Decarbonization and reaction between molten steel and decarbonization layer are main erosion process of carbon containingrefractories by molten steel. The reactions between molten steel and oxide in refractories determine thethickness of decarbonization layer. A dense layer formation on the working surface contacting withmolten steel during casting will suppress decarbonization and erosion process.展开更多
