced to the most stable master clock within the network in real time, no matter whether it is local or remote, making democratic polycentric timekeeping possible.

文摘Time-series data provide important information in many fields, and their processing and analysis have been the focus of much research. However, detecting anomalies is very difficult due to data imbalance, temporal dependence, and noise. Therefore, methodologies for data augmentation and conversion of time series data into images for analysis have been studied. This paper proposes a fault detection model that uses time series data augmentation and transformation to address the problems of data imbalance, temporal dependence, and robustness to noise. The method of data augmentation is set as the addition of noise. It involves adding Gaussian noise, with the noise level set to 0.002,to maximize the generalization performance of the model. In addition,we use the Markov Transition Field(MTF)method to effectively visualize the dynamic transitions of the data while converting the time series data into images. It enables the identification of patterns in time series data and assists in capturing the sequential dependencies of the data. For anomaly detection, the PatchCore model is applied to show excellent performance, and the detected anomaly areas are represented as heat maps.It allows for the detection of anomalies, and by applying an anomaly map to the original image,it is possible to capture the areas where anomalies occur. The performance evaluation shows that both F1-score and Accuracy are high when time series data is converted to images.Additionally, when processed as images rather than as time series data, there was a significant reduction in both the size of the data and the training time. The proposed method can provide an important springboard for research in the field of anomaly detection using time series data.Besides,it helps solve problems such as analyzing complex patterns in data lightweight.

文摘Time series forecasting plays an important role in various fields, such as energy, finance, transport, and weather. The experimental results show that TSCND can reduce prediction mean squared error by 7.3% and save runtime, compared with state-of-the-art models and vanilla TCN.

文摘Forecasting uncertainties among meteorological fields have long been recognized as the main limitation on the accuracy and predictability of air quality forecasts. However, the particular impact of meteorological forecasting uncertainties on air quality forecasts specific to different seasons is still not well known. In this study,a series of forecasts with different forecast lead times for January,April,July, and October of 2018 are conducted over the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH)region and the impacts of meteorological forecasting uncertainties on surface PM_(2.5)concentration forecasts with each lead time are investigated. With increased lead time, the forecasted PM_(2.5)concentrations significantly change and demonstrate obvious seasonal variations. In general, the forecasting uncertainties in monthly mean surface PM_(2.5)concentrations in the BTH region due to lead time are the largest(80%)in spring, followed by autumn(~50%),summer(~40%),and winter(20%).In winter, the forecasting uncertainties in total surface PM_(2.5)mass due to lead time are mainly due to the uncertainties in PBL heights and hence the PBL mixing of anthropogenic primary particles. In spring, the forecasting uncertainties are mainly from the impacts of lead time on lower-tropospheric northwesterly winds, thereby further enhancing the condensation production of anthropogenic secondary particles by the long-range transport of natural dust.In summer, the forecasting uncertainties result mainly from the decrease in dry and wet deposition rates, which are associated with the reduction of near-surface wind speed and precipitation rate.In autumn, the forecasting uncertainties arise mainly from the change in the transport of remote natural dust and anthropogenic particles, which is associated with changes in the large-scale circulation.
文摘Research on the use of EHR is contradictory since it presents contradicting results regarding the time spent documenting. The implications for clinical practice include the use of templates to improve workflow and documentation as well as decreasing documentation time while also increasing the number of patients seen per day. .
