A pioneering glass-compatible transparent temperature alarm system self-powered by luminescent solar concentrators(LSCs) is reported.Single green-emitted organic manganese halides(OMHs) of PEA_(2)MnBr_(2)I_(2),which h...A pioneering glass-compatible transparent temperature alarm system self-powered by luminescent solar concentrators(LSCs) is reported.Single green-emitted organic manganese halides(OMHs) of PEA_(2)MnBr_(2)I_(2),which has a unique temperature-dependent backward energy transfer process from selftrapped state to^(4)T_(1)energy level of Mn,is used for triggering the temperature alarm.The LSC with redemitted CsPbI_(3)perovskite-polymer composite films on the glass substrate is used for power supply.The spectrally separated nature between the green-emitted OMHs for temperature alarm and red-emitted CsPbI3in LSC for power supply allows for probing the signal light of temperature-responsive OMHs without the interference of LSCs,making it possible to calibrate the temperature visually just by a self-powered brightness detection circuit with LED indicators.Taking advantage of LSC without hot spot effects plaguing the solar cells,as-prepared temperature alarm system can operate well on both sunny and cloudy day.展开更多

In the paper, we propose an event alarm system which can detect the human behaviors and recognize the happening event through integrating the results generated from the single and group behavior analysis. Several new effective features are proposed in the study. Besides, a mechanism capable of extracting one-to-one and multiple-to-one relations is also developed. Photovoltaic (PV) systems have attracted increasing attention in last years as well as Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), which have been used in many application fields. In PV plants, especially in ground installations...Photovoltaic (PV) systems have attracted increasing attention in last years as well as Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), which have been used in many application fields. In PV plants, especially in ground installations, a lot of thefts and damages occur due to the still high cost of the modules. A new experimental WSN ad-hoc has been designed to be an anti-theft alarm system. Each node of the network is directly installed under each PV string and it is equipped with an accelerometer sensor capable to detect a minimum displacement of the panel from its steady position. The WSN presents a star topology: a master node cyclically interrogates the slave nodes through RF link. It collects all the nodes responses and communicates though a RS-232 interface with a control PC checking the network status. When a slave node detects an alarm, continuous messages are sent to the control PC which turns on all the alarm signaling systems. The control PC is equipped with an open source operative system and software and provides for SMS, e-mail and sound-light signaling in case of alarm. It also communicates with a remote server where all the WSN information is stored. A first low cost experimental WSN has been already installed and it is working properly.展开更多

A Linear integrated temperature sensor detects temperature beyond preset value whereas semiconductor type sensor detects presence of smoke or gas from fire hazards. The sensor units are connected via common data line to ATMega8L AVR microcontroller. A SIM300CZ GSM kit based network module, capable of operating in standard GSM bands, has been used to send alert messages. Alarm systems constitute an indispensable component of automation as they draw the attention of process operators to any abnormal conditi on in the plant. Therefore, if deployed properly, alarm systems can play a critical role in helping plant operators ensure process safety and profitability. How-ever, in practice, many process plants suffer from poor alarm system configuration which leads to nuisance alarms and alarm floods that compromise safety. A vast amount of research has primarily focused on developing sophisticated alarm management algorithms to address specific issues. In this article, we provide a simple, practical, systematic approach that can be applied by plant engineers (i.e., non-experts) to improve industrial alarm system performance. In the paper,the experience of contradictions and conflicts as a normal feature of social change and evolutionary trends,is discussed.Contradictions normally destabilize a system,causing dilemmas and conflicts.However...In the paper,the experience of contradictions and conflicts as a normal feature of social change and evolutionary trends,is discussed.Contradictions normally destabilize a system,causing dilemmas and conflicts.However,the paper warns against thinking of destabilization as dysfunctional,as complex systems require a high degree of instability to deal with changes in the environment.Dealing with instabilities requires systems,which can produce alarms that signal a need to regain additional options for development and introduce them into the planning process.The paper introduces the concept of a place alarm system,which uses visions and utopias in various forms for alarm purposes.To illustrate this kind of thinking,the paper first presents a model of an alarm system,which demonstrates how we can deal with contradictions by including the temporal dimension in our analyses of place systems and bring broader temporal horizons into consideration.As an example,contradictions increase when we consider the future from the perspective of the present;the present future multiplies contradictions.On the other hand,viewing the present from the future(future present),creates possibilities for goal-directed planning to avoid the problems,which have produced alarm signals.As the paper demonstrates,these two possibilities of what may be called reflexive and utopian temporal modalizations,are not given as alternatives,but mutually imply each other.The paper then presents two case illustrations,which demonstrate how to deal with conflict and contradictions to facilitate collective and goal-directed planning,using the alarm system framework.In both cases,we are witnessing place planning processes,which lack the necessary requisite variety(Ashby,1956)to deal effectively with the environmental complexity and internal conflicts facing the local communities.As indicated in the analyses,the present planning regimes do not promote variety and vitality regarding current place developments.展开更多

This research explores the development of optimized probabilistic graphic models for the discretization thresholds of alarm system predictor variables. The study presents a statistical model framework that increases the efficacy of fire detection by predicting the discretization thresholds of alarm system predictor variable fluctuations used to detect the onset of fire. The work applies the Bayesian networks and probabilistic visual models to reveal the specific characteristics required to cope with fire detection strategies and patterns. The adopted methodology utilizes a combination of prior knowledge and statistical data to draw conclusions from observations. Utilizing domain knowledge to compute conditional dependencies between network variables enabled predictions to be made through the application of specialized analytical and simulation techniques.展开更多
Functionally referential signals are a complex form of communication that conveys information about the external environment.Such signals have been found in a range of mammal and bird species and have helped us unders...Functionally referential signals are a complex form of communication that conveys information about the external environment.Such signals have been found in a range of mammal and bird species and have helped us understand the complexities of animal communication.Corvids are well known for their extraordinary cognitive abilities,but relatively little attention has been paid to their vocal function.Here,we investigated the functionally referential signals of a cooperatively breeding corvid species,Azure-winged Magpie(Cyanopica cyanus).Through field observations,we suggest that Azure-winged Magpie uses referential alarm calls to distinguish two types of threats:’rasp’ calls for terrestrial threats and ’chatter’ calls for aerial threats.A playback experiment revealed that Azure-winged Magpies responded to the two call types with qualitatively different behaviors.They sought cover by flying into the bushes in response to the ’chatter’ calls,and flew to or stayed at higher positions in response to ’rasp’ calls,displaying a shorter response time to ’chatter’ calls.Significant differences in acoustic structure were found between the two types of calls.Given the extensive cognitive abilities of corvids and the fact that referential signals were once thought to be unique to primates,these findings are important for expanding our understanding of social communication and language evolution.展开更多

文摘Environment plays a vital role in the breeding process of broilers. In order to effectively monitor and control the breeding environment of broilers, a broiler breeding environment monitoring and alarm system based on internet of things is studied and established. The system adopts the narrow band internet of things communication technology, and can transmit the temperature, humidity, illumination and ammonia and other environ-mental data in the chicken house remotely through terminal collection unified interface device. Meantime, it realizes the control of fans, wet cur-tains, small windows and illumination in the chicken house by threshold method. The system software is designed and implemented by C#, SQL Server, WeX5 and other development tools, including platform terminal and enterprise terminal. Since its operation, the system is featured by stable state, reliable data and timely alarm, which solves the problem of unified control of different sensors and realizes the effective control of house envi-ronment.

文摘This paper proposes a novel bidirect i o nal anti-theft alarm scheme through detecting the magnetic field.The theoretical background and analysis of the approach of anti-theft alarm are pre sented.The circuit of burglar alarm is designed,fabricated and tested,and C language program is implemented and debugged.Feasibility of the de veloped scheme is proved by the experiments.
文摘In the paper,the experience of contradictions and conflicts as a normal feature of social change and evolutionary trends,is discussed.Contradictions normally destabilize a system,causing dilemmas and conflicts.However,the paper warns against thinking of destabilization as dysfunctional,as complex systems require a high degree of instability to deal with changes in the environment.Dealing with instabilities requires systems,which can produce alarms that signal a need to regain additional options for development and introduce them into the planning process.The paper introduces the concept of a place alarm system,which uses visions and utopias in various forms for alarm purposes.To illustrate this kind of thinking,the paper first presents a model of an alarm system,which demonstrates how we can deal with contradictions by including the temporal dimension in our analyses of place systems and bring broader temporal horizons into consideration.As an example,contradictions increase when we consider the future from the perspective of the present;the present future multiplies contradictions.On the other hand,viewing the present from the future(future present),creates possibilities for goal-directed planning to avoid the problems,which have produced alarm signals.As the paper demonstrates,these two possibilities of what may be called reflexive and utopian temporal modalizations,are not given as alternatives,but mutually imply each other.The paper then presents two case illustrations,which demonstrate how to deal with conflict and contradictions to facilitate collective and goal-directed planning,using the alarm system framework.In both cases,we are witnessing place planning processes,which lack the necessary requisite variety(Ashby,1956)to deal effectively with the environmental complexity and internal conflicts facing the local communities.As indicated in the analyses,the present planning regimes do not promote variety and vitality regarding current place developments.
文摘As one of the most important facilities, The CSR power cables played a major role in powering device. Thecable temperature continued to rise as soon as it's energized with electrical power. High temperature may be caughta cable fire disaster, so the temperature alarm system is presented. The temperature alarm system for CSR PowerCables is designed and realized by the slow control group and the power supply group in IMP 2014. This is a effective means, and can accurately located the target cables.When the target cable temperature is higher than70?, the system can generate alarm signals, and sendthem to the GUI software. After practical running forseveral months, the system had shown its accuracy andreliability.

In current time, the intelligent home systems as well as the Internet of Things are forming a more and more mature industrial chain. With abundant of new technology applications, this industrial chain is developing towards to a more intelligent way. One of the most important applications is the video monitoring system developed by new technology. Deploy an appropriate design of video monitoring system in the several fields such as public security, traffic schedule, systems control and so on, is a major technological medium which can guarantee not wasting an amount of manpower resource as well as keeping the system in a good running status. This article based on the preponderance of the Linux system, especially the character of open source of it. Combine the Linux system and some particular routers;designing a real-time and efficient video monitoring system. It’s functional and in the meantime it can discriminate abnormal information or the situation automatically and then raise the alarm. This system use matured B/S mode in software’s framework, which is also lightweight class. In addition, this system manages the expenses in hardware cost more commendably.

文摘Sensors for fire alarms require a high level of predictive variables to ensure accurate detection, injury prevention, and loss prevention. Bayesian networks can aid in enhancing early fire detection capabilities and reducing the frequency of erroneous fire alerts, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of numerous safety monitoring systems. This research explores the development of optimized probabilistic graphic models for the discretization thresholds of alarm system predictor variables. The study presents a statistical model framework that increases the efficacy of fire detection by predicting the discretization thresholds of alarm system predictor variable fluctuations used to detect the onset of fire. The work applies the Bayesian networks and probabilistic visual models to reveal the specific characteristics required to cope with fire detection strategies and patterns. The adopted methodology utilizes a combination of prior knowledge and statistical data to draw conclusions from observations. Utilizing domain knowledge to compute conditional dependencies between network variables enabled predictions to be made through the application of specialized analytical and simulation techniques.

文摘Functionally referential signals are a complex form of communication that conveys information about the external environment.Such signals have been found in a range of mammal and bird species and have helped us understand the complexities of animal communication.Corvids are well known for their extraordinary cognitive abilities,but relatively little attention has been paid to their vocal function.Here,we investigated the functionally referential signals of a cooperatively breeding corvid species,Azure-winged Magpie(Cyanopica cyanus).Through field observations,we suggest that Azure-winged Magpie uses referential alarm calls to distinguish two types of threats:’rasp’ calls for terrestrial threats and ’chatter’ calls for aerial threats.A playback experiment revealed that Azure-winged Magpies responded to the two call types with qualitatively different behaviors.They sought cover by flying into the bushes in response to the ’chatter’ calls,and flew to or stayed at higher positions in response to ’rasp’ calls,displaying a shorter response time to ’chatter’ calls.Significant differences in acoustic structure were found between the two types of calls.Given the extensive cognitive abilities of corvids and the fact that referential signals were once thought to be unique to primates,these findings are important for expanding our understanding of social communication and language evolution.

文摘Post-earthquake rescue missions are full of challenges due to the unstable structure of ruins and successive aftershocks.Most of the current rescue robots lack the ability to interact with environments,leading to low rescue efficiency.The multimodal electronic skin(e-skin)proposed not only reproduces the pressure,temperature,and humidity sensing capabilities of natural skin but also develops sensing functions beyond it—perceiving object proximity and NO2 gas.Its multilayer stacked structure based on Ecoflex and organohydrogel endows the e-skin with mechanical properties similar to natural skin.Rescue robots integrated with multimodal e-skin and artificial intelligence(AI)algorithms show strong environmental perception capabilities and can accurately distinguish objects and identify human limbs through grasping,laying the foundation for automated post-earthquake rescue.Besides,the combination of e-skin and NO2 wireless alarm circuits allows robots to sense toxic gases in the environment in real time,thereby adopting appropriate measures to protect trapped people from the toxic environment.Multimodal e-skin powered by AI algorithms and hardware circuits exhibits powerful environmental perception and information processing capabilities,which,as an interface for interaction with the physical world,dramatically expands intelligent robots’application scenarios.

文摘Overlooking the issue of false alarm suppression in heterogeneous change detection leads to inferior detection per-formance.This paper proposes a method to handle false alarms in heterogeneous change detection.A lightweight network of two channels is bulit based on the combination of convolutional neural network(CNN)and graph convolutional network(GCN).CNNs learn feature difference maps of multitemporal images,and attention modules adaptively fuse CNN-based and graph-based features for different scales.GCNs with a new kernel filter adaptively distinguish between nodes with the same and those with different labels,generating change maps.Experimental evaluation on two datasets validates the efficacy of the pro-posed method in addressing false alarms.
