Transformation of alkali and alkaline-earth metals during coal oxy-fuel combustion in the presence of SO_2 and H_2O 被引量:6

The occurrence modes of alkali and alkaline-earth metals(AAEMs) in coal relate to their release behavior and ash formation during combustion. To better understand the transformation of AAEMs,the release behavior of water-soluble,HCl-soluble,HCl-insoluble AAEMs during Shenmu coal(SM coal) oxy-fuel combustion in the presence of SO2 and H2O in a drop-tube reactor was investigated through serial dissolution using H2O and HCl solutions. The results show that the release rates of AAEMs increase with an increase in temperature under the three atmospheres studied. The high release rates of Mg and Ca from SM coal are dependent on the high content of soluble Mg and Ca in SM coal. SO2 inhibits the release rates of AAEMs,while H2O promotes them. The effects of SO2 and H2O on the Na and K species are more evident than those on Mg and Ca species. All three types of AAEMs in coal can volatilize in the gas phase during coal combustion. The W-type AAEMs release excessively,whereas the release rates of I-type AAEMs are relatively lower. Different types of AAEM may interconvert through different pathways under certain conditions. Both SO2 and H2O promote the transformation reactions. The effect of SO2 was related to sulfate formation and the promotion by H2O occurs because of a decrease in the melting point of the solid as well as the reaction of H2O. 展开更多

Nano-sized γ-alumina (γ-Al2O3) was first prepared by a precipitation method. Then, active component of cobalt and a series of alkaline- earth metal promoters or nickel (Ni) with different contents were loaded on the γ-Al2O3 support. The catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption-desorption, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetry analysis (TGA). The activity and selectivity of the catalysts in catalytic partial oxidation (CPO) of methane have been compared with Co/γ-Al2O3, and it is found that the catalytic activity, selectivity, and stability are enhanced by the addition of alkaline-earth metals and nickel. The optimal loadings of strontium (Sr) and Ni were 6 and 4 wt%, respectively. This finding will be helpful in designing the trimetallic Co-Ni-Sr/γ-Al2O3 catalysts with high performance in CPO of methane 展开更多

The stability of the complexes, thermal effect and entropy effect of the complexation is discussed on the basis of the guest ions structure and the solvent effect. The stability constants tendency to vary with ion radius was interpreted. Complex of naphtha-15-crown-5 with calcium ion is very stable due to the synergism of static electric interaction and size selectivity between the host and the guest. 展开更多

This work evaluated the effects of inherent alkali and alkaline earth metals on nitrogen transformation during steam gasification of Shengli lignite at the temperature of 873-1173 K in a fluidized-bed/fixed-bed quartz reactor. The results indicated that the alkali metal Na and alkaline earth metals Ca, Mg in coal have different effects on inherent nitrogen transformation to NH3, HCN and char-N during the lignite steam gasification. Specifically during the steam gasification of Shengli lignite, Na and Ca, Mg not only catalyze the inherent nitrogen conversions to NH3, but also promote the secondary reactions of the nascent char-N as well as the generation of NH3 from the generated HCN, meanwhile they also inhibited the inherent nitrogen conversion to HCN and char-N. The presence of Na, Ca and Mg hindered the formation of oxidized nitrogen (N-X) functional groups, but enhanced pyridinic nitrogen (N-6) and quaternary nitrogen's (N-Q) formation in char. 展开更多

We took Co_(0.2)Ni_(0.8)-MOF-74 with bimetallic synergistic effect as the basic material,and selected rare earth ions Ho,Gd,and Er with ion radii close to Co and Ni as the research objects for doping.The influence of rare earth ion doping amount and doping type on the eNRR performance of the catalyst was explored.The experimental results show that the ammonia yield rate and Faraday efficiency doped with Co_(0.2)Ni_(0.8)-MOF-0.5Ho are the highest,reaching 1.28×10^(-10)mol·s^(-1)·cm^(-2)/39.8%,which is higher than the1.12×10^(-10)mol·s^(-1)·cm^(-2)/32.2%of Co_(0.2)Ni_(0.8)-MOF-74,and is about 14.3%/23.7%higher than that without doping,respectively.And the stability of Co_(0.2)Ni_(0.8)-MOF-0.5 Ho is good(after 80 hours of continuous testing,the current density did not significantly decrease).This is mainly due to doping,which gives Co_(0.2)Ni_(0.8)-MOF-74 a larger specific surface area and catalytic active sites.The catalyst doped at the same time has more metal cation centers,which increases the electron density of the metal centers and enhances the corresponding eNRR performance. 展开更多

Two new alkaline earth metal coordination polymers constructed from the deriva-tive of 1,2,4-triazole are presented herein,namely,{[Sr(AmTAZAc)2(H2O)]}(1) and {[Ba(AmTAZAc)2(H2O)]}(2)(AmTAZAc = 3-amino-1H-1,2,4-triazole-5-carboxylate),which have been synthesized by using the layering method and structurally characterized by elemental analysis,IR,and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.Complexes 1 and 2 are isostructural,and both crystallize in the orthorhombic system,space group Fdd2.X-ray structural analysis shows that 1 or 2 has an intriguing 3-D infinite network of(318.438.510) topology based on a 2-D sheet structure of(4,4) net.The result shows that noncovalent interactions play an important role in strengthening the whole structures of the compounds. 展开更多

Solvothermal reactions of Ca(NO), Sr(NO)with thiophene-2,5-dicarboxylic in DMF afforded two new inorganic-organic hybrid frameworks, [M(TDC)(DMF)]n(M = Ca(1), Sr(2), TDC = thiophene-2,5-dicarboxylic, DMF = N,N?-dimethylformamide), which have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis and IR spectra. Both compounds feature three-dimensional(3D) frameworks based on the versatile coordinated modes(μ-η~2:η~2, μ-η~2:η~1, μ-η~2:η~1) of carboxylic groups in tdc ligands. C–H···S hydrogen bonds and C–H···π interactions contribute to the stabilization of the structures. They exhibit weaker packing force compared with their literature isomers. Consequently, blue and blue/green luminescence of two compounds has been observed. Their luminescence mechanism can be ascribed to ligand-to-metal charge transfer(LMCT) compared with the ligand-centered luminescence in their isomers. Electronic structural calculations illustrate that under the condition of weaker packing forces, larger gaps can be achieved, which facilitate the LMCT. This work suggests that the introduction of S-heteroatom can result in more electrons rich in the metal centers, thus giving rise to metal-involved luminescence. 展开更多

Bioleaching Xiangjiang River alkaline sediment contaminated by multiple heavy metals was investigated. Multiple metals in alkaline sediment possess significant toxicity to aquatic organisms or humans and will greatly inhibit bioleaching. The bioleaching method using autotrophic bacteria mixed with heterotrophic bacteria can solve this problem successfully. The experiment results showed that bioleaching efficiencies of Zn, Mn, Cu, and Cd were 95.2 %, 94.2 %, 90.1 %, and 84.4 %, respectively. Moreover, the changes of heavy metal concentrations in different fractions in contaminated sediment before and after bioleaching were analyzed by selective sequential extraction, and it was discovered that the main fractions of Zn, Mn, Cu and Cd after bioleaching are Fe-Mn oxide, organic associated form and a residual form. Its biotoxicity decreased greatly. The bioleaching heavy metals from sediment using autotrophic bacteria combined with heterotrophic bacteria can effectively improve the bioleaching efficiency and reduce toxicity. 展开更多

[ Method] The effects of effectors such as multiple metal ions and organic solvents on ALP in viscera of rice-field eel. [ Result] Na^+ and K ^+ didn't generate big influences on enzyme activity;Mg^2+ and Ca^2+ could promote ALP while Li^+,Cu^2+ and Zn^2+ could restrain ALP enzyme activity. Both HPO4^2- and WO4^2- generated by en- zyme catalyzing disodium phenyl phosphate possessed strong inhibitory effects on emzymc, and 9.5 mmol/L HPO4^2 - would make enzyme activity decline by 13% while 9.5 mmol/L WO4^3- would make enzyme decline by 34%. The inhibition types of them were both competitive inhibition on enzyme activity. The organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol,ethylene glycol,isopropannl all generated influences on ALP and the order according to their inhibitory effects was isopropanol 〉 ethanol 〉 methanol 〉 ethylene glycol. [ Conclusion] The inflncnces of various effeetors on ALP aetivity of rice-field eel were studied from dynamics perspective to provide theoretical basis for further clarifying ALP mechanism. 展开更多

The influence of rare earth metals and heat treatment on the microstructure and performance of M42 steel has been investigated by means of an optical microscope OM scanning electron microscope SEM energy dispersive spectroscopy EDS transmission electron microscope TEM electron back-scatter diffraction EBSD and X-ray diffraction XRD . The results show that M2 C is the prevailing type of eutectic carbides in M42 steel. After modification with rare earth metals M2 C eutectic carbides change from the ordered lamellar structure into a circular structure.Despite different morphologies the two carbides present the same characteristics of microstructure and growth orientation.Compared with lamellar carbides M2 C carbides with the circular structure are much easier to decompose and spheroidize after heating which remarkably refines the carbide dimensions.The refined carbides improve the supersaturation of alloying elements in martensite and increase the hardness of M42 steel by 1.5 HRC. 展开更多

The luminescence spectra and phonon sideband associated with the Eu^3+:^5D2→^7F0 in glass and glass ceramics were investigated to analyze the local environment around Eu^3+. Judd-Ofelt parameters were also calculated from emission spectra, which indicated that the Eu^3+ ions entered the precipitated CaF2, SrF2, and BaF2 nanocrystallites. Heat treating could not pledge Eu^3+ ions to coordinate with F^- in the precipitated MgF2 nanocrystallites, owing to the smaller radius of Mg^2+ than that of Eu^3+. 展开更多

The mechanism of thermal decomposition of alkaline earth benzoates was studied by using TG, DTA, IR and gas chromatography mass spectrometry. The thermal decomposition of alkaline earth benzoates in nitrogen proceeded in one or two stages: they decomposed to form MCO 3 (M=Ca,Sr,Ba) or MgO and organic compounds, respectively. Total of 23 bench samples were taken from the No. 7 Coal of Iqe Coalfield, Qinghai Province, China, following Chinese Standard Method GB/T 482-2008 (2008). These samples were analyzed by powder X-ray diffraction (... Total of 23 bench samples were taken from the No. 7 Coal of Iqe Coalfield, Qinghai Province, China, following Chinese Standard Method GB/T 482-2008 (2008). These samples were analyzed by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP- MS) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF). The results indicate that the No. 7 Coal belongs to a low rank (Ro.ran =0.659%) and high-ash coal (40.54%). Compared to common Chinese and world low-rank coals, the lqe coal contains anomalous concentrations of rare metal elements, rare-scattered (dispersed) elements and rare earth elements. The highest contents of Rb, Cs, Ga and REY reach to 180, 26, 37, and 397 ppm, respectively. Their average contents of these elements are 10.9, 15, 4.8 and 3.5 times higher than those of world coals, respectively. Minerals in the coal include kaolinite, quartz, muscovite, siderite, and traces of rutile, and brookite. Kaolinite could be main host minerals of Rb, Cs, Ga and REY. The anomalous rare element Rb and Cs accumulation in the Iqe coal is related to both organic and inorganic matter. The REY concentrations may be related to circulation of thermal solutions, contained or sorbed by clayey particles, and organic matter as well. 展开更多

The thermodynamic analysis for inclusion formation shows that RE oxide can be reduced to RE element by carbon, then the RE element can react with oxygen and sulfur to form the RE oxide, RE sulfide and RE oxide-sulfide in hardfacing molten pool. The deoxidization and the desulphurization can be carried out and the liquid metal can be purified. In addition, RE oxide can also react with sulfur to form RE oxide-sulfide directly. In this work, a thorough examinations on the extractability of zinc and lead present in the steelmaking dusts using alkaline leaching process and the effectiveness of the zinc and lead separation in the resultant leaching solutions using sulfide precipitation method were made. It was found that only about 53% of zinc and over 70% of the lead could be leached out of the dusts, while the other 47% of zinc and 30% of lead were left in the leaching residues. The zinc and lead in the resultant leaching solution can be effectively and selectively separated. When the weight ratio of sodium sulfide (M.W. = 222-240) to Pb was kept at 1.8, the lead in the solution could be precipitated out quantitatively while all the zinc was remained in the solution. The zinc left in the solution can be further recovered by the addition of extra sodium sulfide with a weight ratio of sodium sulfide to the zinc over 2.6. The resultant filtrate can be recycled to the leaching of dust in the next leaching process. 展开更多

The rare earth (RE) elements (Ce, La) were added to binary Ti 47% Al alloys (atomic fraction) by Induction Skull Melting. The element Ce of 1.0 atomic percent was added individually, and La of 0.2 atomic percent was added individually. This article studied the influences of rare earth metal (Ce, La) on microstructure of as cast TiAl based alloy by XRD, SEM, EMPA and TEM measurement methodology. The results show that most of rare earth rich phases (AlCe, AlLa) are uniformly distributed in grain boundary in the shape of discontinuous network, and some particles of rare earth rich phases within the grains are mainly ellipsoids. In addition, rare earth element can obviously refine the grain size and the lamellar thickness of as cast TiAl based alloy samples. The grain size of Ti 47Al 1.0Ce 0.2La alloy reaches about 30~80 μm, and the lamellar thickness of its γ phase and α 2 phase are less than 200 and 20 nm, respectively. 展开更多
