With low viscosity and good water solubility, as well as anti-oxidant, immune regulation, anti-bacterial and antiinflammatory activities, AOS have been widely used in medical science and functional food, green agriculture and other fields. As new bio-feed additives, AOS have broad potential applications in animal husbandry. In this review, the sources of alginate, chemical structure and preparation methods of AOS, and their biological activities and application in livestock and poultry are summarized. The results showed: a great linear relation existed between the feed factors and 7 pollutants such as ammonia nitrogen, phosphorus, copper, iron, arsenic, mercury, cadmium in livestock and poultry's dung. The main affecting factors of feed were respectively nitrogen, phosphorus, copper, and arsenic, which were totally feed ingredient elements. And it indicated that the dung pollutants such as nitrogen, phosphorus, copper, iron, arsenic, mercury, and cadmium could be regulated by controlling the feed ingredients. But the dung nitrogen did not have a linear relation with the feed factors. Reducing the nitrogen in feed did not mean the relative decrease of the dung nitrogen content. Feed consumption rate of unit weight did not have notable performances, and it did not show curve model after curve fitting method. The pollutant index of ammonia nitrogen, phosphorus, copper, and arsenic of the group whose feed consumption rate of unit weight was less than 20 g/kg·d was extremely remarkably lower than those of the 20 -30 g/kg·d group. The pollutant index of mercury, chromium, and cadmium showed the opposite performance. With the increase of feed consumption rate, each pollutant did not act in an increasing trend, of which the pollutant index of ammonia nitrogen and the general phosphorus presented a quadratic model trend. The feed consumption level of unit weight had an extremely remarkable effect on the pollution level rate and the eady warning level rate, showing the thrice model trend, of which the 20 -30 g/kg. d group was the maximal, respectively for 16.67% and 50%, which was the same with the above-mentioned law.展开更多

The results showed that based on planting-breeding pattern, the livestock and poultry manure load in Nanjing City was 14.08 t/hm2 pig manure equivalent; the warning values of environmental bearing capacity of livestock and poultry breeding calculated by nitrogen and phosphor- us were 0.23 and 0.26, respectively, which were within the scope of environmental hearing capacity, with no threat to the environment. The results showed that the vaccines had a good protective efficacy on highly pathogenic avian influenza( HPAI) and Newcastle disease( ND) in Wuhan City. The whole antibody levels kept above the ministerial standard( 】 70%).However,the vaccine immunity of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome( PRRS),swine fever( SF) and foot and mouth disease( FMD) was still poorly protective. For several consecutive years, the annual slaughter swine has reached to more than 700 million head, 70 million head of carcasses, about 2 million tons. The number will be even more if cattle, sheep and poultry had been considered. If handled improperly, the large number of carcasses of livestock and poultry will seriously pollute environment and even bring food safety issues and harm to public health security. More and more concern has been attracted on harmless disposal of dead animals. Of all the harmless disposal methods on carcasses of livestock and poultry, the application and research of alkalizalion hydrolysisar ( AH ) are less and only restricted in the higher-level security laboratory field in China. The method of alkalization hydrolysis has the advantages of completely inactivating pathogenic microorganisms (including prions), no harmful gas, simple operation, low cost, etc, which has the value of research and application. [Method] Chicken houses and hog houses were selected a...[Objectives] The paper was to study the effects of probiotics on breeding environment of livestock and poultry and intestinal microorgan-isms of breeding animals. [Method] Chicken houses and hog houses were selected as the research objects. The breeding house supplemented with basal diet was used as the control group;the breeding house sprayed with probiotics product 1 was experimental group 1(exogenous treatment);the basal diet mixed with probiotics product 2 and drinking water mixed with product 3 was experimental group 2(endogenous treatment);and the com-bination of the two experimental groups was experimental group 3. [Results] Experimental groups 1 and 2 reduced the concentration of ammonia in hog houses and chicken houses, and the effect of experimental group 2 was better than that of experimental group 1. Experimental group 3 had the best effect, which significantly reduced the ammonia concentration in hog houses and chicken houses by 28.67% and 34.09%, respectively, and the average ammonia concentration outside the house within the range of 100-300 m was less than 2 mg/m^(3). Moreover, it significantly increased the number of intestinal lactobacillus and reduced the number of Escherichia coli. [Conclusions] Probiotics can effectively reduce the ammonia concentration in livestock and poultry breeding environment, and improve the intestinal microbial structure of breeding animals. The technology of spraying exogenous probiotics combined with the use of content-derived probiotics has great potential for popularization and application.展开更多
[Objectives]A method for the detection of monensin in poultry and livestock meat by pre-column derivatization-high performance liquid chromatography was established.[Methods]The sample was extracted with chloroform,de...[Objectives]A method for the detection of monensin in poultry and livestock meat by pre-column derivatization-high performance liquid chromatography was established.[Methods]The sample was extracted with chloroform,derivatized with trichloroacetic acid and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine,and centrifuged to obtain a purified solution.A C18 chromatographic column(4.6 mm×150 mm,5μm)was used for separation with(1.5%)acetic acid water∶methanol(volume ratio)=1∶9 as the mobile phase using a DAD detector for detection,and the external standard method was adopted for peak area quantification.[Results]Monensin had good linearity in the concentration range of 5.00-200 mg/L,with the linear correlation coefficient r 2>0.999;the detection limit was 5.00 mg/kg;the relative standard deviation was smaller than 10%;and the recoveries of standard addition experiment were in the range of 75%-110%.[Conclusions]The method has the advantages of simple pretreatment operation,good derivatization effect and fast detection speed,and is suitable for detecting monensin in poultry and livestock meat.展开更多
Aiming at a series of hot issues and topics,such as resource waste,environmental pollution,and Mollisol protection,related to the arbitrary discharge of livestock and poultry feces,livestock and poultry feces are take...Aiming at a series of hot issues and topics,such as resource waste,environmental pollution,and Mollisol protection,related to the arbitrary discharge of livestock and poultry feces,livestock and poultry feces are taken as the research object,a questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate residents’cognition and willingness to pay(WTP)for the nonmarket value of livestock and poultry feces returning to farmland in Heilongjiang Province,China.The contingent valuation method(CVM)was used for the correlation analysis of WTP and socioeconomic characteristics,and correlation analysis of payment mode and socioeconomic characteristics.Meanwhile,the factors influencing WTP and payment mode were analyzed.The results show that the majority of the respondents are aware of the harmfulness of the arbitrary discharge of livestock and poultry feces and the importance of its nonmarket regeneration value.Approximately 90.09% of respondents were willing to pay for the return of livestock and poultry feces to fields.In 2020,the total value of WTP of livestock and poultry feces returning to farmland in Heilongjiang Province was 4.65 billion CNY,equivalent to 1.32% of the total agricultural production of Heilongjiang Province in the same year.And the nonmarket value of livestock and poultry feces is estimated to be 1456.69 CNY/t.The annual average WTP of rural and urban households is 286.42 CNY and 422.90 CNY per household,accounting for 0.46% and 0.52% of the average annual income of households,respectively.Therefore,the return of livestock and poultry feces to farmland utilization has a high nonmarket value.The analysis shows that the average annual household income is a significant factor in WTP,and the registered permanent residence type and the average annual household income are significant factors in payment mode.The research results should provide a scientific and theoretical basis for the government’s policy and decision-making on the return of livestock and poultry feces to farmland.展开更多
In consideration of the need to maintain planting-breeding balance, this article examines the capacity of the soil in Putian City, Fujian Province to absorb livestock and poultry excreta, and computes the environmenta...In consideration of the need to maintain planting-breeding balance, this article examines the capacity of the soil in Putian City, Fujian Province to absorb livestock and poultry excreta, and computes the environmental carrying capacity for livestock and poultry farming (ECCLPF) in each district of the city in terms of the fertility characteristics of the soil in the city, as well as its mix of crops cultivated and farming methods. On the basis of the computations, this work proceeds to classify the alarm grades of the city's environmental carrying capacity for livestock and poultry framing, and assess the environmental impact of the livestock and poultry farming industry. The results of our study indicate that, the city's ECCLPF ranges from 8.27 to 23.23 heads per ha when computed on the basis of nitrogen, and from 5.79 to 24.53 heads per ha when computed on the basis of phosphorus. A comparison between our research findings and the existing farming scale in Putian reveals that, in certain parts of the city, ECCLPF is overburdened to varying degrees. Specifically, Chengxiang District is severely overburdened, Hanjiang District and Meizhou Island have a level of overburdening between virtual overburdening and significant overburdening, Licheng District is virtually overburdened, and Xiuyu, Xianyou, and Bei'an Districts have not exceeded their environmental carrying capacity and therefore have varying levels of potential for growth.展开更多

Therefore, the accurate prediction of...The widening gap between the supply and demand levels for livestock and poultry products in the Chinese mainland poses a significant challenge to the secure supply of feed grains. Therefore, the accurate prediction of the demand potential for feed grains represents a key scientific issue for ensuring food security in the Chinese mainland. This study is based on an analysis of several factors, such as the Chinese mainland’s output, trade volume, apparent consumption of livestock and poultry products, and two different scenarios for predicting the future demand for feed grains are assessed. The results indicate that output and consumption of livestock and poultry products, as well as the country’s trade deficit and the pressure of the supply and demand balance with respect to these products, have been increasing in recent years. The analysis predicts that the demand for feed grains in the Chinese mainland will reach 425.5 or 389.6 million tons in 2030 based on the two scenarios. This finding indicates that with the increasing demand for livestock and poultry products in the Chinese mainland, the demand for feed grains will continue to increase, and the shortfall in feed grains and raw materials will expand further, especially dependence on external sources of protein-rich feed grains will remain high.展开更多

But the dung nitrogen did not have a linear relation with the feed factors. Reducing the nitrogen in feed did not mean the relative decrease of the dung nitrogen content. Feed consumption rate of unit weight did not have notable performances, and it did not show curve model after curve fitting method. The pollutant index of ammonia nitrogen, phosphorus, copper, and arsenic of the group whose feed consumption rate of unit weight was less than 20 g/kg·d was extremely remarkably lower than those of the 20 -30 g/kg·d group. The pollutant index of mercury, chromium, and cadmium showed the opposite performance. With the increase of feed consumption rate, each pollutant did not act in an increasing trend, of which the pollutant index of ammonia nitrogen and the general phosphorus presented a quadratic model trend. The feed consumption level of unit weight had an extremely remarkable effect on the pollution level rate and the eady warning level rate, showing the thrice model trend, of which the 20 -30 g/kg. d group was the maximal, respectively for 16.67% and 50%, which was the same with the above-mentioned law.

文摘To assess the status of environmental beating capacity of livestock and poultry manure in Nanjing City, the environmental pollution warning value and environmental bearing potential of livestock and poultry manure in various districts of Nanjing were calculated according to livestock and poultry manure discharge coefticiem and manure content. The results showed that based on planting-breeding pattern, the livestock and poultry manure load in Nanjing City was 14.08 t/hm2 pig manure equivalent; the warning values of environmental bearing capacity of livestock and poultry breeding calculated by nitrogen and phosphor- us were 0.23 and 0.26, respectively, which were within the scope of environmental hearing capacity, with no threat to the environment. Under the premise of reasonable planing of livestock and poultry breeding and comprehensive utilization of manure, the environmental beating potential of livestock and poultry breed- ing in Nanjing City were 5. 667 3 million (nitrogen) and 11. 109 1 million (phosphorus) pigs equivalent, and there were nearly one third of bearing space more than the existing total breeding quantity.

文摘In order to reveal the immune antibody levels and immune effect of livestock and poultry in the locality,we performed antibody surveillance on severe animal diseases in 17 livestock and poultry fields in six administrative districts of Wuhan City. The results showed that the vaccines had a good protective efficacy on highly pathogenic avian influenza( HPAI) and Newcastle disease( ND) in Wuhan City. The whole antibody levels kept above the ministerial standard( 】 70%).However,the vaccine immunity of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome( PRRS),swine fever( SF) and foot and mouth disease( FMD) was still poorly protective. The data indicated that the vaccines are protecting the severe animal diseases well,but there are still some potential security holes in some administrative districts.

文摘China's animal husbandry industry has developed rapidly and the inventory of swine, poultry, and sheep has been in the first place in the world of late years. For several consecutive years, the annual slaughter swine has reached to more than 700 million head, 70 million head of carcasses, about 2 million tons. The number will be even more if cattle, sheep and poultry had been considered. If handled improperly, the large number of carcasses of livestock and poultry will seriously pollute environment and even bring food safety issues and harm to public health security. More and more concern has been attracted on harmless disposal of dead animals. Of all the harmless disposal methods on carcasses of livestock and poultry, the application and research of alkalizalion hydrolysisar ( AH ) are less and only restricted in the higher-level security laboratory field in China. The method of alkalization hydrolysis has the advantages of completely inactivating pathogenic microorganisms (including prions), no harmful gas, simple operation, low cost, etc, which has the value of research and application. This paper summarized the characteristics and the sterilization effect of alkaline hydrolysis, and discussed the processing and application of AH products of animal carcasses ,meanwhile, introduced the types, research and application state of AH in China, finally, briefly discussed the application prospect of AH in China.

But there were still some problems in the implementation of the policy, the technique of harmless treatment, livestock insurance and invcstigation and punishment of illegal behavior. Therefore, the following countermeasures were put forward: strengthen the responsibility system for harmless treatment of dead livestock and poultry; adjust harmless treatment mode to local conditions; build centralized treatment plant; punish illegal and criminal activities strictly; improve linkage policy of insurance and harmless treatment of livestock and poultry.

文摘[Objectives] The paper was to study the effects of probiotics on breeding environment of livestock and poultry and intestinal microorgan-isms of breeding animals. [Method] Chicken houses and hog houses were selected as the research objects. The breeding house supplemented with basal diet was used as the control group;the breeding house sprayed with probiotics product 1 was experimental group 1(exogenous treatment);the basal diet mixed with probiotics product 2 and drinking water mixed with product 3 was experimental group 2(endogenous treatment);and the com-bination of the two experimental groups was experimental group 3. [Results] Experimental groups 1 and 2 reduced the concentration of ammonia in hog houses and chicken houses, and the effect of experimental group 2 was better than that of experimental group 1. Experimental group 3 had the best effect, which significantly reduced the ammonia concentration in hog houses and chicken houses by 28.67% and 34.09%, respectively, and the average ammonia concentration outside the house within the range of 100-300 m was less than 2 mg/m^(3). Moreover, it significantly increased the number of intestinal lactobacillus and reduced the number of Escherichia coli. [Conclusions] Probiotics can effectively reduce the ammonia concentration in livestock and poultry breeding environment, and improve the intestinal microbial structure of breeding animals. The technology of spraying exogenous probiotics combined with the use of content-derived probiotics has great potential for popularization and application.
文摘[Objectives]A method for the detection of monensin in poultry and livestock meat by pre-column derivatization-high performance liquid chromatography was established.[Methods]The sample was extracted with chloroform,derivatized with trichloroacetic acid and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine,and centrifuged to obtain a purified solution.A C18 chromatographic column(4.6 mm×150 mm,5μm)was used for separation with(1.5%)acetic acid water∶methanol(volume ratio)=1∶9 as the mobile phase using a DAD detector for detection,and the external standard method was adopted for peak area quantification.[Results]Monensin had good linearity in the concentration range of 5.00-200 mg/L,with the linear correlation coefficient r 2>0.999;the detection limit was 5.00 mg/kg;the relative standard deviation was smaller than 10%;and the recoveries of standard addition experiment were in the range of 75%-110%.[Conclusions]The method has the advantages of simple pretreatment operation,good derivatization effect and fast detection speed,and is suitable for detecting monensin in poultry and livestock meat.

文摘Aiming at a series of hot issues and topics,such as resource waste,environmental pollution,and Mollisol protection,related to the arbitrary discharge of livestock and poultry feces,livestock and poultry feces are taken as the research object,a questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate residents’cognition and willingness to pay(WTP)for the nonmarket value of livestock and poultry feces returning to farmland in Heilongjiang Province,China.The contingent valuation method(CVM)was used for the correlation analysis of WTP and socioeconomic characteristics,and correlation analysis of payment mode and socioeconomic characteristics.Meanwhile,the factors influencing WTP and payment mode were analyzed.The results show that the majority of the respondents are aware of the harmfulness of the arbitrary discharge of livestock and poultry feces and the importance of its nonmarket regeneration value.Approximately 90.09% of respondents were willing to pay for the return of livestock and poultry feces to fields.In 2020,the total value of WTP of livestock and poultry feces returning to farmland in Heilongjiang Province was 4.65 billion CNY,equivalent to 1.32% of the total agricultural production of Heilongjiang Province in the same year.And the nonmarket value of livestock and poultry feces is estimated to be 1456.69 CNY/t.The annual average WTP of rural and urban households is 286.42 CNY and 422.90 CNY per household,accounting for 0.46% and 0.52% of the average annual income of households,respectively.Therefore,the return of livestock and poultry feces to farmland utilization has a high nonmarket value.The analysis shows that the average annual household income is a significant factor in WTP,and the registered permanent residence type and the average annual household income are significant factors in payment mode.The research results should provide a scientific and theoretical basis for the government’s policy and decision-making on the return of livestock and poultry feces to farmland.

文摘In consideration of the need to maintain planting-breeding balance, this article examines the capacity of the soil in Putian City, Fujian Province to absorb livestock and poultry excreta, and computes the environmental carrying capacity for livestock and poultry farming (ECCLPF) in each district of the city in terms of the fertility characteristics of the soil in the city, as well as its mix of crops cultivated and farming methods. On the basis of the computations, this work proceeds to classify the alarm grades of the city's environmental carrying capacity for livestock and poultry framing, and assess the environmental impact of the livestock and poultry farming industry. The results of our study indicate that, the city's ECCLPF ranges from 8.27 to 23.23 heads per ha when computed on the basis of nitrogen, and from 5.79 to 24.53 heads per ha when computed on the basis of phosphorus. A comparison between our research findings and the existing farming scale in Putian reveals that, in certain parts of the city, ECCLPF is overburdened to varying degrees. Specifically, Chengxiang District is severely overburdened, Hanjiang District and Meizhou Island have a level of overburdening between virtual overburdening and significant overburdening, Licheng District is virtually overburdened, and Xiuyu, Xianyou, and Bei'an Districts have not exceeded their environmental carrying capacity and therefore have varying levels of potential for growth.

文摘The widening gap between the supply and demand levels for livestock and poultry products in the Chinese mainland poses a significant challenge to the secure supply of feed grains. Therefore, the accurate prediction of the demand potential for feed grains represents a key scientific issue for ensuring food security in the Chinese mainland. This study is based on an analysis of several factors, such as the Chinese mainland’s output, trade volume, apparent consumption of livestock and poultry products, and two different scenarios for predicting the future demand for feed grains are assessed. The results indicate that output and consumption of livestock and poultry products, as well as the country’s trade deficit and the pressure of the supply and demand balance with respect to these products, have been increasing in recent years. The analysis predicts that the demand for feed grains in the Chinese mainland will reach 425.5 or 389.6 million tons in 2030 based on the two scenarios. This finding indicates that with the increasing demand for livestock and poultry products in the Chinese mainland, the demand for feed grains will continue to increase, and the shortfall in feed grains and raw materials will expand further, especially dependence on external sources of protein-rich feed grains will remain high.

文摘A liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method was established for the determination of ingredients of chicken,duck,pork,beef and mutton.A total of 19 characteristic peptides were screened out from 5 kinds of meat,and a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method was established for the determination of characteristic peptides.The accuracy of the method was tested by adding duck,pork and chicken with the mass fractions of 0.5%,1%and 5%to mutton,pork and chicken with the mass fractions of 0.5%,1%and 5%to beef,and duck with the mass fractions of 1%,2%and 10%to beef.The results show that the method has high accuracy and stability,and could be used to determine the content of 3 kinds of adulterated meat components in mutton and beef samples.
