Based on the electrical properties of sea ice and seawater, the method measures the apparent conductivity, which represents the conductivity of the half-space, and calculates the thickness of the sea ice. During the fourth Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition in summer 2010, an integrated electromagnetic induction system was set up on the icebreaker R/V XUE LONG to measure sea ice thickness along the ship's tracks to the north of the Chukchi Sea. The conductivities of sea ice, seawater, and brine were measured and a simple forward model was used to explain the effect of changes in those conductivities on the apparent conductivity over a horizontal layered structure. The results of this analysis indicated that when using the electromagnetic induction method to measure sea ice thickness, the conductivity of sea ice could be neglected and the conductivity of seawater could be treated as a constant. The ice distribution results derived from the electromagnetic induction method showed that the typical sea ice thickness was 160 cm and 90 cm during the outbound and the return legs of the voyage, respectively.展开更多

However, this method is rarely reported in the detection of pipelines in urban geophysical exploration and the application of coal mines. Based on this, this paper realizes the equivalent anti-magnetic flux transient electromagnetic method based on the dual launcher. The suppression effect of this method on the blind area is analyzed by physical simulation. And the detection experiment of underground pipelines is carried out outdoors. The results show that the dual launcher can significantly reduce the turn-off time, thereby effectively reducing the impact of the blind area on the detection results, and the pipeline detection results verify the device’s effectiveness. Finally, based on the ground experimental results, the application prospect of mine advanced detection is discussed. Compared with other detection fields, the formation of blind areas is mainly caused by the equipment. If the dual launcher can be used to reduce the blind area, the accuracy of advanced detection can be improved more effectively. The above research results are of great significance for improving the detection accuracy of the underground transient electromagnetic method.展开更多

Based on the operation principles, steady state equivalent circuit and basic equations of DFIG, the modeling for electromagnetic calculation of DFIG was proposed. The electromagnetic calculation of DFIG was divided into three steps: the magnetic flux calculation, parameters derivation and performance checks. For each step, the detailed numeric calculation formulas were all derived. Combining the calculation formulas, the whole electromagnetic calculation procedure was established, which consisted of three iterative calculation loops, including magnetic saturation coefficient, electromotive force and total output power. All of the electromagnetic and performance data of DIFG can be calculated conveniently by the established calculation procedure, which can be used to evaluate the new designed machine. A 1.5 MW DFIG designed by the proposed procedure was built, for which the whole type tests including no-load test, load test and temperature rising test were carried out. The test results have shown that the DFIG satisfies technical requirements and the test data fit well with the calculation results which prove the correctness of the presented calculation method.展开更多

But their interpretation and theoretical study took a long time. The theoretical research on electricity began with the discovery of Coulomb’s law in 1785, while the theoretical research on magnetism began with the discovery of Oersted’s Law in 1820. From the 1850s to the 1870s, Maxwell summarized a set of theoretical equations for electromagnetism based on some laws of predecessors. However, this set of equations contains a few statistical relationships and empirical concepts, so it is difficult to explain the physical nature of electromagnetic phenomena and principles. This paper explained that the macro phenomenon of electricity is the separation of unlike charges of new electrons produced by the orthogonal collision of old particles under the action of external forces. The physical nature of magnetism is the potential energy (magnetic energy) and information associated with the overall orientation of the moving electrons solidly recorded in the material. The physical principle of electromagnetic induction describes how change in electric current intensity generates change in magnetic intensity and vice versa through orthogonal interaction of ordered electrons. This theoretical interpretation does not require the concepts of traditional electromagnetic forces, electromagnetic fields, magnetic moments, and magnetic domains.展开更多

Particular interest was given in this article due to a massive influx of population living near high voltage lines. The analysis and simulation of the influence of low frequency electromagnetic fields on living beings in the vicinity of high voltage sources 132 kV and 220 kV in urban areas in DR Congo is the subject of our research with a view to estimating the level of exposure of humans to low frequency electromagnetic fields. However, the existing detection methods based on parametric spectrum estimation cannot realize online detection, owing to the large computational cost. To improve the efficiency of BRB fault detection,a new detection method based on the min-norm algorithm and least square estimation is proposed in this paper. First, the stator current is filtered using a band-pass filter and divided into short overlapped data windows. The min-norm algorithm is then applied to determine the frequencies of the fundamental and fault characteristic components with each overlapped data window. Next, based on the frequency values obtained, a model of the fault current signal is constructed. Subsequently, a linear least squares problem solved through singular value decomposition is designed to estimate the amplitudes and phases of the related components. Finally, the proposed method is applied to a simulated current and an actual motor, the results of which indicate that, not only parametric spectrum estimation technique.展开更多

Based on the principle of electromagnetic induction Faraday, we have designed and realized the nondestructive testing system for stress concentration area of ferromagnetic materials by means of the research of metal materials inverse magnetostrictive effect mechanism. The system changes the influence degree of the stress in ferromagnetic materials’ magnetic conductance to the corresponding voltage array by using discrete wavelet analysis method to process the data, in which not only the measuring accuracy is improved, but also the stress concentration is more directly reflected. The experiments confirm that the electromagnetic stress testing method is feasible and valid.展开更多

The motion of a drinking bird is produced by the entropy-flow explained by the second law of thermodynamics, which is one of the fundamental laws of heat engines. We propose a disk-magnet electromagnetic induction (DM-EMI) employed to the motion of a drinking bird. The generalization of DM-EMI to heat engines for?mechanoelectric?energy conversions and properties of extracted electric powers are specifically discussed. The electric power of DM-EMI has a limited power generation characteristic to a mechanical rotation produced by heat engines, but it will be very useful for practical applications to wind turbines, coal-fired and nuclear power plant for?mechanoelectric?energy conversions. The DM-EMI will contribute to environmental problems to maintain clean and susceptible energy as one of?energy?harvesting technologies.展开更多

The rotating capacitor filter is a signal processingmethod based on the phase-sensitive detection technology. It can extract the weak signal from the strong and widebandbackground noise, so it is very suitable for the processing of capacitive electromagnetic flow signals. 文摘We discuss a thermoelectric energy generation (TEG) technique by employing a thermomechanical model of a drinking bird (DB). The DM-EMI will contribute to environmental problems to maintain clean and susceptible energy as one of?energy?harvesting technologies.

文摘The finite volume time domain(FVTD) algorithm and Green function algorithm are extended to Schwarzschild spacetime for numerical simulation of electromagnetic scattering. The FVTD method in Schwarzschild spacetime is developed by filling the flat spacetime with an equivalent medium. The Green function in Schwarzschild spacetime is acquired by solving initial value problems. Both the FVTD code and the Green function code are validated by numerical results. Scattering in Schwarzschild spacetime is simulated with these methods.

文摘Voltage sag is one of the most common power quality disturbances in industry, which causes huge inrush currents in stator windings of induction motors, and adversely impacts the motor secure operation. This paper firstly introduces a 2D Time-Stepping multi-slice finite element method(2D T-S multi-slice FEM)which is used for calculating the magnetic field distribution in induction motors under different sag events. Then the paper deduces the transient analytical expression of stator inrush current based on the classical theory of AC motors and presents a separation method for the positive, negative and zero sequence values based on instantaneous currents. With this method, the paper studies the influences of voltage sag amplitude,phase-angle jump and initial phase angle on the stator positive-and negative-sequence peak currents of 5.5 kW and 55 kW induction motors. This paper further proposes a motor protection method under voltage sag condition with the stator negative-sequence peak currents as the protection threshold,so that the protection false trip can be avoided effectively. Finally, the calculation and analysis results are validated by the comparison of calculated and measured stator peak value of the 5.5 kW induction motor.
文摘A kind of signal acquisition circuit and the related signal processing method of the capacitanceelectromagnetic flowmeter (EMF) were introduced. The circuit can eliminate the influence of distributed capacitanceon the input impedance of the operational amplifier, and greatly improve the input impedance of the detection circuitto overcome the disadvantage of high signal source impedance. The rotating capacitor filter is a signal processingmethod based on the phase-sensitive detection technology. It can extract the weak signal from the strong and widebandbackground noise, so it is very suitable for the processing of capacitive electromagnetic flow signals. Throughthe comparison of the signal amplitude obtained at different flow rates and the comparison of signal spectrumcomponents before and after the filter, the effectiveness of the bootstrap signal acquisition circuit and rotatingcapacitor filtering method is verified.
