Objective:To analyze the characteristics,dynamic changes,and outcomes of the first imaging manifestations of 3 patients with severe COVID-19 in our hospital.Methods:Computed tomography(CT)findings of 3 patients with s...Objective:To analyze the characteristics,dynamic changes,and outcomes of the first imaging manifestations of 3 patients with severe COVID-19 in our hospital.Methods:Computed tomography(CT)findings of 3 patients with severe COVID-19 who tested positive by the nucleic acid test in our hospital were selected,mainly focusing on the morphology,distribution characteristics,and dynamic changes of the first CT findings.Results:3 patients with severe pneumonia were older,with one aged 80.The first chest CT examination for all 3 patients differed.Imaging showed a leafy distribution of consolidation,primarily affecting the lower lobes of both lungs and extending subpleurally.A grid-like pattern was observed,along with changes in the consolidation and air bronchogram.These changes had slower absorption,especially in patients with underlying diseases.Conclusion:CT manifestations of severe COVID-19 have specific characteristics and the analysis of their characteristics and dynamic changes provide valuable insights for clinical treatment.展开更多

Floods f...Zonag, Kusai, Hedin Noel and Yanhu Lakes are independent inland lakes in the Hoh Xil region on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. In September2011, Zonag Lake burst after the water level had increased for many years. Floods flowed through Kusai and Hedin Noel Lakes into Yanhu Lake; since then, the four small endorheic catchments merged into one larger catchment. This hydrological process caused the rapid shrinkage of Zonag Lake and continuous expansion of Yanhu Lake. In this study,based on satellite images, meteorological data and field investigations, we examined the dynamic changes in the four lakes and analyzed the influencing factors. The results showed that before 2011, the trends in the four lake areas were similar and displayed several stages. The change in the area of Zonag Lake corresponded well to the change in annual precipitation(AP), but the magnitude of the change was less than that of a non-glacier-fed lake. Although increased precipitation was the dominant factor that caused Zonag Lake to expand, increased glacier melting and permafrost thawing due to climate warming also had significant effects. After the 2011 outburst of Zonag Lake, due to the increasing AP and accelerating glacier melting, the increases in water volume of the three lakes were absorbed by Yanhu Lake, and Yanhu Lake expanded considerably. According to the rapid growth rates in water level and lake area, Yanhu Lake is likely to burst in 1-2 years.展开更多
AIM:To evaluate the dynamic ocular biometric changes of a modified form-deprivation myopia model in young guinea pigs.METHODS:The animals were randomly assigned to two groups:the monocularly deprived facemask group(MD...AIM:To evaluate the dynamic ocular biometric changes of a modified form-deprivation myopia model in young guinea pigs.METHODS:The animals were randomly assigned to two groups:the monocularly deprived facemask group(MDF,with all the right eyes covered,n =24) and the normal control group(free of facemask,n =24).Each group was then equally divided into four subgroups which were followed up for 2,4,6 and 8 weeks,respectively.Parameters measured from every eye included refraction,corneal curvature,axial length and the dry weight of sclera at the posterior pole.RESULTS:All the facemasks remained in place during the follow-up.The covered eyes developed myopia with the vitreous chamber lengthening and the dry weight of posterior sclera reduced at each time point compared with the contralateral uncovered(P <0.05 at all time points).The changes had a linear correlation with the deprivation time(P <0.05).There were no significant differences in all the parameters between the uncovered eyes of MDF group and the normal control group(P >0.05 at all time points).CONCLUSION:Monocular form deprivation with the facemask is highly effective and non-invasive in inducing axial myopia in guinea pigs.The axial myopia is mainly caused by the increased vitreous chamber length and the weakened posterior sclera rigidity.The form-deprivation eye didn't interfere with the natural development of the contralateral eye.展开更多
The depression-like behavior phenotype,neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus and miR-124 expression in the hippocampus are the focus of current research on the pathogenesis of depression and antidepressant therapy.The pre...The depression-like behavior phenotype,neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus and miR-124 expression in the hippocampus are the focus of current research on the pathogenesis of depression and antidepressant therapy.The present study aimed to clarify the dynamic changes of depression-like behavior,dentate gyrus neurogenesis and hippocampal miR-124 expression during depression induced by chronic stress to reveal pathological features at different stages of depression and to further provide insight into depression treatment.Chronic unpredictable mild stress depression models were established by exposing Sprague-Dawley rats to various mild stressors,including white noise,thermal swimming,stroboscopic illumination,soiled cages,pairing with three other stressed animals,cold swimming,tail pinch,restraint and water and food deprivation.Chronic unpredictable mild stress model rats underwent dynamic observation from 1 to 8 weeks and were compared with a control group(normal feeding without any stressors).To observe changes in the depression-like behavior phenotype during chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression,a sucrose preference test was used to evaluate the degree of anhedonia.An open-field test was used to evaluate locomotor activity and anxiety status.Compared with the control group,chronic unpredictable mild stress rats lost weight but did not have a depression-like behavioral phenotype at 1-4 weeks.Chronic unpredictable mild stress rats presented decreased sucrose preference and locomotor activity at 5-8 weeks.In addition,chronic unpredictable mild stress rats did not have significant anxiety-like behavior during 1-8 weeks of modeling.To observe neurogenesis dysfunctions and changes in neuronal number in the dentate gyrus during chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression,markers(DCX and DCX/BrdU)of neural proliferation and differentiation and the neuronal marker NeuN were assessed by immunofluorescence.Compared with the control group,neurogenesis and the neuronal number in the dentate gyrus did not change from 2 to 6 weeks;however,neural proliferation and differentiation in the dentate gyrus decreased,and the number of neurons decreased until the eighth week in the chronic unpredictable mild stress group.Real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction assays and fluorescence in situ hybridization were used to measure the expression of hippocampal miR-124 during chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression.The results showed that the expression of hippocampal miR-124 was unchanged during the first 4 weeks but increased from 5 to 6 weeks and decreased from 7 to 8 weeks compared with the control group.These findings indicate that during chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression,the behavioral phenotype,miR-124 expression in the hippocampus,neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus and neuronal numbers showed dynamic changes,which suggested that various pathological changes occur at different stages of depression.All experimental procedures and protocols were approved by the Experimental Animal Ethics Committee of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine of China in March 2015.展开更多
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the prognostic potential of postoperative scores of inflammation indexes and the dynamic changes of scores before and after tumor resection in colorectal cancer patients.Th...The aim of the present study was to evaluate the prognostic potential of postoperative scores of inflammation indexes and the dynamic changes of scores before and after tumor resection in colorectal cancer patients.The study included 516 colorectal cancer patients with primary colorectal tumor resection.Cox regression was applied to estimate the associations of postoperative and dynamic changes of inflammation indexes with progression-free survival and overall survival.As results,we found that higher postoperative neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR),neutrophil and monocyte to lymphocyte ratio (NMLR),platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and systemic immune inflammation index (SII)were associated with shorter progression-free survival.The increased NLR,NMLR,PLR,SII and C-reaction protein (CRP)to albumin (ALB) ratio (CAR)were associated with poor progression-free survival,with HRs (95% CIs)of 1.92 (1.27-2.90),1.46(1.11-2.09),2.10(1.34-3.30),1.81(1.22-2.70)and 1.65(1.03-2.67), respectively.Postoperative NMLR,SII,CAR,and their dynamic changes were also significantly correlated with overall survival,with the HRs (95% CIs)of 2.63(1.30-3.97), 2.44(1.43-4.17),2.74(1.31-5.74),2.08(1.21-3.60),1.97(1.12-3.45)and 2.55(1.21-5.38)respectively.In conclusion,postoperative inflammation indexes and their dynamic changes,particularly for NMLR,SII and CAR are promising prognostic predictors of CRC patients.展开更多

The res...The dynamical processes of a typical linear dune including morphological features, dune ridge swing range and crest height were investigated at different monitoring periods in the hinterland of Tengger Desert. The results indicated that the development of linear dune depends on not only the northwesterly prevailing wind, but also the winds from northeast and southwest. The dune ridge swayed along its fundamental strike and took on an eastward movement gradually. The original dune strike was NW70° on August 3, 1994, and then changed to NE15° on April 21, 2001. The dune crest increased by 1.8 m longitudinally, which manifested strong wind-blown sand activities in this region. Wind erosion frequently occured at the bottom of sand dune, while sand accumulation appeared on its mid-upper section. The mean wind erosion depth was 25 cm on the bottom of linear dune and the height difference of the control points on the dune's ridge was 1.13 m. Although the linear dune swayed laterally, the horizontal displacement of its ridge moved eastward 5.8 m averagely. The swing range of the dune crest line is very distinct, with a maximum value of 13.2 m. The highest site on the K-profile swayed on both sides of the dune ridge and the heights were 19.88 m at the control point K5, 19.61 m at K6 and 19.05 m at K7, respectively. The results indicated that the lateral swing of the linear dune was distinct under the northwesterly wind and it moved toward east gradually.展开更多
BACKGROUND: Multivisceral transplantation (MTX, or cluster transplantation) is defined as the transplantation of three or more abdominal organs en bloc, namely the liver together with the pancreatoduodenal complex, th...BACKGROUND: Multivisceral transplantation (MTX, or cluster transplantation) is defined as the transplantation of three or more abdominal organs en bloc, namely the liver together with the pancreatoduodenal complex, the stomach as well as the small bowel with/without the right hemicolon. Up to May 1999, only 72 cases were reported to the Intestinal Transplant Registry. Organ cluster transplantation may carry with complex hemodynamic alterations. Based on our experience in two cases of abdominal cluster transplantation, we describe the technical details of multivisceral transplantation and the management of hemodynamic changes. METHODS: A Swan-Ganz catheter was placed to assist in monitoring the patients’ hemodynamic status. After the transplantation, the 2 patients were closely observed in the intensive care unit in terms of vital signs; disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) including activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), prothrombin time (PT), thrombin time (TT), fibrinogen (Fg) and D-dimer, and arterial blood gas; and quantity and characteristics of drainage. Additionally, intra-abdominal hemorrhage was supervised by bedside B-ultrasonography or enhanced computed tomography (CT) examination. Whole blood viscosity was monitored 2 weeks after transplantation. The blood flow of the hepatic artery and portal vein and arterial resistant index were assessed routinely by Doppler ultrasonography. RESULTS: Hemodynamic changes were observed during perioperation. Liver and renal function recovered within one week after transplantation. Enteral feedings and oral intake were gradually increased with a reciprocal decrease in parenteral nutrition. Despite systemic antibiotics were given according to the results of frequent cultures, patient 1 died from cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection 4 months after transplantation and patient 2 died of a systemic sepsis 2 months after the operation. CONCLUSIONS: Many factors contribute to the success of multivisceral transplantation. In order to maintain hemodynamics stable during perioperation, preoperative coagulatory function should be corrected, and stable circulation, serum electrocyte balance, and normal body temperature should be kept during the operation in addition to the treatment of intra-abdominal hemorrhage and making up for the loss of body fluid. However, complicatiom, infection and rejection are barriers for the improvement of graft survival.展开更多

Date palm(Phoenix dactylifera)is an economically important fruit tree in the Middle East and North Africa and is characterized by large cultivar diversity,making it a good model for studies on fruit development and ot...Date palm(Phoenix dactylifera)is an economically important fruit tree in the Middle East and North Africa and is characterized by large cultivar diversity,making it a good model for studies on fruit development and other important traits.Here in gel comparative proteomics combined with tandem mass spectrometry were used to study date fruit development and ripening.Total proteins were extracted using a phenol-based protocol.A total of 189 protein spots were differentially regulated(pf0.05).The identified proteins were classified into 14 functional categories.The categories with the most proteins were‘disease and defense’(16.5%)and‘metabolism’(15.4%).Twenty-nine proteins have not previously been identified in other fleshy fruits and 64 showed contrasting expression patterns in other fruits.Abundance of most proteins with a role in abiotic stress responses increased during ripening with the exception of heat shock proteins.Proteins with a role in anthocyanin biosynthesis,glycolysis,tricarboxylic acid cycle and cell wall degradation were upregulated particularly from the onset of ripening and during ripening.In contrast,expression of pentose phosphate-and photosynthesis-related proteins decreased during fruit maturation.Although date palm is considered a climacteric species,the analysis revealed downregulation of two enzymes involved in ethylene biosynthesis,suggesting an ethylene-independent ripening of‘Barhi’fruits.In summary,this proteomics study provides insights into physiological processes during date fruit development and ripening at the systems level and offers a reference proteome for the study of regulatory mechanisms that can inform molecular and biotechnological approaches to further improvements of horticultural traits including fruit quality and yield.展开更多

The pattern evolution and dynamic mechanism of the dynamic changes of regional gravity fields occurring before and after the Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake are analyzed,based on five epochs of 1998-2007 mobile gravity data...The pattern evolution and dynamic mechanism of the dynamic changes of regional gravity fields occurring before and after the Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake are analyzed,based on five epochs of 1998-2007 mobile gravity data from the middle-south section of the north-south seismic belt,and two epochs of field research data collected after the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake in combination with GPS data,leveling observations,and geotectonic environment data.The regional dynamic gravity changes demonstrate the effects of the eastward flow of solid matter in the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau and the preparation of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake(2-10 yr).The two most meaningful gravity indicators of the Wenchuan earthquake preparation are the positive(increasing) gravity changes occurring over many years in the southwest epicenter and the largescale gradient zone of gravity variation,with the cumulative difference between the two sides of the gradient zone of gravity exceeding 200 μGal.The positive gravity changes may facilitate a constant energy accumulation and the gradient belt may support seismic shear breakage.Overall,the gravity changes associated with the earthquake preparation indicate a pattern of accelerating increase-decelerating increase-earthquake occurrence.The Songpan-Ganzi block generally displays a negative gravity change,providing evidence for a local upwarping of the deep crust-mantle and an interior expansion of the deep crust attributable to high temperatures.The viewpoint is consistent with the dilatant mechanism for earthquake preparation.展开更多

T...A nonlinear finite-element program was developed to simulate the dynamic evolution of coagulation in tissue considering temperature and thermal-dose dependence of the ultrasound attenuation and blood perfusion rate. The effects of these dynamic parameters on the lesion formation were investigated in the particular case of ultrasound hepatic ablation with bi-focus intensity pattern. The results of simulations were compared that incorporate dynamic changes of ultrasound attenuation and perfusion and results that neglect these effects. The result shows that thermal-dose-dependent ultrasound attenuation is the dominating factor in the full dynamic model. If the dynamic ultrasound attenuation is ignored, a relatively significant underestimation of the temperature rise appears in the focal plane and the region next to the focal plane, resulting in an underestimation in predicting diameter of coagulation. Higher heating intensity leads to greater underestimation.展开更多

Plant cell cultures represent important model systems to understand metabolism and its modulation by regulatory factors.Even in controlled conditions,cell metabolism is highly dynamic and can be fully characterized on...Plant cell cultures represent important model systems to understand metabolism and its modulation by regulatory factors.Even in controlled conditions,cell metabolism is highly dynamic and can be fully characterized only by time course experiments.Here,we show that statistical analysis of this type of data gains power if it moves to approaches able to compare the‘trends’of the different metabolites.In particular,we show how generalized additive models can be used to model the time-dependent profile of anthocyanin synthesis in grapevine cell suspension cultures(Vitis vinifera cv.Gamay),following treatment with 100μM methyl jasmonate.The sampling was performed daily for 20 days of culturing following elicitation at day 5.All samples were analyzed by UPLC-MS/MS for the identification and quantification of fifteen anthocyanin compounds.The models confirmed the separation in the anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway between delphinidin-based and cyanidin-based compounds,showing that methyl jasmonate modulates the anthocyanin concentration profiles.Our results clearly indicate that the combination of high-throughput metabolomics and state of the art statistical modeling is a powerful approach to study plant metabolism.This approach is expected to gain popularity due to the growing availability of low-cost high-throughput‘omic’assays.展开更多

文摘Objective:To analyze the characteristics,dynamic changes,and outcomes of the first imaging manifestations of 3 patients with severe COVID-19 in our hospital.Methods:Computed tomography(CT)findings of 3 patients with severe COVID-19 who tested positive by the nucleic acid test in our hospital were selected,mainly focusing on the morphology,distribution characteristics,and dynamic changes of the first CT findings.Results:3 patients with severe pneumonia were older,with one aged 80.The first chest CT examination for all 3 patients differed.Imaging showed a leafy distribution of consolidation,primarily affecting the lower lobes of both lungs and extending subpleurally.A grid-like pattern was observed,along with changes in the consolidation and air bronchogram.These changes had slower absorption,especially in patients with underlying diseases.Conclusion:CT manifestations of severe COVID-19 have specific characteristics and the analysis of their characteristics and dynamic changes provide valuable insights for clinical treatment.

文摘AIM To observe the nitric oxide synthase (NOS) distribution in the esophageal mucosa andhemodynamic changes in cirrhotic rats.METHODS NOS distribution in the loweresophagus of rats with carbon tetrachlorideinduced cirrhosis was assessed by using NADPHdiaphorase (NADPH-d ) histochemical method.Concentration of NO in serum were measured byfluorometric assay. Mean arterial pressure(MAP), cardiac output (CO), cardiac index (CI),splanchnic vascular resistance (SVR ), andsplanchnic blood flow (SBF ) were alsodetermined using 5’CO-labeled microspheretechnique.RESULTS Intensity of NOS staining in theesophageal epithelium of cirrhotic rats wassignificantly stronger than that in controls.There was a NOS--positive staining area in theendothelia of esophageal submucosal vessels ofcirrhotic rats, but the NOS staining was negativein normal rats. NO concentration of serum incirrhotic rats were significantly higher incomparison with that of controls. Cirrhotic ratshad significantly lower MAP, SVR and higherSBF than those of the controls.CONCLUSION SPlanchnic hyperdynamiccirculatory state was observed in rats withcirrhosis. The endogenous NO may play animportant role in development of esophagealvarices and in changes of hemodynamics incirrhosis.
文摘Through an in-depth analysis of the per capita net income of rural residents in Nyingchi City,it was known that the per capita net income of rural residents in Nyingchi City was increasing at high speed in recent 10 years. However,the wage income,household operating income,and agricultural income gap constitute the major factors influencing the gap of the per capita net income of rural residents in Nyingchi City. 文摘Zonag, Kusai, Hedin Noel and Yanhu Lakes are independent inland lakes in the Hoh Xil region on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. In September2011, Zonag Lake burst after the water level had increased for many years. Floods flowed through Kusai and Hedin Noel Lakes into Yanhu Lake; since then, the four small endorheic catchments merged into one larger catchment. This hydrological process caused the rapid shrinkage of Zonag Lake and continuous expansion of Yanhu Lake. In this study,based on satellite images, meteorological data and field investigations, we examined the dynamic changes in the four lakes and analyzed the influencing factors. The results showed that before 2011, the trends in the four lake areas were similar and displayed several stages. The change in the area of Zonag Lake corresponded well to the change in annual precipitation(AP), but the magnitude of the change was less than that of a non-glacier-fed lake. Although increased precipitation was the dominant factor that caused Zonag Lake to expand, increased glacier melting and permafrost thawing due to climate warming also had significant effects. After the 2011 outburst of Zonag Lake, due to the increasing AP and accelerating glacier melting, the increases in water volume of the three lakes were absorbed by Yanhu Lake, and Yanhu Lake expanded considerably. According to the rapid growth rates in water level and lake area, Yanhu Lake is likely to burst in 1-2 years.
文摘AIM:To evaluate the dynamic ocular biometric changes of a modified form-deprivation myopia model in young guinea pigs.METHODS:The animals were randomly assigned to two groups:the monocularly deprived facemask group(MDF,with all the right eyes covered,n =24) and the normal control group(free of facemask,n =24).Each group was then equally divided into four subgroups which were followed up for 2,4,6 and 8 weeks,respectively.Parameters measured from every eye included refraction,corneal curvature,axial length and the dry weight of sclera at the posterior pole.RESULTS:All the facemasks remained in place during the follow-up.The covered eyes developed myopia with the vitreous chamber lengthening and the dry weight of posterior sclera reduced at each time point compared with the contralateral uncovered(P <0.05 at all time points).The changes had a linear correlation with the deprivation time(P <0.05).There were no significant differences in all the parameters between the uncovered eyes of MDF group and the normal control group(P >0.05 at all time points).CONCLUSION:Monocular form deprivation with the facemask is highly effective and non-invasive in inducing axial myopia in guinea pigs.The axial myopia is mainly caused by the increased vitreous chamber length and the weakened posterior sclera rigidity.The form-deprivation eye didn't interfere with the natural development of the contralateral eye.

文摘The depression-like behavior phenotype,neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus and miR-124 expression in the hippocampus are the focus of current research on the pathogenesis of depression and antidepressant therapy.The present study aimed to clarify the dynamic changes of depression-like behavior,dentate gyrus neurogenesis and hippocampal miR-124 expression during depression induced by chronic stress to reveal pathological features at different stages of depression and to further provide insight into depression treatment.Chronic unpredictable mild stress depression models were established by exposing Sprague-Dawley rats to various mild stressors,including white noise,thermal swimming,stroboscopic illumination,soiled cages,pairing with three other stressed animals,cold swimming,tail pinch,restraint and water and food deprivation.Chronic unpredictable mild stress model rats underwent dynamic observation from 1 to 8 weeks and were compared with a control group(normal feeding without any stressors).To observe changes in the depression-like behavior phenotype during chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression,a sucrose preference test was used to evaluate the degree of anhedonia.An open-field test was used to evaluate locomotor activity and anxiety status.Compared with the control group,chronic unpredictable mild stress rats lost weight but did not have a depression-like behavioral phenotype at 1-4 weeks.Chronic unpredictable mild stress rats presented decreased sucrose preference and locomotor activity at 5-8 weeks.In addition,chronic unpredictable mild stress rats did not have significant anxiety-like behavior during 1-8 weeks of modeling.To observe neurogenesis dysfunctions and changes in neuronal number in the dentate gyrus during chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression,markers(DCX and DCX/BrdU)of neural proliferation and differentiation and the neuronal marker NeuN were assessed by immunofluorescence.Compared with the control group,neurogenesis and the neuronal number in the dentate gyrus did not change from 2 to 6 weeks;however,neural proliferation and differentiation in the dentate gyrus decreased,and the number of neurons decreased until the eighth week in the chronic unpredictable mild stress group.Real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction assays and fluorescence in situ hybridization were used to measure the expression of hippocampal miR-124 during chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression.The results showed that the expression of hippocampal miR-124 was unchanged during the first 4 weeks but increased from 5 to 6 weeks and decreased from 7 to 8 weeks compared with the control group.These findings indicate that during chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression,the behavioral phenotype,miR-124 expression in the hippocampus,neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus and neuronal numbers showed dynamic changes,which suggested that various pathological changes occur at different stages of depression.All experimental procedures and protocols were approved by the Experimental Animal Ethics Committee of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine of China in March 2015.

文摘The aim of the present study was to evaluate the prognostic potential of postoperative scores of inflammation indexes and the dynamic changes of scores before and after tumor resection in colorectal cancer patients.The study included 516 colorectal cancer patients with primary colorectal tumor resection.Cox regression was applied to estimate the associations of postoperative and dynamic changes of inflammation indexes with progression-free survival and overall survival.As results,we found that higher postoperative neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR),neutrophil and monocyte to lymphocyte ratio (NMLR),platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and systemic immune inflammation index (SII)were associated with shorter progression-free survival.The increased NLR,NMLR,PLR,SII and C-reaction protein (CRP)to albumin (ALB) ratio (CAR)were associated with poor progression-free survival,with HRs (95% CIs)of 1.92 (1.27-2.90),1.46(1.11-2.09),2.10(1.34-3.30),1.81(1.22-2.70)and 1.65(1.03-2.67), respectively.Postoperative NMLR,SII,CAR,and their dynamic changes were also significantly correlated with overall survival,with the HRs (95% CIs)of 2.63(1.30-3.97), 2.44(1.43-4.17),2.74(1.31-5.74),2.08(1.21-3.60),1.97(1.12-3.45)and 2.55(1.21-5.38)respectively.In conclusion,postoperative inflammation indexes and their dynamic changes,particularly for NMLR,SII and CAR are promising prognostic predictors of CRC patients.

文摘The dynamical processes of a typical linear dune including morphological features, dune ridge swing range and crest height were investigated at different monitoring periods in the hinterland of Tengger Desert. The results indicated that the development of linear dune depends on not only the northwesterly prevailing wind, but also the winds from northeast and southwest. The dune ridge swayed along its fundamental strike and took on an eastward movement gradually. The original dune strike was NW70° on August 3, 1994, and then changed to NE15° on April 21, 2001. The dune crest increased by 1.8 m longitudinally, which manifested strong wind-blown sand activities in this region. Wind erosion frequently occured at the bottom of sand dune, while sand accumulation appeared on its mid-upper section. The mean wind erosion depth was 25 cm on the bottom of linear dune and the height difference of the control points on the dune's ridge was 1.13 m. Although the linear dune swayed laterally, the horizontal displacement of its ridge moved eastward 5.8 m averagely. The swing range of the dune crest line is very distinct, with a maximum value of 13.2 m. The highest site on the K-profile swayed on both sides of the dune ridge and the heights were 19.88 m at the control point K5, 19.61 m at K6 and 19.05 m at K7, respectively. The results indicated that the lateral swing of the linear dune was distinct under the northwesterly wind and it moved toward east gradually.
文摘BACKGROUND: Multivisceral transplantation (MTX, or cluster transplantation) is defined as the transplantation of three or more abdominal organs en bloc, namely the liver together with the pancreatoduodenal complex, the stomach as well as the small bowel with/without the right hemicolon. Up to May 1999, only 72 cases were reported to the Intestinal Transplant Registry. Organ cluster transplantation may carry with complex hemodynamic alterations. Based on our experience in two cases of abdominal cluster transplantation, we describe the technical details of multivisceral transplantation and the management of hemodynamic changes. METHODS: A Swan-Ganz catheter was placed to assist in monitoring the patients’ hemodynamic status. After the transplantation, the 2 patients were closely observed in the intensive care unit in terms of vital signs; disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) including activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), prothrombin time (PT), thrombin time (TT), fibrinogen (Fg) and D-dimer, and arterial blood gas; and quantity and characteristics of drainage. Additionally, intra-abdominal hemorrhage was supervised by bedside B-ultrasonography or enhanced computed tomography (CT) examination. Whole blood viscosity was monitored 2 weeks after transplantation. The blood flow of the hepatic artery and portal vein and arterial resistant index were assessed routinely by Doppler ultrasonography. RESULTS: Hemodynamic changes were observed during perioperation. Liver and renal function recovered within one week after transplantation. Enteral feedings and oral intake were gradually increased with a reciprocal decrease in parenteral nutrition. Despite systemic antibiotics were given according to the results of frequent cultures, patient 1 died from cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection 4 months after transplantation and patient 2 died of a systemic sepsis 2 months after the operation. CONCLUSIONS: Many factors contribute to the success of multivisceral transplantation. In order to maintain hemodynamics stable during perioperation, preoperative coagulatory function should be corrected, and stable circulation, serum electrocyte balance, and normal body temperature should be kept during the operation in addition to the treatment of intra-abdominal hemorrhage and making up for the loss of body fluid. However, complicatiom, infection and rejection are barriers for the improvement of graft survival.

文摘Dynamic changes of a microbial community for lignocellulose degradation were explored in details. Community composition and development were investigated by the means of denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE), and results showed that the microbial community was constituted of 14 kinds of bacteria and presented the fluctuation in some degrees with fermentation. Furthmore, the result of cluster analysis of DGGE pattern was accordant with growth curve, and the degradation process was divided into three stages: initial stage (0-12 h), intermediate stage (24-144 h) and end stage (144-216 h).
文摘Date palm(Phoenix dactylifera)is an economically important fruit tree in the Middle East and North Africa and is characterized by large cultivar diversity,making it a good model for studies on fruit development and other important traits.Here in gel comparative proteomics combined with tandem mass spectrometry were used to study date fruit development and ripening.Total proteins were extracted using a phenol-based protocol.A total of 189 protein spots were differentially regulated(pf0.05).The identified proteins were classified into 14 functional categories.The categories with the most proteins were‘disease and defense’(16.5%)and‘metabolism’(15.4%).Twenty-nine proteins have not previously been identified in other fleshy fruits and 64 showed contrasting expression patterns in other fruits.Abundance of most proteins with a role in abiotic stress responses increased during ripening with the exception of heat shock proteins.Proteins with a role in anthocyanin biosynthesis,glycolysis,tricarboxylic acid cycle and cell wall degradation were upregulated particularly from the onset of ripening and during ripening.In contrast,expression of pentose phosphate-and photosynthesis-related proteins decreased during fruit maturation.Although date palm is considered a climacteric species,the analysis revealed downregulation of two enzymes involved in ethylene biosynthesis,suggesting an ethylene-independent ripening of‘Barhi’fruits.In summary,this proteomics study provides insights into physiological processes during date fruit development and ripening at the systems level and offers a reference proteome for the study of regulatory mechanisms that can inform molecular and biotechnological approaches to further improvements of horticultural traits including fruit quality and yield.

文摘Two varieties of Jerusalem artichoke (early maturing variety Qingyu No.1 and middle maturing variety Qingyu No.2),which were bred independently by Research and Development Center of Jerusalem Artichoke,Qinghai Academy of Agriculture and Forestry,were used as materials,and the content and dynamic changes of three kinds of carbohydrates (sucrose,glucose and fructose) in various organs of Jerusalem artichoke in different periods in two natural habitats (water plain and low hill dry land) were studied.The results showed that the content of the three kinds of carbohydrates in Qingyu No.1 and Qingyu No.2 in the water plain and low hill dry land was relatively high in late June and late August.The total content of the three carbohydrates in Qingyu No.1 peaked earlier than that of Qingyu No.2.The total content of the three carbohydrates in the water plain peaked earlier than that of the low hill dry land.In the whole growth period,the total content of the three carbohydrates in the stems and roots of Jerusalem artichoke was higher than that of the leaves.In the leaves,fructose accumulation was relatively obvious in the whole growth period,and the content was high,followed by glucose.In the stems and roots,fructose content was high,followed by sucrose.In the tubers,glucose accumulation was obvious,and sucrose content was lower than glucose and fructose content.When the tubers were harvested,fructose content was high.

文摘The pattern evolution and dynamic mechanism of the dynamic changes of regional gravity fields occurring before and after the Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake are analyzed,based on five epochs of 1998-2007 mobile gravity data from the middle-south section of the north-south seismic belt,and two epochs of field research data collected after the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake in combination with GPS data,leveling observations,and geotectonic environment data.The regional dynamic gravity changes demonstrate the effects of the eastward flow of solid matter in the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau and the preparation of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake(2-10 yr).The two most meaningful gravity indicators of the Wenchuan earthquake preparation are the positive(increasing) gravity changes occurring over many years in the southwest epicenter and the largescale gradient zone of gravity variation,with the cumulative difference between the two sides of the gradient zone of gravity exceeding 200 μGal.The positive gravity changes may facilitate a constant energy accumulation and the gradient belt may support seismic shear breakage.Overall,the gravity changes associated with the earthquake preparation indicate a pattern of accelerating increase-decelerating increase-earthquake occurrence.The Songpan-Ganzi block generally displays a negative gravity change,providing evidence for a local upwarping of the deep crust-mantle and an interior expansion of the deep crust attributable to high temperatures.The viewpoint is consistent with the dilatant mechanism for earthquake preparation.

文摘A nonlinear finite-element program was developed to simulate the dynamic evolution of coagulation in tissue considering temperature and thermal-dose dependence of the ultrasound attenuation and blood perfusion rate. The effects of these dynamic parameters on the lesion formation were investigated in the particular case of ultrasound hepatic ablation with bi-focus intensity pattern. The results of simulations were compared that incorporate dynamic changes of ultrasound attenuation and perfusion and results that neglect these effects. The result shows that thermal-dose-dependent ultrasound attenuation is the dominating factor in the full dynamic model. If the dynamic ultrasound attenuation is ignored, a relatively significant underestimation of the temperature rise appears in the focal plane and the region next to the focal plane, resulting in an underestimation in predicting diameter of coagulation. Higher heating intensity leads to greater underestimation.

文摘Landsat TM/OLI images of the built-up areas in Chengde City(Shuangqiao District and Shuangluan District) in 2000,2009 and 2014 were adopted,Support Vector Machine(SVM) was applied to classify the images automatically,land use/cover map of the study area was obtained after precision test.Through analyzing the land use types in the study area and also applying transfer matrix to monitor the changes,the results showed that human activities and urbanization in the past 14 years have brought the increasing tendency of construction land,and the negative growth of arable land,forest and shrubbery land.It is urgent to adopt corresponding measures to maintain the coverage of forest and shrubbery land in the built-up area of Chengde City,so as to reduce the impact of human activities and improve urban ecological environment.
文摘Plant cell cultures represent important model systems to understand metabolism and its modulation by regulatory factors.Even in controlled conditions,cell metabolism is highly dynamic and can be fully characterized only by time course experiments.Here,we show that statistical analysis of this type of data gains power if it moves to approaches able to compare the‘trends’of the different metabolites.In particular,we show how generalized additive models can be used to model the time-dependent profile of anthocyanin synthesis in grapevine cell suspension cultures(Vitis vinifera cv.Gamay),following treatment with 100μM methyl jasmonate.The sampling was performed daily for 20 days of culturing following elicitation at day 5.All samples were analyzed by UPLC-MS/MS for the identification and quantification of fifteen anthocyanin compounds.The models confirmed the separation in the anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway between delphinidin-based and cyanidin-based compounds,showing that methyl jasmonate modulates the anthocyanin concentration profiles.Our results clearly indicate that the combination of high-throughput metabolomics and state of the art statistical modeling is a powerful approach to study plant metabolism.This approach is expected to gain popularity due to the growing availability of low-cost high-throughput‘omic’assays.
