Decoding the inconsistency of six cropland maps in China

Accurate cropland information is critical for agricultural planning and production,especially in foodstressed countries like China.Although widely used medium-to-high-resolution satellite-based cropland maps have been developed from various remotely sensed data sources over the past few decades,considerable discrepancies exist among these products both in total area and in spatial distribution of croplands,impeding further applications of these datasets.The factors influencing their inconsistency are also unknown.In this study,we evaluated the consistency and accuracy of six cropland maps widely used in China in circa 2020,including three state-of-the-art 10-m products(i.e.,Google Dynamic World,ESRI Land Cover,and ESA WorldCover)and three 30-m ones(i.e.,GLC_FCS30,GlobeLand 30,and CLCD).We also investigated the effects of landscape fragmentation,climate,and agricultural management.Validation using a ground-truth sample revealed that the 10-m-resolution WorldCover provided the highest accuracy(92.3%).These maps collectively overestimated Chinese cropland area by up to 56%.Up to 37%of the land showed spatial inconsistency among the maps,concentrated mainly in mountainous regions and attributed to the varying accuracy of cropland maps,cropland fragmentation and management practices such as irrigation.Our work shed light on the promotion of future cropland mapping efforts,especially in highly inconsistent regions. 展开更多

Internet of Things(IoT)applications can be found in various industry areas,including critical infrastructure and healthcare,and IoT is one of several technological developments.As a result,tens of billions or possibly hundreds of billions of devices will be linked together.These smart devices will be able to gather data,process it,and even come to decisions on their own.Security is the most essential thing in these situations.In IoT infrastructure,authenticated key exchange systems are crucial for preserving client and data privacy and guaranteeing the security of data-in-transit(e.g.,via client identification and provision of secure communication).It is still challenging to create secure,authenticated key exchange techniques.The majority of the early authenticated key agreement procedure depended on computationally expensive and resource-intensive pairing,hashing,or modular exponentiation processes.The focus of this paper is to propose an efficient three-party authenticated key exchange procedure(AKEP)using Chebyshev chaotic maps with client anonymity that solves all the problems mentioned above.The proposed three-party AKEP is protected from several attacks.The proposed three-party AKEP can be used in practice for mobile communications and pervasive computing applications,according to statistical experiments and low processing costs.To protect client identification when transferring data over an insecure public network,our three-party AKEP may also offer client anonymity.Finally,the presented procedure offers better security features than the procedures currently available in the literature. 展开更多

Lidar and visual data are affected heavily in adverse weather conditions due to sensing mechanisms,which bring potential safety hazards for vehicle navigation.Radar sensing is desirable to build a more robust navigation system.In this paper,a cross-modality radar localisation on prior lidar maps is presented.Specifically,the proposed workflow consists of two parts:first,bird's-eye-view radar images are transferred to fake lidar images by training a generative adversarial network offline.Then with online radar scans,a Monte Carlo localisation framework is built to track the robot pose on lidar maps.The whole online localisation system only needs a rotating radar sensor and a pre-built global lidar map.In the experimental section,the authors conduct an ablation study on image settings and test the proposed system on Oxford Radar Robot Car Dataset.The promising results show that the proposed localisation system could track the robot pose successfully,thus demonstrating the feasibility of radar style transfer for metric robot localisation on lidar maps. 展开更多

This paper proposes a Delivery Service Management(DSM)system for Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs)that own a delivery fleet of pickup trucks to manage Business-to-Business(B2B)delivery services.The proposed DSM system integrates four systems:Delivery Location Positioning(DLP),Delivery Route Planning(DRP),Arrival Time Prediction(ATP),and Communication and Data Sharing(CDS)systems.These systems are used to pinpoint the delivery locations of customers,plan the delivery route of each truck,predict arrival time(with an interval)at each delivery location,and communicate and share information among stakeholders,respectively.The DSM system deploys Google applications,a GPS tracking system,Google Map APIs,ATP algorithms(embedded in Excel Macros),Line,and Telegram as supporting tools.To improve the accuracy of the ATP system,three tech-niques are applied considering driver behaviors.The proposed DSM system has been implemented in a Thai SME.From the process perspective,the DSM system is a systematic procedure for end-to-end delivery services.It allows the interactions between planner-driver decisions and supporting tools.The supporting tools are simple,can be easily used with little training,and require low capital expenditure.The statistical analysis shows that the ATP algorithm with the three techniques provides high accuracy.Thus,the proposed DSM system is beneficial for practitioners to manage delivery services,especially for SMEs in emerging countries. 展开更多

Accurate soil prediction is a vital parameter involved to decide appro-priate crop,which is commonly carried out by the farmers.Designing an auto-mated soil prediction tool helps to considerably improve the efficacy of the farmers.At the same time,fuzzy logic(FL)approaches can be used for the design of predictive models,particularly,Fuzzy Cognitive Maps(FCMs)have involved the concept of uncertainty representation and cognitive mapping.In other words,the FCM is an integration of the recurrent neural network(RNN)and FL involved in the knowledge engineering phase.In this aspect,this paper introduces effective fuzzy cognitive maps with cat swarm optimization for automated soil classifica-tion(FCMCSO-ASC)technique.The goal of the FCMCSO-ASC technique is to identify and categorize seven different types of soil.To accomplish this,the FCMCSO-ASC technique incorporates local diagonal extrema pattern(LDEP)as a feature extractor for producing a collection of feature vectors.In addition,the FCMCSO model is applied for soil classification and the weight values of the FCM model are optimally adjusted by the use of CSO algorithm.For exam-ining the enhanced soil classification outcomes of the FCMCSO-ASC technique,a series of simulations were carried out on benchmark dataset and the experimen-tal outcomes reported the enhanced performance of the FCMCSO-ASC technique over the recent techniques with maximum accuracy of 96.84%. 展开更多

On the Development of Spatial/Temporal Solar UV Irradiation Maps: A Case Study in Pernambuco State (Northeast of Brazil)

This work summarizes recently published information on the solar UV broadband irradiation of Pernambuco, Northeast of Brazil. We describe the spatial and temporal distribution of solar UV radiation and its relationship with climatic and geographical conditions. Statistical experimental correlation between solar total irradiation and UV broadband obtained for 03 locations was generalized by the use of Koppen-Geiger Climatic criterium, which was used for mapping the spatial/temporal distribution of broadband UV. The climatological solar radiations used in the correlations were obtained by modeling through satellite and previously verified with terrestrial data. We present one map with the location of the recording stations where the statistical correlations were measured, one annual and 12 monthly contour maps describing monthly daily solar UV radiation levels throughout the territory of Pernambuco. The solar UV irradiation (“broadband”) annual-average daily value in the State of Pernambuco varied from 226 to 268 Wh/m<sup>2</sup>. Seasonal variation of solar UV irradiation in the State of Pernambuco follows, in general and as expected, the climate, relief and seasons of the year. The highest value of monthly solar UV irradiation was observed in the central south region of the state, more precisely in Belém do São Francisco, Floresta, Ibimirim and Buíque in the month of December (summer), with 311.8 Wh/m<sup>2</sup>. The lower value was found in the south Agreste region, in Garanhuns and Caruaru, in the month of June (winter), with 162.2 Wh/m<sup>2</sup>. 展开更多

目的观察T1 mapping与R2^(*)maps联合诊断慢性肾病(CKD)的价值。方法纳入27例CKD患者,根据改善全球肾脏病预后组织CKD分期标准将其分为A组(轻度肾损害,n=16)和B组(中重度肾损害,n=11),另纳入20名健康成年人作为对照组(C组);观察其肾脏T... 目的观察T1 mapping与R2^(*)maps联合诊断慢性肾病(CKD)的价值。方法纳入27例CKD患者,根据改善全球肾脏病预后组织CKD分期标准将其分为A组(轻度肾损害,n=16)和B组(中重度肾损害,n=11),另纳入20名健康成年人作为对照组(C组);观察其肾脏T2WI、T1 mapping及R2^(*)maps,比较3组间整体及两两间右肾皮、髓质T1值和R2^(*)值差异,行logistic回归分析,评估右肾皮髓质T1值、R2^(*)值和二者联合诊断CKD的效能。结果3组间右肾皮质T1值及R2^(*)值整体差异均有统计学意义(P均<0.05),而髓质T1值及R2^(*)值差异均无统计学意义(P均>0.05);B组皮质T1值显著高于A组和C组(P均<0.05),A组皮质R2^(*)值显著高于B组和C组(P均<0.05)。以右肾皮质T1值鉴别CKD轻度与中重度肾损害的曲线下面积(AUC)为0.77,鉴别CKD中重度肾损害与健康人的AUC为0.90;皮质R2^(*)值鉴别CKD轻度与中重度肾损害的AUC为0.94,鉴别CKD轻度肾损害与健康人的AUC为0.88;皮质T1值与R2^(*)值联合鉴别轻度CKD肾损害与中重度肾损害的AUC为0.97,与右肾皮质T1值的AUC差异有统计学意义(Z=2.14,P=0.033)。结论T1 mapping与R2^(*)maps联合有助于诊断CKD。 展开更多

Owing to the limitation of a large genome size(~13 Gb),the genetic and gene mapping studies on faba bean(Vicia faba L.)are lagging far behind those for other legumes.In this study,we selected three purified faba bean lines(Yundou 8137,H0003712,and H000572)as parents and constructed two F2 populations.These two F2 populations,namely 167 F2 plants in Pop1(Yundou 8137×H0003712)and 204 F2 plants in Pop2(H000572×Yundou 8137),were genotyped using a targeted next-generation sequencing(TNGS)genotyping platform,and two high-density single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP)genetic linkage maps of faba bean were constructed.The map constructed from Pop1 contained 5103 SNPs with a length of 1333.31 cM and an average marker density of 0.26 cM.The map constructed from Pop2 contained 1904 SNPs with a greater length of 1610.61 cM.In these two F2 populations,QTL mapping identified 98 QTLs for 14 agronomic traits related to the flowers,pods,plant types and grains.The two maps were then merged into an integrated genetic linkage map containing 6895 SNPs,with a length of 3324.48 cM.These results not only lay the foundation for fine mapping and map-based cloning of related genes,but can also accelerate the molecular marker-assisted breeding of faba bean. 展开更多

Coupled phase oscillators are adopted as powerful platforms in studying synchrony behaviors emerged in various systems with rhythmic dynamics. Much attention has been focused on coupled time-continuous oscillators described by differential equations. In this paper, we study the synchronization dynamics of networks of coupled circle maps as the discrete version of the Kuramoto model. Despite of its simplicity in mathematical form, it is found that discreteness may induce many interesting synchronization behaviors. Multiple synchronization and desynchronization transitions of both phases and frequencies are found with varying the coupling among circle-map oscillators. The mechanisms of these transitions are interpreted in terms of the mean-field approach, where collective bifurcation cascades are revealed for coupled circle-map oscillators. 展开更多

The present article has mainly focused on some one-dimensional real maps’ dynamical behavior irrespective of using coding. In continuation, linear, quadratic, cubic, higher-order, exponential, logarithmic, and absolute value maps have been used to scrutinize their dynamical behavior, including the characteristics of the orbit of points. Dynamical programming software (DPS.exe) will be proposed as a new technique to ascertain the dynamical behavior of said maps. Thus, a mathematician can automatically determine one-dimensional real maps’ dynamical behavior apart from complicated programming code and analytical solutions. 展开更多

目的 :获得 1A6 /DRIM的N端特异性抗体并对其在细胞内的定位进行分析。方法 :针对 1A6 /DRIM的N端多肽用多通道同步固相全自动合成系统合成 ,以无免疫原性的赖氨酸结构为核心偶联 ,将此多聚抗原肽 (mutipleantigenicpeptides,MAPs)免疫... 目的 :获得 1A6 /DRIM的N端特异性抗体并对其在细胞内的定位进行分析。方法 :针对 1A6 /DRIM的N端多肽用多通道同步固相全自动合成系统合成 ,以无免疫原性的赖氨酸结构为核心偶联 ,将此多聚抗原肽 (mutipleantigenicpeptides,MAPs)免疫新西兰大白兔 ,从免疫兔血清中获得 1A6 /DRIM的多克隆抗体。结果 :用WesternBlot技术证明了 1A6 /DRIM的N端抗体 ,与C端特异性单克隆抗体识别相同的 1A6 /DRIM基因表达的 31 0 0 0 0蛋白条带 ,经过WesternBlot和免疫荧光的方法初步证实 1A6 /DRIM在多种胃癌细胞系、乳腺癌细胞系以及肝癌细胞系中表达 ,免疫荧光显示 1A6 /DRIM主要定位在细胞核内。结论 :对于用谷胱苷肽巯基转移酶 (Glutathion S transferase ,GST)融合蛋白方法不能诱导表达的蛋白 ,可利用合成MAPs制备抗原的方法获得抗体。本研究用此方法制备的抗体特异性识别 1A6 展开更多
