The concept of New Liberal Arts,a multidisciplinary combined integrator with Chinese values at its core,has brought new challenges to the teaching methods and professional development of higher-level English teachers.Based on the evolving professional development process of higher vocational English teachers in the context of the New Liberal Arts,this article analyzes how English teachers can integrate multidisciplinary knowledge and adopt advanced educational technology in the teaching process.On this basis,it discusses the role of teachers’professional development in enhancing students’learning ability,such as through deepening disciplinary understanding,adopting innovative teaching strategies,and implementing personalized teaching.At the end of the article,based on a variety of pedagogical theories,we put forward suggestions,including continuous professional training,interdisciplinary cooperation,and the application of innovative teaching techniques,which are mainly aimed at helping higher vocational English teachers get rid of the dilemma of the new situation,adapt to the needs of the new liberal arts education as soon as possible,and then effectively improve students’abilities. 展开更多

The teachers teach students knowledge in words and convey a large amount of information using nonverbal behavior. These nonverbal behavior exert a subtle influence on the students, thus affect the classroom teaching. The English teachers' classroom nonverbal behavior in a higher vocational college in Gansu province was investigated through questionnaires. The results indicate that the teachers' behaviors affect the different aspects of students and then influence the effectiveness of teaching on English classroom teaching in higher vocational college. 展开更多

This paper reports a case study investigating and comparing the cognition and classroom practice of two college English teachers with regards to oral English teaching in an agricultural university. Both consistency and inconsistency between their cognition and practice are examined and reasons especially for inconsistency are explored. Findings suggest that teachers do hold a system of cognition which shapes their classroom practice to a very large extent. However, due to the influence of many other factors, both internal and external, their practice in oral English teaching does not always reflect their cognition. 展开更多

基于社会心理学中的自我决定理论,运用质化方法,对参加全国高校教师教学创新大赛的5个英语教学团队开展访谈,剖析英语教师参与大赛的动机及其变化规律。研究结果表明:英语教师参赛可大致经历感性尝试、调整适应、理性分析三个动机阶段;... 基于社会心理学中的自我决定理论,运用质化方法,对参加全国高校教师教学创新大赛的5个英语教学团队开展访谈,剖析英语教师参与大赛的动机及其变化规律。研究结果表明:英语教师参赛可大致经历感性尝试、调整适应、理性分析三个动机阶段;教师初始参赛行为易受控制性动机影响,表现在感性尝试期对“职称晋升”“绩效考核”等目标的追求,部分教师虽然在调整适应期已产生较强自主性动机,但进入理性分析期的教师更加倾向于将大赛视为“专业发展”“个人旨趣”的实践路径;英语教师参赛动机自我决定程度增强是自主性动机发挥主导作用的结果,其深层原因在于基本心理需求的满足,其中教学共同体为教师带来的归属感成为教师参赛的持续动力源泉。 展开更多

随着以智慧课堂、人工智能等为代表的新兴教育技术在国内外教育领域的建设与推广,教师面向智慧课堂的教学胜任力成为教育高质量发展的关键,培养从事智能工业工程的中职工科类教师的教学胜任力更是重中之重。文章通过构建面向智慧课堂的... 随着以智慧课堂、人工智能等为代表的新兴教育技术在国内外教育领域的建设与推广,教师面向智慧课堂的教学胜任力成为教育高质量发展的关键,培养从事智能工业工程的中职工科类教师的教学胜任力更是重中之重。文章通过构建面向智慧课堂的中职工科专业教学操作流程,确定模型的维度;结合文献研究法,初步凝练出面向智慧课堂的中职工科教师教学胜任力要素;借助德尔菲法、层次分析法等方法,构建面向智慧课堂的中职工科教师教学胜任力模型,并通过东西部两地的大样本(400人)检验了要素及模型的合理性、客观性和可靠性。通过研究得出,该模型构建的方法对科学建立教师能力标准具有参考价值,模型本身对中职学校未来5~10年选聘教师、开展教师培训、评估教师教学绩效具有一定的指导意义,有利于推动中职教师专业发展与能力升级,支撑我国工科领域高素质技术技能型人才的培养。 展开更多

区别于传统讲授式课堂,STEM课堂具有学科融合性、真实情境性、项目承载性,然而如何对其展开评价一直是个难题。作为循证评价的重要方式,课堂观察可为STEM教育质量评估提供可靠的教学实践证据与衡量标准。本文通过分析和比较国际典型的六... 区别于传统讲授式课堂,STEM课堂具有学科融合性、真实情境性、项目承载性,然而如何对其展开评价一直是个难题。作为循证评价的重要方式,课堂观察可为STEM教育质量评估提供可靠的教学实践证据与衡量标准。本文通过分析和比较国际典型的六套STEM课堂观察协议(RTOP、OTOP、UTOP、TDOP、COPUS、PORTAAL)发现:在构成要素上,各协议均体现了基于科学探究、先验知识、沟通合作、学科融合的教学方法,发展学生概念思维、批判思维、创新思维与元认知能力的认知目标,倡导自主、民主、互动的课堂文化氛围;在应用情境上,虽然所选协议能够从教学策略、课堂动态、师生互动等方面改善教学,但普遍存在观测学生学习行为不足、忽视技术作用、难以表征实践操作等问题。据此,本文基于探究共同体理论和TPACK框架将STEM课堂解构为教学存在、社会存在、技术存在三个维度,统摄STEM课堂观察的教师行为与学生行为,以学生为中心构建STEM课堂观察的L-PST双罗盘模型;基于评价设计、证据收集、评价实施三环节构建STEM课堂观察评价的三维矩阵,为教师和研究人员理解STEM课堂、选取适切的观察视角与评价工具、实施STEM课堂教学评价提供思路和借鉴。 展开更多
