The samples were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) with selected area electron diffraction (SAED), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and UV-visible light absorption spectrum. The results indicate that the growth orientations of the crystals are influenced by the hydrothermal temperature and NaOH concentration. The diameter of the nanoneedle spheres and nanoribbon spheres (40 50 μm) are almost the same as that of Ti powders. TiO 2 nanoneedle/nanoribbon sphere powders are anatase after heat treatment at 450 °C for 1 h. Furthermore, methyl orange was used as a target molecule to estimate the photocatalytic activity of the specimens. Under the same testing conditions, the photocatalytic activities of the products decrease in the following order: TiO 2 nanoneedle sphere, TiO 2 nanoribbon sphere and P25.展开更多

The obtained particles were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, XPS, UV-Vis DRS and PL techniques. BiOBr/TiO2 heterojunction nanocomposites with different mass ratios of m (BiOBr)/m (TiO2) were discussed in order to get the best photocatalytie activity, and BiOBr/TiO2-1.0 was proved to be the optimal mass ratio. BiOBr/TiO2-1.0 exhibited excellent photocatalytic activity in the degradation of RhB compared with TiO2 nanobelts, pure BiOBr and the mechanical mixture of TiO2 nanobelts and BiOBr. At last, a possible mechanism ofphotocatalytic enhancement was proposed.展开更多

The structures of N-TiO2 were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, diffuse reflectance UV-Vis spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscope. The N-doped TiO2 photocatalysts calcined below 700 ℃ are the pure anatase phase but that calcined at 700 ℃ is a mixture of anatase and rutile phases. The doped N locates at the interstitial site of TiO2 which leads to the narrowing of bad gap of pure anatase N-TiO2. Among all photocatalysts, N-TiO2 photocatalysts calcined at 600 and 400 ℃ exhibit the best performance in the photodegradation of methyl orange under the UV light and all-wavelength light illuminations, respectively; however, because of the perfect crystallinity and the existence of anatase-rutile phase junctions, N-TiO2 photocatalyst calcined at 700 ℃ exhibits the highest specific photodegradation rate, i.e., the highest quantum yield, under both the UV light and all-wavelength light illuminations.展开更多

The resistivity of IrO2-TiO2 thin films can be easily controlled from 1 500 to 356.7 μΩ·cm by the IrO2 intermixing ratio from 0.55 to 0.78 in the IrO2-TiO2 thin films. The low temperature coefficient of resistance(TCR) values can be obtained by adopting IrO2-TiO2 composite thin films. Moreover, the change in the resistivity of IrO2-TiO2 thin films was below 10% even after O2 annealing process at 600 ℃. The step stress test results show that IrO2-TiO2 films have better characteristics than conventional TaN08 heater resistor. Therefore, IrO2-TiO2 composite thin films can be used as a heater resistor material in thermal inkjet printhead.展开更多

The optimum conditions have also been found, mole ratio of n(La^3+):n(Ti^4+) is 1:34, the soaked consistency of H2SO4 is 0.8 tool/L, the soaked time of HESO4 is 24 h, the calcining temperature is 480 ℃, the calcining time is 3 h. Then it was applied in the catalytic synthesis often important ketals and acetals as catalyst and revealed high catalytic activity. Under these conditions on which the molar ratio of aldehyde/ketone to glycol is l: 1.5, the mass ratio of the catalyst used in the reactants is 0.5%, and the reaction time is 1.0 h, the yields of ketals and acetals can reach 41.4%-95.8%.展开更多

Pure Al powder was blended with TiO2 for activation. They were compacted into the preform and then sealed within 6060 alloy mould. The activation and infiltration were carried out in 6060 alloy bath for 1 h and comparative sintering experiments were carried out in an argon protected environment under the same conditions of temperature and duration. X-ray diffraction analysis proved that the Al sealed environment was superior to the argon protection on activating the reaction between Al and TiO2. The blending ratio of TiO2 to Al and the temperature were found to play the most important role in infiltration by affecting infiltration and reaction kinetics. Three main types of microstructures were observed after infiltration: full infiltration, partial infiltration with the formation of cracks and no infiltration. The formation of these microstructures was explained on the basis of reaction kinetics and local volume changes due to the reactions. Ultimately, it is found that to obtain an overall good spontaneous infiltration, a TiO2 to Al blending ratio around 3:7 in volume and an infiltration temperature around 900 °C are the most suitable.展开更多

The photocatalytic activity of V2O5/TiO2 was investigated by employing splitting of water for O2 evolution. The results indicate that V2O5 loading can pronouncedly improve the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 with Fe3+ as an electron acceptor under UV or visible light irradiation. The optimum mass fraction of the loaded V2O5 is 8%,and the largest speed of O2 evolution for 8%V2O5 (mass fraction) loaded TiO2 catalyst is 118.2 μmol/(L.h) under UV irradiation, and 83.7 μmol/(L.h) under visible light irradiation.展开更多

The influence rules of the two improved methods on characterization of TiO_2 samples, denitration activity and mechanical strength of honeycomb SCR catalyst samples were mainly focused on. The results indicate that the specific surface area, particle size and uniformity of TiO_2 samples are significantly improved by both of the ultrasonic and hydrothermal treatments compared with the traditional homogeneous precipitation. Also, the denitration activities of catalyst samples are enhanced by the two improved methods(the NO_x reduction ratio increases from 88.89% to 95.45% by ultrasonic homogeneous precipitation process, and to 94.12% by hydrothermal homogeneous precipitation process). On the other hand, because of good spherical shape and high particle distribution of TiO_2 sample from hydrothermal homogeneous precipitation process, the corresponding honeycomb catalyst samples get the best mechanical strength, which is even higher than that of the reference sample from commercial nano-TiO_2. So, it is concluded that the hydrothermal homogeneous precipitation can be a feasible and effective preparation method of TiO_2 carrier for the honeycomb SCR catalyst production.展开更多
