SST fronts at the mesoscale eddy edge(ME fronts)were investigated from 2007–2017 in the northern South China Sea(NSCS)based on an automatic method using satellite sea level anomaly(SLA)and SST data.The relative probabilities between the number of anticyclonic/cyclonic ME fronts(AEF/CEF)and the number of anticyclones/cyclones reached 20%.The northeastern and southwestern parts of these anticyclones had more fronts than the northwestern and southeastern parts,although CEFs were nearly equally distributed in all directions.The number of ME fronts had remarkable seasonal variations,while the eddy kinetic energy(EKE)showed no seasonal variations.The total EKE at the ME fronts was three times of that within the MEs,and it was much stronger in AEFs than in CEFs.The interannual variability in the number of ME fronts and EKE had no significant correlation with the El Ni?o-Southern Oscillation(ENSO)index.Possible mechanisms of ME fronts were discussed,but the contributions of mesoscale eddies to SST fronts need to be quantified in future studies. 展开更多

To improve the attack detection capability of content centric network(CCN),we propose a detection method of interest flooding attack(IFA)making use of the feature of self-similarity of traffic and the information entropy of content name of interest packet.On the one hand,taking advantage of the characteristics of self-similarity is very sensitive to traffic changes,calculating the Hurst index of the traffic,to identify initial IFA attacks.On the other hand,according to the randomness of user requests,calculating the information entropy of content name of the interest packets,to detect the severity of the IFA attack,is.Finally,based on the above two aspects,we use the bilateral detection method based on non-parametric CUSUM algorithm to judge the possible attack behavior in CCN.The experimental results show that flooding attack detection method proposed for CCN can not only detect the attack behavior at the early stage of attack in CCN,but also is more accurate and effective than other methods. 展开更多

Dengue virus infections are increasing worldwide generally and in Asia,Central and South America and Africa,particularly.It poses a serious threat to the children population.The rapid and accurate diagnostic systems are essentially required due to lack of effective vaccine against dengue virus and the progressive spread of the dengue virus infection.The recent progress in developing micro-and nano-fabrication techniques has led to low cost and scale down the biomedical point-of-care devices.Starting from the conventional and modern available methods for the diagnosis of dengue infection,this review examines several emerging rapid and point-of-care diagnostic devices that hold significant potential for the progress in smart diagnosis tools.The given review revealed that an effective vaccine is required urgently against all the dengue virus serotypes.However,the rapid detection methods of dengue virus help in early treatment and significantly reduce the dengue virus outbreak. 展开更多

Simultaneous localization and mapping(SLAM) technology is a research hotspot in the field of intelligent mobile robot, and many researchers have developed many classic systems in the past few decades. However, most of the existing SLAM methods assume that the environment of the robot is static, which results in the performance of the system being greatly reduced in the dynamic environment. To solve this problem, a new dynamic object detection method based on point cloud motion analysis is proposed and incorporated into ORB-SLAM2. First, the method is regarded as a preprocessing stage, detecting moving objects in the scene, and then removing the moving objects to enhance the performance of the SLAM system. Experiments performed on a public RGB-D dataset show that the motion cancellation method proposed in this paper can effectively improve the performance of ORB-SLAM2 in a highly dynamic environment. 展开更多

Most multiphase flow separation detection methods used commonly in oilfields are low in efficiency and accuracy,and have data delay.An online multiphase flow detection method is proposed based on magnetic resonance technology,and its supporting device has been made and tested in lab and field.The detection technology works in two parts:measure phase holdup in static state and measure flow rate in flowing state.Oil-water ratio is first measured and then gas holdup.The device is composed of a segmented magnet structure and a dual antenna structure for measuring flowing fluid.A highly compact magnetic resonance spectrometer system and intelligent software are developed.Lab experiments and field application show that the online detection system has the following merits:it can measure flow rate and phase holdup only based on magnetic resonance technology;it can detect in-place transient fluid production at high frequency and thus monitor transient fluid production in real time;it can detect oil,gas and water in a full range at high precision,the detection isn’t affected by salinity and emulsification.It is a green,safe and energy-saving system. 展开更多

A Real-time Fluorescent Quantitative PCR Method for Detection of Genetically Modified Maize MON88017

In order to improve the standardized technical system of quantitative analyses for genetically modified organisms( GMOs) and protect China's bio-safety and reduce ecological risk,we establish a quantitative detection method for the genetically modified( GM) maize MON88017 using real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR. Meanwhile,the method is evaluated by several methodological indicators such as specificity,sensitivity,accuracy and uncertainty of measurement. The results show that the method has strong specificity in analysis of genetically modified maize MON88017. The mean value(1. 54%) repeatedly measured for 29 times with the relative deviation of 2. 7% was close to the real value(1. 50%) and the variation coefficient of the measured value was 0. 1. The tested recovery rate is 100% and the uncertainty of measurement is 0. 096. 5 copies of the MON88017 molecular fragment can be detected at 97. 5% confidence level. Consequently,the quantitative detection method established in this paper for the GM maize MON88017 has fairly high specificity,accuracy and sensitivity and this technology established in this paper can provide good technical support for the safety supervision of genetically modified organisms in China. 展开更多

Therefore, it is important to detect both of these protozoan species in water and to find a cost-effective technique for inactivation or management control. In recent years, the problem of environmental pollution caused by microplastics has attracted widespread attention. This paper reviews the latest research progress in terms of the source, content and distribution characteristics, harm, and detection technology of soil microplastics by referring to the relevant literature on soil microplastics worldwide. It concludes that:(1) Existing studies worldwide have detected the presence of microplastics in soil, water, and atmosphere, and the use of agricultural films, sewage sludge,and other man-made activities are the main sources of microplastics in soil;(2) microplastics can adsorb heavy metals, persistent organic pollutants and antibiotics in soil, change the physical and chemical properties of soil. This will result in composite pollution and harm to the ecosystem;(3) microplastics in soil not only can destroy the activity of key soil microorganisms, but also enter the body of crops and soil animals, affecting normal growth of crops and soil animals, and further threaten human health;(4) at present, there is no unified operating standard for the sampling, processing, and detection process of microplastics. Analysis methods such as visual inspection, spectroscopy, and thermal analysis have both advantages and disadvantages, and emerging detection technologies require urgent development.Microplastics have become a new pollutant in soil and their distribution characteristics are closely related to human activities. They pollute the environment and threaten human health through the food chain.Although related research on soil microplastics has just begun, it will become the focus of research in the future. 展开更多

Rice bacterial leaf brown spot disease caused by Pseudomonas syringae pv.syringae(Pss)is a major disease on rice.In recent years,Pss has emerged worldwide,seriously affecting rice production.It is very important to establish a rapid detection method of Pss for the diagnosis and prevention of this disease.In order to robust and accurately diagnose the rice bacterial leaf brown spot disease in the field and laboratory,an assay system for the Pss was developed in this study,and the specific sequence of hrcN was used as the target,based on loop-mediated isothermal amplification(LAMP).The best detection system was MgSO 48 mmol·L^(-1),Bst DNA polymerase 8 U,dNTP 1.4 mmol·L^(-1),the ratio of internal and outer primers was 2:1,the reaction temperature was 63℃,the reaction time was 45 min,and the lowest sensitivity was 104 CFU·mL^(-1).This results provided an accurate and robust method for laboratory and field diagnosis of bacterial leaf brown spot disease of rice. 展开更多

Railway Point System(RPS)is an important infrastructure in railway industry and its faults may have significant impacts on the safety and efficiency of train operations.For the fault diagnosis of RPS,most existing methods assume that sufficient samples of each failure mode are available,which may be unrealistic,especially for those modes of low occurrence frequency but with high risk.To address this issue,this work proposes a novel fault diagnosis method that only requires the power signals generated under normal RPS operations in the training stage.Specifically,the failure modes of RPS are distinguished through constructing a reasoning diagram,whose nodes are either binary logic problems or those that can be decomposed into the problems of the binary logic.Then,an unsupervised method for the signal segmentation and a fault detection method are combined to make decisions for each binary logic problem.Based on the results of decisions,the diagnostic rules are established to identify the failure modes.Finally,the data collected from multiple real-world RPSs are used for validation and the results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the benchmark in identifying the faults of RPSs. 展开更多
