Anoxic/oxic (A/O) biochemical system, based on nitrification and denitrification reactions, was used to assess their possible biodegradation. Because of the negative effects of high salt concentration (3%), heavy metals and toxic organic matter on microorganisms’ activities, some techniques consisting of dilution, coagulation and flocculation, and ozonation pretreatments, were gradually tested to evaluate chemical oxygen demand (COD), ammonia-nitrogen (ammonia-N) and total nitrogen (TN) removal rates. In this process of FCC wastewater, starting with university-domesticated sludge, the ammonia-N and TN removal rates were worst. However, when using domesticated SBR’s sludge and operating with five-fold daily diluted influent (thus reducing salt concentration), the ammonia-N removal reached about 57% while the TN removal rate was less than 37% meaning an amelioration of the nitrification process. However, by reducing the dilution factors, these results were inflected after some days of operation, with ammonia-N removal decreasing and TN barely removed meaning a poor nitrification. Even by reducing heavy metals concentration with coagulation/flocculation process, the results never changed. Thereafter, by using ozonation pre-treatment to degrade the detected organic matter of di-tert-butylphenol and certain isoparaffins, COD, ammonia-N and TN removal rates reached 92%, 62% and 61%, respectively. These results showed that the activities of the microorganisms were increased, thus indicating a net denitrification and nitrification reactions improvement.展开更多

A study of thermal parameters such as: heating speed, retention time, drying temperature, carbonization temperature, particle size, was carried out with the aim of determining the characteristic factors of the carbonization of Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), sawdust (SC) and sawdust/polyethylene terephthalate (CPS) mixture. The results of the immediate analysis revealed a very low level of ash in PET (0.013%) compared to the level of ash in sawdust (2.9%), as well as a high level of fixed carbon (82.960%), which suggests the presence of mineral oxides and a significant carbon matrix unlike PET, which indicates a very significant organic matrix (essentially made up of organic matter) with the absence of mineral oxides. The study of thermal parameters showed the water loss from Sawdust (SC) and the Sawdust/Polyethylene terephthalate (CPS) mixture, an increase with temperature, unlike that of PET whose variation is essentially zero. Without heat treatment, sawdust alone contains approximately 7% water. The optimal drying temperature for this study is 110˚C for a stay of 24 hours. It appears that the largest mass losses for the PET samples are between 87.19% and 96.05%, followed by that of the mixture, between 47.33% and 64.37%. And the lowest are observed, those of sawdust (from 24.02% to 62.6%). However, here we can say that the influence of the mass is not great, given the slight difference between the losses by temperature. The results of the study of the influence of grain size showed that the differences are insignificant, even if we vary the diameter of the grains from simple to triple. To better minimize physical constraints such as the intragranular diffusibility of the volatile matter and the homogeneity of the temperature in the grains, 75 μm particles are found to be optimal for our study. It can be noted when studying the heating rate that the mass loss at the end of the reaction is approximately the same depending on each precursor material. However, it has been demonstrated that the heating rate strongly influences the nature of the reaction products both for volatile materials and for the solid residue as well as on the kinetic parameters of the chemical reaction. Furthermore, the variation in apparent density shows a decrease as a function of the increase in the residence time of the materials in the reactor. As the carbonization time increases, the apparent density decreases. We note, for the lignocellulosic material, that the apparent density stabilizes after 60 minutes.展开更多

In this method, the long-short-term memory(LSTM) neural network is nested into the extended Kalman filter(EKF) to modify the Kalman gain such that the filtering performance is improved in the presence of large model uncertainties. To avoid the unstable network output caused by the abrupt changes of system states,an adaptive correction factor is introduced to correct the network output online. In the process of training the network, a multi-gradient descent learning mode is proposed to better fit the internal state of the system, and a rolling training is used to implement an online prediction logic. Based on the Lyapunov second method, we discuss the stability of the system, the result shows that when the training error of neural network is sufficiently small, the system is asymptotically stable. With its application to the estimation of time-varying parameters of a missile dual control system, the LSTM-EKF shows better filtering performance than the EKF and adaptive EKF(AEKF) when there exist large uncertainties in the system model.展开更多

The effects of preparation parameters(such as argon–oxygen flow ratio, sputtering power, sputtering time and annealing temperature)on the growth and properties(e.g., surface morphology, crystal structure, optical and electrical properties of the films) are studied by x-ray diffractometer(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM), and ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer(UV-Vis). The results show that the thickness, crystallization quality and surface roughness of the β-Ga_(2)O_(3) film are influenced by those parameters. All β-Ga_(2)O_(3) films show good optical properties. Moreover, the value of bandgap increases with the enlarge of the percentage of oxygen increasing, and decreases with the increase of sputtering power and annealing temperature, indicating that the bandgap is related to the quality of the film and affected by the number of oxygen vacancy defects. The I–V curves show that the Ohmic behavior between metal and β-Ga_(2)O_(3) films is obtained at 900℃. Those results will be helpful for the further research of β-Ga_(2)O_(3) photoelectric semiconductor.展开更多

This new type is a combination of zinc oxide nanoparticles and polyferric sulfate (ZnOPFS). The structure of zinc oxide nanoparticles was determined by spectroscopic, X-ray and electron microscopy methods, and based on this, it was determined that ZnOPFS is a complex and mixed compound that is mainly composed of zinc oxide nanoparticles and ferric sulfate. The effects of Zn/Fe (Zn/Fe) molar ratio and aging (time) on acidity and zeta potential were also evaluated using a specific method. The obtained results showed that in the simultaneous deposition process, zinc ions can prevent the formation of polyferric acid coagulation and subsequently improve the stability of ZnOPFS.展开更多

Using filtration setups, coagulation could lessen virus charges as an efficient pre-treatment for reducing viruses. This work discusses the present-day studies on virus mitigation using coagulation in its three versions i.e., chemical coagulation (CC), enhanced coagulation, and electrocoagulation (EC), and debates the new results of virus demobilization. The complexity of viruses as bioparticles and the process of virus demobilization should be adopted, even if the contribution of permeability in virus sorption and aggregation needs to be clarified. The information about virion permeability has been evaluated by interpreting empirical electrophoretic mobility (EM). No practical measures of virion permeability exist, a clear link between permeability and virion composition and morphology has not been advanced, and the direct influence of inner virion structures on surface charge or sorption has yet to be conclusively demonstrated. CC setups utilizing zero-valent or ferrous iron could be killed by iron oxidation, possibly using EC and electrooxidation (EO) methods. The oxidants evolution in the iron oxidation method has depicted promising findings in demobilizing bacteriophage MS2, even if follow-up investigations employing an elution method are needed to secure that bacteriophage elimination is related to demobilization rather than sorption. As a perspective, we could be apt to anticipate virus conduct and determine new bacteriophage surrogates following subtle aspects such as protein structures or genome size and conformation. The present discussion’s advantages would extend far beyond an application in CC—from filtration setups to demobilization by nanoparticles to modeling virus fate and persistence in nature.展开更多

文摘As an independent sand control unit or a common protective shell of a high-quality screen, the punching screen is the outermost sand retaining unit of the sand control pipe which is used in geothermal well or oil and gas well. However, most screens only consider the influence of the internal sand retaining medium parameters in the sand control performance design while ignoring the influence of the plugging of the punching screen on the overall sand retaining performance of the screen. To explore the clogging mechanism of the punching screen, this paper established the clogging mechanism calculation model of a single punching screen sand control unit by using the computational fluid mechanics-discrete element method(CFD-DEM)combined method.According to the combined motion of particles and fluids, the influence of the internal flow state on particle motion and accumulation was analyzed. The results showed that(1)the clogging process of the punching sand control unit is divided into three stages:initial clogging, aggravation of clogging and stability of clogging. In the initial stage of blockage, coarse particles form a loose bridge structure, and blockage often occurs preferentially at the streamline gathering place below chamfering inside the sand control unit.In the stage of blockage intensification, the particle mass develops into a relatively complete sand bridge, which develops from both ends of the opening to the center of the opening. In the stable plugging stage, the sand deposits show a“fan shape”and form a“V-shaped”gully inside the punching slot element.(2)Under a certain reservoir particle-size distribution,The slit length and opening height have a large influence on the permeability and blockage rate, while the slit width size has little influence on the permeability and blockage rate. The microscopic clogging mechanism and its law of the punching screen prevention unit are proposed in this study, which has some field guidance significance for the design of punching screen and sand prevention selection.

文摘This paper investigates the adaptive trajectory tracking control problem and the unknown parameter identification problem of a class of rotor-missiles with parametric system uncertainties.First, considering the uncertainty of structural and aerodynamic parameters, the six-degree-of-freedom(6Do F) nonlinear equations describing the position and attitude dynamics of the rotor-missile are established, respectively,in the inertial and body-fixed reference frames.Next,a hierarchical adaptive trajectory tracking controller that can guarantee closed-loop stability is proposed according to the cascade characteristics of the 6Do F dynamics. Then,a memory-augmented update rule of unknown parameters is proposed by integrating all historical data of the regression matrix. As long as the finitely excited condition is satisfied, the precise identification of unknown parameters can be achieved. Finally, the validity of the proposed trajectory tracking controller and the parameter identification method is proved through Lyapunov stability theory and numerical simulations.

文摘AIM:To quantitatively measure ocular morphological parameters of guinea pig with Python technology.METHODS:Thirty-six eyeballs of eighteen 3-weekold guinea pigs were measured with keratometer and photographed to obtain the horizontal, coronal, and sagittal planes respectively. The corresponding photo pixels-actual length ratio was acquired by a proportional scale. The edge coordinates were identified artificially by ginput function.Circle and conic curve fitting were applied to fit the contour of the eyeball in the sagittal, coronal and horizontal view. The curvature, curvature radius, eccentricity, tilt angle, corneal diameter, and binocular separation angle were calculated according to the geometric principles.Next, the eyeballs were removed, canny edge detection was applied to identify the contour of eyeball in vitro. The results were compared between in vivo and in vitro.RESULTS:Regarding the corneal curvature and curvature radius on the horizontal and sagittal planes,no significant differences were observed among results in vivo,in vitro, and the keratometer. The horizontal and vertical binocular separation angles were 130.6°±6.39°and 129.8°±9.58°respectively.For the corneal curvature radius and eccentricity in vivo, significant differences were observed between horizontal and vertical planes.CONCLUSION:The Graphical interface window of Python makes up the deficiency of edge detection, which requires too much definition in Matlab. There are significant differences between guinea pig and human beings, such as exotropic eye position, oblique oval eyeball, and obvious discrepancy of binoculus. This study helps evaluate objectively the ocular morphological parameters of small experimental animals in emmetropization research.

文摘Geomechanical parameters of intact metamorphic rocks determined from laboratory testing remain highly uncertain because of the great intrinsic variability associated with the degrees of metamorphism. The aim of this paper is to develop a proper methodology to analyze the uncertainties of geomechanical characteristics by focusing on three domains,i.e.data treatment process, schistosity angle, and mineralogy.First, the variabilities of the geomechanical laboratory data of Westwood Mine(Quebec,Canada)were examined statistically by applying different data treatment techniques, through which the most suitable outlier methods were selected for each parameter using multiple decision-making criteria and engineering judgment. Results indicated that some methods exhibited better performance in identifying the possible outliers, although several others were unsuccessful because of their limitation in large sample size. The well-known boxplot method might not be the best outlier method for most geomechanical parameters because its calculated confidence range was not acceptable according to engineering judgment. However, several approaches, including adjusted boxplot,2MADe,and 2SD,worked very well in the detection of true outliers. Also, the statistical tests indicate that the best-fitting probability distribution function for geomechanical intact parameters might not be the normal distribution, unlike what is assumed in most geomechanical studies. Moreover, the negative effects of schistosity angle on the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)variabilities were reduced by excluding the samples within a specific angle range where the UCS data present the highest variation. Finally,a petrographic analysis was conducted to assess the associated uncertainties such that a logical link was found between the dispersion and the variabilities of hard and soft minerals.
文摘Fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) salty wastewaters, containing quaternary ammonium compounds (QACs), are very difficult to treat by biochemical process. These results showed that the activities of the microorganisms were increased, thus indicating a net denitrification and nitrification reactions improvement.

文摘The extruded AZ80+0.4%Ce magnesium alloy was twisted in the temperature range of 300-380℃by using a Gleeble 3500 thermal simulation test machine with a torsion unit. The deformed cylindrical specimens were cooled at a cooling rate of 10℃/s or 0.1℃/s,respectively,and aged at 170℃.The microstructure analysis results showed that the grain size decreased with increasing specimen radial position from center(SRPC),and that the strong initial basal texture of the extruded magnesium alloy was weakened. Both continuous and discontinuous dynamic recrystallization mechanisms were involved in contributing to the grain refinement for all specimens investigated. And a novel extension twinning induced dynamic recrystallization mechanism was proposed for specimen deformed at 300℃.For the specimens deformed at 300℃and 340℃followed by a slow cooling rate(0.1℃/s),precipitates of various shapes(β-Mg_(17)Al_(12)),with the dominant precipitates being on the grains boundaries, appeared on the surface section. For specimen deformed at 380℃,lamellar precipitates(LPS)in the interiors of the grains were predominant. After aging, the LPS still dominated for specimens twisted at 380℃;however,the LPS gradually decreased with decreasing deformation temperatures from 380℃to 300℃.Dynamically precipitatedβ,especially those decorating the grain boundaries, changed the competition pictures for the LPS and precipitates of other shapes after aging.Interestingly,LPS dominated the areas for the center section of the specimens after aging regardless of deformation temperatures.Low temperature deformation with high SRPC followed by rapid cooling rate increased the micro hardness of the alloy after aging due to refined grain, reduced precipitates size, decreased lamellar spacing as well as strain hardening.

文摘The dynamic parameters for internal solitary waves(ISWs)derived from the extended Korteweg-de Vries(eKdV)equation play an important role in the understanding and prediction of ISWs.The spatiotemporal variations of the dynamic parameters of the ISWs in the northern South China Sea(SCS)were studied based on the reanalysis of long-term temperature and salinity datasets. The results for spectrum analysis show that there are definite geographical differences for the periodic variation of the parameters:in shallow water, all parameters vary with a wave period of one year, while in deep water wave components of the parameters at other frequencies exist.Using wavelet analysis, the wavelet power spectral densities in deep water exhibited an inter-annual variation pattern. For example, the wave component of the dispersion coefficient with a wave period of about half a year reached its power peak once every two years.Based on previous work, this inter-annual variation pattern was deduced to be caused by dynamic processes. In further work on the regulatory mechanisms, empirical orthogonal function(EOF)decomposition was performed. It was found that the modes of the dispersion coefficient have different geographical distributions, explaining the reason why the wave components in different frequencies appeared in different locations. The numerical simulation results confirm that the variations in the parameters of the ISWs derived from the eKdV equation could affect the waveforms significantly because of changes in the polarity of the ISWs.Therefore, the periodic variations of the dynamic parameters are related to the geographical location because of dynamic processes operating.

文摘Several works have been based on the study of thermal variations in biomass to derive more valuable products such as fuels capable of replacing oil in the event of a crisis or activated carbon used as an adsorbent material, widely used in industry for the elimination of unwanted materials, both in liquid and gaseous environments. We note, for the lignocellulosic material, that the apparent density stabilizes after 60 minutes.
文摘In this paper, a filtering method is presented to estimate time-varying parameters of a missile dual control system with tail fins and reaction jets as control variables. With its application to the estimation of time-varying parameters of a missile dual control system, the LSTM-EKF shows better filtering performance than the EKF and adaptive EKF(AEKF) when there exist large uncertainties in the system model.
文摘Objective:To evaluate coagulation abnormalities and their relationship with bleeding manifestations among patients with dengue. Methods:This observational study was conducted on 292 adult dengue patients who were admitted to a tertiary care hospital of Western India from July 2021 to June 2022.Coagulation tests including prothrombin time(PT),international normalized ratio(INR),activated partial thromboplastin time(aPTT),fibrinogen, and D-dimer were performed.Patients were monitored for bleeding manifestations. Results:Coagulation abnormalities were reported in 42.8%of the patients.Overall, prolonged aPTT was the most common coagulation abnormality(40.8%),followed by low fibrinogen(38.7%),raised D-dimer(31.2%),raised INR(26.0%)and prolonged PT(19.2%).Bleeding manifestations were present in 19.9%patients.PT,INR,aPTT and D-dimer levels were significantly higher(P<0.01)and fibrinogen level was significantly lower(P<0.001)in patients with bleeding compared to patients without bleeding.Patients with bleeding had a significantly higher rate of all coagulation abnormalities than patients without bleeding(P<0.01).Conclusions:Patients with bleeding showed a significantly higher frequency of coagulation abnormalities compared to patients without bleeding.Patients with dengue should be assessed for coagulation abnormalities.
文摘In this study,we used plasma factor V activity and parameters of the thrombin generation test to discuss their diagnostic and prognostic value for disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) in patients with hematological malignancies.A total of 164 patients who were diagnosed with hematological malignancies in the Department of Hematology,Union Hospital, between Apr 2014 and Dec.2014 were enrolled in this study. There were 131 patients in the study group and 33 patients in the control group in terms of the laboratory results for DIC.The patients in the study group were divided into a DIC subgroup (n=59) and a non-DIC subgroup (n=72) based on the International Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ISTH) Integral System, and they were divided into four subgroups [score ≤3 (n=35),score=4 (n=37),score=5 (n=47),and score >6 (n=12)] according to ISTH scores.Using 28-day mortality as the endpoint, the patients in the study group were divided into a survival subgroup (n=111) and a non-survival subgroup (n=20).The results showed that the plasma factor V activity was significantly weaker, and lag time and time to peak were significantly shorter in the study group than in the control group (P<0.01).The factor V activity, peak and endogenous thrombin potential (ETP) were significantly decreased in the DIC subgroup as compared with those in the non-DIC subgroup (P<0.01).Among factor V activity, lag time, peak,ETP,and ttPeak, only the factor V activity was significantly decreased in the nonsurvival subgroup compared with the survival subgroup (P<0.01).With the increase in ISTH score, the ETP and peak decreased gradually. The binary logistic regression analysis revealed that PLT,D-dimer,factor V activity and ETP had linear relationship with DIC diagnosed by ISTH Integral System.Using DIC diagnosed by ISTH Integral System as the endpoint, the area under curve (AUC) of factor V activity was found to be similar to that of blood platelet count (PLT) and prothrombin time (PT).In conclusion, factor V activity,ETP and peak had diagnostic value for DIC in patients with hematological malignancies, and only factor V activity had limited prognostic value.
文摘AIM:To investigate the effects of diode laser treatment on ocular biometric parameters in premature infants with retinopathy of prematurity(ROP).METHODS:Premature infants who received diode laser treatment for ROP(n=68)and premature infants with spontaneous regressed ROP without treatment(n=50)were performed longitudinal ocular biometric measurements including anterior chamber depth, lens thickness and axial length as follows:1 d prior to laser treatment, and 3,6,9,and 12 mo after the laser treatment.RESULTS:The mean birth weight, gestational age and initial examination time values were 936.53±302.07 g,26.66±2.42 wk,36.26±2.73 wk in the treatment group and 959.78±260.08 g,27.28±2.10 wk,36.56±2.54 wk in the control group. There was no statistically significant difference in these demographic characteristics of the groups.Anterior chamber depth, lens thickness and axial length demonstrated statistically significant linear increases during the study period in the two groups(P<0.001 for each). There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in terms of anterior chamber depth after laser treatment.Measurements of the lens thickness at 9 th and 12 th months(9 th month 3.70±0.22 vs 3.60±0.21 mm,P=0.017;12 th month 3.81±0.21 vs 3.69±0.22 mm,P=0.002)and the axial length at 12 th month(19.35±0.79 vs 19.13±0.54 mm,P=0.031)after laser treatment were statistically higher in the treatment group.CONCLUSION:Diode laser retinal photocoagulation treatment in premature infants seems to increase the lens thickness and axial length.

文摘High-performance thermoplastic composites have been developed as significant structural materials for cutting-edge equipment in the aerospace and defence fields. However, the internal mechanism of processing parameters on mechanical properties in the manufacturing process of thermoplastic composite structures is still a serious challenge. The purpose of this study is to investigate the process/crystallization/property relationships for continuous carbon fiber(CF)reinforced polyether-ether-ketone(PEEK)composites.The composite laminates are fabricated according to orthogonal experiments via the thermoforming method. The mechanical performance is investigated in terms of crystallization properties and fracture morphology characterizations.Experimental results show that the mechanical performance and crystallization properties of thermoplastic composites are significantly affected by the coupling of processing parameters. The increased molding temperature, pressure, and holding time improve the degree of fiber/matrix infiltration and affect the crystallinity and crystalline morphology of the matrix, which further influences the mechanical properties of the composites. This is reflected in the test results that crystallinity has an approximately linear effect on mode-I interlaminar fracture toughness and transverse flexural modulus. As well as the higher molding temperature can destroy the pre-existent crystals to improve the toughness of the matrix, and the well-defined crystalline structures can be observed when fabricated at higher temperatures and longer periods of holding time.

文摘The Ga_(2)O_(3) films are deposited on the Si and quartz substrates by magnetron sputtering, and annealing. Those results will be helpful for the further research of β-Ga_(2)O_(3) photoelectric semiconductor.
文摘In this article, a new type of coagulant material has been investigated and the performance of the coagulation process using this type of coagulant was evaluated. The obtained results showed that in the simultaneous deposition process, zinc ions can prevent the formation of polyferric acid coagulation and subsequently improve the stability of ZnOPFS.

文摘Squeeze casting(SC)is an advanced net manufacturing process with many advantages for which the quality and properties of the manufactured parts depend strongly on the process parameters.Unfortunately,a universal efficient method for the determination of optimal process parameters is still unavailable. In view of the shortcomings and development needs of the current research methods for the setting of SC process parameters,by consulting and analyzing the recent research literature on SC process parameters and using the CiteSpace literature analysis software, manual reading and statistical analysis, the current state and characteristics of the research methods used for the determination of SC process parameters are summarized. The literature data show that the number of pub-lications in the literature related to the design of SC process parameters generally trends upward albeit with signifi-cant fluctuations.Analysis of the research focus shows that both“mechanical properties”and“microstructure”are the two main subjects in the studies of SC process parameters. With regard to materials, aluminum alloys have been extensively studied.Five methods have been used to obtain SC process parameters:Physical experiments,numeri-cal simulation, modeling optimization, formula calculation, and the use of empirical values.Physical experiments are the main research methods. The main methods for designing SC process parameters are divided into three categories:Fully experimental methods, optimization methods that involve modeling based on experimental data, and theoreti-cal calculation methods that involve establishing an analytical formula. The research characteristics and shortcomings of each method were analyzed.Numerical simulations and model-based optimization have become the new required methods.Considering the development needs and data-driven trends of the SC process, suggestions for the develop-ment of SC process parameter research have been proposed.

文摘Waterborne viruses account for 30% to 40% of infectious diarrhea, and some viruses could persevere for some months in nature and move up to 100 m in groundwater. The present discussion’s advantages would extend far beyond an application in CC—from filtration setups to demobilization by nanoparticles to modeling virus fate and persistence in nature.
