After processing intra-set correlations, 28 groups of highly correlated symptoms, 21 groups of highly correlated tongue images, 10 groups of highly correlated pulse conditions, 28 groups of highly correlated pathogenesis, 34 groups of highly correlated herbs, and 26 groups of highly correlated western medicine diagnosis were selected. Professor ZHOU Zhongying treats thyroid cancer according to syndrome differentiation. Symptoms with more association rules included neck swelling, neck pain, cough, and dry mouth;tongue images with more association rules included dark purple tongue, dark red tongue, and fissured tongue;pulse conditions with more association rules were wiry pulse, thready pulse, small pulse, and slippery pulse;the pathogenesis with more association rules was phlegm and blood stasis, damp-heat accumulation, and impairment of both Qi and Yin;herbs with more association rules were Chaihu(Bupleuri Radix), Zeqi(Sun Euphoribiae Herb), and Tiandong(Asparagi Radix);western medicine diagnosis with more association rules included thyroid cancer, insomnia, and chronic gastritis. Conclusion Thyroid cancer mostly presents as deficiency in origin and excess in manifestations. The basic pathogenesis is phlegm and blood stasis, damp-heat accumulation, and impairment of both Qi and Yin, which are closely related to liver, kidney, and spleen. Professor ZHOU Zhongying adopts both attack and supplement approaches as the general treatment principle, with a strong emphasis on regulating Qi and relieving depression, eliminating phlegm and resolving stagnation, eliminating dampness and turbidity, clearing fire and destroying poison, moistening dryness and softening hard mass, invigorating Qi and nourishing Yin, and paying attention to nourishing liver and kidney, invigorating spleen and stomach, while protecting the heart and lungs.展开更多

Combination of the He and Mu acupoints is commonly used and has a synergistic effect on functional dyspepsia; however, its underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Therefore, a randomized controlled parallel clinical trial is currently underway at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China. This trial is designed to explore the efficacy of and central responses to the He-Mu point combination in patients with functional dyspepsia using functional magnetic resonance imaging. A total of 105 patients with functional dyspepsia will be allocated into 3 groups: the low-He point group(puncturing at Zusanli(ST36)), Mu point group(puncturing at Zhongwan(CV12)), and He-Mu point combination group(puncturing at ST36 and CV12). Every participant will receive 20 sessions of manual acupuncture for 4 weeks. The needles will be inserted perpendicularly to a depth of 1 to 2 cun. The angle of rotation and twisting will range from 90 to 180 degrees, while lifting and thrusting will range from 0.3 to 0.5 cm. The various manipulations will be performed 60 to 90 times per minute. The needles will remain in place for 30 minutes, during which manipulation will be applied every 10 minutes. Magnetic resonance imaging will be performed before and after 20 sessions of acupuncture. The primary outcome is symptom improvement according to the Chinese version of the Nepean Dyspepsia Index. Secondary outcomes include the Leeds dyspepsia questionnaire, Self-Rating Anxiety Scale, Self-Rating Depression Scale, Beck Anxiety Inventory, Beck Depression Inventory, and visual analogue scale scores before and after 10 and 20 sessions of acupuncture. Needle sensation and adverse events will be used to assess the therapeutic effects. This study will promote more widespread awareness of the benefits of acupoint combination in the clinical setting and provide a further explanation of the neuromechanism by which acupuncture at the He-Mu point combination for functional dyspepsia. 文摘Acupuncture is widely used to treat functional dyspepsia with satisfactory outcomes. 文摘BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)is the most important infectious agent and plays an important role in the progression of chronic gastritis and the development of gastric cancer.AIM To identify efficient therapeutic agents or strategies that can treat H.pylori infection.METHODS We performed literature analysis, experimental validation, and network pharmacology.First, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)prescriptions for the treatment of H.pylori infection were obtained from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure,China Biology Medicine,China Science and Technology Journal Database, and WanFang databases. In addition,we conducted a relevant search by Reference Citation Analysis(RCA)(https://www.referencecitationanalysis.com).Next,we used TCM Inheritance Support System V2.5 to identify core drug combinations in the TCM prescriptions. Then,an H.pylori-associated chronic mouse model of gastritis was established. The antibacterial properties and antiinflammatory potential of the core drug combination were evaluated by the rapid urease test, modified Warthin-Starry silver staining, histopathological analysis, and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Finally, the active compounds, hub targets, and potential signaling pathways associated with the core drug combination were analyzed by network pharmacology.RESULTS The TCM treatment of H.pylori was mainly based on reinforcing the healthy Qi and eliminating pathogenic factors by simultaneously applying pungent dispersing, bitter descending, cold and warm drugs. The combination of Coptis,Pinellia, and Scutellaria(CPS)was identified as the core drug combination from 207 prescriptions and 168 herbs. This drug combination eradicated H.pylori, alleviated the gastric pathology induced by H.pylori infection, and reduced the expression levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(P=0.024)and interleukin-1β(P=0.001).Moreover,a total of 35 compounds and 2807 targets of CPS were identified using online databases.Nine key compounds(tenaxin I,neobaicalein, norwogonin, skullcapflavone II,baicalein,5,8,2'-trihydroxy-7-methoxyflavone,acacetin,panicolin,and wogonin)and nine hub target proteins(EGFR,PTGS2,STAT3,MAPK3,MAPK8,HSP90AA1,MAPK1,MMP9,and MTOR)were further explored.Seventy-seven signaling pathways were correlated with H.pylori-induced inflammation and carcinogenesis.CONCLUSION In summary,we showed that CPS is the core drug combination for treating H.pylori infection.Animal experiments demonstrated that CPS has bacteriostatic properties and can reduce the release of inflammatory cytokines in the gastric mucosa.Network pharmacology predictions further revealed that CPS showed complex chemical compositions with multi-target and multipathway regulatory mechanisms.Although the results derived from network pharmacology are not necessarily comprehensive, they still expand our understanding of CPS for treating H.pylori infection.
文摘Objective:To systematically study the clinical effects of combined treatment with Dang gui si ni tang(DGSN)and western medicine(WM)on diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Methods:Seven databases, including Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Chinese Biomedical Database(CBM),Wanfang full-text database,VIP Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals,MEDLINE,PubMed,Embase, were retrieved.Related references about randomized controlled trials on the combination of DGSN and WM on diabetic peripheral neuropathy published during January 2012 up to now(recent 5 years)were reviewed.Related grey literatures were also reviewed according to the selected articles.RevMan5.3 software was used to analyze the publish bias, and to compare the total clinical effects of the combination of DGSN and WM with WM alone.Results:Ultimately,19 randomized controlled trials with 1690 patients were incorporated. The results of meta-analysis showed that combined treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy with DGSN and WM showed better general efficacy compared with control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The results of study showed homogeneity(P=0.94>0.05).The general efficacy of combined treatment with DGSN and WM was significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.00001,OR=3.98,95%CI:3.01~5.27).Conclusion:Compared with treatment with WM alone, combined treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy with DGSN and WM is more effective.Meanwhile, due to the limited literature samples and low quality of literatures, large samples and high quality of multi-center randomized controlled double-blind trials are needed to verify these results.
