This paper aims to examine the impact of digital transformations on the business performance of the meetings,expositions,events,and conventions(MEEC)industry in Chengdu by conducting an empirical analysis of 68 MEEC e...This paper aims to examine the impact of digital transformations on the business performance of the meetings,expositions,events,and conventions(MEEC)industry in Chengdu by conducting an empirical analysis of 68 MEEC enterprises in the city.The study employed the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis(fsQCA)method to explore the pathways and factors involved.Drawing on the theory of synergetics,nine condition variables were carefully selected from four dimensions:digital technologies,digital strategy,digital infrastructure,and digital innovation.The findings revealed that digital transformations were an intricate systematic process,whereby a single factor alone did not serve as a necessary condition for MEEC enterprises to achieve high business performance.The analysis identified five distinct pathways that would lead to high performance,which can be categorized into three distinct models:the“organization-human resources”dominated model,the“human resources-infrastructure”driven model,and the multi-factor coordination model.The analysis also identified two pathways that would result in low performance,categorized as the“basic condition absent”model.Notably,there was substantial heterogeneity observed in the configurational pathways in terms of the magnitude of the impact of digital transformation on business performance across MEEC enterprises of different sizes.This paper suggests that the government should assume the role of a platform,providing policy and financial support to MEEC enterprises to help guide them through the process of digital transformation and that MEEC enterprises themselves should seize the opportunities arising from digital transformation to strengthen their digital infrastructure construction,human resources development,and innovation in brand building.This study presents empirical evidence that contributes to the understanding of the transformation process of MEEC enterprises within the digital economy era,as well as valuable insights into understanding the channels and internal conditions involved in digital transformations.展开更多

In this paper,digital transformation is included in the heterogeneity model of firms.Based on a general equilibrium analysis,we find that under the effect of diminishing marginal productivity,digital transformation do...In this paper,digital transformation is included in the heterogeneity model of firms.Based on a general equilibrium analysis,we find that under the effect of diminishing marginal productivity,digital transformation does not always have a positive impact on firms'markups,but has an"inverted U-shaped"nonlinear influence,which first promotes and then inhibits markups.Firm innovation and firm productivity are the key micro-mechanisms for the above effects to play a role.Based on the analysis of typical facts and empirical data of listed companies,the measurement test yields the following results.First,digital transformation can significantly improve firms'markups when it is below a specific threshold value,but it will have a negative impact when it exceeds this value.That is,there is an"inverted U-shaped"nonlinear relationship between digital transformation and firms'markups.Second,the heterogeneity analysis shows that digital transformation has a greater effect on the markups of state-owned firms,export firms and technology-intensive firms than on the markups of other firms.Third,digital transformation has an impact on firms'markups through two key mechanisms:firm innovation ability and production eficiency.The quantitative empirical results confirm the correctness of the theoretical expectations.Therefore,firms need to grasp the strategic opportunities brought by the progress of digital technology and accelerate the process of promoting the digital transformation.Firms should make proper choices in the selection and arrangement of key areas,as well as avoid possible problems such as"too much".In this way,we can better consolidate the micro foundation of China's high-quality economic development.展开更多

The promotion of fuller and higher-quality employment is a prime task for China's high-quality development.Both employment security(ES)and employment quality(EQ)need to be improved for women who,as an essential pa...The promotion of fuller and higher-quality employment is a prime task for China's high-quality development.Both employment security(ES)and employment quality(EQ)need to be improved for women who,as an essential part of labor force,have long been faced with high stress and employment threshold.The role of digital transformation in promoting women's employment through reducing the cost of job information search is analyzed with the Job Search Theory in this paper.By using China Household Finance Survey(CHFS)data,this research found that digital transformation of households in China contributes to women's employment significantly,raises the number and proportion of female family members in employment,and enhances women'access to medical care insurance,endowment insurance,unemployment insurance,housing fund and overtime pay.Digital transformation can improve the information accessibility of households,and the reduction in information asymmetries benefits women's employment,as indicated by the mechanism analysis.The positive impact of digital transformation is more pronounced for households in Central China,Western China and provinces with high unemployment rates,as well as those supporting the elderly and without housing.This paper will serve as a reference to fuel high-quality employment and reduce dificulties for women in the context of digital transformation.展开更多

文摘The impact that the digital transformation(DT)has on businesses,suppliers,and other third parties has increased significantly now.Digital transformation means improving traditional manufacturing processes with the help of digital technologies.The goal of digital transformation is to increase production efficiency and reduce costs,improve the quality of goods and services produced,and quickly adapt to changes in the global market.The state of industrial production is constantly changing due to the instability of global,economic and political decisions,so the adoption and expansion of digital solutions based on Industry 4.0,the Internet of things,machine learning,and other technologies of the future is accelerating.With the help of these technologies,companies are trying to change approaches and find new ways to solve problems.In this article the author analyzed the phenomenon of a complex system of knowledge management with tools as SMAC,AI,IoT and Edge computing in intelligent organizations as a part of intelligent economy.The arguments are illustrated with the results of own research conducted by the author in 2021-2022 in selected SMEs from the Polish Wielkopolska Province and their reference to the general development trends in this area.

文摘With a long industrial chain and a powerful ability to drive other industries,the automobile manufacturing industry has a prominent strategic position in the national economy.In recent years,many countries have put on their agenda the digitalization of the automobile manufacturing industry,leading to an connected,autonomous,shared,and electric(also known as CASE)①development trend in the industry.As one of the six major automobile industry clusters in China,the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle has achieved initial results in the digital transformation of the automobile manufacturing industry.However,the region is still faced with some constraints,such as insufficient digital infrastructure,relatively slow development of new automobile products,insufficient innovation ability of the automobile industry,and complex digital transformation of small and medium-sized automobile enterprises(automobile SMEs).This paper intends to construct a framework for the mechanism of action of the digital transformation in the automobile manufacturing industry,analyze the effects of the digital transformation of the automobile manufacturing industry in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle,and propose feasible paths for the digital transformation of the automobile manufacturing industry in the region by drawing on domestic and international experience in this regard.The specific paths include:(a)Smoothing the“dual-core”data chain to facilitate the digital transformation of the automobile manufacturing industry;(b)Developing the new energy vehicle(NEV)industry to upgrade the quality of automobile products;(c)Achieving corner overtaking in the digital transformation of the automobile manufacturing industry with digital technology;(d)Jointly building the automobile industrial park to promote the digital transformation of the industry;(e)Addressing problems facing automobile SMEs in digital transformation via targeted policy tools.

The researchers chose the military Hospital in Medina as his study location. The study aimed to identify and address the main challenges facing the digital transformation of medical maintenance at the Military Hospital in Medina. It seeks to analyze the current state of digitalization in medical maintenance operations, identify areas requiring improvement, and propose effective strategies to overcome obstacles. The study will evaluate the impact of digital transformation on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, patient care, and overall operational performance. Traditional travel enterprises face challenges from online travel agencies, sharing economy platforms, and new customer expectations. As a result, adapting to the digital age has become a necessity for their survival. This paper discusses the development path and related countermeasures of the digital transformation of tourism enterprises. In the literature review, the concept and significance of digitalization, industrial transformation and tourism digital transformation are analyzed. In the description of the evaluation index selection, the evaluation index of the digital development level of the tourism enterprises is determined, and the evaluation method of the entropy value method and the grey relative correlation degree analysis are introduced. Through data calculation and result analysis, the digital level and contribution of China’s tourism industry is evaluated. In the restriction analysis, the paper focuses on the constraints of online tourism, sustainable development, infrastructure, development potential and information technology level. Finally, the key measures to strengthen customer demand insight, strengthen the construction of information technology infrastructure, promote the application and innovation of new technologies, and strengthen the development of social responsibility projects are put forward in the path selection and countermeasures. This study has important guidance for promoting the digital transformation and sustainable development of tourism.

文摘Digital transformation is the process of an industry moving to a digital business of continuous growth and improvement with digital technologies.It is an important path for the manufacturing industry to reconstruct and upgrade the existing operation mode to achieve efficiency, effectiveness, and product quality improvement.In this study, we analyze why the successful digital transformation practice is scarcely found in the core business of process manufacturing industries, such as the steel and cement industries.By introducing the development and application of the Process Intelligent Data Application System(PIDAS),which is the digital platform of heavy plates in Baosteel, the concepts, ideas, and development experience of the digital transformation of the process manufacturing are summarized.Moreover, the core issues worthy of attention are pointed out.Finally, a feasible route for the digital transformation of the process manufacturing is proposed.

文摘In this paper,digital transformation is included in the heterogeneity model of firms.Based on a general equilibrium analysis,we find that under the effect of diminishing marginal productivity,digital transformation does not always have a positive impact on firms'markups,but has an"inverted U-shaped"nonlinear influence,which first promotes and then inhibits markups.Firm innovation and firm productivity are the key micro-mechanisms for the above effects to play a role.Based on the analysis of typical facts and empirical data of listed companies,the measurement test yields the following results.First,digital transformation can significantly improve firms'markups when it is below a specific threshold value,but it will have a negative impact when it exceeds this value.That is,there is an"inverted U-shaped"nonlinear relationship between digital transformation and firms'markups.Second,the heterogeneity analysis shows that digital transformation has a greater effect on the markups of state-owned firms,export firms and technology-intensive firms than on the markups of other firms.Third,digital transformation has an impact on firms'markups through two key mechanisms:firm innovation ability and production eficiency.The quantitative empirical results confirm the correctness of the theoretical expectations.Therefore,firms need to grasp the strategic opportunities brought by the progress of digital technology and accelerate the process of promoting the digital transformation.Firms should make proper choices in the selection and arrangement of key areas,as well as avoid possible problems such as"too much".In this way,we can better consolidate the micro foundation of China's high-quality economic development.

文摘In digital economy,firm’s digital transformation is an important means of achieving high-quality development.Adopting career concerns theory,we examine rookie CEOs’impact on firms’digital transformations,using Chinese A-share listed firms from 2007 to 2019.(1)Rookie CEOs disclose more digital transformation information,but invest less in substantial transformation,i.e.,“more words but less investment”.(2)Under high performance pressure and difficult digital transformation,rookie CEOs are more likely to adopt the above strategy.(3)Internal and external governance mechanisms help effectively monitor and mitigate such behaviors.(4)The above strategy helps CEOs decrease short-term,but not long-term,dismissal probabilities.Our findings elucidate firms’digital transformation practices and the decision styles of CEOs with different experience levels.

文摘The promotion of fuller and higher-quality employment is a prime task for China's high-quality development.Both employment security(ES)and employment quality(EQ)need to be improved for women who,as an essential part of labor force,have long been faced with high stress and employment threshold.The role of digital transformation in promoting women's employment through reducing the cost of job information search is analyzed with the Job Search Theory in this paper.By using China Household Finance Survey(CHFS)data,this research found that digital transformation of households in China contributes to women's employment significantly,raises the number and proportion of female family members in employment,and enhances women'access to medical care insurance,endowment insurance,unemployment insurance,housing fund and overtime pay.Digital transformation can improve the information accessibility of households,and the reduction in information asymmetries benefits women's employment,as indicated by the mechanism analysis.The positive impact of digital transformation is more pronounced for households in Central China,Western China and provinces with high unemployment rates,as well as those supporting the elderly and without housing.This paper will serve as a reference to fuel high-quality employment and reduce dificulties for women in the context of digital transformation.

文摘Taking knowledge management and entrepreneurial orientation as variables,this study explores the impact mechanism and contextual effects of enterprise digital transformation on business model innovation,based on organization reform theory and the knowledge-based view.The findings show that digital transformation has a significant and positive impact on business model innovation,that knowledge management plays an intermediary role in the impact of digital transformation on business model innovation,and that compared tolow-level entrepreneurial orientation,high-level entrepreneurial orientation strengthens the relationship between digital transformation and knowledge management,and weakens therelationship between knowledge management and business model innovation.
