In this study, an electrical parameter measurement system and high-speed schlieren technology were adopted to delve into the electrical, flow field, and excitation characteristics of the high-energy array surface arc plasma actuator under low ambient pressure. The high-energy array surface arc discharge released considerable heat rapidly;as a result, two characteristic structures were generated, i.e., the precursor shock wave and thermal deposition area. The duration increased with the increase in environmental pressure. The lower the pressure, the wider the thermal deposition area's influence range. The precursor shock wave exhibited a higher propagation speed at the initial phase of discharge;it tended to decay over time and finally remained at 340 m/s. The lower the environmental pressure, the higher the speed would be at the initial phase. High-energy array surface arc plasma actuator can be employed to achieve effective high-speed aircraft flow control.展开更多

文摘As a substitute for toxic cadmium coatings in the aerospace industry,zinc-nickel coatings have excellent application prospects, and their properties can be improved by adding molybdenum. In this study,laser-assisted electrodeposition is used to improve the surface quality and properties of Zn–Ni–Mo coatings, with investigation of how laser energy in the range of 0–21.1μJ affects their element content, surface morphology, crystal phase, microhardness, residual internal stress, and corrosion resistance. The laser irradiation accelerates the electrodeposition, refines the grain size, improves the hydrogen adsorption, and reduces the residual tensile stress, and a laser energy of 15.4μJ gives the highest Ni and Mo contents and the lowest Zn content,as well as the optimum surface morphology, microhardness, residual internal stress, and corrosion resistance of the coating.

文摘Lattice structures have drawn much attention in engineering applications due to their lightweight and multi-functional properties. In this work,a mathematical design approach for functionally graded(FG)and helicoidal lattice structures with triply periodic minimal surfaces is proposed.Four types of lattice structures including uniform, helicoidal,FG,and combined FG and helicoidal are fabricated by the additive manufacturing technology. The deformation behaviors, mechanical properties, energy absorption, and acoustic properties of lattice samples are thoroughly investigated. The load-bearing capability of helicoidal lattice samples is gradually improved in the plateau stage, leading to the plateau stress and total energy absorption improved by over 26.9%and 21.2%compared to the uniform sample, respectively. This phenomenon was attributed to the helicoidal design reduces the gap in unit cells and enhances fracture resistance. For acoustic properties, the design of helicoidal reduces the resonance frequency and improves the peak of absorption coefficient, while the FG design mainly influences the peak of absorption coefficient.Across broad range of frequency from 1000 to 6300 Hz,the maximum value of absorption coefficient is improved by18.6%-30%,and the number of points higher than 0.6 increased by 55.2%-61.7%by combining the FG and helicoidal designs. This study provides a novel strategy to simultaneously improve energy absorption and sound absorption properties by controlling the internal architecture of lattice structures.

文摘A kinetic model was proposed to predict the seawater fouling process in the seawater heat exchangers. The new model adopted an expression combining depositional and removal behaviors for seawater fouling based on the Kern–Seaton model. The present model parameters include the integrated kinetic rate of deposition(k d)and the integrated kinetic rate of removal(k r),which have clear physical signi ficance.A seawater-fouling monitoring device was established to validate the model. The experimental data were well fitted to the model, and the parameters were obtained in different conditions.SEM and EDX analyses were performed after the experiments, and the results show that the main components of seawater fouling are magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide. The effects of surface temperature, flow velocity and surface free energy were assessed by the model and the experimental data. The results indicate that the seawater fouling becomes aggravated as the surface temperature increased in a certain range, and the seawater fouling resistance reduced as the flow velocity of seawater increased.Furthermore, the effect of the surface free energy of metals was analyzed, showing that the lower surface free energy mitigates the seawater fouling accumulation.

文摘Multiphase flow in low permeability porous media is involved in numerous energy and environmental applications. However,a complete description of this process is challenging due to the limited modeling scale and the effects of complex pore structures and wettability. To address this issue, based on the digital rock of low permeability sandstone,a direct numerical simulation is performed considering the interphase drag and boundary slip to clarify the microscopic water-oil displacement process. In addition,a dual-porosity pore network model(PNM)is constructed to obtain the water-oil relative permeability of the sample. The displacement efficiency as a recovery process is assessed under different wetting and pore structure properties. Results show that microscopic displacement mechanisms explain the corresponding macroscopic relative permeability. The injected water breaks through the outlet earlier with a large mass flow, while thick oil films exist in rough hydrophobic surfaces and poorly connected pores. The variation of water-oil relative permeability is significant, and residual oil saturation is high in the oil-wet system. The flooding is extensive, and the residual oil is trapped in complex pore networks for hydrophilic pore surfaces;thus, water relative permeability is lower in the water-wet system. While the displacement efficiency is the worst in mixed-wetting systems for poor water connectivity.Microporosity negatively correlates with invading oil volume fraction due to strong capillary resistance, and a large microporosity corresponds to low residual oil saturation. This work provides insights into the water-oil flow from different modeling perspectives and helps to optimize the development plan for enhanced recovery.

文摘The utilization of mobile edge computing(MEC)for unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)communication presents a viable solution for achieving high reliability and low latency communication. This study explores the potential of employing intelligent reflective surfaces(IRS)andUAVs as relay nodes to efficiently offload user computing tasks to theMEC server system model.Specifically, the user node accesses the primary user spectrum, while adhering to the constraint of satisfying the primary user peak interference power.Furthermore, the UAV acquires energy without interrupting the primary user’s regular communication by employing two energy harvesting schemes, namely time switching(TS)and power splitting(PS).The selection of the optimal UAV is based on the maximization of the instantaneous signal-to-noise ratio.Subsequently, the analytical expression for the outage probability of the system in Rayleigh channels is derived and analyzed. The study investigates the impact of various system parameters, including the number of UAVs,peak interference power,TS,and PS factors,on the system’s outage performance through simulation. The proposed system is also compared to two conventional benchmark schemes:the optimal UAV link transmission and the IRS link transmission. The simulation results validate the theoretical derivation and demonstrate the superiority of the proposed scheme over the benchmark schemes.

文摘In recent years, switched inductor(SL)technology, switched capacitor(SC)technology, and switched inductor-capacitor(SL-SC)technology have been widely applied to optimize and improve DC-DC boost converters, which can effectively enhance voltage gain and reduce device stress. To address the issue of low output voltage in current renewable energy power generation systems, this study proposes a novel non-isolated cubic high-gain DC-DC converter based on the traditional quadratic DC-DC boost converter by incorporating a SC and a SL-SC unit.Firstly, the proposed converter’s details are elaborated, including its topology structure, operating mode, voltage gain, device stress, and power loss.Subsequently,a comparative analysis is conducted on the voltage gain and device stress between the proposed converter and other high-gain converters. Then,a closed-loop simulation system is constructed to obtain simulation waveforms of various devices and explore the dynamic performance. Finally,an experimental prototype is built, experimental waveforms are obtained, and the experimental dynamic performance and conversion efficiency are analyzed. The theoretical analysis’s correctness is verified through simulation and experimental results. The proposed converter has advantages such as high voltage gain, low device stress, high conversion efficiency, simple control, and wide input voltage range, achieving a good balance between voltage gain, device stress, and power loss. The proposed converter is well-suited for renewable energy systems and holds theoretical significance and practical value in renewable energy applications. It provides an effective solution to the issue of low output voltage in renewable energy power generation systems.

文摘In this paper,we investigate the energy efficiency maximization for mobile edge computing(MEC)in intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)assisted unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)communications. In particular,UAVcan collect the computing tasks of the terrestrial users and transmit the results back to them after computing. We jointly optimize the users’transmitted beamforming and uploading ratios, the phase shift matrix of IRS,and the UAV trajectory to improve the energy efficiency. The formulated optimization problem is highly non-convex and difficult to be solved directly. Therefore,we decompose the original problem into three sub-problems.We first propose the successive convex approximation(SCA)based method to design the beamforming of the users and the phase shift matrix of IRS,and apply the Lagrange dual method to obtain a closed-form expression of the uploading ratios. For the trajectory optimization,we propose a block coordinate descent(BCD)based method to obtain a local optimal solution. Finally,we propose the alternating optimization(AO)based overall algorithmand analyzed its complexity to be equivalent or lower than existing algorithms.Simulation results show the superiority of the proposedmethod compared with existing schemes in energy efficiency.
文摘In order to solve the problem of single arc plasma actuator's failure to suppress the boundary layer separation, the effectiveness of the array surface arc plasma actuator to enhance the excitation intensity is verified by experiment. High-energy array surface arc plasma actuator can be employed to achieve effective high-speed aircraft flow control.
文摘Wireless sensor networks(WSN)gather information and sense information samples in a certain region and communicate these readings to a base station(BS).Energy efficiency is considered a major design issue in the WSNs,and can be addressed using clustering and routing techniques.Information is sent from the source to the BS via routing procedures. However, these routing protocols must ensure that packets are delivered securely, guaranteeing that neither adversaries nor unauthentic individuals have access to the sent information.Secure data transfer is intended to protect the data from illegal access, damage,or disruption. Thus,in the proposed model, secure data transmission is developed in an energy-effective manner.A low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy(LEACH)is developed to efficiently transfer the data. For the intrusion detection systems(IDS),Fuzzy logic and artificial neural networks(ANNs)are proposed.Initially, the nodes were randomly placed in the network and initialized to gather information. To ensure fair energy dissipation between the nodes,LEACH randomly chooses cluster heads(CHs)and allocates this role to the various nodes based on a round-robin management mechanism. The intrusion-detection procedure was then utilized to determine whether intruders were present in the network.Within the WSN,a Fuzzy interference rule was utilized to distinguish the malicious nodes from legal nodes.Subsequently,an ANN was employed to distinguish the harmful nodes from suspicious nodes. The effectiveness of the proposed approach was validated using metrics that attained 97%accuracy,97%specificity,and 97%sensitivity of 95%.Thus,it was proved that the LEACH and Fuzzy-based IDS approaches are the best choices for securing data transmission in an energy-efficient manner.
文摘Evidence is obtained from the data of an earlier measurement that the effect of ion-surface interaction on the stopping power of highly charged slow ions is not at all tiny rather remarkably large, even it supersedes the bulk stopping power. The stopping power due to the surface interactions is directly proportional to the charge state of incident ions.

文摘The inner surface modification process by plasma-based low-energy ion implantation(PBLEII)with an electron cyclotron resonance(ECR)microwave plasma source located at the central axis of a cylindrical tube is modeled to optimize the low-energy ion implantation parameters for industrial applications. In this paper,a magnetized plasma diffusion fluid model has been established to describe the plasma nonuniformity caused by plasma diffusion under an axial magnetic field during the pulse-off time of low pulsed negative bias.Using this plasma density distribution as the initial condition,a sheath collisional fluid model is built up to describe the sheath evolution and ion implantation during the pulse-on time. The plasma nonuniformity at the end of the pulse-off time is more apparent along the radial direction compared with that in the axial direction due to the geometry of the linear plasma source in the center and the difference between perpendicular and parallel plasma diffusion coefficients with respect to the magnetic field. The normalized nitrogen plasma densities on the inner and outer surfaces of the tube are observed to be about 0.39 and 0.24,respectively,of which the value is 1 at the central plasma source. After a 5μs pulse-on time,in the area less than 2 cm from the end of the tube, the nitrogen ion implantation energy decreases from 1.5 keV to 1.3 keV and the ion implantation angle increases from several degrees to more than 40°;both variations reduce the nitrogen ion implantation depth. However, the nitrogen ion implantation dose peaks of about 2×10^(10)-7×10^(10)ions/cm^2 in this area are 2-4 times higher than that of 1.18×10^(10)ions/cm^2 and 1.63×10^(10)ions/cm^2 on the inner and outer surfaces of the tube. The sufficient ion implantation dose ensures an acceptable modification effect near the end of the tube under the low energy and large angle conditions for nitrogen ion implantation, because the modification effect is mainly determined by the ion implantation dose, just as the mass transfer process in PBLEII is dominated by low-energy ion implantation and thermal diffusion. Therefore,a comparatively uniform surface modification by the low-energy nitrogen ion implantation is achieved along the cylindrical tube on both the inner and outer surfaces.
