Use of cognitive-behavioral career coaching to reduce work anxiety and depression in public employees

BACKGROUND Public employees worldwide are increasingly concerned about work anxiety and depression.Cognitive-behavioral career coaching has emerged as a promising strategy for addressing these mental health disorders,which can negatively impact on a person's overall well-being and performance.AIM To examine whether cognitive-behavioral career coaching reduces work anxiety and depression among Nigerian public employees.METHODS A total of 120 public employees(n=60)suffering from severe anxiety and depression were randomly assigned to the treatment or control groups in this study.Cognitive behavioral coaching was provided twice a week to those in the treatment group,whereas no treatment was given to those in the control group.As part of the study,the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scales and Beck Depression Inventory were used to collect data.RESULTS Analysis of covariance of the data from participants indicates a significant effect of cognitive-behavioral career coaching on work anxiety and depression.CONCLUSION Insights into the underlying mechanisms by which cognitive behavior career coaching exerts its effects have been gained from this study.Also,the study has gathered valuable data that can inform future practice and guide the development of strategies for supporting mental health at work. 展开更多

Career identity is one of the important topics to study the psychological problems of employees,especially after the outbreak of CoV-19.Being a populous country in the world,China has a large number of employees from all walks of life,and its research on career identity has attracted more and more attention.Thus,this study aims to sort out the history,characteristics,and trends of the research on career identity in China through a literature review,which can help more scholars pay attention to China’s career identity research.In this study,Citespace is used to statistically analyze the selected literature from China’s National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and Web of Science(WOS).The results show that:(1)The historical evolution of career identity research in China can be divided into three stages:germination,development and maturity.(2)From the perspective of cooperation between authors and institutions,researchers tend to do independent research,mainly focusing on the research in the field of psychology.(3)From the key words,career identity and employability are the main high-frequency words.(4)From the cluster analysis,the research focuses mainly include social support,teachers’career identity,influencing factors,and job involvement.(5)From the emergent analysis,it can be seen that the research on roles and differences between urban and rural areas is weakening,and the research on factors such as job satisfaction is gradually strengthening as the frontier theme.Finally,according to the existing analysis results,this study predicts the future trend of career identity in China and thinks that it will extend from the fields of concept explanation,interdisciplinary research,scientific research tools,and so on. 展开更多

Based on the implementation of the new college entrance examination reform policy and the demand of related policies,the choice of subjects for high school students has shifted from the traditional relatively single model of arts and sciences division to the"3+3"model,and the topic of"how to infiltrate the concept of career education in the teaching process of senior high schools"has become increasingly important.However,at present,the implementation of career education in senior high schools is frequently limited,mainly in the form of class meetings,which instills the concept of career education to students.Therefore,the implementation effect is often not satisfactory.Therefore,experiential learning,a novel and efficient learning method,has entered public's view.Based on relevant research literature at home and abroad,we started with the importance and urgency of implementing career education in high schools,and generally reviewed the research status and future development trends of experiential career education both domestically and internationally.The practical and theoretical significance of the research were explained,and relevant concepts were summarized.Finally,strategic suggestions were proposed for integrating experiential career education concepts into biology teaching in ordinary high schools in China. 展开更多

This study examined and analysed the impact of self-efficacy on the career decisions of 52 viola students enrolled in Chinese universities.According to the findings,the level of self-efficacy influences the learning and career decisions of students directly.Higher self-efficacy can positively affect how individuals perceive their past experiences and those of others.Therefore,a high degree of self-efficacy can be advantageous.Self-efficacy is primarily influenced by a person’s prior experiences,alternative experiences,verbal persuasion,and physical and emotional state during work-based learning.Schools may offer courses that foster and improve the development of self-efficacy in order to help viola majors in improving their self-efficacy effectively. 展开更多

社会认知职业理论认为,个人职业选择在环境、个人与行为三者相互作用的过程中形成。其中,自我效能、结果期待和职业目标是核心的认知变量,而专业认同和专业能力是影响自我效能的重要因素。专业认同通过自我效能和结果期待影响职业目标,... 社会认知职业理论认为,个人职业选择在环境、个人与行为三者相互作用的过程中形成。其中,自我效能、结果期待和职业目标是核心的认知变量,而专业认同和专业能力是影响自我效能的重要因素。专业认同通过自我效能和结果期待影响职业目标,专业能力的提升会对自我效能产生正向作用,从而影响职业选择。因此,社会工作专业本科生是否选择社会工作作为职业是个人、专业、社会和政策共同作用的结果。专业信念和个人价值观相匹配是职业选择的前提。当专业信念、专业认同和专业能力单因素或多因素与职业目标相匹配时,环境因素对职业选择的影响力微弱,学生倾向于选择从事社会工作相关职业;反之,当专业信念、专业认同和专业能力单因素或多因素与职业目标不匹配时,环境因素对职业选择的影响力增强,学生倾向于放弃从事社会工作相关职业。 展开更多

阴影效应是影响人工鱼礁诱集效果的主要因素之一,为研究许氏平鲉(Sebastes schlegelii)对人工鱼礁不同阴影情况的行为响应,采用室内模拟实验方法,在实验水槽顶部固定光源,共设计3组实验:A组实验探究不同阴影面积的鱼礁模型对实验鱼的诱... 阴影效应是影响人工鱼礁诱集效果的主要因素之一,为研究许氏平鲉(Sebastes schlegelii)对人工鱼礁不同阴影情况的行为响应,采用室内模拟实验方法,在实验水槽顶部固定光源,共设计3组实验:A组实验探究不同阴影面积的鱼礁模型对实验鱼的诱集效果;B组实验探究不放置鱼礁模型、悬挂不同开孔率顶板对实验鱼的诱集效果;C组实验探究阴影面积相同但开孔数量不同的鱼礁模型对实验鱼的诱集效果;对照组实验水槽中不放置鱼礁模型、不悬挂顶板。观察并记录许氏平鲉幼鱼(体长(5.06±0.09)cm,体质量(3.22±0.16)g)在水槽中的行为与分布特征。研究表明:3个实验组中许氏平鲉在鱼礁放置区域的出现率均显著高于对照组和其他区域;A组实验中,许氏平鲉在鱼礁放置区的平均出现率随着鱼礁阴影面积的增大而上升;B组实验中,许氏平鲉在顶板放置区的平均出现率显著高于对照组,但不同水平组之间差异不显著;C组实验中,开孔数为1时许氏平鲉在鱼礁放置区的平均出现率与开孔数为9时相近且高于开孔数为4和6时。研究结果表明,阴影面积越大的人工鱼礁对许氏平鲉的诱集效果越好,阴影面积相同时开孔数较多的人工鱼礁能够在提供良好庇护所的同时保证诱集效果。 展开更多

职业转换力是退役运动员顺畅实现职业转换的关键因素。通过文献资料法、行为事件访谈法等构建退役运动员职业转换力的理论概念维度,并结合质性研究结果开发测试量表,通过问卷调查法、数理统计法等量化研究方法进行交互检验。研究认为:(1... 职业转换力是退役运动员顺畅实现职业转换的关键因素。通过文献资料法、行为事件访谈法等构建退役运动员职业转换力的理论概念维度,并结合质性研究结果开发测试量表,通过问卷调查法、数理统计法等量化研究方法进行交互检验。研究认为:(1)基于无边界职业生涯视角提出退役运动员职业转换力是指应对职业转换而采取行动、更好适应新职业的个体能力。(2)退役运动员职业转换力量表包含能力拓展、生涯管理、适应调节3个维度共16个题项,退役运动员职业转换力的二阶三因子测量模型拟合优度较好,具备较好的信度和效度,与其理论概念维度保持一致。(3)预测效应显示退役运动员职业转换力能显著提高就业质量,同时促使其表现出较高的职业满意度。 展开更多

博士生职业发展从单一到多元是社会发展的产物。从国内外现状看,博士生职业发展多样化缘于学术劳动力市场中精英学术岗位供需失衡、学术职位稳定性下降的“推力”与非学术劳动力市场中对高层次人才需求日益增长的“拉力”等现实因素的... 博士生职业发展从单一到多元是社会发展的产物。从国内外现状看,博士生职业发展多样化缘于学术劳动力市场中精英学术岗位供需失衡、学术职位稳定性下降的“推力”与非学术劳动力市场中对高层次人才需求日益增长的“拉力”等现实因素的共同作用。然而,由于博士生学术身份固化下的择业取向单一、高校培养观念滞后下的教育支持单一、职业预期定向下的学生智能单一等问题,至今大多数博士毕业生依然囿于学术职位。本研究通过分析美国大学协会的“博士生教育倡议”项目实践,借鉴项目中试点高校通过理念更新、数据透明、机制革新、资源整合为博士生职业发展多样化提供教育支持的成功经验,针对我国博士生教育的实际情况,提出以“新定位”拓宽培养目标、以“数字化”打开求职渠道、以“强机制”助力个性化培养、以“广合作”推动资源整合等教育支持策略。 展开更多

企业领导权变奖励影响员工职业承诺有赖于由员工心理契约违背中介完成并受制于员工权力距离的调节。笔者基于组织公平理论,构建了企业领导权变奖励影响员工职业承诺机制的一个有调节的中介模型,在此基础上以590份来自对中国内地企业普... 企业领导权变奖励影响员工职业承诺有赖于由员工心理契约违背中介完成并受制于员工权力距离的调节。笔者基于组织公平理论,构建了企业领导权变奖励影响员工职业承诺机制的一个有调节的中介模型,在此基础上以590份来自对中国内地企业普通员工问卷调查的有效数据,运用层级回归和bootstrap方法实证检验了企业领导权变奖励与员工职业承诺之间的关联。检验结果证实:企业领导权变奖励显著正向影响员工职业承诺;员工心理契约违背部分中介作用于企业领导权变奖励对员工职业承诺的影响;员工权力距离既与企业领导权变奖励影响员工职业承诺的关系负相关,也反向调节此间员工心理契约违背的中介作用。本研究通过尝试性地将员工心理契约违背和员工权力距离等相关变量引入对企业领导权变奖励影响员工职业承诺关系模型的实证检验,揭示了企业领导权变奖励对员工职业承诺的相关影响机理,从领导奖励层次与员工职业承诺的关联上扩展了组织公平理论的应用边界,丰富了有关公司内部治理方面的现有文献,研究结论有助于为企业经营管理中制定科学合理的奖惩条例和处理好企业领导与员工的干群关系提供理论依据。 展开更多

目的 探讨新毕业护士转型冲击与职业认同的相关性。方法 选取深圳市罗湖区人民医院127名毕业三年内的护士作为调查对象,采用一般情况问卷、转型冲击量表和职业认同量表进行调查。结果 深圳市罗湖区人民医院新毕业护士转型冲击总分为88.8... 目的 探讨新毕业护士转型冲击与职业认同的相关性。方法 选取深圳市罗湖区人民医院127名毕业三年内的护士作为调查对象,采用一般情况问卷、转型冲击量表和职业认同量表进行调查。结果 深圳市罗湖区人民医院新毕业护士转型冲击总分为88.88±0.22分,职业认同总分为99.05±0.18分。新毕业护士转型冲击的社会文化与发展维度和职业认同呈负相关(r=-0.309, p<0.05)。其中转型冲击中的社会文化与发展维度对职业认同有负向影响作用(p<0.05)。结论 新毕业护士转型冲击及职业认同情况均处于中等水平,转型冲击与职业认同有相关性,其中社会文化与发展对职业认同影响最大。管理者应通过开设有针对性的培训项目,协助新护士完成角色转变,从而降低其压力感受,提高职业认同水平。 展开更多
