The application of intelligent disinfection robot in designated non-negative pressure isolation ward during the outbreak in novel coronavirus pneumonia. The construction and competition, disinfection mode of intelligent disinfection robot, the setting of disinfection point built on area and number of isolation ward, can be introduced below. Frequency can realize remote control when staff uses a table to give instruction and set disinfection mode, and then the intelligent disinfection robot returns automatically to the charging pile to charge when the instruction is completed. It can also autonomously move to sterilize without human participation, which makes man-machine separation and accurate disinfection come true. The chance of contact infection and exposure is decreased when an intelligent disinfection robot is used to sterilize the environment and object surface in an isolation ward, which can also reduce occupational exposure, achieve occupational protection of medical workers and ensure there is no hospital infection. 展开更多

The preventive effect of traditional Chinese medicine on the novel coronavirus(COVID-19)pneumonia is embodied in the"prevention before disease onset"of"treatment of disease"theory of thought, and it is considered that the key to the success or failure of prevention is whether the healthy qi is abundant or not. This article discusses and understands the"genuine qi"from the The Medical Classic of the Yellow Emperor, and describes its meaning comprehensively and systematically, combining with the expansion and supplement of many doctors in later generations. The"genuine qi"includes healthy qi,pulse qi,congenital qi,personal qi,Jing qi primordial qi and food energy, all of which are closely related to spleen-stomach.The function of spleen-stomach is normal, water and grain are transported properly, and the rise and fall of qi is appropriate, then the human body's qi is abundant, the anti-evil force is strong, and people are not easy to cause disease;even if the disease, the prognosis is better. This the novel coronavirus pneumonia comprehensive analysis, belongs to the traditional Chinese medicine science"damp-toxin epidemic",therefore the prevention should pay more attention to strengthen spleen and stomach, eliminate dampness, and Xiangsha Yangwei Pills is the appropriate choice. 展开更多

The mean time between the initial and repeat thin-section CT scans was 3.3 ± 2.1 days, 7.9 ± 2.1 days, 14.2 ± 1.3 days after onset of symptoms in these 15 patients. Three experienced Radiologists reviewed the CT images independently and also in collaboration with each other for complicated or unique cases, for the Imaging characteristics like number and site of lesions, distribution of lesions whether it is lobular, lobar, unilateral or bilateral, and comparing the severity of disease in relation to the CT findings. The CT features were compared using the χ2 test and Fisher’s exact probability. Results: All of 15 patients had a history of visit to the endemic center i.e. Wuhan city or came in direct contact with an infected individual. Fever (93.3%) was the most common symptom. Majority of patients had a normal white blood cell count, and normal lymphocyte count although there were patients with leucopenia and lymphocytopenia. CT images showed predominate Ground-Glass opacities in the initial and repeat CT scans with a percentage of 90.6%, 53.9%, 44.2% respectively during the three spaced CT examinations;most patients had bilateral lung involvement (60%, 93.3%, 93.3%), the lesions predominantly involved the posterior (87.5%, 71.9%, 76.6%) and peripheral (90.6%, 84.3%, 85.7%) part of the lungs. There were more consolidation and mixed patterns in repeat CT scan Versus initial CT scan, the difference was statistically significant (P-values were < 0.001). The total lung severity score in the three aforementioned timely spaced CT scans were 36 (3.3 ± 2.1 days) 63 (7.9 ± 2.1 days), and 57 (14.2 ± 1.3 days) respectively. The median percentage of pneumonia lesions of the whole lung volume in three times CT scan was 1.69% (4.59), 3.47% (5.46), 2.33% (4.75) respectively. Besides, “Tree-in-bud” sign, lung cavitation, and lymphadenopathy were absent. Conclusion: The Thin-slice Section CT Imaging features show uniquely different characteristics, each time the scans are taken. The most common findings in our study were bilateral multiple peripheral and mostly posterior ground-glass opacities (GGO), however the CT scan images that were taken in a timely manner to follow up demonstrated some remarkable changes, which undoubtedly play an important role in the diagnosis and management of the patient with COVID-19 disease. 展开更多

In this study, we compared the duration of viral nucleic acid detection and of pneumonia absorption improvement between the two groups.RESULTS: Among the 80 cases, 37 were male(46%)and 43 were female(54%) with age ranging from15 to 86 years, with an average age of 51.19 years. The average duration of viral nucleic acid detection was(7 ± 4) d in the Jinhua Qinggan administration group and(10 ± 4) d for the control group(P =0.010), following which, nucleic acid tests were negative. Of the two groups, 56.82% in the Jinhua Qinggan treatment group and 27.78% in the control group demonstrated negative nucleic acid tests within 7 d or less. The 7-day viral clearance rate was significantly higher in the Jinhua Qinggan group compared with the control group(P = 0.009). Furthermore, the pneumonia recovery time indicated by chest CT was(8 ± 4) d in the Jinhua Qinggan group, which was significantly shorter than the control group, at(10 ± 5) d(P = 0.021). No adverse reactions were found in the treatment group after taking this medicine.CONCLUSION: In patients with COVID-19, Jinhua Qinggan granules can effectively shorten the duration of nucleic acid detection and promote the absorption of pneumonia inflammatory exudate without obvious adverse reactions. 展开更多

Since the outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia(coronavirus disease 2019,COVID-19),it has rapidly spread to 187 countries, causing serious harm to the health of people and a huge social burden. However, currently, drugs specifically approved for clinical use are not available, except for vaccines against COVID-19 that are being evaluated.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is capable of performing syndrome differentiation and treatment according to the clinical manifestations of patients, and has a better ability of epidemic prevention and control. The authors comprehensively analyzed the etiology and pathogenesis of COVID-19 based on the theory of TCM,and discussed its syndrome differentiation, treatment and prevention measures so as to provide strategies and reference for the prevention and treatment with TCM. 展开更多

In December 2019,several patients with pneumonia of an unknown cause were detected in Wuhan,China. On 7 January 2020,the causal organism was identified as a new coronavirus, later named as the 2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV).Genome sequencing found the genetic sequence of 2019-nCoV homologous to that of severe acute respiratory syndrome-associated coronavirus. As of 29 January 2020,the virus had been diagnosed in more than 7000 patients in China and 77 patients in other countries. It is reported that both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients with 2019-nCoV can play a role in disease transmission via airborne and contact. This finding has caused a great concern about the prevention of illness spread. The clinical features of the infection are not specific and are often indistinguishable from those of other respiratory infections, making it difficult to diagnose.Given that the virus has a strong ability to spread between individuals,it is of top priority to identify potential or suspected patients as soon as possible—or the virus may cause a serious pandemic. Therefore,a precision medicine approach to managing this disease is urgently needed for detecting and controlling the spread of the virus. In this article,we present such an approach to managing 2019-nCoV-related pneumonia based on the unique traits of the virus recently revealed and on our experience with coronaviruses at West China Hospital in Chengdu,China. 展开更多
