Main trace element levels (F, As, Hg, and Pb) in shallow groundwater in the reclamation area may be affected by leaching from the gangue. This can has an impact on the application of the water for agricul- tural irrigation or use as drinking water. Therefore, it is of great significance to understand the effect coal gangue has on the shallow groundwater of a reclaimed area. We studied the effect of coal gangue on fluo- rine, arsenic, mercury, and lead levels in the shallow groundwater of a reclamation area by testing the water and the coal gangue. One well near the reclamation area was used as a control well and element levels in water from this well and from the soil next to the well were also measured. The results show that the levels of these elements are increasing in the reclamation area over time. The increase in fluorine, arsenic, mercury, and lead in monitor wells varies from 7.42% to 8.26%, from 7.13% to 7.90%, from 4.85% to 6.48%, and from 4.69% to 6.42%, respectively. Fluorine and arsenic levels are lower in monitor wells than in the control water. The other elements are found in greater concentration than in the control. The Nemerow index also indicates that the shallow groundwater in the reclamation area I is moderately affected by the back-filling coal gangue, while the shallow groundwater in the reclamation area II and III are slightly affected by the back-filling coal gangue. This shallow groundwater could be used for agri- cultural irrigation or for drinking.展开更多

Owing to humid weather, heavy rainfall, vegetation and porous characteris- tics of the soil and rock mass, the steep slope will be destabilized and induce mud-rock flow or derive hazard easily. Firstly, based on the classical slope reinforcement theory, some regularity between the shear and displacement in the destabilized zone of the slope with or without root strength contribution is presented. The gas hydrate reservoir in the Shenhu area of China,is mainly composed of fine-grained clay silt with low permeability, and very difficult for exploitation, which is very different from those discovered in the USA,and Canada (both are conglomerate),Japan (generally, coarse sand)and India (fracture-filled gas hydrate).Based on 3D seismic data preserved-amplitude processing and fine imaging, combined with logging-while-drilling (LWD)and core analysis data, this paper discusses the identification and reservoir characterization of gas hydrate orebodies in the Shenhu production test area.We also describe the distribution characteristics of the gas hydrate deposits and provided reliable data support for the optimization of the production well location.Through BSR feature recognition, seismic attribute analysis, model based seismic inversion and gas hydrate reservoir characterization, this paper describes two relatively independent gas hydrate orebodies in the Shenhu area, which are distributed in the north-south strip and tend to be thicker in the middle and thinner at the edge. The effective thickness of one orebody is bigger but the distribution area is relatively small. The model calculation results show that the distribution area of the gas hydrate orebody controlled by W 18/W 19 is about 11.24 km^2,with an average thickness of 19 m and a maximum thickness of 39 m,and the distribution area of the gas hydrate orebody controlled by W11/W17 is about 6.42 km^2,with an average thickness of 26 m and a maximum thickness of 90 m.展开更多

Therefore it is of great practical importance to probe the rules of the effect from coal resource exploration on arable land. Suitable and effective measures to compensate for damaged to and loss of arable land resources should be taken on the basis of carrying out green mining and reducing damage to limited arable land resources. We have used GIS in simulating the effect of coal resource exploration on arable land. In light of our simulation of the space-time spectrum, the effect is analyzed. Given the socio-economic development conditions of a mining area, specified rational amounts and opportunities for compensation to arable land in mining areas are explored. Finally, from a policy perspective, relevant proposals for rational arable land resource compensation are proposed to facilitate the coordinated development between coal resource exploitation and socio-economy development in mining areas.展开更多

文摘Optimization of fracturing perforation is of great importance to the commingling gas production in coal measure strata. In this paper,a 3 D lattice algorithm hydraulic fracturing simulator was employed to study the effects of perforation position and length on hydraulic fracture propagation in coal measures of the Lin-Xing block,China.Based on field data, three lithologic combinations are simulated:1)a thick section of coal seam sandwiched by sandstones;2)a thin coal seam layer overlay by gas-bearing tight sandstone;3)two coal seams separated by a thin layer of sandstone. Our simulation shows that perforation position and length in multi-layer reservoirs play a major role in hydraulic fracture propagation.Achieving maximum stimulated volume requires consideration of lithologic sequence, coal seam thickness, stress states, and rock properties. To improve the combined gas production in coal measure strata,it is possible to simultaneously stimulate multiple coal seams or adjacent gas-bearing sandstones. In these cases, perforation location and length also significantly impact fracture propagation, and therefore should be carefully designed. Our simulation results using 3 D lattice algorithm are qualitatively consistent with laboratory physical simulation.3 D lattice models can be used to effectively simulate the fracture propagation through layers in coal measure strata. The numerical results provide guidance for perforation optimization in the hydraulic fracturing of coal measure strata.

文摘We applied the reflectivity method and the constrained sparse spike inverse modeling(CSSI) method to the interpretation of coal field lithologic seismic data. After introducing the principles of these two methods we discuss some parameters of a geological model involving possible gas enriched areas or intruded igneous rock. The geological model was constructed and a 60 Hz seismic response profile was obtained looking for igneous rock intrusion and coked areas of the coal seam using the reflectivity method.Starting from synthesized logging data from two wells and a synthesized seismic wavelet we calibrated the model to show accurate strata. Finally,we predicted the lithology within a 10 m igneous rock area,a 3 m coal seam area, and a coked area using the CSSI technique. The results show that the CSSI technique can identify hard to recognize lithologic features that normal profil-ing methods might miss.It can quantitatively analyze and evaluate the intrusive area, the coked area, and the gas-enriched area.

文摘The exploitation of coal resources inevitably affects, to different degrees, arable land resources and impacts the socio-economic development in mining areas. Finally, from a policy perspective, relevant proposals for rational arable land resource compensation are proposed to facilitate the coordinated development between coal resource exploitation and socio-economy development in mining areas.
