Recent researched has revealed that a great deal of deep-water fans of great petroleum potentiality exist on the Baiyun deep-water slope below the big palco Pearl River and its large delta. Based on a mass of exploration wells and 2-D seismic data of the shallow shelf region, a interpretation of sequence stratigraphy confirmed the existence of deep-water fans. The cyclic falling of sea level, abundant detrital matter from the paleo Pearl River and the persistent geothermal subsidence in the Baiyun sag are the three prerequisites for the formation and development of deep-water fans. There are many in common between the deep-water shelf depositional system of the northern South China Sea and the exploration hotspots region on the two banks of the Atlantic. For example, both are located on passive continent margins, and persistent secular thermal subsidence and large palco rivers have supplied abundant material sources and organic matter.More recently, the discovery of the big gas pool on the northern slope of the Baiyun sag confirms that the Lower Tertiary lacustrine facies in the Baiyun sag has a great potentiality of source rocks. The fans overlying the Lower Tertiary source rocks should become the main exploration areas for oil and gas resources.展开更多

This paper presents a classification framework to categorize rock blocks based on the principles of block theory. The deep convolutional neural network(CNN) procedure was utilized to analyze a total of 1240 highresolution images from 130 slope masses at the South Pars Special Zone, Assalouyeh, Southwest Iran.Based on Goodman’s theory, a recognition system has been implemented to classify three types of rock blocks, namely, key blocks, trapped blocks, and stable blocks. The proposed prediction model has been validated with the loss function, root mean square error(RMSE), and mean square error(MSE). As a justification of the model, the support vector machine(SVM), random forest(RF), Gaussian naïve Bayes(GNB), multilayer perceptron(MLP), Bernoulli naïve Bayes(BNB), and decision tree(DT) classifiers have been used to evaluate the accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and confusion matrix. Accuracy and precision of the proposed model are 0.95 and 0.93, respectively, in comparison with SVM(accuracy = 0.85, precision = 0.85), RF(accuracy = 0.71, precision = 0.71), GNB(accuracy = 0.75,precision = 0.65), MLP(accuracy = 0.88, precision = 0.9), BNB(accuracy = 0.75, precision = 0.69), and DT(accuracy = 0.85, precision = 0.76). In addition, the proposed model reduced the loss function to less than 0.3 and the RMSE and MSE to less than 0.2, which demonstrated a low error rate during processing.展开更多

The characteristics of each failure induced by excavation are analyzed through geological investigation, and then a geological model at different failure stages is proposed. The geological analysis shows that the excavation-induced repeated failures are related to the exposure of the weak bedding plane and the toe unloading of the cut slope. Numerical modeling is conducted based on a sequential method, taking into account the main failure stages of cut slope. The simulation results fairly coincide with the practical phenomena observed in field. It is shown that the decrease in normal stress of displaced mass on cut slope will induce the increase in shear stress in bedding planes and that at the toe of the cut slope. The released stress leads to repeated gravitational instabilities of cut slope due to the decrease in normal stress and the increase in shear stress along the bedding planes of mudstone.展开更多

It is an important seismic reference mark which identifies the gas hydrate and its distribution influenced by the tectonic movements. Single-point basin modeling was conducted using 473 points in the study area. To discuss the relationships between the tectonic subsidence and BSR, the volume and rate of tectonic subsidence in each geological time have been simulated. The results show that there are three tectonic accelerate subsidence processes in the study area since the late Miocene, especially since 1.8Ma the tectonic subsidence accelerates more apparently. Since the Late Miocene to Pleistocene, the rate of tectonic subsidence in deep-water underwent a transformation from weak to strong. The ratio of tectonic subsidence to the total subsidence was relatively high (65-70%). Through the superposition of the BSR developed areas and the contours of tectonic subsidence in this area, it was discovered that more than 80% of BSR tend to be distributed at the slope break or depression-uplift structural transfer zone and the average tectonic subsidence rate ranges from 70 m/Ma to 125 m/Ma.展开更多

We reviewed their medical data and analysed the effectiveness and safety of this new method. The final diagnosis was based on the surgical pathology or clinical/imaging follow-up. RESULTS EUS-CHDB was performed successfully in all the ten patients. Neither severe haemorrhage nor perforation occurred in any patient. Among the ten patients, there were three cases of gastric linitis plastica, one case of gastric lymphoma, five cases of gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs), and only one case of chronic non-atrophic gastritis. That is, nine(90%) of the cases treated by EUS-CHDB showed positive findings.CONCLUSION EUS-CHDB may be a technically feasible and safe option for patients with gastric infiltrative tumors or gastrointestinal submucosal tumors. EUS-CHDB may be used as a remedial or even preferred biopsy method for submucosal lesions.展开更多

The 7801 cut hole in the Lu'an Wuyang Mine was used as this project's background. The main factors affecting large span cut hole stability are analyzed. Pre- stressed bolting theory was used to design a roof control method for a large span roadway. By reducing the span and applying equal strength coordinated supports the rock could be stabilized. The control prin- ciples and methods are given herein along with the analysis. A double micro arch cross section roadway is defined and its use in solving the current problem is described. Beam arch theory was used to build a model of the double micro arch cross section roadway. A support reverse force model for the arch foot intersection was also derived. A support method based upon reducing the width of the large span in the cut hole is presented. These results show that the reduced span of the roadway roof plus the use of cable anchors and single supports gives an effective way to control the large span cut hole. On site monitoring showed that the reduced span support from the double micro arch cross section roadway design had a significant effect. The roadway surface displacement was small and harmful deformation of the cut hole was effectively controlled. This will ensure its long term stability.展开更多

The interaction among the critical slide angle, the friction coefficient, the cohesion, and the horizontal radius of the deep pits is derived in this paper. It indicates that the deeper the pit is excavated, the greater the critical slide angle is. Both the theory for reducing stripping waste rock in deep pit and the approach to determining the configuration of the stable slope are developed from the interaction. The theory in this paper comprises the preceding principles of stability analysis of slopes and is suitable for analyzing that of deep pit.展开更多

The deformation and failure are mainly caused by poor design which normally has not well combined with the geological conditions and unplanned construction. Therefore, effective design and construction management should be conducted for ensuring a successful construction without damage and risk. In light of the reality of high slope construction along highway in the Huangshan area, this paper proposes a technical procedure for dynamic design and construction management of high slopes along highway in the mountainous area. The proposed construction management scheme is divided into three phases, i.e., 1) design phase, 2) preparation phase of excavation, and 3) construction phase. During the design phase, experiences and lessons learnt from the design and construction of other high slopes along highway in the same region are summarized. The number of slopes and slope height should be optimized from the aspects of route selection and route form. During the preparation phase of excavation, "Excavation Permit Management System" should be adopted, and construction scheme should be made by the construction unit, then the scientific research and design unit determine whether it guarantees slope stability and makes optimization measures. During the construction phase, the scientific research unit would make proposal of optimization design, and apply the achievements of scientific research into practice through common efforts of various units based on the understanding of excavation and investigation. The management system mentioned above is adopted to conduct dynamic design and construction management for more than 90 slopes along the Huangshan - Taling - Taolin Expressway, and successful results of application have been achieved.展开更多

Particularly, foods like fishare highly demanded and supplied. However, despite the high quantity offish to be supplied, most seafood processing companies have yet to installautomation equipment. Such absence of automation equipment for seafoodprocessing incurs a considerable cost regarding labor force, economy, andtime. Moreover, workers responsible for fish processing are exposed to risksbecause fish processing tasks require the use of dangerous tools, such aspower saws or knives. To solve these problems observed in the fish processingfield, this study proposed a fish cutting point prediction method based onAI machine vision and target weight. The proposed method performs threedimensional(3D) modeling of a fish’s form based on image processing techniquesand partitioned random sample consensus (RANSAC) and extracts 3Dfeature information. Then, it generates a neural network model for predictingfish cutting points according to the target weight by performing machinelearning of the extracted 3D feature information and measured weight information. This study allows for the direct cutting of fish based on cutting pointspredicted by the proposed method. Subsequently, we compared the measuredweight of the cut pieces with the target weight. The comparison result verifiedthat the proposed method showed a mean error rate of approximately 3%.展开更多

文摘The local slopes contain rich information of the reflection geometry, which can be used to facilitate many subsequent procedures such as seismic velocities picking, normal move out correction,time-domain imaging and structural interpretation.Generally the slope estimation is achieved by manually picking or scanning the seismic profile along various slopes. We present here a deep learning-based technique to automatically estimate the local slope map from the seismic data.In the presented technique, three convolution layers are used to extract structural features in a local window and three fully connected layers serve as a classifier to predict the slope of the central point of the local window based on the extracted features. The deep learning network is trained using only synthetic seismic data,it can however accurately estimate local slopes within real seismic data.We examine its feasibility using simulated and real-seismic data. The estimated local slope maps demonstrate the succes sful performance of the synthetically-trained network.

文摘The shallow shelf delta/strand arenaceous-pelitic deposit region in the north of the Pearl River mouth basin, sitting on the northern continental shelf of the South China Sea, has already become an important oil production base in China. The fans overlying the Lower Tertiary source rocks should become the main exploration areas for oil and gas resources.

文摘The key-blocks are the main reason accounting for structural failure in discontinuous rock slopes, and automated identification of these block types is critical for evaluating the stability conditions. In addition, the proposed model reduced the loss function to less than 0.3 and the RMSE and MSE to less than 0.2, which demonstrated a low error rate during processing.

文摘Deep-seated large-scale toppling failure presents unique challenges in the study of natural slope deformation process in mountainous regions. An active deep-seated toppling process was identified in the Erguxi slope located in southwest China, which affected a large area and damaged critical transportation infrastructure with the volume of the deforming rock mass exceeding 24×10~6 m^3.It poses significant risks to the downstream Shiziping Hydropower Station by damming the Zagunao River.Field investigation and monitoring results indicate that the deformation of the Erguxi slope is in the advanced stage of deep-seated toppling process, with the formation of a disturbed belt but no identifiable master failure surface. It was postulated that the alternating tensile and shear strength associated with the hard/soft laminated rock strata of metasandstone and phyllite layers preclude the development of either a tensile or shear failure surface, which resulted in the continuous deformation and displacement without a catastrophic mass movement. The slope movement is in close association with the unfavorable geological conditions of the study area in addition to the construction of transportation infrastructure and the increase of the reservoir level. On the basis of the mechanism and intensity of the ongoing toppling deformation,a qualitative grading system was proposed to describe the toppling process and toevaluate the slope stability. This paper summarized the field observation and monitoring data on the toppling deformation for better characterizing its effect on the stability of the Erguxi slope. The qualitative grading system intends to provide a basis for quantitative study of large-scale deep-seated toppling process in metamorphic rocks.
文摘Slope failures along hill cut road slopes are the major nuisance for commuters and highway planners as they put the human lives at huge risk, coupled with immense monetary losses.Analysis of these vulnerable cut slopes entails the assessment and estimation of the suitable material strength input parameters to be used in the numerical models to accomplish a holistic stability examination. For the present study a 60 m high, basaltic and lateritic road cut hill slope in Mahabaleshwar,India, has been considered.A number of samples of both basalt and laterite,in their natural state were tested in the laboratory and the evaluated maximum, minimum and mean strength parameters were employed for the three cases in a distinct element numerical model. The Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion has been incorporated in the numerical model for the material as well as the joints. The numerical investigation offered the factor of safety and insights into the probable deformational mechanism for the three cases.Beside, several critical parameters have also been judged from the study viz.,mode of failure, factor of safety, shear strain rate, displacement magnitudes etc.The result of this analysis shows that the studied section is prone to recurrent failures due to the capping of a substantially thick layer of weaker lateritic material above the high strength basaltic rock mass.External triggering mechanisms like heavy precipitation and earthquake may also accelerate the slope failure in this area. The study also suggests employing instant preventive measures to avert the further risk of damage.

文摘The paper attempts to represent a case of repeated failures on a high cut slope due to multi-excavation. The released stress leads to repeated gravitational instabilities of cut slope due to the decrease in normal stress and the increase in shear stress along the bedding planes of mudstone.

文摘BSR (Bottom Simulating Reflector) occurs widely in the strata since the late Miocene in the deep-water area of the northern continental slope of South China Sea (SCS). Through the superposition of the BSR developed areas and the contours of tectonic subsidence in this area, it was discovered that more than 80% of BSR tend to be distributed at the slope break or depression-uplift structural transfer zone and the average tectonic subsidence rate ranges from 70 m/Ma to 125 m/Ma.
文摘AIM To report on a more accurate diagnostic possibility offered by endoscopic ultrasound-guided cutting of holes and deep biopsy(EUS-CHDB) for pathologic diagnosis of gastric infiltrative tumors and gastrointestinal submucosal tumors.METHODS Ten consecutive patients who were suspected of having gastric invasive tumors or gastrointestinal submucosal tumors underwent EUS-CHDB with a novel vertical diathermic loop. EUS-CHDB may be used as a remedial or even preferred biopsy method for submucosal lesions.

文摘Deep large span cut holes are difficult to stabilize. This will ensure its long term stability.
文摘The space effects of deep pit slope are analyzed by an elastic mechanics principle. The theory in this paper comprises the preceding principles of stability analysis of slopes and is suitable for analyzing that of deep pit.

文摘The numerical simulation and slope stability prediction are the focus of slope disaster research.Recently, machine learning models are commonly used in the slope stability prediction. However, these machine learning models have some problems, such as poor nonlinear performance, local optimum and incomplete factors feature extraction. These issues can affect the accuracy of slope stability prediction. Therefore,a deep learning algorithm called Long short-term memory(LSTM)has been innovatively proposed to predict slope stability.Taking the Ganzhou City in China as the study area, the landslide inventory and their characteristics of geotechnical parameters, slope height and slope angle are analyzed.Based on these characteristics, typical soil slopes are constructed using the Geo-Studio software.Five control factors affecting slope stability, including slope height, slope angle, internal friction angle, cohesion and volumetric weight, are selected to form different slope and construct model input variables. Then, the limit equilibrium method is used to calculate the stability coefficients of these typical soil slopes under different control factors. Each slope stability coefficient and its corresponding control factors is a slope sample. As a result,a total of 2160 training samples and 450 testing samples are constructed. These sample sets are imported into LSTM for modelling and compared with the support vector machine(SVM),random forest(RF)and convo-lutional neural network(CNN).The results show that the LSTM overcomes the problem that the commonly used machine learning models have difficulty extracting global features.Furthermore,LSTM has a better prediction performance for slope stability compared to SVM,RF and CNN models.

文摘Research on the stability of soil slopes in seasonally frozen regions has mainly focused on slope failures during the thawing window. There are few studies on slope stability during the freezing window and its subsequent influence on slope failure in the next thawing window. In this paper, soil strength was tested during freezing and thawing to obtain temperature-dependent strength parameters for the simulation of slope stability. Then, the slope's temperature field over an entire year was accurately simulated so that characteristics of the frozen layer could be determined at any time.Based on the above results, the progressive failure modes of frozen soil slopes are discussed. The results show that:1)during the freezing window, depth of the frozen soil layer increases,as does the slope's safety factor, while a yield zone propagates towards the slope shoulder.(2)During the thawing window, the frozen soil layer shrinks in depth while the yield zone continuously expands, which decreases the safety factor.Comprehensive analysis of these results indicate that the frozen layer provides a“toe-locking effect”that increases the safety factor during the freezing window, while it also provides a“dragging effect”that propagates the yield zone towards the slope shoulder.During the thawing window,the“toe-locking effect”gradually diminishes;a continuous sliding surface is formed, which lead to a landslide. The frozen soil layer of the freezing window accelerates the slope sliding in the thawing window.
文摘Deformation and failure of high slope impact the construction and operation safety of highway in the mountainous areas. The management system mentioned above is adopted to conduct dynamic design and construction management for more than 90 slopes along the Huangshan - Taling - Taolin Expressway, and successful results of application have been achieved.

文摘Food processing companies pursue the distribution of ingredientsthat were packaged according to a certain weight. The comparison result verifiedthat the proposed method showed a mean error rate of approximately 3%.
