Also, the Nilsson model is designed for the calculations of the single-particle energy levels, the magnetic dipole moments, and the electric quadrupole moments of axially symmetric deformed nuclei by assuming that all the nucleons are moving in the field of an anisotropic oscillator potential. On the other hand, the nuclear superfluidity model is designed for the calculations of the nuclear moments of inertia and the electric quadrupole moments of deformed nuclei which have no axes of symmetry by assuming that the nucleons are moving in a quadruple deformed potential. Furthermore, the cranked Nilsson model is designed for the calculations of the total nuclear energy and the quadrupole moments of deformed nuclei which have no axes of symmetry by modifying the Nilsson potential to include second and fourth order oscillations. Accordingly, to investigate whether the six p-shell isotopes 6Li, 7Li, 8Li, 9Li, 10Li, and 11Li have axes of symmetry or not, we applied the four mentioned models to each nucleus by calculating their moments of inertia, their magnetic dipole moments, and their electric quadrupole moments by varying the deformation parameter β and the non-axiality parameter γ in wide ranges of values for this reason. Hence for the assumption that these isotopes are deformed and have axes of symmetry, we applied the single-particle Schrödinger fluid model and the Nilsson model. On the other hand, for the assumption that these isotopes are deformed and have no axes of symmetry, we applied the cranked Nilsson model and the nuclear super fluidity model. As a result of our calculations, we can conclude that the nucleus 6Li may be assumed to be deformed and has an axis of symmetry.展开更多

However, the huge computational complexity makes it impractical for real applications. Thus, a fast non-local means algorithm based on Krawtchouk moments is proposed to improve the denoising performance and reduce the computing time. Krawtchouk moments of each image patch are calculated and used in the subsequent similarity measure in order to perform a weighted averaging. Instead of computing the Euclidean distance of two image patches, the similarity measure is obtained by low-order Krawtchouk moments, which can reduce a lot of computational complexity. Since Krawtchouk moments can extract local features and have a good antinoise ability, they can classify the useful information out of noise and provide an accurate similarity measure. Detailed experiments demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the original NLM method and other moment-based methods according to a comprehensive consideration on subjective visual quality, method noise, peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR), structural similarity(SSIM) index and computing time. Most importantly, the proposed method is around 35 times faster than the original NLM method.展开更多

These systems avoid the use color marks, or gloves, using instead, low-pass and high-pass filters in space and frequency domains, and color space transformations. First system used rotational signatures based on a correlation operator;minimum distance was used for the classification task. Second system computed the seven Hu invariants from binary images;these descriptors fed to a Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) in order to recognize the 9 different classes. First system achieves 100% of recognition rate with leaving-one-out validation and second experiment performs 96.7% of recognition rate with Hu moments and 100% using 36 normalized moments and k-fold cross validation.展开更多

A combination of edge blurring with ZMs computation was introduced. In this study, several kinds of artificial binary stripe images were used to investigate the effects of edge blurring on the absolute mean error of reconstructed image from high-order ZMs. After the blurring process, the reconstruction errors were increased dramatically at edge pixels, but decreased on non-edge pixels. The experimental results demonstrated that 2-pixel blurring approach provided better performance for reducing reconstruction error. Finally, a template matching between two real images was simulated to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.展开更多

METHODS: Postural analysis has been recently improved by development of three-dimensional radiographic imaging systems. However, in various situations such as global sagittal anterior malalignment interpretation of radiographs may not represent the real alignment of the subject. The aim of this study was to present initial results of a 3D biomechanical protocol. This protocol isobtained in a free standing position and characterizes postural balance by measurement of sagittal intersegmental net moments. After elaboration of a specific marker-set, 4 successive recordings were done on two volunteers by three different operators during three sessions in order to evaluate the experimental error measurement. A supplementary acquisition in a "radiographic" posture was also obtained. Once the data acquired, joint center, length, anatomical frame and the center of mass of each body segment was calculated and a mass affected. Sagittal net intersegmental moments were computed in an ascending manner from ground reaction forces at the ankles, knees, hips and the lumbosacral and thoraco-lumbar spinal junctions. Cervicothoracic net intersegmental moment was calculated in a descending manner.RESULTS: Based on average recordings, clinical interpretation of net intersegmental moments(in N.m) showed a dorsal flexion on the ankles(8.6 N.m), a flexion on the knees(7.5 N.m) and an extension on the hips(8.5 N.m). On the spinal junctions, it was flexion moments: 0.34 N.m on the cervico-thoracic; 6.7 N.m on the thoraco-lumbar and 0.65 N.m on the lumbo-sacral. Evaluation of experimental error measurement showed a small inter-trial error(intrinsic variability), with higher inter-session and inter-therapist errors but without important variation between them. For one volunteer the "radiographic" posture was associated to significant changes compared to the free standing position. CONCLUSION: These initial results confirm the technical feasibility of the protocol. The low intrinsic error and the small differences between inter-session and intertherapist errors seem to traduce postural variability over time, more than a failure of the protocol. Characterization of sagittal intersegmental net moments can have clinical applications such as evaluation of an unfused segment after a spinal arthrodesis.展开更多

文摘Analyzing comovements and connectedness is critical for providing significant implications for crypto-portfolio risk management. However, most existing research focuses on the lower-order moment nexus(i.e.the return and volatility interactions). For the first time, this study investigates the higher-order moment comovements and risk connectedness among cryptocurrencies before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in both the time and frequency domains. We combine the realized moment measures and wavelet coherence, and the newly proposed time-varying parameter vector autoregression-based frequency connectedness approach(Chatziantoniou et al.in Integration and risk transmission in the market for crude oil a time-varying parameter frequency connectedness approach.Technical report,University of Pretoria,Department of Economics,2021)using intraday high-frequency data. The empirical results demonstrate that the comovement of realized volatility between BTC and other cryp-tocurrencies is stronger than that of the realized skewness, realized kurtosis, and signed jump variation. The comovements among cryptocurrencies are both time-dependent and frequency-dependent.Besides the volatility spillovers, the risk spillovers of high-order moments and jumps are also significant, although their magnitudes vary with moments, making them moment-dependent as well and are lower than volatility connectedness.Frequency connectedness demonstrates that the risk connectedness is mainly transmitted in the short term(1–7 days).Furthermore, the total dynamic connectedness of all realized moments is time-varying and has been significantly affected by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.Several practical implications are drawn for crypto investors, portfolio managers, regulators, and policymakers in optimizing their investment and risk management tactics.

文摘Recognizing various traffic signs, especially the popular circular traffic signs,is an essential task for implementing advanced driver assistance system. To recognize circular traffic signs with high accuracy and robustness,a novel approach which uses the so-called improved constrained binary fast radial symmetry(ICBFRS) detector and pseudo-zernike moments based support vector machine(PZM-SVM) classifier is proposed. In the detection stage, the scene image containing the traffic signs will be converted into Lab color space for color segmentation. Then the ICBFRS detector can efficiently capture the position and scale of sign candidates within the scene by detecting the centers of circles. In the classification stage, once the candidates are cropped out of the image,pseudo-zernike moments are adopted to represent the features of extracted pictogram, which are then fed into a support vector machine to classify different traffic signs.Experimental results under different lighting conditions indicate that the proposed method has robust detection effect and high classification accuracy.
文摘This paper presents two systems for recognizing static signs (digits) from American Sign Language (ASL). First system achieves 100% of recognition rate with leaving-one-out validation and second experiment performs 96.7% of recognition rate with Hu moments and 100% using 36 normalized moments and k-fold cross validation.
文摘Zernike moments (ZMs) are a set of orthogonal moments which have been successfully used in the fields of image processing and pattern recognition. Finally, a template matching between two real images was simulated to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

文摘In this paper,we first derive two types of transformed Franklin polynomial:substituted and weighted radial Franklin polynomials. Two radial orthogonal moments are proposed based on these two types of polynomials, namely substituted Franklin-Fourier moments and weighted Franklin-Fourier moments(SFFMs and WFFMs),which are orthogonal in polar coordinates. The radial kernel functions of SFFMs and WFFMs are transformed Franklin functions and Franklin functions are composed of a class of complete orthogonal splines function system of degree one. Therefore,it provides the possibility of avoiding calculating high order polynomials, and thus the accurate values of SFFMs and WFFMs can be obtained directly with little computational cost.Theoretical and experimental results show that Franklin functions are not well suited for constructing higher-order moments of SFFMs and WFFMs,but compared with traditional orthogonal moments(e.g.,BFMs,OFMs and ZMs)in polar coordinates, the proposed two types of Franklin-Fourier Moments have better performance respectively in lower-order moments.
文摘The variation in moments of inertia (J(1) and J(2)) with rotational frequency for the superdeformed bandsin odd-odd nuclei, 194Tl(la,lb), is investigated by using the particle-number conserving method for treating the pairinginteraction (monopole and quadrupole). The observed variations of J(1) and J(2) with ω are reproduced quite well inthe calculation and the contributions from each major shell are clearly displayed.
文摘Higher electric multipole moments for the ground-state electronic configuration of some polyatomicmolecules, i.e. CH4, NH3, H2O, were calculated from SCF-HFR wavefunctions using Slater-type orbital basis sets. The calculated results for electric multipole moments of these molecules are in good agreement with the theoretical andexperimental ones.
文摘This paper studies a short fiction of Virginia Woolf The Mark on the Wall.Woolf held the literary theory "moments of being" and believed that the moments ordinary enough in itself had an extraordinary effect on people's imagination.Based on many diaries, essays and fictions of Woolf, and the related literature review, this paper analyzes the "moments of being" represented in The Mark on the Wall. It's is found that the moments of being are truth of being, both the external word and inner world.Woolf catches her mind sparks, seeks the truth and free thinking in each moment during her life.

文摘Phosphoaspartate is one of the major components of eukaryotes and prokaryotic two-component signaling pathways, and it communicates the signal from the sensor of histidine kinase, through the response regulator,to the DNA alongside transcription features and initiates the transcription of correct response genes. Thus, the prediction of phosphoaspartate sites is critical, and its experimental identification can be expensive,time-consuming,and tedious. For this purpose,we propose iPhosD-PseAAC,a new computational model for predicting phosphoaspartate sites in a particular protein sequence using Chou’s 5-steps rues:(1)Benchmark dataset.(2)The feature extraction techniques such as pseudo amino acid composition(PseAAC),statistical moments, and position relative features.(3)For the classification, artificial neural network AAN will be used.(4)In this step,10-fold cross-validation and self-consistency testing will be used for validation. For self-consistency testing,100%Acc is achieved, whereas, for 10-fold crossvalidation 95.14%Acc,95.58%Sn,94.70%Sp and 0.95 MCC are observed.(5).The final step is the development of a user-friendly web server for the ease of users. Thus, the iPhosD-PseAAC is the first and novel predictor for accurate and efficient identification of phosphoaspartate sites.

文摘AIM: To describe initial results and experimental error measurement of a protocol analyzing Human posture through sagittal intersegmental moments. Characterization of sagittal intersegmental net moments can have clinical applications such as evaluation of an unfused segment after a spinal arthrodesis.

文摘Moments of generalized order statistics appear in several areas of science and engineering. These moments are useful in studying properties of the random variables which are arranged in increasing order of importance, for example, time to failure of a computer system. The computation of these moments is sometimes very tedious and hence some algorithms are required. One algorithm is to use a recursive method of computation of these moments and is very useful as it provides the basis to compute higher moments of generalized order statistics from the corresponding lower-order moments.Generalized order statistics pro-vides several models of ordered data as a special case. The moments of general-ized order statistics also provide moments of order statistics and record values as a special case.In this research, the recurrence relations for single, product, inverse and ratio moments of generalized order statistics will be obtained for Lindley–Weibull distribution. These relations will be helpful for obtained moments of gen-eralized order statistics from Lindley–Weibull distribution recursively.Special cases of the recurrence relations will also be obtained. Some characterizations of the distribution will also be obtained by using moments of generalized order statistics. These relations for moments and characterizations can be used in differ-ent areas of computer sciences where data is arranged in increasing order.
