This paper focuses on the distributed cooperative learning(DCL)problem for a class of discrete-time strict-feedback multi-agent systems under directed graphs.Compared with the previous DCL works based on undirected gr...This paper focuses on the distributed cooperative learning(DCL)problem for a class of discrete-time strict-feedback multi-agent systems under directed graphs.Compared with the previous DCL works based on undirected graphs,two main challenges lie in that the Laplacian matrix of directed graphs is nonsymmetric,and the derived weight error systems exist n-step delays.Two novel lemmas are developed in this paper to show the exponential convergence for two kinds of linear time-varying(LTV)systems with different phenomena including the nonsymmetric Laplacian matrix and time delays.Subsequently,an adaptive neural network(NN)control scheme is proposed by establishing a directed communication graph along with n-step delays weight updating law.Then,by using two novel lemmas on the extended exponential convergence of LTV systems,estimated NN weights of all agents are verified to exponentially converge to small neighbourhoods of their common optimal values if directed communication graphs are strongly connected and balanced.The stored NN weights are reused to structure learning controllers for the improved control performance of similar control tasks by the“mod”function and proper time series.A simulation comparison is shown to demonstrate the validity of the proposed DCL method.展开更多

The purpose of the research study is to investigate the effect of Cooperative Learning(CL)on 8th grade students’academic achievement while also considering the achievement outcomes by gender and to test the hypothesi...The purpose of the research study is to investigate the effect of Cooperative Learning(CL)on 8th grade students’academic achievement while also considering the achievement outcomes by gender and to test the hypothesis that CL improves student achievement.The present study was carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic for six weeks during the academic year 2020-2021 in Nurorda high-school in Nursultan in Kazakhstan.The subjects of the study were 86 students(31 girls and 55 boys)aged 13-15 years old and were randomly divided into two groups,45 students in the experimental group and 41 students in the control group.Final test was administered to students as measuring instrument.The t-test statistical technique was performed in order to answer to the research questions.The data obtained were analyzed with SPSS 21.00 statistical program.The significance level was taken as p<0.05 in the analyzes.Results indicated that the CL has significant positive effects on students’mathematics achievement.展开更多

An important part of the pape...This paper provides an exploration of cooperative learning(CL) in a Mediterranean European cultural setting, taking classroom teaching in the University of Málaga(UMA) as an example. An important part of the paper is on the definitions of CL, second language acquisition(SLA) and relative literature by scholars or educators home and abroad, such as historical and contemporary views of CL, its development and application in a variety of classrooms, esp. in multi-lingual settings, in UMA. It also puts much emphasis on sociocultural aspects of CL. Besides, this paper compares the application of CL with that in SWUST,one public university in Southwest China. In views of current problems and awkward situations in the application of CL, the paper argues that the qualified teachers and quality monitoring systems are the two major decisive factors that affect the achievement of CL in Spanish institutions. This paper also analyzes the main characteristics of the classroom teaching in Mediterranean European Cultural Settings. Thus, the paper suggests that CL may be one of the most efficient approaches to improving the quality of education in UMA. Finally, the paper concludes with recommendations and suggestions that Spanish institutions train more wellqualified teachers to meet the increasing demand of CL approach in multi-contextual or multi-lingual settings.展开更多

However, it is still not seen as an important method to use in China today. This paper briefly reviews and summarizes the major achievements as well as setbacks of FLT research in the past 60 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China. It also addresses some important issues in the history of the development and the prospect of FLT, and the career development of FL teachers in China. Moreover, it presents argumentations in the remarkable exploratory process of educational theories of FLT with Chinese characteristics. 文摘With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform,the main role of classroom teaching has changed significantly.The traditional English teaching model lacks communication between teachers and students and lacks effective cooperation,and ignores the subjective initiative of students,which is very detrimental to the development of ability to learn.The new curriculum emphasizes that students are the main part of learning and should give full play to their subjectivity in teaching.Let students learn how to learn,in order to keep up with the development of the times,truly cultivate their good cultural literacy.The primary school curriculum is used as a means to support lifelong learning and cooperative learning,and lay the necessary foundation for adapting to the learning,work and life of the modern society.Therefore,the teaching of English should be based on the cultivation of students'learning ability,especially the cultivation of independent learning ability,only in this way can improve the quality of classroom teaching.Cooperative learning can solve this problem very well.This paper would discuss how to apply cooperative learning in primary school English classes and the significance of cooperative learning.
文摘In order to examine the effect of cooperative learning in teaching reading for Chinese non-English majors,an experiment was done on cooperative learning in reading course.After a four-month experiment,a conclusion was drawn that there really existed significant difference in the English reading proficiency between students who received cooperative learning instruction and those who adopted non-cooperative learning instruction.This paper concludes that according to the statistics,cooperative learning is an efficient way to improve students' reading proficiency.
文摘In order to explore the effectiveness of cooperative learning in overcoming college English classroom reticence,an experimental study was conducted with 134 non-English majors involved.The pre-and-post comparative analysis of classroom reticent level in the experimental classes and the controlled classes showed that cooperative learning could effectively reduce students’classroom reticence.
