The nano-structured NiO powder obtained by sol-gel method was doped with 10 wt% gold in order to modify its morphology as well as its electrochemical catalytic activity.The NO_x sensing characteristics of mixed-potential-type YSZ-based planar sensors attached with each of the nano-NiO and the Au-doped nano-NiO materials as a sensing electrode SE) were examined at temperatures of 700℃~800℃.The Au-doped NiO-SE was found to give a large enhancement in the NO_2 sensitivity as well as the NO_2 selectivity at 800℃under wet condition,in comparison with the pure NiO-SE.The reason for the improvement in the NO_2 sensitivity was examined based on the data of polarization curves,impedance spectra and catalytic activity for the gas-phase NO_2 decomposition. 展开更多

Galvanic corrosion behavior of AZ91D alloy/45 steel couple in 3.5 wt.%NaCl solution under 0,0.2 and 0.4 T magnetic field were studied by microstructure observation,immersion test and electrochemical measurement.The mixed potential theory was used to estimate the galvanic current density and the mixed potential of the galvanic corrosion between AZ91D alloy and 45 steel.The results indicated that magnetic field could accelerate the corrosion of AZ91D alloy,and impede the corrosion process of 45 steel.The effect of magnetic field on corrosion sensibility and corrosion rate of these two alloys increased as the intensity rising.The galvanic corrosion rate of the couple was accelerated by magnetic field.With the magnetic field intensity rising,the galvanic corrosion sensibility and corrosion rate of the couple increased.The effects of magnetic field on the galvanic corrosion performance of the couple and the corrosion behavior of AZ91D alloy and 45 steel were due to the appearance of field gradient force and magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)force.The mixed potential theory has a certain accuracy to estimate the Ecouple and icouple values in this work. 展开更多

This work focuses on the H2 sensing performance of the sensor with buried Au sensing electrode and spi- nel-type oxide CoCrMnO4 insensitive reference electrode within sodium super ionic conductor(NASICON) film. The sensor showed the highest response to H2 gas on the insensitive material sintering at 800 ~C. Compared with those of the traditional structure device, the sensitivity and selectivity of the sensor using buried sensing electrode were greatly improved, giving a response of-177 mV in 9x10 5 g/L H2, which was about 3.5 times higher than that of sensors with traditional structure. Moreover, the AV value of the sensing device exhibited linear relationship to the logarithm of H2 concentration and the sensitivity(slope) was -135 mV/decade. A sensing mechanism related to the mixed potential was proposed for the present sensor. 展开更多

Efficient approach and application of the Green's functions in spatial domain in multilayered media

Based on the dipole source method, all components of the Green's functions in spectral domain are restructured concisely by four basis functions, and in terms of the two-level discrete complex image method (DCIM) with the high order Sommerfeld identities, an efficient algorithm for closed-form Green's functions in spatial domain in multilayered media is presented. This new work enjoys the advantages of the surface wave pole extraction directly carried out by the generalized integral path without troubles of that all components of Green's function in spectral domain should be reformed respectively in transmission line network analogy, and then the Green's functions for mixed-potential integral equation (MPIE) analysis in both near-field and far-field in multilayered media are obtained. In addition, the curl operator for coupled field in MPIE is avoided conveniently. It is especially applicable and useful to characterize the electromagnetic scattering by, and radiation in the presence of, the electrically large 3-D objects in multilayered media. The numerical results of the S-parameters of a microstrip periodic bandgap (PBG) filter, the radar cross section (RCS) of a large microstrip antenna array, the characteristics of scattering, and radiation from the three-dimensional (3-D) targets in multilayered media are obtained, to demonstrate better effectiveness and accuracy of this technique. 展开更多
