However, most of them tend to converge into local areas due to the loss of diversity. Evolutionary multitasking(EMT) is new model of solving complex optimization problems, through the knowledge transfer between the source task and other related tasks. Inspired by EMT, this paper develops a new EMT-based CMOEA to solve CMOPs, in which the main task, a global auxiliary task, and a local auxiliary task are created and optimized by one specific population respectively. The main task focuses on finding the feasible Pareto front(PF), and global and local auxiliary tasks are used to respectively enhance global and local diversity. Moreover, the global auxiliary task is used to implement the global search by ignoring constraints, so as to help the population of the main task pass through infeasible obstacles. The local auxiliary task is used to provide local diversity around the population of the main task, so as to exploit promising regions. Through the knowledge transfer among the three tasks, the search ability of the population of the main task will be significantly improved. Compared with other state-of-the-art CMOEAs, the experimental results on three benchmark test suites demonstrate the superior or competitive performance of the proposed CMOEA.展开更多

文摘The widespread adoption of aluminumalloy electric buses, known for their energy efficiency and eco-friendliness,faces a challenge due to the aluminum frame’s susceptibility to deformation compared to steel. This issue is further exacerbated by the stringent requirements imposed by the flammability and explosiveness of batteries, necessitating robust frame protection. Our study aims to optimize the connectors of aluminum alloy bus frames, emphasizing durability, energy efficiency, and safety. This research delves into Multi-Objective Coordinated Optimization(MCO)techniques for lightweight design in aluminum alloy bus body connectors. Our goal is to enhance lightweighting, reinforce energy absorption, and improve deformation resistance in connector components.Three typical aluminum alloy connectors were selected and a design optimization platform was built for their MCO using a variety of software and methods.Firstly, through three-point bending experiments and finite element analysis on three types of connector components,we identified optimized design parameters based on deformation patterns. Then, employing Optimal Latin hypercube design(OLHD),parametric modeling, and neural network approximation,we developed high-precision approximate models for the design parameters of each connector component, targeting energy absorption, mass, and logarithmic strain.Lastly, utilizing the Archive-based Micro Genetic Algorithm(AMGA),Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization(MOPSO),and Non-dominated SortingGenetic Algorithm(NSGA2),we explored optimized design solutions for these joint components.Subsequently,we simulated joint assembly buckling during bus rollover crash scenarios to verify and analyze the optimized solutions in three-point bending simulations. Each joint component showcased a remarkable 30%–40%mass reduction while boosting energy absorption. Our design optimization method exhibits high efficiency and costeffectiveness.Leveraging contemporary automation technology, the design optimization platform developed in this study is poised to facilitate intelligent optimization of lightweight metal components in future applications.

文摘In this work, the ternary azeotrope of tert-butyl alcohol/ethyl acetate/water is separated by extractive distillation(ED)to recover the available constituents and protect the environment.Based on the conductor like shielding model and relative volatility method, ethylene glycol was selected as the extractant in the separation process. In addition,in view of the characteristic that the relative volatility between components changes with pressure, the multi-objective optimization method based on nondominated sorting genetic algorithm II optimizes the pressure and the amount of solvent cooperatively to avoid falling into the optimal local solution.Based on the optimal process parameters, the proposed heat-integrated process can reduce the gas emissions by 29.30%.The heat-integrated ED,further coupled with the pervaporation process, can reduce gas emission by 42.36%and has the highest exergy efficiency of 47.56%.In addition, based on the heat-integrated process, the proposed two heat pump assisted heat-integrated ED processes show good economic and environmental performance. The double heat pump assisted heat-integrated ED can reduce the total annual cost by 28.78%and the gas emissions by 55.83%compared with the basis process, which has a good application prospect. This work provides a feasible approach for the separation of ternary azeotropes.

文摘During the last three decades, evolutionary algorithms(EAs)have shown superiority in solving complex optimization problems, especially those with multiple objectives and non-differentiable landscapes. However, due to the stochastic search strategies, the performance of most EAs deteriorates drastically when handling a large number of decision variables. To tackle the curse of dimensionality, this work proposes an efficient EA for solving super-large-scale multi-objective optimization problems with sparse optimal solutions. The proposed algorithm estimates the sparse distribution of optimal solutions by optimizing a binary vector for each solution, and provides a fast clustering method to highly reduce the dimensionality of the search space.More importantly, all the operations related to the decision variables only contain several matrix calculations, which can be directly accelerated by GPUs.While existing EAs are capable of handling fewer than 10000 real variables, the proposed algorithm is verified to be effective in handling 1000000 real variables.Furthermore, since the proposed algorithm handles the large number of variables via accelerated matrix calculations, its runtime can be reduced to less than 10%of the runtime of existing EAs.

文摘Most multimodal multi-objective evolutionary algorithms(MMEAs)aim to find all global Pareto optimal sets(PSs)for a multimodal multi-objective optimization problem(MMOP).However,in real-world problems, decision makers(DMs)may be also interested in local PSs.Also, searching for both global and local PSs is more general in view of dealing with MMOPs,which can be seen as generalized MMOPs.Moreover, most state-of-theart MMEAs exhibit poor convergence on high-dimension MMOPs and are unable to deal with constrained MMOPs.To address the above issues,we present a novel multimodal multiobjective coevolutionary algorithm(Co MMEA)to better produce both global and local PSs,and simultaneously,to improve the convergence performance in dealing with high-dimension MMOPs.Specifically, the Co MMEA introduces two archives to the search process, and coevolves them simultaneously through effective knowledge transfer. The convergence archive assists the Co MMEA to quickly approach the Pareto optimal front. The knowledge of the converged solutions is then transferred to the diversity archive which utilizes the local convergence indicator and the-dominance-based method to obtain global and local PSs effectively.Experimental results show that Co MMEA is competitive compared to seven state-of-the-art MMEAs on fifty-four complex MMOPs.

文摘Constrained multi-objective optimization problems(CMOPs) include the optimization of objective functions and the satisfaction of constraint conditions, which challenge the solvers. To solve CMOPs, constrained multi-objective evolutionary algorithms(CMOEAs) have been developed. Compared with other state-of-the-art CMOEAs, the experimental results on three benchmark test suites demonstrate the superior or competitive performance of the proposed CMOEA.
文摘Because solar energy is among the renewable energies,it has traditionally been used to provide lighting in buildings. When solar energy is effectively utilized during the day,the environment is not only more comfortable for users, but it also utilizes energy more efficiently for both heating and cooling purposes.Because of this, increasing the building’s energy efficiency requires first controlling the amount of light that enters the space.Considering that the only parts of the building that come into direct contact with the sun are the windows,it is essential to make use of louvers in order to regulate the amount of sunlight that enters the building.Through the use of Ant Colony Optimization(ACO),the purpose of this study is to estimate the proportions and technical specifications of external louvers,as well as to propose a model for designing the southern openings of educational space in order to maximize energy efficiency and intelligent consumption,as well as to ensure that the appropriate amount of light is provided.According to the findings of this research, the design of external louvers is heavily influenced by a total of five distinct aspects:the number of louvers, the depth of the louvers, the angle of rotation of the louvers, the distance between the louvers and the window, and the reflection coefficient of the louvers. The results of the 2067 simulated case study show that the best reflection rates of the louvers are between 0 and 15 percent, and the most optimal distance between the louvers and the window is in the range of 0 to 18 centimeters.Additionally, the results show that the best distance between the louvers and the window is in the range of 0 to 18 centimeters.

文摘To enhance the output torque and minimize the torque ripple of coaxial magnetic gear(CMG),a novel auxiliary flux modulator CMG with unequal magnetic poles is proposed. This design incorporates an inner rotor with an asymmetric sector and a trapezoidal combined N-S pole structure, featuring Halbach arrays for the arrangement of permanent magnets(PMs).The outer rotor PMs adopt a Spoke-type configuration. To optimize the CMG for high output torque and low torque ripple,a sensitivity analysis is conducted to identify key size parameters that significantly influence the optimization objectives.Based on the sensitivity hierarchy of these parameters,a multi-objective optimization analysis is performed using a genetic algorithm(GA)to determine the optimal structural parameter values of the CMG.In addition,a coaxial magnetic gear(CMG)topology with 4 inner and 17 outer pole pairs is adopted, and the parametric model is established. Finally, the electromagnetic properties of the CMG are evaluated using the finite element method. The results indicate a remarkable reduction in torque ripple, specifically by 46.15%.

文摘The goal of this research is to look at multi-target optimization of a two-stage helical gearbox in order to determine the best key design elements for reducing gearbox height and enhancing gearbox efficiency. To do this, the method known as Taguchi and GRA(Grey Relation Analysis)were used in two stages to address the problem. The single-objective optimization problem was addressed first to close the gap between variable levels, and then the multi-objective optimization problem was solved to determine the best primary design variables. The first and second stage CWFWs(Coefficients of Wheel Face Width),ACS(Permissible Contact Stresses),and first stage gear ratio were also calculated. The study’s findings were utilized to identify the best values for five critical design aspects of a two-stage helical gearbox.

文摘With the rapid development of urban road traffic and the increasing number of vehicles, how to alleviate traffic congestion is one of the hot issues that need to be urgently addressed in building smart cities. Therefore,in this paper,a nonlinear multi-objective optimization model of urban intersection signal timing based on a Genetic Algorithm was constructed.Specifically,a typical urban intersection was selected as the research object, and drivers’acceleration habits were taken into account. What’s more, the shortest average delay time, the least average number of stops, and the maximum capacity of the intersection were regarded as the optimization objectives. The optimization results show that compared with the Webster method when the vehicle speed is 60 km/h and the acceleration is 2.5 m/s^(2),the signal intersection timing scheme based on the proposed Genetic Algorithm multi-objective optimization reduces the intersection signal cycle time by 14.6%,the average vehicle delay time by 12.9%,the capacity by 16.2%,and the average number of vehicles stop by 0.4%.To verify the simulation results, the authors imported the optimized timing scheme into the constructed Simulation of the Urban Mobility model. The experimental results show that the authors optimized timing scheme is superior to Webster’s in terms of vehicle average loss time reduction, carbon monoxide emission, particulate matter emission, and vehicle fuel consumption. The research in this paper provides a basis for Genetic algorithms in traffic signal control.

文摘The grinding and classification process is one of the key sub-processes in mineral processing, which influences the final process indexes significantly and determines energy and ball consumption of the whole plant. Therefore, optimal control of the process has been very important in practice. In order to stabilize the grinding index and improve grinding capacity in the process,a process model based on population balance model(PBM) is calibrated in this study. The correlation between the mill power and the operating variables in the grinding process is modelled by using the response surface method(RSM), which solves the problem where the traditional power modeling method relies on some unobservable mechanism-related parameters. On this basis, a multi-objective optimization model is established to maximize the useful power of the grinding circuit to improve the throughput of the grinding operation and improve the fraction of –0.074 mm particles in the hydrocyclone overflow to smooth the subsequent flotation operation. The elite non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II(NSGA-II) is then employed to solve the multi-objective optimization problem. Finally, subjective and objective weighting methods and integrated multi-attribute decision-making methods are used to select the optimal solution on the Pareto optimal solution set. The results demonstrate that the throughput of the mill and the fraction of –0.074 mm particles in the overflow of the cyclone are increased by 3.83 t/h and 2.53%, respectively.
