Study on a Closed-Loop Air-Fuel Control System of Gasoline Engines by Simulation

In order to study the factors that influence the air fuel ratio(A/F), the amplitude and frequency of A/F fluctuation, to reform the control strategy, and to improve the efficiency of three way catalyst(TWC), a model of closed loop control system including the engine, air fuel mixing and transportation, oxygen sensor and controller, etc., is developed. Various factors that influence the A/F control are studied by simulation. The simulation results show that the reference voltage of oxygen sensor will influence the mean value of A/F ratio, the controller parameters will influence the amplitude of A/F fluctuation, and the operating conditions of the engine determine the frequency of A/F fluctuations, the amplitude of A/F fluctuation can be reduced to within demanded values by logical selection of the signal acquisition method and controller parameters. Higher A/F fluctuation frequency under high speed and load can be reduced through software delay in the controller. The A/F closed loop control system based on the simulation results, accompanied with a rare earth element TWC, gives a better efficiency of conversion against harmful emissions. 展开更多

In order to improve the steady state performance,dynamic response and power factor of traditional power factor correction(PFC)digital control method and reduce the harmonic distortion of input current,a double closed loop active power factorcorrection(APFC)control method with feed-forward is proposed.Firstly,the small signal model of Boost PFC control systemis built and the system transfer function is deduced,and then the parameters of the main device with Boost topology is estimated.By means of the feed-forward,the system can quickly respond to the change in input voltage.Furthermore,the use ofvoltage loop and current loop can achieve input current and output voltage regulation Simulink modeling shows that this methodcan effectively control the output voltage in case of input voltage largely fluctuating,improve the system dynamic response abilityand input power factor,and reduce the input current harmonic distortion 展开更多

With a focus on an industrial multivariable system, two subsystems including the flow and the level outputs are analysed and controlled, which have applicability in both real and academic environments. In such a case, at first, each subsystem is distinctively represented by its model, since the outcomes point out that the chosen models have the same behavior as corresponding ones. Then, the industrial multivariable system and its presentation are achieved in line with the integration of these subsystems, since the interaction between them can not actually be ignored. To analyze the interaction presented, the Gershgorin bands need to be acquired, where the results are used to modify the system parameters to appropriate values. Subsequently, in the view of modeling results, the control concept in two different techniques including sequential loop closing control(SLCC) scheme and diagonal dominance control(DDC) schemes is proposed to implement on the system through the Profibus network, as long as the OPC(OLE for process control) server is utilized to communicate between the control schemes presented and the multivariable system. The real test scenarios are carried out and the corresponding outcomes in their present forms are acquired. In the same way, the proposed control schemes results are compared with each other, where the real consequences verify the validity of them in the field of the presented industrial multivariable system control. 展开更多

The closed loop control model was built up for compensating the springback and enhancing the work piece precision.A coupled closed loop algorithm and a finite element method were developed to simulate and correct the springback of incremental sheet forming.A three-dimensional finite element model was established for simulation of springback in incremental sheet forming process.The closed loop algorithm of trajectory profile for the incremental sheet forming based on the wavelet transform combined with fast Fourier transform was constructed.The profile of processing tool path of shallow dishing with spherical surface was designed on the basis of the profile correction algorithm.The result shows that the algorithm can predict an ideal profile of processing track,and the springback error of incremental sheet forming is eliminated effectively.It has good convergence efficiency,and can improve the workpiece dimensional accuracy greatly. 展开更多

This paper presents an adaptive backstepping control design for a class of unmanned helicopters with parametric uncertainties. The control objective is to let the helicopter track some pre-defined position and yaw trajectories. In order to facilitate the control design, we divide the helicopter's dynamic model into three subsystems. The proposed controller combines the backstepping method with online parameter update laws to achieve the control objective. The global asymptotical stability (GAS) of the closed-loop system is proved by a Lyapunov based stability analysis. In this paper, the adaptive robust tracking control scheme is proposed for a class of multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) non-affine systems with uncertain structure and parameters, unknown control direction and unknown external disturbance based on backstepping technique. The MIMO non-affine system is first transformed into a time-varying system with strict feedback structure using the mean value theorem, and then the bounded time-varying parameters are estimated by adaptive algorithms with projection. To handle the possible 'controller singularity' problem caused by unknown control direction, a Nussbaum function is employed, and the dynamic surface control (DSC) method is applied to solve the problem of 'explosion of complexity' in backstepping control. It is proved that the proposed control scheme can guarantee that all signals of the closed-loop system are bounded through Lyapunov stability theorem and decoupled backstepping method. The attitude tracking control problem for a satellite with parameter uncertainties and external disturbances is considered in this paper. For this class of multi-input multi-output uncertain nonlinear systems, a design method of robust output tracking controllers is proposed based on the upper-bounds of the uncertainties. Using the input/output feedback linearization approach and Lyapunov method, a control law is designed, which guarantees that the system output exponentially tracks the given desired output. The proposed controller is easy to compute and complement. Simulation results show that, in the closed-loop system, precise attitude control is accomplished in spite of the uncertainties in the system. 展开更多

Firstly, the nonlinear error model is established completely by the modified Rodrigues parameters, while considering dynamics of the servo actuators. Then, a hierarchical control scheme is applied to design the translational and rotational controllers based on the time-scale property of each subsystem, respectively. And the linear extended state observer and auxiliary observer are used to deal with the uncertainties and saturation. At last, global stability of the closed-loop system is analyzed based on the singular perturbation theory. The nonlinear disturbance observer (NDO) is employed to tackle the system uncertainty as well as the external disturbance. To handle the input saturation, an auxiliary system is constructed as a saturation compensator. By using the backstepping technique and the dynamic surface method, a robust adaptive tracking control scheme is developed. The closed-loop system is proved to be uniformly ultimately bounded thorough Lyapunov stability analysis. Based on the characteristics of human brain and behavior, a new kind of fractional order mathematical model for human operator in single-input single-output (SISO) systems is proposed. Compared with the traditional models based on the commonly used quasilinear transfer function method or the optimal control theory method, the proposed fractional order model has simpler structure with only few parameters, and each parameter has explicit physical meanings. The required information about uncertainties in the system is merely that the uncertainties are bounded, but the upper bounds are incompletely known. This paper can be viewed as an extension of the work in reference [1]. To compensate the uncertainties, an adaptive robust controller based on Lyapunov method is proposed and the design algorithm is also suggested. Compared with some previous controllers which can only ensure ultimate uniform boundedness of the systems, the controller given in the paper can make sure that the obtained closed-loop system is asymptotically stable in the large. A deformation measurement method of interframe displacement was proposed in this paper. By online monitoring the shape di- mensions of both the deformation zone and its adjacent zone by machine vision, the initial and terminative positions of deformation were dynamically identified during dieless drawing, and the global monitoring and online closed-loop control of the deformation zone were achieved. The dieless drawing process was systematically carried out on NiTi shape memory alloy wires. It is shown that the deformation measurement method of interframe displacement can track the axial displacement of the wires, but this cannot be achieved by traditional machine vision. The initial and terminative positions of deformation can be accurately identified by this method. The proposed rectifying control technology can effectively decrease the wire diameter fluctuation during dieless drawing, that is, the standard deviation of the wire diameter fluctuation could be decreased fi'om 0.30 to 0.08 mm after three passes of dieless drawing, indicating that the control system has a good rectifying ability. 展开更多

The controller can not only stabilize the time-delay system, but also make the H∞ norm of the closed-loop system be less than a given bound. The plant is described by a linear interpolation of proper stable co-prime factorizations of the transfer functions at two representative operating points. An interpolation of the stabilizing controllers for the representative models is designed to stabilize the plant, and the necessary and sufficient condition for the plant to be stabilized by the proposed controller is presented using the Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation theory. It is shown that the class of stabilization plants via the proposed controller in the paper is larger than that by the controller in reference. An example is also given to illustrate this fact. 展开更多

Web service applications are increasing tremendously in support of high-level businesses.There must be a need of better server load balancing mechanism for improving the performance of web services in business.Though many load balancing methods exist,there is still a need for sophisticated load bal-ancing mechanism for not letting the clients to get frustrated.In this work,the ser-ver with minimum response time and the server having less traffic volume were selected for the aimed server to process the forthcoming requests.The Servers are probed with adaptive control of time with two thresholds L and U to indicate the status of server load in terms of response time difference as low,medium and high load by the load balancing application.Fetching the real time responses of entire servers in the server farm is a key component of this intelligent Load balancing system.Many Load Balancing schemes are based on the graded thresholds,because the exact information about the networkflux is difficult to obtain.Using two thresholds L and U,it is possible to indicate the load on particular server as low,medium or high depending on the Maximum response time difference of the servers present in the server farm which is below L,between L and U or above U respectively.However,the existing works of load balancing in the server farm incorporatefixed time to measure real time response time,which in general are not optimal for all traffic conditions.Therefore,an algorithm based on Propor-tional Integration and Derivative neural network controller was designed with two thresholds for tuning the timing to probe the server for near optimal perfor-mance.The emulation results has shown a significant gain in the performance by tuning the threshold time.In addition to that,tuning algorithm is implemented in conjunction with Load Balancing scheme which does not tune thefixed time slots. 展开更多

Through a third⁃order mathematical model of grid⁃oriented LCL⁃type converters,this paper analyzes the complicated dynamic characteristics and resonance problems which may influence the system stability.To realize active damping for LCL filters and improve dynamic performance of current regulators,a state space current PI controller is proposed whose parameters can be tuned based on the polynomial equations approach.An extended state observer is integrated with the regulation scheme,where additional sensors are not necessary in contrast with conventional active damping strategies.Synchronous reference frame PLL(SRF⁃PLL)equipped with filter technology is proposed for grid voltage disturbance suppression.This method is then applied to establish a double⁃closed⁃loop power regulator that demonstrates improved performance compared with other controllers.The simulation results are displayed to illustrate the efficiency of the regulation methods. 展开更多

This paper presents a novel design method of force rebalance control for the sense mode of micromachined vibratory gyroscopes.Specific theoretical deductions are performed to identify a precise linear model of the open loop system of the sense mode,which is crucial for the PI controller design.The frequency responses obtained by experimental tests agree well with those calculated with the theoretical model,indicating the accuracy of the theoretical analyses.Experimental results demonstrate that the bandwidth of the closed loop is extended to 94.8 Hz from 2.3 Hz in the open loop and the quadrature signal is suppressed by about 64 dBV in the closed loop system.The overshoot and stable time in the step response of the closed loop system are measured to be about 15% and 35 ms,respectively.The mode-splitting gyroscope with the closed loop controlled sense mode achieves a scale factor of 41.0 mV/deg/s with nonlinearity of 0.09% and asymmetry of 1%,and a bias instability of 4.0 °/h with angle random walk of 0.171 deg/h1/2. 展开更多

Based on the shape detecting principle, the shape detecting roller is designed with a new integral structure for improving the precision of shape detecting and avoiding scratching strip surface. Based on the DSP technology, the DSP shape signal processing circuit board is designed and embedded in the shape detecting system for the reliability and stability of shape signal processing. The shape detecting system was successfully used in Angang 1 250 mm HC 6-high reversible cold rolling mill. The precision of shape detecting is 0.2 I and the shape deviation is controlled within 6 1 after the close loop shape control is input. 展开更多

In order to adapt to the changes in the states of moving targets and meet the requirements of quality of service in communication among unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the UAVs formation needs to dynamically adjust tracking tasks and tracking paths, when they carry out a mission of tracking multiple moving targets. A multi-targets tracking algorithm based on task allocation consensus is proposed for UAVs to track multiple moving targets under the distributed control architecture in the limited communication range. This algorithm creates a distributed dynamic task allocation model using intermittent asynchronous communication principle to realize the sharing of observation information gathered by each UAV with fewer communications. In addition, this algorithm also makes it possible that multi-UAVs can plan tracking paths for multiple moving targets.
