The characteristic of large-scale object non-contact mea surement is analyzed and the measuring method is proposed. Main factors influenc ing measurement precision such as image distortion and accurate designation of s peckle center are analyzed and methods of solving these problems are proposed. W e designed a combined filter by which the pulse noise and the Gaussian noise of speckle image can be eliminated efficiently. Using the characteristic of intensi ty distribution of laser speckle image we proposed a new approximating method th at could locate the center of laser speckle image at sub-pixel. The auxiliary v ariables are set to linearize the relationship between the image displacement an d the distance, the accurate values of laser triangulation system parameters cou ld be calibrated accurately and the measuring precision is increased remarkabl y. Using the above techniques we designed a measuring system based on laser sc anning triangulation. The results of the experiment show that these methods can raise the measuring precision of large-scale 3D surface profile effectively.展开更多

Spectroscopic measurements and terahertz imaging of the cornea are carried out by using a rapid scanning terahertz time domain spectroscopy(THz-TDS) system.A voice coil motor stage based optical delay line(VCM-ODL...Spectroscopic measurements and terahertz imaging of the cornea are carried out by using a rapid scanning terahertz time domain spectroscopy(THz-TDS) system.A voice coil motor stage based optical delay line(VCM-ODL) is developed to provide a rather simple and robust structure with both the high scanning speed and the large delay length.The developed system is used for THz spectroscopic measurements and imaging of the corneal tissue with different amounts of water content,and the measurement results show the consistence with the reported results,in which the measurement time using VCM-ODL is a factor of 360 shorter than the traditional motorized optical delay line(MDL).With reducing the water content a monotonic decrease of the complex permittivity of the cornea is observed.The two-term Debye relaxation model is employed to explain our experimental results,revealing that the fast relaxation time of a dehydrated cornea is much larger than that of a hydrated cornea and its dielectric behavior can be affected by the presence of the biological macromolecules.These results demonstrate that our THz spectrometer may be a promising candidate for tissue hydration sensing and practical application of THz technology.展开更多
BACKGROUND Giant cell tumor of soft tissue(GCT-ST)is an extremely rare low-grade soft tissue tumor that is originates in superficial tissue and rarely spreads deeper.GCT-ST has unpredictable behavior.It is mainly beni...BACKGROUND Giant cell tumor of soft tissue(GCT-ST)is an extremely rare low-grade soft tissue tumor that is originates in superficial tissue and rarely spreads deeper.GCT-ST has unpredictable behavior.It is mainly benign,but may sometimes become aggressive and potentially increase in size within a short period of time.CASE SUMMARY A 17-year-old man was suspected of having a fracture,based on radiography following left shoulder trauma.One month later,the swelling of the left shoulder continued to increase and the pain was obvious.Computed tomography(CT)revealed a soft tissue mass with strip-like calcifications in the left shoulder.The mass invaded the adjacent humerus and showed an insect-like area of destruction at the edge of the cortical bone of the upper humerus.The marrow cavity of the upper humerus was enlarged,and a soft tissue density was seen in the medullary cavity.Thoracic CT revealed multiple small nodules beneath the pleura of both lungs.A bone scan demonstrated increased activity in the left shoulder joint and proximal humerus.The mass showed mixed moderate hypointensity and hyperintensity on T1-weighted images,and mixed hyperintensity on T2-weighted fat-saturated images.The final diagnosis of GCT-ST was confirmed by pathology.CONCLUSION GCT-STs should be considered in the differential diagnosis of soft tissue tumors and monitored for large increases in size.展开更多
Nanoparticles provide great advantages but also great risks. Risks associating with nanoparticles are the problem of all technologies, but they increase in many times in nanotechnologies. Adequate methods of outgoing ...Nanoparticles provide great advantages but also great risks. Risks associating with nanoparticles are the problem of all technologies, but they increase in many times in nanotechnologies. Adequate methods of outgoing production inspection are necessary to solve the problem of risks, and the inspection must be based on the safety standard. Existing safety standard results from a principle of “maximum permissible concentrations or MPC”. This principle is not applicable to nanoparticles, but a safety standard reflecting risks inherent in nanoparticles doesn’t exist. Essence of the risks is illustrated by the example from pharmacology, since its safety assurance is conceptually based on MPC and it has already come against this problem. Possible formula of safety standard for nanoparticles is reflected in many publications, but conventional inspection methods cannot provide its realization, and this gap is an obstacle to assumption of similar formulas. Therefore the development of nanoparticle industry as a whole (also development of the pharmacology in particular) is impossible without the creation of an adequate inspection method. There are suggested new inspection methods founded on the new physical principle and satisfying to the adequate safety standard for nanoparticles. These methods demonstrate that creation of the adequate safety standard and the outgoing production inspection in a large-scale manufacturing of nanoparticles are the solvable problems. However there is a great distance between the physical principle and its hardware realization, and a transition from the principle to the hardware demands great intellectual and material costs. Therefore it is desirable to call attention of the public at large to the necessity of urgent expansions of investigations associated with outgoing inspections in nanoparticles technologies. It is necessary also to attract attention, first, of representatives of state structures controlling approvals of the adequate safety standard to this problem, since it is impossible to compel producers providing the safety without the similar standard, and, second, of leaders of pharmacological industry, since their industry already entered into the nanotechnology era, and they have taken an interest in a forthcoming development of inspection methods.展开更多
Splenosis is a condition in which splenic tissue is present in a non-anatomical position. Here we report...Splenosis is a condition in which splenic tissue is present in a non-anatomical position. Implants of splenic tissue can mimic neoplasms and only specific examinations can confirm the correct diagnosis. Here we report a case of a 23-year-old male patient with a history of surgical splenectomy during childhood after trauma. He was admitted to the emergency department with acute bowel obstruction. An abdominalpelvic computed tomography (CT) scan revealed small bowel obstruction and the presence of two rounded, solid masses located in the rectal-vescical pouch. Quantitative analyses of the different density values in the arterial phase and early portal venous phase demonstrated that these lesions were highly vascularised (92 and 97 Hounsfield Units, respectively). The hypothesis of an ectopic splenic mass was made after evaluation of the CT images and clinical history. The acute bowel obstruction caused by adhesive intestinal syndrome was resolved by surgical adhesiolysis. The smallest mass adherent to the rectum was removed. Histopathologic examination confirmed the benign nature of the lesion, which consisted of splenic tissue.展开更多
目的:探讨自动乳腺容积成像(automated breast volume scanning,ABVS)和声脉冲辐射力成像(acoustic radiation force impulse,ARFI)两种超声技术联合对常规超声诊断为可疑乳腺肿块的良恶性鉴别诊断能力。方法:对118例乳腺肿块常规超声...目的:探讨自动乳腺容积成像(automated breast volume scanning,ABVS)和声脉冲辐射力成像(acoustic radiation force impulse,ARFI)两种超声技术联合对常规超声诊断为可疑乳腺肿块的良恶性鉴别诊断能力。方法:对118例乳腺肿块常规超声评估分类为乳腺影像报告和数据系统(Breast Imaging Reporting And Data System,BI-RADS)4类及以上的患者,应用ABVS分析肿块有无冠状面图像特征(汇聚征与微钙化),应用ARFI检测声触诊组织成像(virtual touch tissue imaging,VTI)中肿块在弹性图与二维图的面积比和声触诊组织量化成像(virtual touch tissue imaging quantification,VTIQ)中肿块剪切波速度的平均值(V_(mean)),对乳腺肿块良恶性的图像按照冠状面有无汇聚征、有无微钙化分类,有任意一种即记为阳性;VTI肿块面积比值大于1.65记为阳性;V_(mean)大于4.14 m/s为阳性。计算并比较ABVS、ARFI单独以及两者联合诊断BI-RADS 4类乳腺肿块的灵敏度、特异度、准确度、阳性预测值、阴性预测值。结果:乳腺肿块在ARFI的检查中,恶性肿块的VTI面积比(1.76±0.61)高于良性肿块VTI面积比(1.14±0.48),恶性肿块的V_(mean)[(6.38±1.76)m/s]高于良性肿块[(4.17±1.43)m/s],差异均有统计学意义(P<0.01)。在BI-RADS 4类乳腺肿块中,ABVS检查中汇聚征或微钙化对恶性乳腺肿块检出的灵敏度、特异度、准确度、阳性预测值及阴性预测值分别为92%、78.3%、84.5%、78.0%及92.2%;VTI诊断乳腺恶性肿块的灵敏度、特异度、准确度、阳性预测值及阴性预测值分别为70.0%、81.7%、76.4%、76.1%及76.6%;VTIQ诊断恶性乳腺肿块的灵敏度、特异度、准确度、阳性预测值、阴性预测值分别为96.0%、58.3%、75.5%、65.8%及94.6%。ABVS与ARFI两者联合诊断的灵敏度、特异度、准确度、阳性预测值、阴性预测值分别为100.0%、50.0%、72.7%、62.5%及100.0%。结论:ABVS与ARFI可补充常规二维超声无法获得的乳腺肿块信息,丰富肿块诊断的依据,扩展疾病鉴别诊断的思路,两者结合可达到优势互补的效果,有助于提高诊断的准确度。展开更多
