However, operations on logical qubits are only performed through universal gate sets consisting of finite-sized gates such as Clifford + T. Although these logical gate sets allow for universal quantum computation, the finite gate sizes present a problem for quantum sensing, since in sensing protocols, such as the Ramsey measurement protocol, the signal must act continuously. The difficulty in constructing a continuous logical op-erator comes from the Eastin-Knill theorem, which prevents a continuous sig-nal from being both fault-tolerant to local errors and transverse. Since error correction is needed to approach the Heisenberg Limit in a noisy environment, it is important to explore how to construct fault-tolerant continuous operators. In this paper, a protocol to design continuous logical z-rotations is proposed and applied to the Steane Code. The fault tolerance of the designed operator is investigated using the Knill-Laflamme conditions. The Knill-Laflamme condi-tions indicate that the diagonal unitary operator constructed cannot be fault tolerant solely due to the possibilities of X errors on the middle qubit. The ap-proach demonstrated throughout this paper may, however, find success in codes with more qubits such as the Shor code, distance 3 surface code, [15, 1, 3] code, or codes with a larger distance such as the [11, 1, 5] code.展开更多

It is composed of several currents, such as the ionospheric dynamo current and the auroral electrojet caused by the field aligned current. S p q is unsymmetrical in both polar regions. In this paper, the S p q current systems are analyzed in the corrected geomagnetic coordinates (CGM) instead of the conventional geomagnetic coordinates (GM), and the symmetries of the S p q current in different systems are compared. Then the causes of S p q asymmetry in the GM coordinates are discussed; the effects of each component in S p q are determined.展开更多

Case presentation: Twenty-two-year-old woman admitted to intensive care unit with acute decompensated heart failure. The transthoracic echocardiography demonstrated atrioventricular and ventriculoarterial discordance. The left-sided atrioventricular valve, in this case, the tricuspid valve, showed apical displacement of the septal valve suggesting Ebstein’s anomaly. The computed tomography corroborated these findings and additionally showed a left superior vena cava and an abnormal origin of the coronary arteries. The patient is in NYHA functional class II, receiving treatment with diuretic, digitalis, beta-blockers and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. Conclusion: This is a very interesting case of an adult in the third decade of life with cc-TGA associated with abnormalities not described in the literature that had reached adulthood. Noninvasive images play an important role in its diagnosis.展开更多

Methods: Clinical data were collected from 2020 to 2021 for 6 patients who underwent correction using a stripshaped cymba conchae orthosis. The indications, corrective effects, and complications associated with use of the orthosis were analyzed. Results: There were four indications for treatment: cryptotia with helix adhesion;cryptotia with grade I microtia;cryptotia with excessive helix thickness;and auricular deformity beyond the treatment time window(≥6 months). Excellent corrective effects were observed in all 6 patients. Complications occurred in one patient, who recovered after symptomatic treatment. Conclusion: The use of a strip-shaped cymba conchae orthosis alone or combined with a U-shaped helix orthosis presents a feasible approach for correcting complex auricular deformities or deformities beyond the treatment time window in pediatric patients.展开更多

文摘In this study,we aim to assess dynamical downscaling simulations by utilizing a novel bias-corrected global climate model(GCM)data to drive a regional climate model(RCM)over the Asia-western North Pacific region.Three simulations were conducted with a 25-km grid spacing for the period 1980–2014.The first simulation(WRF_ERA5)was driven by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts Reanalysis 5(ERA5)dataset and served as the validation dataset. The original GCM dataset(MPI-ESM1-2-HR model)was used to drive the second simulation(WRF_GCM),while the third simulation(WRF_GCMbc)was driven by the bias-corrected GCM dataset. The bias-corrected GCM data has an ERA5-based mean and interannual variance and long-term trends derived from the ensemble mean of 18 CMIP6 models. Results demonstrate that the WRF_GCMbc significantly reduced the root-mean-square errors(RMSEs)of the climatological mean of downscaled variables, including temperature, precipitation, snow, wind, relative humidity, and planetary boundary layer height by 50%–90%compared to the WRF_GCM.Similarly,the RMSEs of interannual-tointerdecadal variances of downscaled variables were reduced by 30%–60%.Furthermore,the WRF_GCMbc better captured the annual cycle of the monsoon circulation and intraseasonal and day-to-day variabilities. The leading empirical orthogonal function(EOF)shows a monopole precipitation mode in the WRF_GCM.In contrast, the WRF_GCMbc successfully reproduced the observed tri-pole mode of summer precipitation over eastern China. This improvement could be attributed to a better-simulated location of the western North Pacific subtropical high in the WRF_GCMbc after GCM bias correction.

文摘Error correction has long been suggested to extend the sensitivity of quantum sensors into the Heisenberg Limit. The ap-proach demonstrated throughout this paper may, however, find success in codes with more qubits such as the Shor code, distance 3 surface code, [15, 1, 3] code, or codes with a larger distance such as the [11, 1, 5] code.

文摘BACKGROUND Corrected transposition of the great arteries(cTGA) is a cardiac malformation in which the ventricular and arterial-ventricular positions in the heart are doubly reversed. In general, this defect puts a load on the systemic circulation and causes heart failure, resulting in a poor prognosis. This article reports a case of cTGA detected in a patient with post-caesarean pregnancy who had undergone elective caesarean section and was experiencing an episode of acute heart failure.CASE SUMMARY This was the case of a 36-year-old gravida 3 para 1 woman. No problems were noted in the puerperal course following the previous pregnancy. The current pregnancy was also uneventful. An elective caesarean section was performed and the patient was discharged from the hospital 7 d after the operation. On postoperative day 18,the patient became aware of breathing difficulty and presented at a nearby clinic, where she was referred to our institution after bilateral pleural effusions were detected. She was then diagnosed with acute heart failure after noting the presence of a prominent pedal oedema and SpO_(2) 91%(supine position and room air);the patient was promptly hospitalised for close examination and treatment.Although chest computed tomography revealed the presence of cTGA,no other cardiac malformations were observed.Owing to improvements in both the pedal oedema and pleural effusions, the patient was discharged on day 9.CONCLUSION Close examination should be performed on the premise of congenital cardiac malformation when heart failure symptoms are noted during perinatal control.
文摘The S^p_q equivalent current system of the quiet day geomagnetic variation in the polar region is very complicated. Then the causes of S p q asymmetry in the GM coordinates are discussed; the effects of each component in S p q are determined.
文摘BACKGROUND Treatment of congenitally corrected transposition of great arteries(cc-TGA)with anatomic repair strategy has been considered superior due to restoration of the morphologic left ventricle in the systemic circulation. However, data on long term outcomes are limited to single center reports and include small sample sizes.AIM To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis for observational studies reporting outcomes on anatomic repair for cc-TGA.METHODS MEDLINE and Scopus databases were queried using predefined criteria for reports published till December 31,2017.Studies reporting anatomic repair of minimum 5 cc-TGA patients with at least a 2 year follow up were included.Metaanalysis was performed using Comprehensive meta-analysis v3.0 software.RESULTS Eight hundred and ninety-five patients underwent anatomic repair with a pooled follow-up of 5457.2 patient-years(PY).Pooled estimate for operative mortality was 8.3%[95%confidence interval(CI):6.0%-11.4%].0.2%(CI:0.1%-0.4%)patients required mechanical circulatory support postoperatively and 1.7%(CI:1.1%-2.4%)developed post-operative atrioventricular block requiring a pacemaker.Patients surviving initial surgery had a transplant free survival of 92.5%(CI:89.5%-95.4%)per 100 PY and a low rate of need for pacemaker(0.3/100 PY;CI:0.1-0.4).84.7%patients(CI:79.6%-89.9%)were found to be in New York Heart Association(NYHA)functional class I or II after 100 PY follow up.Total re-intervention rate was 5.3 per 100 PY(CI:3.8-6.8).CONCLUSION Operative mortality with anatomic repair strategy for cc-TGA is high.Despite that, transplant free survival after anatomic repair for cc-TGA patients is highly favorable.Majority of patients maintain NYHA I/II functional class. However, monitoring for burden of re-interventions specific for operation type is very essential.
文摘Subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defi brillator(S-ICD)therapy has become a viable alternative to conventional transvenous ICD implantation.Patients with congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries(ccTGA)have a high risk of sudden cardiac death due to malignant arrhythmia. The interaction between the S-ICD system and the transvenous pacemaker system is not fully understood. We report a case of S-ICD implantation in a patient with ccTGA and a DDD pacemaker. The patient was a 30-year-old man with a previously placed pacemaker with diagnoses of congenital heart disease,ccTGA(SLL),left atrioventricular valve insuffi ciency, and third-degree atrioventricular block. He presented with an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, and an S-ICD was implanted to prevent sudden cardiac death.Defi brillation checks were performed successfully. We tested the compatibility of the DDD pacemaker with the S-ICD and found that there was no interference between them.In conclusion,an S-ICD system is a reasonable and safe option in patients with ccTGA.
文摘Introduction: Congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries (cc-TGA) is a congenital heart disease rarely described among adult population, especially if it is associated with other abnormalities such as Ebstein’s anomaly and abnormal origin of coronary arteries. Noninvasive images play an important role in its diagnosis.

The patient was referred to our hospital after an electrocardiogram from his primary care with evidence of blocked atrial fibrillation. During the initial evaluation blocked atrial fibrillation was confirmed with a rescue ventricular rate of 38 bpm. A magnetic resonance confirmed the presence of the atrioventricular and ventriculoarterial discordance, the aorta had a left anterior position, perimembranous ventricular septal defect with a right to left shunt, biventricular systolic dysfunction, moderate tricuspid, and mitral regurgitation, interventricular septal intramyocardial and biatrial fibrosis, left</span> </span><span style="white-space:normal;"><span style="font-family:;" "="">atrial dilation, and dilation of the pulmonary artery. The bias-corrected ensemble was used to study the spatial and temporal behaviour of rainfall under baseline (1971 to 2000) and future RCP 4.5 and 8.5 scenarios (2021 to 2050). An insignificant trend was noted under the </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">baseline condition during the March-May (MAM) and October-December</span> <span style="font-family:Verdana;">(OND) rainfall seasons. A positive significant trend at 5% level was noted</span><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> under RCP 4.5 and 8.5 scenarios in some stations during both MAM and OND seasons. The increase in rainfall was attributed to global warming due to increased anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases. Results on the spatial variability of rainfall indicate the spatial extent of rainfall will increase under both RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5 scenario when compared to the baseline;the increase is higher under the RCP 8.5 scenario. Overall rainfall was found to be highly variable in space and time, there is a need to invest in the early dissemination of weather forecasts to help farmers adequately prepare in case of unfavorable weather. Concerning the expected increase in rainfall in the future, policymakers need to consider the results of this study while preparing mitigation strategies against the effects of changing rainfall patterns.</span></span> </p>

文摘Objective:Accurate measurement of QT interval, the ventricular action potential from depolarization to repolarization,is important for the early detection of Long QT syndrome. The most effective QT correction(QTc)formula has yet to be determined in the pediatric population, although it has intrinsically greater extremes in heart rate(HR)and is more susceptible to errors in measurement. The authors of this study compare six dif-ferent QTc methods(Bazett,Fridericia,Framingham,Hodges,Rautaharju, and a computer algorithm utilizing the Bazett formula)for consistency against variations in HR and RR interval. Methods:Descriptive Retrospective Study. We included participants from a pediatric cardiology practice of a community hospital who had an ECG performed in 2017.All participants were healthy patients with no past medical history and no regular med-ications.Results:ECGs from 95 participants from one month to 21 years of age(mean 9.7 years)were included with a mean HR of 91 beats per minute(bpm). The two-sample paired t-test or Wilcoxon signed-rank test assessed for any difference between QTc methods.A statistically significant difference was observed between every combination of two QTc formulae. The Spearman’s rank correlation analysis explored the QTc/HR and QTc/RR relationships for each formula.Fridericia method was most independent of HR and RR with the lowest absolute value of correlation coefficients.Bazett and Computer had moderate correlations, while Framingham and Rautaharju exhibited strong correlations.Correlations were positive for Bazett and Computer, reflecting results from prior studies demonstrating an over-correction of Bazett at higher HRs.In the linear QTc/HR regression analysis,Bazett had the slope closest to zero, although Computer,Hodges, and Fridericia had comparable values.Alternatively,Fridericia had the linear QTc/RR regression coefficient closest to zero. The Bland-Altman method assessed for bias and the limits of agreement between correction formulae.Bazett and Computer exhibited good agreement with minimal bias along with Framingham and Rautaharju. To account for a possible skewed distri-bution of QT,all the above analyses were also performed excluding the top and bottom 2%of data as sorted by heart rate ranges(N=90).Results from this data set were consistent with those derived from all participants(N=95).Conclusions:Overall,the Fridericia correction method provided the best rate correction in our pedia-tric study cohort.

文摘The correct calculation of formation enthalpy is one of the enablers of ab-initio computational materials design. For several classes of systems(e.g.oxides)standard density functional theory produces incorrect values. Here we propose the“coordination corrected enthalpies”method(CCE),based on the number of nearest neighbor cation–anion bonds, and also capable of correcting relative stability of polymorphs.CCE uses calculations employing the Perdew,Burke and Ernzerhof(PBE),local density approximation(LDA)and strongly constrained and appropriately normed(SCAN)exchange correlation functionals,in conjunction with a quasiharmonic Debye model to treat zero-point vibrational and thermal effects. The benchmark, performed on binary and ternary oxides(halides),shows very accurate room temperature results for all functionals, with the smallest mean absolute error of 27(24)meV/atom obtained with SCAN.The zero-point vibrational and thermal contributions to the formation enthalpies are small and with different signs—largely canceling each other.
文摘In order to obtain more accurate precipitation data and better simulate the precipitation on the Tibetan Plateau, the simulation capability of 14 Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6)models of historical precipitation(1982-2014)on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau was evaluated in this study. Results indicate that all models exhibit an overestimation of precipitation through the analysis of the Taylor index, temporal and spatial statistical parameters. To correct the overestimation,a fusion correction method combining the Backpropagation Neural Network Correction(BP)and Quantum Mapping(QM)correction, named BQ method, was proposed. With this method, the historical precipitation of each model was corrected in space and time, respectively. The correction results were then analyzed in time, space, and analysis of variance(ANOVA)with those corrected by the BP and QM methods, respectively. Finally, the fusion correction method results for each model were compared with the Climatic Research Unit(CRU)data for significance analysis to obtain the trends of precipitation increase and decrease for each model. The results show that the IPSL-CM6A-LR model is relatively good in simulating historical precipitation on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau(R=0.7,RSME=0.15)among the uncorrected data.In terms of time, the total precipitation corrected by the fusion method has the same interannual trend and the closest precipitation values to the CRU data;In terms of space, the annual average precipitation corrected by the fusion method has the smallest difference with the CRU data, and the total historical annual average precipitation is not significantly different from the CRU data, which is better than BP and QM.Therefore, the correction effect of the fusion method on the historical precipitation of each model is better than that of the QM and BP methods. The precipitation in the central and northeastern parts of the plateau shows a significant increasing trend. The correlation coefficients between monthly precipitation and site-detected precipitation for all models after BQ correction exceed 0.8.
文摘Objective: This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of using a strip-shaped cymba conchae orthosis for the nonsurgical correction of complex auricular deformities. Conclusion: The use of a strip-shaped cymba conchae orthosis alone or combined with a U-shaped helix orthosis presents a feasible approach for correcting complex auricular deformities or deformities beyond the treatment time window in pediatric patients.

文摘Over the past few years, quantum computation based on superconducting circuits has achieved remarkable progress.A milestone occurred in 2019 when Google released Sycamore,a processor with 54 qubits, and claimed quantum supremacy by performing in just 100 s a specific computation which would take a classical supercomputer,as stated by Google’s team,10000 years to complete.[1]In 2021,a strong quantum advantage was demonstrated by Pan and his colleagues from the University of Science and Technology of China, using a quantum processor named Zuchongzhi, which has 66 functional qubits.[2]This year, the record of the number of quantum qubits has been lifted to 127 qubits.[3]Indeed,the number of qubits is limited to a few hundreds due to the finite space of dilution refrigerators, where the superconducting qubits must be placed to be isolated from thermal noise. However, this number is still several orders of magnitude away from the requirement of quantum error correction, which is essential for general-purpose quantum computers.[4–8].
